I'm glad geets is a stubby forehead boy again
hope there's some shots of him and bulma standing even and not him being taller for no reason

Loving that art style. I said it before, but it really brings out the Saiyan saga feeling, which IMO was when DBZ looked the absolute best.
Nagamine probably wanted Shintani to go for a Saiyan arc feel since the focus of the movie would be on the Saiyans and Freeza. It's pretty remarkable that he was able to channel both that and Toriyama's modern style into really easy to follow designs. I can't wait to see more shots.
They just announced Dragon Ball Heroes anime to start by July.

If by just you mean 2 days ago, then yes.
It’s a “promotional” series and looks to be something they’ll be “distributing” without mentioning television (i.e., probably streaming from the official SDBH site). There’s a special screening of the first episode at AEON LakeTown in Koshigaya, Saitama, on July 1, but that’s the same day the first episode is supposed to come out anyway.
Ajay the animation guru on YouTube speculates that this is the job they’re sticking Tadayoshi Yamamuro with now that he doesn’t have a major production role in the Super movie.

I agree with Ajay, if only because Bandai has had Yamamuro draw so much promo art for their half of the franchise that changing things for the sort of ultimate culmination of their Xeno/Heroes veins makes sense.

It's promotional art for the web-comic Seiten Kango, Shin'yuu to ("After My Gender-Bending Buddy and I…" is the translation I see most often) by Eroe. Their Twitter can be found here. Their Pixiv profile is here. Seiten Kango, Shin'yuu to is a 2,000 page web comic about roommates Igarashi Kyou (orange hair) and Hasumi Souji (purple hair) that consists of four parts. The original part was the 500-page route that told the story of Kyou, a delinquent at an all-boys school who often gets into fights, turns into a girl. Kyou soon finds himself learning to deal with the troubles of being a girl, like menstruation, bras and panties. Meanwhile, Souji has his fun with Kyou's new body before finally developing genuine romantic feelings for Kyou. It's a harrowing story of friendship, becoming a girl and finding love. There's lot's a fucking, but also a plot! There's also a sequel that takes place before the epilogue chapter of the first segment, an alternate route where Souji is the one who turns into a girl and a spin-off that focuses on a certain side character turning into a girl. Fans have only translated the main party so far but it's a tremendously good read, I suggest anyone who likes gender-bender and romance give it a read.
Seinten Kango, Shin'yuu to on Imgur.
Eroe is still drawing original art to promote the comic, which you can find on their Twitter and Pixiv. You can buy it on DLSite, too.
It's such a good comic. Kyou is so cute no matter the situation but I always enjoy her smile!

Lewds, nature pictures and progressive left-wing politics!

that…. was a complete explanation .... I'm still shocked
but yeah thanks for the response
Vegito and Zamasu are playable now!
also check out this player's sick use of Captain Ginyu and Freeza:
plus this lady is making waves with a killer Gotenks, watch her irreverent tutorial:
Zamasu is so much fun. He sits nicely in my 21 and Cell team. Also created a Zamasu, Piccolo, Cell team I've been calling my godly green machine lol.
What's up with those coats?
What's up with those coats?
The movie is going to be set in a winter-setting.
The woman, Cheely, is seemingly the first female Freeza soldier. I can't wait to see how she interacts with Freeza.
Ugh. Frieza again?
hooray, more Freeza…...../s
not that I wouldn't expect him to still be around after the tournament of power, but....
Frieza has to be there so he can lose to another Saiyan. He's getting cosmic karma retribution lol.
Goku's jacket is looking swanky and stylin'.
I've accepted that Freeza has ascended from "and guest starting" to just "and starring" in the opening credits
^Exactly. What a good time to be alive.

For you and me both, brother
Freeza's design is the first one that looks odd to me. The eyes/face are/is wierd.
Still much better than wierd stiffness and glossiness. (though tbf, I think Freeza has suffered the least in terms of new designs, I'm mostly bugged by the human characters' glossy skin.)
I dunno. Does it seem like Freiza has an hour glass figure?
I think Frieza looks mad cool
Is that Frieza stuff for the new movie or something?
Is that Frieza stuff for the new movie or something?
Yes. It is the character design by the new character design, Shintani Naohiro. He will be in the new movie and be accompanied by three new subordinates.
How cute, Freeza's new subordinates uses blasters. Are they even on the same level as Appule?
What's up with those coats?
What? Can't Saiyans want to look fabulous without someone questioning them?

