ESPECIALLY the Enies Lobby thing which I will defend to the last because of the faith he had in his crew.
Not sure how you can defend his actions. Sanji served tea to Kalifa, and it was not in a way to: "get the key through his charms". It was his typically flirtatious schtick. People can say it is a joke, but I do not think Robin's life is a joke.
If we were to draw a parallel to when Usop…I mean Sogeking cuffed himself to Zoro. A moment for laughs, but Sogeking became a sword. Translation differences aside, I think Zoro made it very clear. "Even if you die, win" To me it seemed Sanji just gave up and lost.
About Big Mom: Even though I suggested that maybe Kaido manipulates Mom, and then her children help the alliance. Thinking about it more...can someone really manipulate Linlin? Right now, I find that the effects of the amnesia will be that Linlin will act like she did as a child in Elbaf. She will be chaos, for both sides. And if that is the case, then her children do not need to support neither Kaido nor Luffy. They will be a third army with their own interests. Probably the annihilation of the Beast Pirates and the Straw Hats.
I honestly hope they do. They should.
If they do, it doesn't detract from Sanji's actions here. He might not have been the most graceful about it, but he did what he could at the moment and that's what matters for the moment.
I talked about the suit, but really. The critic I was making was more about him showing his face. I am not doubting that the suit will hide his identity. I guess the best way I can put it, is if Clark Kent transformed in the middle of the office, instead of the phone booth. The motivations, his principles can be whatever they may be, it is about hiding your identity better. That is all. It is a minor critic, but one that brings me out of the immersion. Or at least, something that I would like it if it were used to unveil the plan.
Although, it is a fine line, because unlike a lot of the fans, I do not see Sanji taking "Ls" because of Vergo, or Mango or doors. The things I critic Sanji for are mostly his lecherous side, his irrational: I will not hit women, but I will invade their privacy mentality ( as shown by the "joke" when he first discovered the invisibility of his suit), and how easily it seems for him to give up as shown with him beating up Luffy in Whole Cake Island.
So Sanji being the one that exposes Kinemon's plan, would be something that I do not wish for him. Although, how things are going so far, it might be that ALL the Straw Hats will ruin the plan in one way or the other as stated by the latest chapter. Luffy's rampage on Kuri, Zoro's dealing as a ronin, Sanji protecting people from Page One and Robin being discovered by the ninjas are occurrences that have or will catch Orochi's eyes.
So i guess the next question is: how important is it that the plan is discovered or not?
I understand One Piece, so I know that if plans need to be broken, they will, it just seemed that if the plan was exposed, they would need 5000 troops to handle an all out war. Never liked the idea of the Grand Fleet making an appearance, it just seems too soon for them to show up. Have they really made a name for themselves since Dressrosa as the narrator foreshadowed?
Having said all that, count me in for the Fire Festival to be a trap, and them having to have an all out war, without the 5000 troops. Insert Big Mom and her crew as a third party with their own agenda and we have a Fiesta.
Not to mention that CP0 are sure to be present during the Fire Festival, or at least their response to Orochi's demands. Will they cave in, will they betray Orochi, what will they do?
