! Not liking the "I'm going to bang my sister's ex-husband" plotline, about the same ammount of "I'm going to bang my ex-wife's sister" plotline of last half of chapters.
! Beastboy is about to fuck everything up isn't he? Go meet cyborg and sing about pancakes or whatever you did in the original series before you get yourself killed kid.
! Not feeling Bryon, shouldn't played the Doctor card yet (even if I think is a red herring), Forager while perfect, should also get to grow, I feel like the supernatural path for non-binary inclusion doesn't work as an stand in for the real thing.
! I feel with the Doctor getting some degree of control over Violet, Terra being a traitor, and Bryon being just stupid, Beast boy being even stupider, and Cyborg being half doomsday device, the situation of the end of season one where half of the team was compromised is repeating itself, but I'm not certain that the power of friendship will save the day this time.
! Speaking of the pileup of secrets, I'm being hypocritical here with the league, the goverments, the light's secrets being all paraded, being a dangerous and worrying prospect, but I'm definitelly against Gar's desire to break it down, as he just sees the lies as lies, not as the messy web of super powers playing a cold war that when disturbed it's going to crash badly on the most vulnerable people. The light has the location of everyone's families, the US, the Russians and the league have now this current deadlock. This can't end good, or in a clean simple way.
! Fun how Virgil counted Ed and Kid flash as a couple in his 7th wheel thing, had to re-check the hugs scene to see if he didn't sneak a kiss.
! Ed's accent is awful. That's not how an argentinian sounds speaking english at all.
Young Justice RETURSN OMG

-
! Good episodes, although I hope Vic gets out of his funk soon. It's the same old thing every episode. He's needs a dose of Beast Boy, stat. Glad to see Big Barda and Guy Gardener in the series.
! I really love the politics of the show. All of it is played realistically, which I guess isn't saying much considering how crazy it is these days. Surprised it took this long to see the Suicide Squad, that's a fun component I hope they use more. And, it's cool seeing Livewire and Mist as non villains and a couple.
! I totally didn't recognize civilian Blue Beetle. And, I still don't know who his girlfriend is.! Not liking the "I'm going to bang my sister's ex-husband" plotline, about the same ammount of "I'm going to bang my ex-wife's sister" plotline of last half of chapters.

! Ed's accent is awful. That's not how an argentinian sounds speaking english at all.! I second your don't screw your sister's ex opinion. I'm surprised the grandma is okay with it.
! I'm gonna give Beast Boy the benefit of the doubt because I think this is leading to him forming the Teen Titans. That'll make, what, 87 teams shown in the series? Still waiting on The Green Team.
! Maybe Vigil knows something we don't about Bart and Ed. Those two were in a lot of scenes together. The shippers must be having a field day. -
! I totally didn't recognize civilian Blue Beetle. And, I still don't know who his girlfriend is.
Don't think this needs spoiler quotes. Season 3 introduced a new team member called 13, who seems to have unlucky magic powers. She's going out with Jaime Reyes, Blue Beetle.
-
Yeah, I was kinda annoyed that they brought her to the mission, but then she used her powers and "duh". I think she's kind of like scarlet witch or jinx (from TT) with vaguely defined magic powers that sum up to "lucky telekinesis"
-
! What's up with all the scooby doo nonsense?
-
! Psha, smartphones and propper internet in Cuba, yeah right. Poor soldier is dead now. Asshole superior saw him.
-
Episode 18
! Getting bored of the Outsiders team. There's not enough personality between them and Beast Boy is way too serious now. These kids have been working together for awhile; where's the fun? It's can't all be put on Kid Flash's shoulders.
! Klarion was okay, but his voice doesn't seem to fit the character. The hashtag/popularity stuff is too cheesy for my taste, but I like the Violet and Harper subplot. Guess the doctor isn't evil, unless it's a double fake out.! Psha, smartphones and propper internet in Cuba, yeah right. Poor soldier is dead now. Asshole superior saw him.
! Yeah, that was weird. I'm no expert, but I didn't think military personnel are allowed to film stuff on their phones during a live mission and post it on the internet.
-
Klarion worked for me just for the sheer horror of his actions.
And the outsiders should be fast approaching a wall, as the light can't let them run unchecked for long, and as the old methods were proven ineffective, my guess is that a letal approach will be used.
The social media aspect works in developed countries and urban areas. Rural Cuba in a secret abandoned factory with 3 cops/soldiers and one civilian?