Reminder that sorbet killed Goku with a teeny tiny blaster in res F
This video is a couple months old but I only just saw it so….
This is all I want to do in this game. Lose the first two matches and them stomp with Yamcha. Wearing pink.
Just like my good ol' boy Dan back when I played SFA.
I love close matches like that.
But man…Rage quitters. They really need a heavier penalty.
Wait. So Dragonball Heroes gives us this cool alternate badass black and red long coat Goku outfit, complete with him having the extending pole he hasn't used in decades…
and then three seconds in they literally throw it away to give us GT's Super 4? WHYYYYY?
People have a weird fixation on SSJ4. Closet furies? Goku being the hero for hairy people everywhere?
It just looks much cooler (not to mention unique) than the palette swap transformations. Even someone who hates GT like me has to admit it. Not to mention it is a call back to the monkey days of the saiyan.
Yah, but this fixation predates super.
I hate GT and in fact I stopped watching it even before SSJ4 aired.
But even so SSJ4 is the only interesting transformation in Dragon Ball since Goku went SSJ against Freezer decades ago

This is pretty much how I felt about it too.
I don't like 4, either. It feels overdesigned.
Yeah, it's more of a "transformation" and I actually like the concept behind it, but it just really awkward-looking to me as a whole. The eyeshadow and fur ruin it. Not a big fan of the hair, either. That's the case for SSJ3, too, for me.
I'm not actually sure what I'd want to make a transformation more unique design-wise, now that I think about it. I like my DB transformations to be simple, but it would be nice if they had more going for them than just different hair colour and eyes.
Like, the initial UI is my favorite transformation/technique, but it's just different eyes and a cool aura. Yet I find it really cool look-wise.
Goku never mastered his Oozaru form, so there's so much potential there, but SSJ4 just isn't a very good realization of it (imo). I wonder if the enemy in the movie trailer is inspired by that idea, having golden eyes and all that.
Also red-coat Goku looks really darn cool. Vegeta's Saiyan saga inspired armour is cool, too. For a promo thing Heroes was pretty nice.
SS4 is fucking beast and a whole lot more interesting and intriguing than the lazy hair colour swaps Toriyama farted out in Super.
I take recolor over edgy OC myself.
Because SSJ was a ink saver to begin with and I like what the colors do. They're basically all based on the chakra colors.
Super Saiyan 4 sucks because it frames the pecs and makes think about how Goku and Vegeta don't have nipples
I can usually ignore it but when you have fun cupping the muscle tits and not having a nipple in sight, my stomach turns
Not that again… It makes sense because of the ape form.
My problem is more that SSJ4 isn't a logical forward of the golden, SSJ line. If it had a different name (and you don't get it in the same way), I think it wouldn't disappoint, at least.
Whereas I've been so underwhelmed with Super's transformations since the Battle of Gods movie. Yes it's very "Toriyama", but it's one of those things where I felt the Saiyans didn't need ANOTHER transformation to begin with. But gotta sell those toys, i guess.
SS4 looks alright. What sells me is the throwback to what Saiyan's power was originally about and what they were known for -the primal ape stuff.
The repeated "close to death-experience" powers them up to a degree that makes them burst with energy, alright. But the ultimate form still dabs into what made them visually stand out from other races. It's a super logical and organic upgrade in my book, much more than the god stuff or whatever you have now.
Speaking of the stuff we have now, is there a reason why no one here talks about the Super Manga? I've noticed that certain events were discussed before, but apparently it's more about the super anime?
Oh, I do like the primal aspect of SSJ4, too. The execution and design are just off to me - it's in the end nothing more than another power-up despite seeming special at first. UI is that, too, but I feel like that has a very unique feel to it compared to all the other power-ups in DB because of the emphasis on movement. If the story could somehow integrate the primal part of the Saiyans into it again, I think that would be great.
As for the manga, I guess nobody really cares here? Speaking for myself, I just don't like it. It showed promise with the first few ToP chapters, but last few have been just taking away anything I like about Super.
Anything done with Goku is faar worse than what the anime does. All the interesting character work is dropped. It's just as plain as you can get.
Personally, I was attached to SS4 for a while simply from nostalgia.
When I was a kid, I watched Dragon Ball and Z religiously every day, when Toonami switched to Saturdays only and aired the "uncut" episodes, I recorded each one on tape!
The first time I heard about GT was on my 9th birthday when I got a VHS of the batch of episodes of GT where Goku turns SS4.
Was completely confused and out of context, but my god if my 9 year old self wasn't jumping up and down in excitement.
So the Super Anime is better than the Manga?
Interesting, I thought the Super Manga was already entertaining (on a fanservice level).
