Bonney is actually old, that old woman we saw is her true persona. Kuma is her son.
So, Doffy in his youth knew about Im-sama, right? Because he somehow happened to copy her/his pattern of power (subconciously?). A secret past known only to a close circle, all powerful, pulling puppet strings on official levels and doing slave business.
And who is the Corazon of IM's story? All points go to Joy Boy.
Doffy brought his fathers head to Mary Geois, this is known. This caused the Gorosei to freak out and they called on Im-sama to decide Doffys fate. Doflamingo overheard the conversation through his DF somehow thus he discovered the existance of Im.

That would explain why we saw a glimpse of the guards of Mary Geois chasing him and claiming he needed to die in a flashback
(sorry forgot what chapter it was, it was in a nightmare/dream Doffy had during the Law flashback where he wakes from it with a book on Fleance(?sp? Law's homeland) on the floor)
There is a pattern of crewmate addition not counting Luffy which many people already may have noticed. It's like this
1. Strength based melee fighter(Zoro, Chopper)
2. AoE ranged fighter(Nami, Robin)
3. One to one ranged fighter(Usopp, Franky)
4. Speed based melee fighter.(Sanji, Brook)
After Brook three are two spots left and one is filled by Jinbe who is a mixture of categories 1 and 2 that is both strength based melee and AoE.
So my take is that the last crewmate will be the mixture of categories 3 and 4, like he will be a speed based ranged 1 vs 1 fighter without AoE.
So, a ninja or a non logia df users fits. Also note that it can be easy to spot the last crewmate since ranged weapons without AoE are limited in number in the One Piece world and since slingshot and guns are already covered by Usopp and Franky, what's left are Bow and Arrows, Shigan, Boomerang, Detachable spears, Throwing axes, Blowdarts and DF related projectiles.
Shanks knows about the power of the Gorosei to erase someone.
So he came to tell them to spare Luffy, that he will be the one to stop him.

So if shanks evil, will luffy have to take out his other arm :ninja:
@Monkey:
I'm willing to bet there is some elaborate punishment/consequence for sitting in the throne, and the only difference between Stelly and others is Stelly doesn't know shit about shit yet. This is the first time he's seeing and hearing about any of these things.
And I'm willing to bet one of two things could happen:
1. Option: Stelly might sneak away from the conference room ("what a boring conversation…!") and witnesses the forbidden in the throne room (seeing Imu sitting on it, while the gorousei kneeling to him/her) and goofily gets himself (and maybe even his kingdom) into trouble.
2. Option: Since Myosgard wants to protect the princess(es?) and Imu wants one of them (to be killed/erased), Myosgard could get kicked outta the CDs. Though I'm not sure if Stelly can just replace Myosgard as a CD. It'd really help his goals, if there was a CD who looked as shitty as he does (pretty likely). Then he just have to get a Celestial ID-badge.

I totally agree with that. If Roger knew enough (which I assume), he could have told Shanks about the power of the Gorousei.

Probably belongs more in the 'next crewmate thread' but I divvied it up into Brawlers (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Jimbei), tactical fighters (Brook, Nami, Robin, Usopp) and those that go in between (Franky and Chopper). Ergo I figure the next nakama, if there is one, should definitely fit into that third one since it's less occupied.
Saying that Jim "Let's name the plan" Be isn't an in-between fighter.
Eh, I haven't seen enough to determine whether BB would sacrifice his friends, though. At least he has the ability to MAKE friends, or at least followers. I don't see Stelly with that kind of skill.
I think it's very likely that Oda will go that route. I think he will keep it very simple and Black-and-White here: Luffy is our protagonist and his friends are everything to him. It's (according to the author himself) "one of the central theme of the manga" and anyone can spot this immediately. So Blackbeard, the "Dark Mirror" of our Hero will probably sacrifice/turn against his crewmates after they're no longer useful to him.
Oda really hasn't been very subtle about Blackbeard's Evilness. Infact, Blackbeard holds the "Darkness"-Fruit… Can Oda be even more obvious? It seems that he really isn't interested at all in giving Blackbeard's Darkness or his character flaws any form of subtlety.

