@BobLoblaw:
What? Lol! That doesn't even make any sense. You brought Kinemon up. At least try to dispute my argument that he's only been a bridge to Wano.
I don't need to because I'm not seriously arguing for Kinemon to join the crew. The point is he has had EXACTLY the same amount of crew interaction, role and point and future arc importance as Carrot.
The ONLY significant difference is she has bunny boobs.
How many of them traveled with the SHs to take on an emperor while searching for both a poneglyph and a lost crewmate (while potentially losing a mentor and inheriting their will at the same time)?
How many of them traveled with the SH's to take on a corrupt fishman terrorizing a town to save a lost crewmate? Jonny and Yosaku, that's who.
How many of them traveled with the SH's to raid a government facility in order to save a lost crewmate? Paulie, that's who.
How many of them traveled with the SH's to help Luffy save his brother from execution? Buggy and Crocodile and Mr 3, that's who.
How many were there when they found the poneglyphs in Alabasta and Skypeia and a note from Gold Roger? Vivi and Wiper, that's who. (Also, Robin, she's the only one that matters for the poneglyph quest. And even she's not going to get to scour the world to see all 30 of them, someone else running around finding them would certainly be a help, eh?)
(Also Kinemon was there when they got the Zou poneglyph and will be there in Wano when they take on another emporer. They're not actually beating Big Mom this arc, that's for later. Will Carrot be there in Elbaf when they actually take on BM rather than just run from her?
How many SHs use fire again?
Lots. All it means is someone using fire attacks doesn't get to count it as a "unique trait" for joining. Someone using electricity doesn't get to count it either. Nor grass, water, ice, ghost, kicking or sword attacks at this point.
No. It's that having crewmates with similar abilities isn't disqualifying.
They can have them and its not a discredit, but it's not a point in their favor for "uniqueness" and something only they bring to the table either.
It hasn't been stated that we've seen Chopper's awakened Zoan ability. Monster point is based on his rumble balls, not the awakening of his fruit. An awakened human fruit being Monster point would be weird as hell.
We saw awakened zoans in Impel Down. Crocodile called them as such. They had similar attributes to Chopper. Thus, his awakened form. If the technical term for it changes to something more official later or he gets a new better mode with a different name eventually, fine, but the point remains he still has a bigger stronger ultimate mode that he couldn't control initially that he can summon at any time.
I agree, but he's simply a tool for Nami at this point, just like her climatact (or Brook/Zoro's swords).
No way is Oda providing Nami with a rideable flying cloud on top of her staff and clone abilities and not letting her fly around like Sun Wukong. Maybe not next arc, but eventually.
True. I was simply making a point that she would be unique. Only Chopper and Jinbei would be the only other non-humans (Brook doesn't count) in the crew.
Franky's a cyborg and Brook is a skeleton. THey're both unique, even within the world of One Piece, no others like them.
None of them have had the same impact on the story as the minks. At this point, the minks even rank about the fishmen (minus the ancient weapon) in story importance from a non-human perspective.
I'd say skypeians hae about as much influence, and we certainly just got a ton of time with three eyed girl. And giants have been important to Usopp for hundreds of chapters as a growth thing, paid off repeatedly including at Water 7. And Fishmen have had two different major arcs dedicated to them.
Minks have been the most important in the last 100 chapters sure, but not overall.
