One further question.
! Bakugo's headband is solid? I thought it was just stiff fabric. Not like sharp…lol.

! Eh, I think we can put this incident down to the "laws of comedy".

! Eh, I think we can put this incident down to the "laws of comedy".
I figured. I was just pondering lol.
! Dabi being a Noumu seems more likely now. It would explain why the doctor is so fond of him.
! Dabi being a Noumu seems more likely now. It would explain why the doctor is so fond of him.
! But Dabi was introduced via Giran. I mean it's still possible. But it would be odd.
! Dabi being a Nomu done with Touya would have been interesting twist on the obvious reveal. He's not just a kid throwing a tantrum but a bastardization of the kid they lost. Maybe to a terrible disease or injuries.
I hope that's not true.
! We don't need to have AFO and Ujiko's fingers in everyone's backstory. I'm sticking to my theory Dabi doesn't remember his life as Toya from whatever accident befell him.
! I know it's been said a billion times, but this may kick start a small prison break arc. We got some heroes, we got the prison, all we need is Ujiko sending in Giganto or some High Ends to make sure Black Mist doesn't spill any beans and viola!
! He better has a freaking memory or else it's cheapest emptiest reveal ever. What's the point of the connection if it doesn't inform who he is. God I would hate an amnesia approach.
! He better has a freaking memory or else it's cheapest emptiest reveal ever. What's the point of the connection if it doesn't inform who he is. God I would hate an amnesia approach.
! Problem is there isn't a connection. It's never been personal on Dabi's side. He's never reacted to a Todoroki in any way that implies he knows or hates them on a personal level. Plus, he hasn't revealed to the world he's the Number One hero's son. That would instantly tarnish Endeavor's image. My guess is he hasn't because he doesn't remember.
! To me if their isn't a connection, there's no point to the reveal. Facepalm being the grandson matters because Sylar knows who he is and manipulated not because it's a neat coincidence. If Dabi being Touya doesn't influence his character don't make him Touya in the first place.

! I kinda feel he has given some indication there's something between him and the Todoroki's. Using Shouto's full name when he nabbed Bakugo. And then again when he was in front of Endeavor with the High End. Seemed like he was taunting them.

What Nectar?!
! That's the absolute opposite of what his being doing. First encounter with Shouto he taunts him in his failure in the rescue. In the High End recovery he again taunts Enji, and if not for his eyes partially covered in blood and fatigue form being beaten he might had recognized Touya. Dabi was about to go ballistic on Enji's and Hawk's ass until Miruko arrived.
I just don't see it that way, fam.
! Sure, there's something there with Dabi calling every Todoroki by their full name, but I chalk that up to his subconscious, not an intentional hatred. I think Hori showing Dabi forgetting about Snatch was a clue he doesn't remember who he was. Maybe Hori's going super subtle with it, but I see no reason whatsoever for Dabi himself to be subtle, especially when he was face-to-face with Endeavor.
Well Nectar, my friend, that's ok to have your own opinion.
! But I don't thing Hori would blue ball the fans so much with Dabi being a Todoroki in the end for it not be, it would be a massive bad move on his part. And didn't Twice and Snatch commented on how Dabi is going own burning people alive, he simply didn't care enough for Snatch to remember him? He simply doesn't care, he probably knows he is not strong enough to get his vengeance solo against Enji and probably can't prove how his is still alive after being presumed dead, so he is biding his time until he throw shit on the fan.

Guess we don't have to spoiler it anymore.
Anyway, I totally agree Dabi's Toya, I just don't think he remembers it. That line about forgetting Snatch and his scab bleeding in response is too suspicious. There's more going on here. Plus, again, Dabi didn't make his face-to-face with Endeavor personal. That's just too weird for me. He was more emotional fighting Geten than going after Endeavor! Nope, nope, nope. There should be no chill for Endeavor at all and Dabi having amnesia is only thing I can think of to explain it.

This the 1st time Shiggy has been in the top 10? Toga also jumped too. Noice. I don't get how Iida went up…Deku still not closer to catching Bakugo lol.
How in hell Iida managed that 5th position?! It’s as weird as Jeanist in the last.

Nah, Ida has been in the top 10 consistently since the first one, and he was 5th in the third one too. It doesn't come out of nowhere.