Well it's even more fitting because Luffy's DF lets him attack from up-close or from a distance, which is the best way to approach someone with a DF that does what the Yami fruit does. We know BB killed Thatch for it, but did he ever look at the WB pirates as nakama or just a means to an end? I'm inclined to think it was more of a Captain Kuro style infiltration where he never intended to be the person he pretended to be, and had his own BB pirates already lined up and waiting, which means we still don't know exactly how he regards those as his friends. I haven't recalled seeing him punish anybody like, say, Burgess after losing the Mera Mera no Mi to Sabo, he took out his rage on the Revolutionaries if I recall correctly. I mean, granted, Burgess is still an asset to him so killing him or crippling him would be counterproductive and probably send the wrong message to his other subordinates; he's not a genius but he's not stupid either. So we've still yet to really comprehensively see him completely sever ties with a longstanding, loyal ally that he has shown to value emotionally. I do look forward to seeing a glimpse of that, the REAL darkness. Betraying those he never genuinely cared about in the first place, meh. But pulling a

He did state that the only reason he joined wbs crew was because he thought that was his best chance at getting the fruit. I don't recall where but at one point laffite didn't show up and they were willing to leave him behind because fate. And when peachbeard got thrashed and tried using bb as a name drop to strike fear into the revos hearts they flat out told him bb didn't care about his crew

I'm not talking about passive actions like that and leaving it up to fate, I'm talking about turning on them himself like he did with Whitebeard. I'd like to see that happen to one of the guys who really believes in him and has been with him long enough that BB has grown attached to them to the point where despite what he's doing, he'll admit to regretting having to do it but his ambitions are more important.
Speaking of which, anyone think BB knows about the Ope Ope no Mi's immortality thing? One would think if he did it would be a commodity he wouldn't want to pass up, especially with him on a DF hunt as it is. I mean, if you're going to be the Pirate King, wouldn't you want to be the PK forever?

I see Peachbeard being the same level as that Kya…what's her name, the vacuum-wielding girl in Doflomingo Pirates. She's an underling but not same level as officers like Baby 5, who wasn't on same level as Doffy's 'inner circle' of Diamante and Pica.
In other words Peachbeard was a low level underling, so low one has wonder how long it takes Blackbeard to remember his name "Who ....oh him.".
But the ..what 4?5 if you count Strong... we saw with BB from the beginning, like Burgess, they would be same level as Pica. While Blackbeard doesn't care about underlings, I remember how panicked he was when Ace aimed for Van Auger and Burgess back on Banaro (ch. 440) yelling at them not to butt in since they don't stand a chance against Ace.
Yes I know some will read that is he's worried about loosing useful lackeys so early, but I see it more like how Doffy acted with his officers esp the highest ups like Pica.
Samurai Ryuma, the man famous for "killing a Dragon" didn't defeat a winged beast. He killed a Celestial Dragon and managed to stalemate with the Admiral they sent to avenge the CD. That's why the WG ist so wary of the Samurais strengt.

I´ve read Wanted!, but I´m sure Oda could have changed his mind. It´s just a theory - a very viable one, tho - that Ryuman in One Piece is the same Ryuma as the one in Monsters.
Also I thought I posted this in the dumb predictions-Thread.
Jinbe's kimono style as well as his scar are both souvenirs from his first trip to the country of samurais.
the message from Marco would contain information about ace's tombstone and some small talks about ace in WBP. Also , possibly background information about Teach.
Big Mom and Miss Bakkin alliance?
OTama's devil fruit is based on Momotaro's story in which he gives the Kibidango to a dog, a monkey and a pheasant which join him on his mission to kill the Oni. Now, in chapter 912, it was shown that OTama already has Komacchiyo which is equivalent to the dog and she tamed Baboonmaru by giving it the Kibidango which is equivalent to the monkey. So, it is possible that she will aquire a third pet which will be the equivalent of the pheasant.
I have a small theory in regards to the creature the third pet will be based on.
Since, as almost everyone know that Komacchiyo, the dog is based on the Komainu (http://yokai.com/komainu/) and Baboonmaru, the monkey is based on the Hihi (http://yokai.com/hihi/), I speculate that the third pet, the pheasant will be based on the Basan (http://yokai.com/basan/), which are rare birds, pheasant-like in appearance and are known to live in Bamboo groves and only make their appearance at night.
The Basan looks like this
!
It would be a nice thematic contrast with Komainu, the holy guardian, Hihi the demonic troublemaker and Basan, the enigmatic rarity.
What do you say and when will she get the third pet?
Knowing BigMom is on her way to Wano, that might be the solution how the SHs are able to escape their first defeat.
With such an opponent like Kaidou, the alliance has first to encounter a defeat, but the wrath of BM might be an opportunity to come out alive in the chaos to start a second attempt.
A theory regarding Raftel's location.
Back in Zou we learned that you have to visit four locations to form an X on the map with Raftel in the center.
I thought it would be pretty funny if one of those island is Fishman island and an other is a sky island.
It would make the X vertical instead of horizontal :P
With that said, it would force Raftel to be on the intersection between this line and the sea. So the other two islands would be useless. But I thought the concept was interesting :p