**"We're writing. We're coming up with stories. We're on it." said Vietti.
Weisman teased a significant shift in tone for Season 4, even as the series continues further the Apokolips storyline.
"More is coming from Apokolips. We've got a real slow burn on Apokolips, but it builds every season. We've had a couple seasons in a row that have been epicly plot-focused, but I think we're pushing back to a little more of a character focus in Season 4. There will be new characters - I won't say who - but we're going to focus in more on a smaller cast."**
-
I am just hyped that Klarion seems to be locked up in Fate's tower for a while. He's been the one that makes less sense in that group since day one, most of them are thinkers and politicians, even some muscle here and there tempered with global ambitions, with Darkseid's representative being just there to keep the super soldiers flowing, but Klarion just.. why does he (or the cat) wants in on the club? It doesn't seem like he's amping up the chaos he could be doing. Is he bound to savage?
-
! While I don't fully embrace "the darkness", what Wonder Woman is proposing is staying there with her feet on the ground while Lex keeps on turning public oppinion on them, or undermining them to use as pawns later. You can't eat honor, and if you are a puppet of the guy who is selling children as special soldiers, then you should take measures to stop it. Geopolitical vs Super Villains is a complex issue.
! But it is one thing to stage incidents for minions and enemies, and another to use your own alies as pawns, like Beastboy hasn't done anything stupid because he embraces the mission, but if he finds out that it was all playing the league's show, or if the general public finds out that they are just a sham, there will be fallout.
! I am glad of the emotional maturity of Violet, and that this show presents on it's teen characters, but I feel a little dupped as I believe she told these two truths to try and push Brion away to prepare for her death. Didn't like the "I forgive you" victim role for Brion in the first truth, but w/e, it seemed to be to load pressure off her rather than any more malicious or posesive. The second truth tho, even in the best of cases he would need time. I was worried that Terra would blow her lid, and she did technically blew it with the incorrect report.
! The league and the teams sidesteping Russia, Cuba and fictional country with eternal president. Like "these countries exist, and have issues, but they aren't our issues".. Dunno how to feel about that. -
! If the show is no longer for kids, why a very special episode about domestic violence? It fits, and it's one of those with 4 paralel plots, but with Violet's deaths and final death, and seeing Vic's heart again, just who are they hoping to speak with this?
! Kaldur has a boyfriend.
! Terra is so cute, why will you be all evil? Or for the 5th time, is the evilness a red herring?
! Vic got some resolution to a part of his troubles. Violet as well, I don't know how the chair asshole would have reacted to her, but it could have been useful.
! When Dr. Stone arrived I thought that he was the expert that the Doctor has been calling and refering ever since Violet started dying, but then she called the expert and nope, something sinister still brewing that side.
! I'm starting to think that the doctor is just stupid. Like whomever is the expert might be using her, but she trully believes that is helping Violet.
! Kaldur is starting to fear the darkness. After going THAT far as Manta's lutenant, now he gets squeamish? I can buy that, as the first time stoping meant death, and this time the consequences are uncertain. Also once you do something that hurts you bad you start having fears about it.
! Finally lol at the "let's save some money" montage at the end, not bothered by it but I find it funny.Six episodes to end the season, and there will be at the very least a 2 parter (I think that maybe the final will be a three parter, as it's supposed to end before september.
-
I just want will and Artemis to kiss and freak out instantly because they feel like they kissed a sibling, and be done with that thread.
-
This show is so much better when not focusing on the Outsiders
! This latest episode was great. I like character focused episodes like this. Happy Angsty Vic is done. Love seeing the Super Bros. together again. I had no idea Kaldur had parents from above and below the ocean. Oh, and he's gay. Didn't see that coming. Is his boyfriend, Tempest? This episode touched on so much but it didn't feel stuffed. Great job.
! See? This is what I want from the Outsiders team, more interactions between team members, not necessarily drama, but a since of friendship/family.! If the show is no longer for kids, why a very special episode about domestic violence? It fits, and it's one of those with 4 paralel plots, but with Violet's deaths and final death, and seeing Vic's heart again, just who are they hoping to speak with this?