It kinda is outta nowhere. He's barely relevant in the story. Ochako at least kinda appears and does stuff more often than he does. Plus the whole she's probably Deku's future girlfriend thing probably keeps her afloat in people's minds. Iida got an okay showing during the class team ups. But he's kinda faded into just hand signs.
But remember, screentime doesn't matter for something like this.
It's simply a vote about who you like the most. A popularity contest.
If Iida is still the character a certain person likes the most, even if he's not done anything for a while, then so be it.
Also, damn… the popularity contest for this manga definitely has a "big three" situation when it comes to the podium.
Bakugo, Deku, Todoroki combined: 47,054 votes.
Even if the rest of the top ten (4th-10th) pooled their votes together, they only had 12,328 votes.
They'd only reach third place, with Deku barely keeping his position above them.
I suppose that's true. But it's still odd to me. If Bakugo had become irrelevant to the story or had as much presence as Sero I don't think I would have kept voting for him. Just feels strange to me that a couple thousand people liked Iida that much.
Glad to see some villains cracking the Top 10. I'm curious to know where Twice and Hawks landed. I thought Hawks was the Trafalgar Law of series and would hit Top 10 easily.
Ah, the girls are barely sticking in there!
My husband Shouto-kun in third place?! :(
McBoom is really dominating. Deku should be ashame. It's your manga dammit. Rock man gets a lot more love than I would expect and FloatyGirl a lot less. Shame on everyone to not give Awks the love he deserves.
Deku hasn't been an interesting character since the Hero License Exam arc, so Bakugo surpassing is entirely his own fault.

It's more that he only won the first one. There's an inherent boost to being the main character and always being on screen. I mean MCBoom will disappear for long stretches at times or barely cameo.
Justice for Mirio!! I'm really interested on reading to full poll now. If you had to rank the characters currently what would be your list?

I'm not disagreeing per say, but it's not like Bakugo's really done a whole lot since then either.

I know that, but at the very least when Bakugo does manage to show up he tends to have a memorable character growth or decent humor moment. Even going back to the recent second internship arc, I still remember Bakugo's bitter commentary being a little funny. Same for the Remedial Course arc. But besides that, his character arc is still memorable for how subversive it is and he got some notable focus in the Remedial Class A vs Class B fights.
I can't remember ANY memorable Deku moments, big or small from the past few years that aren't him getting a power-up or fighting the main antagonist. His character has gotten so dry and predictable that I rolled my eyes when he confronted Overhaul and stole the spotlight from someone actually compelling like Mirio, or how the Gentle fight's appeal aside from choreography was with the villains rather than Deku's character or motivations being the slightest bit interesting.
As for my top ten…
Deku and Iida would have been in my top ten in previous years for how great their internal conflicts and character arcs were, but they haven't done anything interesting in so long that they would get booted off easily. And Bakugo annoys me now because Horikoshi refuses to let him mature by quitting with the insults and apologizing to Deku, not to mention praising him for every bare minimum teamwork effort he does. And I want Tokoyami in there too but Horikoshi keeps swiping him to the side even though he's supposed to intern under Hawks lol. Off the top of my head and in non-ranked order, I would probably say:
Endeavor
Shigaraki
Twice
Dr. Ujiko
Mirio
Hawks
Gentle
Re-Destro Lex Laughter
Toga (her backstory was creepy and raised interesting philosophical questions about Quirks, free will, and societal treatment)
Natsuo Todoroki (might seem weird to list him in a top ten list but it makes perfect sense when you realize every one of Endeavor's big character moments since the High-End arc has been tied to him as Endeavor's foil.)
Honorable mentions to Shinso and Wash.
Shoto is by far the least interesting person in his plot and would be the least interesting person in 1-A if not for 1/3 of the class being superfluous.
Also his new hero outfit still looks like shit.
^ I completely concur with this as well. It's actually really sad how I'm more invested in the Todoroki drama for Endeavor and Shoto's brother who barely has any panel time rather than Shoto himself.
I'm more interested in following the abuser side character than the abuse survivor main character. That. Is. Hilarious.
And I think the issue is because Horikoshi still only ties Shoto's relevancy to Endeavor even though he's already mostly over Endeavor aside from "forgiving him", instead of expanding his character interaction potential and have him do other stuff besides living in his father's shadow. If he wants to be his own man, then he needs to be open to different influences and experiences not tied to Endeavor.
And yeah, he really needs a better costume.
If Shoto's going to tie himself to his father, he should at least have the decency to observe that Endeavor knows what aesthetics are.

So far as the Bakugo Discourse goes, the kid is a fuckton more bearable when he's doing his schtick around the rest of the class who then dunk on him.
On his own or god help me with Izuku, it's just...him being a belligerent ass.

Unfortunately Shoto has the same imagination as Momo.

