I have to say something: i just hate the use of the term 'Paradise' when people talk about the first half of the Grand Line. Because that is not the official name,altough the fandom chose to call it that way. The narrator said "Compared to the New World,the first half was a paradise". But i just hate the use of that term like it was an official name. I know,its just a silly thing,but i wanted to say it. I prefer to use the term 'First half of the Grand Line' altough its longer haha.

We have seen people use it in the manga. It's about as informal than the designation of new world for the second half.

And I hope Oda has not forgotten About "HighWest". It was only mentioned once though. But if sky Islands are restricted to just the paradise and NW, "HighWest" could be around Elbaf somehow.
Did Bellamy state how he came to Skypea? I remember he lost some crewmates on the way.

EDIT: this might have been discussed a lot during EL, but do you think that there is an area in the NW with Always night? EL Always had day, so there should be a place with Always night.

I actually saw a theory on Reddit the other day that suggested Borsalino was responsible for Enies Lobby, his fruit affecting the environment the same way Sakazuki and Kuzan changed Punk Hazard and Ace (temporarily) changed Drum. Honestly the always day thing seems to get forgotten a lot, but I'd say that's the best theory I've seen about it. And if that's true, and you do want an always night area, there's always Blackbeard. In fact, imagine the final battle starting with that. Luffy and Blackbeard stare each other down. Blackbeard smiles and that dark energy starts rising from his body, then all of a sudden the daylight shuts off. Just disappears. And then, the fighting starts…

I seem to recall Zeff mentioning way back in east blue that the first part of the grandline is refered to as paradise as well. Which in retrospect we now know meant that ol' Zeffer was most likely a new world pirate at some point in his life

If you feel more comfortable calling it "first half of the GL", then please go ahead. Bottom line is: if one types "paradise", most fans know what one means. And it's less characters to type. We can even use the "". I just don't wanna use the term "GL" for the 1st half, cause that is the whole Thing ("paradise" and NW).

More logia aftereffects or permanent awakening around the world, even if they turn out to be from a previous generation of ability users would be a pretty neat retroactive explanation for how dang weird the world is, if Oda does choose to commit to that.

It is totally possible the Ohara globe will never be mentioned again and the solution will just be that it was geocentric and that won't need to be said because there's no reason it would be anything else. I would accept that if it came to pass. But also, it's by far the most boring explanation. I would much rather a fun, lore-compliant globe that plays into the wider story. The issue of the World Government's Void Century actions needing to be more than just a genocide is one reason I like the idea of there previously being more moons. I think destroying moons more than qualifies as being a level above.

I agree that we're unlikely to get a full arc on the moon. Its too barren, too separate from the current driving factors of the narrative (Skypiea got away with being isolated from the World Government and the world of pirates because it was so early on, but it wouldn't be the same at this point), and the obvious boss of the place has already been beaten once. But we don't need to physically go to the moon, we just need to learn about the moon and how people ended up there in the first place. That's why I reckon Enel descending and bringing all the relveant lore with him as a smaller part of another arc is more likely.

See I could accept Enies Lobby not ever getting a full explanation because the world of One Piece is just like that, but any kind of lore about an actual battle explaining the hole and the daylight all together would absolutely make my day.

That's a really interesting point in favour of moons. I like to think it also plays into the minks' reputation as savage warriors. If there were seven moons its logical they could have gone sulong almost every night, which is much more fearsome than "probably no more than twice a month." Either way, you're right that Oda's worldbuilding is so fantastic and consistent so far we can easily trust him to have a good way to make everything feel connected and fitting.

Yes.
I thought, at that point, that part of the ship was broken by Shanks haki

I think it's fairly likely it is, even if the sound effects are just generic rumbly ones. The effects of Shanks' haki are being talked up through the scene, and we saw conqueror's haki damaging the environment in Luffy vs Katakuri. So yeah, it's a pretty safe bet that was Shanks.

It reminds me of the lyrics of Binks’ Sake. Here is my compilation of interesting theories about Laugh Tale from Japanese fandoms.

The last line of Binks’ Sake lyrics says, “Never-ending, ever-wandering Laugh Tale (笑い話)”. The whole lyrics were created by Oda himself.

If Laugh Tale (Raftel) has something to do with the clan of D, “D” might represent laughing emoticons like :D or XD.