! I'd say this season is more for teens so I don't mind the abuse subplot.
I'm more concerned with the Doctor than Terra. She may not be evil, but her unnamed friend probably is. Hm, an evil doctor. I'm not familiar enough with DC to guess who it could be.
! What was going on in the credits? Was Black Lightning and the Doctor getting drunk? The credits were cute in the beginning, but I'm over them now.I just want will and Artemis to kiss and freak out instantly because they feel like they kissed a sibling, and be done with that thread.
Like what happened between Cordelia and Wesley on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That'd be perfect.
-
lol, I haven't watched all of the early buffy seasons, but they did reference this kiss when Wesley joined Angel Investigations. I find hilarious the ill fitting suit that Wesley is carrying, like 2 sizes bigger than him.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I'd also recomend against having Kaldur, Dr. Stone and Black Lighting in the same episode, just because their voice actor doesn't have enough range for all of them, or just have too similar voices and styles. Kaldur and the doctor have enough range to make the distinction, but then Black lighting is like the mid point and mushes it all together. Isn't he supposed to be Cyborg in Teen Titans? I guess is the fault of the director/writters to make the roles that close.
Like Dragon Ball, they try to keep the "Son"s separated, as Goku and Gohan have a very distinct style, goku has the "hick" angle, adn goten has the kid angle, but when the three are in the same episode, they kinda meld together.
Contrast with Lani of team four star, who I didn't realize was Vegeta, Picollo, Krillin and Roshi until a lot later than I should, but once he took over Nail it became the bridge between Vegeta and Picollo.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
He's also Black Manta and I've never noticed, his range is very good then, the problem is these two. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1146051/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t5

Okay. I wanna start watching this now. But is there an app for consoles? Also is only season 3 available? I don't see 1 and 2 of outsiders on the site.

For consoles yoy can get Season 1 and 2, season 3 is exclusive to DC Universe.
All seasons of Young Justice are on DC Universe
-
1 and 2 are on Netflix.

I don't see young justice on Netflix at all. So just the DC site has all the seasons of Outsider?

The show is young Justice. Outsider is the subtitle.
Like Judgment day for terminator 2 or Revolutions for matrix 3 or full throttle for Charlie's angels 2.

The alliance between Savage and Darkseid is weird. Make an alliance with a bunch of savage with sticks because maybe in a couple of centuries they will give you a couple of useful soldiers? Darkseid really didn't get much out of it and I don't see why he would ever accept. Metas are fine but I'm pretty sure a fleet of pardemons is much easier produce. Maybe if he was getting the war word but that's Savage toy also.
Also I can sort of understand everyone motive to join the light. Some would enjoy outsmarting Darkseid while others likes power and want to divide the world after. But I feel weird about the lord of chaos. I feel this BS is beneath his paygrade and totally not his style. Kinda feel the same about Deathstroke wanting power instead of just money but that's my comic bias talking not the show. I stand by the kid magician tho. Also does Nabu secret origin feels weird to anyone else?
I don't mind the Artemis/Red Arrow thing since there wasn't a love triangle that he is winning by Wally dying and they seem like reasonable adults. I don't need Artemis to be a widow forever and Red and Cheshire don't seem like a real couple. More like a couple of passionate from time to time. With Cheshire basically trying to keep away as much as possible.
There is a lot of messiness that bores me in the middle. They are trying to many plots at once in my opinion. I'm hoping it beautifully comes together at the end like season but it's taking longer than last time. Got a couple of episode left to binge.
I'm still not sure how much the show is up Batman's ass or not. Are we doing Batman is awesome and always right or are we doing Batman has flaws?
I think the show is at it strongest when building from the original crew and it annoys that every season starts topsy turvy before going back to something streamlined. I want the show to be about the young justice. I'm not trying to get JLU 2.0 despite how great JLU was.
! The team used to be a lot more careful about information. I remember how much it took to get Arsenal accepted despite having been a sidekick previously. Or how close to the vest they played Aqualad double role. But they just roll the red carpet for Terra.
! For people used to getting mind control and planting spies they got really sloppy.
! Cool to see the adults including the original team working together instead of being at each other's throats. I like the reach ship plan.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
! Luthor and Bats playing a game of image with the outsiders as pawn is a good one.
! Also leave Jay and his wife alone. Can't a hero just be happily retired. -
Just be aware, this chapter has an after credits scene.

