As for Berserk, what can I say, the depths and topics it tackles and what a way to execute. I wonder if there is any other manga that has a better psychological description of a character than Miura did with Guts. A textbook example of character development.

Knocked out Kaido is gonna get carried out on the shoulder of his own rebellious son, I can already tell. :ninja:

After some re-reading I noticed there are two types of advacned armament. First level is attacking enemy without making contact, which is what Hyogoro and Sentomaru displayed. Second level is destroying things from inside, which is what Scabbards and Luffy displayed to damage Kaido.

So maybe Luffy was only using second advacned armament all this time on the rooftop, and just happened to fully utilize first level of armament, at the same time as he learned the advanced type of Hashoshoku. That's my understanding of the whole haki confusion.

Nice post, but I think whoever wrote that is overlooking how Luffy was already damaging Kaido before this chapter, which should only be possible by bypassing the exterior.

Kanjuro would at least explain why the previous shadow disappeared though, since if it were a drawing, it would just disappear into a surface and remain unnoticed in a dark room. Bao Huang is seeing the whole thing, and would alert if someone left the room.

Now I cannot explain why the drawing would be tending their injuries, but Kanjuro having a change of heart (or something more complex) is not out of the realm of possibility.

Whether the shadowy figure left the room before sccabards woke up or turned back into drawing, we could very well see Bao Huang reporting in next chapter as nothing really happens in real time in comics. Another possibilities are that she just didn't bother to report in or she did and Oda didn't bother to draw a panel.

I'm more interested in Kawamtsu's reaction to it, it' seems only proper for it to be Toki for him to deny it that much.

Yesterday Greg posted on Twitter, basically saying that the chances for Kanjuro were much higher than he had previously thought.

"Ugh… I have a sneaking suspicion that Kanjuro's chances are actually somewhat better than what I first thought.I assumed that Oden's swords being different from his actual swords lowered Kanjuro's chances because he knows what they look like. However..."

This Oden not having Enma actually puts weight on theories other than Kanjuro's drawing, I think. The cases which this Oden wouldn't have Enma will be either because 1. He doesn't have access to it (which checks out all the other theories) or 2. Kanjuro knowing Enma is elsewhere, did not draw it. Having Enma actually supports Kanjuro theory since that is the only possible way this Oden can have Enma and it plays out: Sccabards would be able to determine he is a fake by noticing Enma, which would be Kanjuro's mistake. Whereas if Kanjuro being extra clever were to play a factor, Sccabards would have to fall for it after progressing the fact that Enma is not with him, and I honestly don't think they would go for that great a length. It just play out oddly: One of the Scabbards takes Oden at face value, another stops him saying Oden's dead and it's enemy's trap, and another Scabbard says he's real since he doesn't have Enma. And if this is just Oda being detail enough of the fact that Kanjuro wouldn't draw Enma, and were not to play a factor plot-wise, Kanjuro theory is back with the same credibility as other theories. .. And of course this is all on the basis that Devon or Onimaru or whoever can only transform into person and not what they're equipped with.