Totally agree.
I saw a bit more of the rankings outside of the top 10. Hawks was pretty close to 10th place. Vibration guy is somehow 15th.
The revelation that turtle-body girl is her girlfriend might have gained him some shippers support.
Is Endy the one just before Dabi? Is even the poll teasing us?!
Emotional Heavy Chapter Incoming

! LOOOOOOL, Aizawa never actually fully expelled anyone. Not quite as harsh as Kakashi after all.
I just read last week's and this week's chapters. Good stuff.
And regarding something from last chapter. I feel like Uraraka is the traitor?
Man there have just been several times in the series we're her weirdness goes beyond her just being shy about liking Deku. I wish I could remember exactly where all of the moments are? But in that chapter she had another one of those moments. The way she talked about it, it's not that she doesn't like Deku but that she can't like him. And that is something beyond a shy crush.
And I don't feel like it's "I need to be focused on my hero stuff so no boys right now." I don't get that vibe? It's like she gets this dead kind of look and says something strange.
And with that this chapter has…
! fixed the issue I had with Aizawa expelling so many students in such a short time, throwing My Hero Vigilantes a big out of wack. It all fits perfectly now. Sorry I doubted you MHV.
! Otherwise, it was a good chapter. But, we haven't seen Black Mist's response yet. Problem is even if he starts to remember Ujiko will no doubt catch wind of it and send in the big guns to shut him down permanently.
There are the results from 11 to 44.
Honestly pretty vanilla poll overall. Disregarding some stuff like Shindo, most people are around where you'd expect them to be.
Also 70000 total votes. And over half of those went to the top 3 XD.
Three, no two more villains cracked the Top 20 (Sorry Endeavor). Nice. Jiro's still hanging on a Class A favorite and Twice is closer to hitting the Top 20.

We've been in her POV so unless she's being controlled without knowing it may not be possible.
! I tell you what, if Aizawa succeeded in getting Kurogiri to join the hero side then I'd be really impressed.
I'm really interested in where you're going with this, Horikoshi.
! There's potential here to blow some minds, and also boost the good guy's chances against the wave of enemies that are on the horizon now.
The chapter is puzzling to me. Most of the content is good and the chapter itself might be good but the premise is a big nope for me.
! The idea of a Nomu being that intelligent from the begenning of the series is strange as far as I am concerned. Eraserhead never actually expelling people is the kind of reveal I hate where a more strict/harsh approach of a beloved chracter is revealed to be a ruse. Also as Eraser said the plan is quite silly when done in a controlled environment.
! I did however like the flashback and the idea of Eraser trying to force himself to keep his eyes open. It was done subtle enough at the begenning and I think his speech is really good. However I think they should should have stretch it over a couple day or even a week where Mike is the one doing the talking and Erser tries to keep his eyes open. Then you see Eraser slowly break the facade of professionalism to try reaching his friend. With probably a little bit more from Smokey to push him.
! Funny enough the material I feel I missed in Vigilante isn't the friendship with the dead guy but present Mic and Eraser being that close.

! Not to mention stupid.

About the Nomu thing.
! For me a smart Nomu isn't a problem because of No. 6 in MHV. Ujiko was capable of making smart creatures for awhile now but for some reason when in a different direction. My guess either wanting to stomp out free will or certain types or a certain amount of quirks mess up a body's mind.

! My take away from the introduction was that he was serious about kicking out a student but with Deku applying what he told him so quickly he saw potential rather than just recklessness and pretended it was an hoax to keep him.
! Not he never expel people but for some reason people think he does and everyone is freaking out for no reason.
! I think the closest one to that I can remember is Kakashi and I would have been annoyed if it was an hoax rather than hero proving himself.
! Aizawa has moved from dumbass teacher who throws out an entire generation of potential because of his dumb standards to just a guy that likes to gaslight kids.
My Hero Vigilantes 67 is out!
! A slice-of-life-chapter mostly about Pop Step. I like her now so I'm fine with it. Makoto's still a powerhouse two years later, but we still don't know if Captain Celebrity hero rank. Saving it for the main series, perhaps?
! I wonder if Makoto's planning on convincing Koichi to become a hero. With her skills he'll be a top hero in no time.
I just saw some clips of the anime episode for today. For those of you watching it. Where do you think this season will end? Cause honestly I thought that the Red Riot Fat Gum fight was much further into the arc. So this feels faster paced than I expected. I had been putting off watching this season since the Yakuza arc wasn't my favorite.

We know the titles of the next few episodes and it seems the Mirio fight is gonna be happening before new year, so the Overhaul arc should end in January. Remedial Course and Cultural Festival are definitely gonna be adapted, but with this pacing they can even end the season with Endeavor vs High-End if they want.

The Shie Hassaikai arc end with Chapter #163, which is about eighteen chapters from where the animated series currently is with Episode #72. Working under the assumption that the remaining episodes will be adapted at two chapters per episode then that means that the arc will end in ten episodes, Episode #81 or #82. Since this season begin with Episode #64 it is likely going to end with Episode #88 or #89. This would otherwise mean that six or seven episodes would remain for season four. The Remedial Course arc is only five chapters, so unless they only adapt one chapter per episode that's going to be a doozy. Then again, Episode #72 apparently covered #142-142, so perhaps the arc isn't going to be handled that slowly? If Episode #73-74–the final two episodes airing in the Fall 2019 cour--both cover eight chapters that is going to bring us up to #153. I wonder if they'll just blow through the ten remaining chapters in January? That'd be nice.