Ep 20
! So is the girl good at reading people or does she has a power that allwed her to see that Kaldur was lying? I also wonder what's up with not wanting to tell her name. Kid of some important mob boss? Like in intergang?
! Kaldur dad is from Sandiego. Might be a reference to that story where part of San Diego was experimented on and ended up with aqua powers or just a coiencidence.
! Kaldur is gay/bi now? Not a fan. His love of Tula was a thing he had to get past in season 1 and one of the big selling factor for him alligning with Manta in season 2. Seems like it came out of nowhere to align with new 52 Aqualad being gay.
! I was expecting Dick as Superboy best man due to how much they interact in this season. I'm not sure about who his best bud is now that I think about it. Roy and Aqualad are Besties. Dick and Wally are besties and he has a good rapport with Zatana. Blue Beattle is bestie with Impulse. Arsenal is a loner due to trauma. I think Superboy has about a decent friendship with everyone but his special connection was with Megan and she can't excatly be the bride and best man.Ep 21
! Mal obsession about changing his baby genetic creeped me out. I hope it was simply to forshadow pew pew girl doing it and I'm glad it was her not him doing it.
! Damn it I really hoped the scientist wasn't evil in any way. I hope it will make sense at least.
! I feel the rescue mission went really bad. Isn't openely rescuing Dick a bad idea since it proves all the groups are working together? It I feel it blows evryone's plausible deniabilty. I'm also not sure why Granny was fine with letting them leave at first. I feel like knowing she from Apokolips is something they would want on the down low.
! I was expecting Violet to die saving her sister or at least faint in such way it would alert Brionn to her situation. -
Episode 22 Woo boy!
! It's all out in the open now. I love these Everyone Finds Out episodes. Think its safe to say Dick got it bad because he's not a metahuman. Poor Jefferson. He was really yanked around by Bruce. Honestly, I don't think Team Bats was wrong except maybe manipulating Jefferson who clearly wanted no part of it from the beginning.
! Granny Goodness is turning out the be one of the best villains this season. Not sure how there's two of them at the end. Dr. Jace fooled me good! Thought she was evil, then being manipulated, but nope, she's a scum bucket. Halo being the key to the anti-life equation is an interesting way to introduce it into the show. Unfortunately, Halo may not survive the season because of that.
! Darkseid gets the key to the anti-life equation and the Light is still following right on his heels. Savage is no joke. And, nice bit of continuity with Superboy and MM arguing in their minds.
! Infinity Inc. Had to look them up (I heard on a podcast the YJ showrunners try never to make original characters since there's so many in the DC universe). Hope to see more of them. -
! I dunno, I'm with Barbara on this one. Specially after Gar reacted so well to being the dog and the ponny of the show. Like Bats is totally ok with keeping secrets from everybody, but convinced that no one can keep them from him, even with Tara and Jace right there ready to murder him.
! And this subterfuge beign the thing that definitelly puts Tara into Slade's hands is cruel. I was thinking again back to the double whamy of season one, but with Terra being close to Artemis and Brion, maybe Fred and Violet, it seems unlikelly.
! And lol at me not noticing that Megan and Connor being psychic fighting. It went over my head.
! Scumbucket is a gentle way of putting it. I do wonder if she was keeping Dick in a bad condition to make noise and allow herself to escape.