Characters who have “D” middle name such as Roger, Ace, Luffy and Saul have shown smiles/laughs even when facing death.
Saul left a strong message to Robin, “Keep on laughing when you are in predicaments!!”.

Speaking of Binks’ Sake, sake is known as Japanese alcoholic beverage. Shanks has a sword called Griffon.

That is actually a really amazing theory.
The only thing against it is that Law who is also a D. Doesn't smile much, or ever.

Also I have always assumed that Luffy's love for Partying was inspired by Shanks because its all they did at his village.
That's why he wanted a musician from so early on.
I don't remember his flashback with Ace having much to do with parties.

You mean aside from the one from Oda that we're using? It was shown on the sail of Noland's ship the same chapter the kingdom was first mentioned, so there really wasn't a chance for any other speculative romanisations to appear.

Seeing how Burguess, Shilliew, Auger and Pizarro are one to four in Blackbeards crew makes me feel convinced that their vs's are indeed Jinbe(1), Zoro(2), Usopp(3) and Sanji(4).

I just hope we knew more about Pizarro, but since he is from North Blue I really hope he has some sort of beef with the Vinsmoke Family that would pretty much comfirm his future fight with Mr Prince.

For those not clicking into that cancer, this is a thread about not liking Sanji and the example is from when Jinbei was giving some of the crew. history of the Sun Pirates and Sanji said that he can never forgive Jinbei. He went on to say that Jinbe should cut himself open and Nami says no because it wasn't Jinbei's intention. In this thread, they say that Sanji

1. Show respect to Jinbei because Luffy refers to him as nakama
2. Refers to actions like this as a character flaw
3. Says this is simp behavior and if it was Zoro, Luffy or any other dude, Sanji wouldn't react this way. He's only doing this because it's a female

Now I want to clearly say that I disagree with all of these points for this Jinbei example.

1. Jinbei felt responsible because he indirectly caused this by becoming Warlord and letting Arlong be free. He intended to stop Arlong, but Arlong stifled info of his wickedness through funds. It's not only that Jinbei feels responsible, he kind of is responsible. He could've stopped Arlong and Cocoyashi wouldn't had gone through all of that mess. It's a "am I my brother's keeper" kind of situation. Arlong did this, but Sanji isn't wrong for seeing that Jinbei is heavily connected to Nami's suffering.

This is the same Sanji that has almost sacrificed himself for Luffy with Kuma, WCI arc and even in Baratie arc. It would be inconsistent for Sanji to not be this dramatic over a loved one's suffering.

2. Every crew member has their own mind. How is it that because Luffy respects someone, the rest of the crew should disregard any thought or feeling and fall in line? That's what I think when I see "have some respect for your captain's friend". I've seen Luffy say "I want ____ as a nakama" and the crew be against it. How many times have different crew members disagreed with Luffy? Is Sanji supposed to suppress his feelings because Jinbei helped Luffy?

3. I suspect this is the usual Sanji hate train. I'm a Zoro fan and see the Sanji hate all of the time. Sanji can't be vulnerable, make bad choices or have a strong disposition without there being a "this is why I hate Sanji". In this example, Sanji isn't "wrong" for strongly hating Jinbei for Nami's pain. How could he be wrong when even Jinbei strongly felt responsible? Jinbei is honorable.

I always saw Arlong as mini-shichibukai the way he worked together with corrupted marines.
He did that on a small scale, what the real shichibukai did on a bigger scale. However, Arlong's crimes have never been approved by the WG.

Yeah look I'm the last person to advocate taking Oda's romanisations at face value, but this one is so far from pronouncable English that I think it has to be deliberate. It looks like something taken from another language entirely, but I don't have the etymology chops to work out exactly which one. Maybe something from the area of Russia, given how the castle there is designed…

I think Alabasta been kicked out of the WG and their sending the Marines to make they get Pluton. It's where I think Blackbeard going as well to make Pluton his.

I doubt that Imu is looking to marry. The way the scene was portrayed with posters of Luffy, Shirahoshi and BB didn't make it look like he was looking for a partner out of those 4. Rather like he was picking a target to eliminate. And recall: the Gorosei literally asked if he had decided on "the light to be extinguished from the world". Not just that: "another" light, implying that he's killed people behind the scenes before.