! Vandal actually knowing what the Anti Life is, and having an actual physical reaction is interesting. I do wonder if the Light is going to be an active participant on defeating Darkseid. Luthor, Bee and Slade having more earthly ambitions, UltraH feeling slighted and Klarion who would be probably offended if tried to be controlled would follow a plan with a chance of victory. Like not in a "huh, I'm taking advantage of my enemies fighting in this precarious situation to get ahead" but in a "Bruce Wayne, I come to bargain, we need to stop Darkseid now", specially with 4 episodes left to go. -
! holy shit!!!!
! That bitch crazy!!!!! -
! I did not see that coming! And now I'm really interested how they get out.
! Weird that martians count as metas. Or does it work on everyone but humans just have the most fragile DNA in the universe?I would find it really interesting if in the finale
! The light saved the situation. As a real paralel to s1 as opposed to it just being the new kids which feels repetitive.
! I doubt it will happen since they still have to send Savage message. -
! I feel like the Light is in denial, like "we lost the UN, the chokehold on the league, the mole, Luthor's stance in the world at large, the good publicity on the infinites whatevers, are on thin ice with Darkseid, who had the equation for a chapter so is horny+angry, the league is super best friends again, but we did win this ex-soviet state that decided to become a kingdom!"
! I'm angry that they did this artificial clifhanger of "the universe is doomed and we have 3 chapters to solve it!", and be done with it in one chapter.
! The cordelia-wesley prediction was at the very least half right.
! The Wally part didn't hit me as hard as it should, as I actually believed Zatana when she said it wasn't real. I did get stressed out by Artemis slow reaction but.. apropiate.
! Brion you entitled twat. And then you accept Jace. Ugh.
! Black Ligthing, Cyborg and Connor just raining on Luthor's parade, after the Outsiders just messing him up (in the public sphere) and Slade being a dud (probably in by his recomendation) was just peachy.
! I was annoyed that it wasn't a grand finale, but it was a set of three good episodes, with nice moments everyhwere.
! By the way, that L at the end wasn't for Light, Lex, Luthor or League. It is L for Legion. -
It was kinda like having two finales.
! One wrapping up Granny Goodness and the other with the heroes. Surprising but I like it. Glad Cyborg has officially mellowed out. And, yes, yes, yes! No Artemis banging her sister's baby daddy! Best part of the finale.
! Superboy coming out into the open was well done. Especially since I forgot he was keeping a low profile. Want to see where that goes. Glad Halo didn't die. I'm still worried the only way to stop Darkseid permanently is for her to sacrifice herself. Spoiled myself looking up Infinity Inc. in the comics. I knew Lex was behind it. The Tara stuff was well done. I'm also glad Geoforce was being manipulated, takes a little of the sting out. Although I do agree he had every right killing the Baron. The guy murdered that countries' rulers and tried to take it over. If he wasn't being manipulated, Geoforce could've got his brother back on the throne and had him pardon him.
! Granny's gonna be a tough act to follow. I hope Darkseid's next goon lives up to the challenge.
! I wasn't sure if this season would have a satisfactory end but I really like it. The Outsiders Twitter thing bug the crap out of me (and the Outsiders in general, I want more The Team and Batman Inc.) but other than that it was a good season.!

! By the way, that L at the end wasn't for Light, Lex, Luthor or League. It is L for Legion.! Yeah, but I guess The Light don't care because they're trying to do Marvel's Civil War registration thing. Btw, it was laid on thick but I loved Lex's Trumpisms. It's crazy how real life is almost as insane as fantasy.
! I was totally fooled by the Artemis/Wally thing. I just wasn't too invested because I never really cared much about the couple. Speaking of couples, I guess we're time skipping Conner and Miss M's wedding. No doubt season 4 will start another several years in their time.
! Brion forgiving Dr. Jace and not Tara was messed up. That country is screwed.
! That Legion of Superheroes ring at the end threw me for a loop. Maybe Darkseid is out next season and a Legion villain is season 4's big bad. -
2 episodes of season 4 just came out!!!
-
Well that dropped completely out of nowhere nowhere. There was ZERO warning or advance tease or advertising that this was coming.
If I didn't literally know people working on the show I'd have no idea.
-
Christ, Garfield was annoying in these episodes.
I probably should have re-watched the first three seasons because wow do I not remember half the details about this series.
-
The trailer drop from Fandome gives me hope for the season, but those were a really weak pair of episodes to start the season with.
LOVE the new opening though. I love the focus on the original 7 of the team. Hopefully that's what they keep the focus on this season. Especially with Rocket only having joined them at the end of the first season, then getting nothing to do the next two seasons.
And based on the trailer, looks like they're really taking advantage of being on HBOMax now, violence wise.
-
Who is this dude who is info-dumping about being married now? Giving some context as to who is who would really help. I realize you're trying to not talk down to the audience or whatever but when weve got multiple years between seasons, it wouldn't kill you to have some dialogue or on screen text to get us up to speed on who is who. I'm not asking for MHA levels of "every episode we're gonna tell you who they are and what their powers are" but SOME context would be appreciated.
Gar was also getting irritating but since Connor at least brought it up it feels more like a deliberate plot point rather than OOC.
Genuinely surprised they didn't drag out J'onn's fate for longer than they did.
-
Who is this dude who is info-dumping about being married now?
Lucas "Snapper" Carr. More context or reminders would not have helped, he's entirely forgettable background D list character. He's the sort of character only hardcore comic fans or huge Justice League fans would remember or be able to name. It's actually a really strange choice to feature him of all people so front and center two minutes in.
He's basically an ordinary civilian with no powers who helped out the League a few times as mission coordinator.
He was also a teacher at the school. He had a beard before.
-
Coincidentally, I recently read some of the old Justice League issues where Snapper Carr first appears, so I guess it's convenient timing that I was able to recognize him thanks to that.
But yeah, weird for them to just throw him in like that. I don't recall him being in any of the previous seasons.
-
But yeah, weird for them to just throw him in like that. I don't recall him being in any of the previous seasons.
He was in like a dozen episodes through all three seasons. Just as a super minor background character with very little dialogue.
Greg Weisman likes his casts of thousands and the easter eggs, so its zero surprise he's using the character… it's just really weird to have him so prominent so early in a season for no obvious reason, except maybe as contrast with a "this wedding went well!" to compare with the obvious impending pitfalls of the Superboy/MM stuff.
A token "See, we CAN have a happy stable relationship! Just not with any main characters."
-
Nice first 2 episodes. I enjoy Conner personality and growth quite a bit and it seems this season we gonna be following the crew we already know instead of new people which I much prefer. And I dont mind spending some time of mars and see what their culture is like up close.
Gar was a pain in the ass and I hope he can be a lesser presence once we back to earth. Or he stops being annoying quick regardless of the reason why he is like that.
Random nitpick are M'gann asking Superman for Superboy hand since he's an older brother not a father and even that took a lot of time. And that M'gann sister is now using that evil twin form she made for our crew even when at work and they are away .
-
Did anyone else feel like season 3 wasted way too much time on Brion and Halo? Like, way, WAY too much time?
-
Season 3 was messy and I didnt enjoy it much but I enjoyed Brion's story. I was fine with Violet. Nothing crazy but besides how op her powers were I didnt mind following her.

Did anyone else feel like season 3 wasted way too much time on Brion and Halo? Like, way, WAY too much time?
Nah. I liked that it focused on basically new characters with new things to do that I haven't seen rehashed in the comics a thousand times before.
I've seen Nightwing and Superboy's and Blue Beetle's arcs multiple times. It was nice getting something fresh.
Fred Bug was the best though.

That's Bugg with 2 G's! LOL. I was just disappointed we didn't get a broader look at some of the new characters. Those 3 newbies with Robin in one of the early episodes got almost nothing, so I would just have rather sacrificed a bit of Brion and Halo's time for that type of thing is all.

Wow, I didn't think anyone would catch the setup I did. I figured that was way too subtle.
I am pleased to see the comedy payoff actually happen.

And based on the trailer, looks like they're really taking advantage of being on HBOMax now, violence wise.
Good thing it isn't on Amazon then. If anyone watched (read) Invincible, lol.

He said it so much, it was just irresistible.

Loving the focus on Superboy, MM, and Beast Boy. The way the show balances character drama building while building up the main plot is great. And thank goodness they're giving us more dialogue during the credits instead of Wolf sleeping or something.

Episode 4 is out and…whoo boy.