You gave me an idea. What if one of the coordinates is on the moon? That could locate Raftel on a sky island, meaning you'd need to take a Knock-up stream at a particular location to get there. The only known message coming directly from Roger ('I have taken this to its destination') was left on Skypiea, after all. Also, I've always considered Raftel to be hidden; if it were a random island in the sea, someone could potentially find it by mistake. But how does one find the exact Knock-up stream, a phenomenon that occurs on rare occasions?
Questions arise, though:
There is probably more than just a secret location for the whereabouts of Raftel. Otherwise, someone would have stumbled on it by now I guess.
Like, you probably have to read a Jewish poem in front of an interstellar rock, with an ancient weapon during a red moon. There is probably a riddle to solve or something
Luffy will punch Hawkins in the face and fall victim to his voodoo powers, thereby lamping himself
Initial confusion will turn to cries of awesome once Hawkins explains his power
With a connection being established between Bonney and Kuma in chapter 908, it would make sense that Bonney would be crying in chapter 565 after discovering the army of Pacifista. I'm guessing this has been brought up before though…
I've been wondering who the person Bonney said she needed to find in chapter 581 could be. Here's exactly what she says according to cnet:
"It's all his fault, every last bit…!!! // I'll hunt him down at once!! Set sail for the New World!!!"
In the French edition, the term she uses is less 'violent', as she says "we need to find him! Set sail for the New World!". I don't know which translates better.
Anyway, what if that person Bonney is looking for is Vegapunk, the man responsible for Kuma's transformation? Despite not being able to make him conscious again (as she would probably want), he would explain to her what Kuma's plan was, which naturally would give her motive to carry his will.
The fact she'd even know about Vegapunk doing this implies that she has deep knowledge of the WG, and based on Sakazuki's attitude when he found her, it is totally possible.
This doesn't quite answer why she'd be at Reverie, though. Vegapunk should be at his lab (Smoker and Tashigi's destination), not at that summit. I would say however that her presence must involve Kuma in some way (ch. 908: "I can't believe I ran into him so soon…!!"). So here's a bold prediction: she plans on turning him into a baby to kidnap him and bring him to Vegapunk so he can fix him. But that won't be possible since he's a machine now, and she'll have to rely on the Revolutionaries, who won't accept to "leave Kuma-san to this fate".
Based on Snack, Katakuri and Cracker will be removed from sweet commanders because they got defeated by luffy, and there will be 2 new sweet commanders in Elbaf next to smoothie. But not necessarily new characters, for example one of them could be Perospero( since his Bounty was close to sweets).

He got removed from sweets. There was no need to also name a new one either because he jus got defeated( urouge wounded on sky island sugests that was recent) or because they still had 3. But with both katakuri and cracker removed from the sweets, they would have to bring new ones and not leave only smoothie.

Maybe the reason they picked O-Tama up is to have her try to lure out and tame the Basan that they have their eyes on. If Kaido is as into collecting beasts as his name would suggest, it makes perfect sense.
Is it okay to create a thread for a theory that I believe deserves its own thread? Do I need authorization?
i think we will see Oda’s version of 7 samurais, and it will probably include Kinemon, Kanjuro, Raizou, Okiku, Tengu-guy and Shutenmaru.

Surely of that list, Zoro will be the last one. Although technically Raizou is a ninja, not a samurai, right? Or am I mistaking names? Was he the one from Zou?

Another theory that I wanto to throw here is this one:
Vander Decken IX says that the first of his name went to the bottom of the sea to find the first Poseidon. Well, maybe he lived during the end of the Void Century? Maybe just after it.
I was just thinking that he could become a character in a flashback about the ancient times. Van D. Decken maybe.
In real life, Vander Decken and the Flying Dutchman are very important legends.
Just post it here and if it warrants an exclusive thread, it will get one.
At the moment I'm thinking about several theories for themes to take place in Wano. This is one of the major ones, and I think it's pretty cool, so if you guys think it deserves its own thread, we can do that.
~~ Wano: the arc about immigration ~~
As we should know, One Piece is manga with several political ramifications throughout many of its arcs. Taking this into account, one of the most current political issues in Japan is immigration, as Japan has always been a very closed country (even in the 20th and 21st centuries, although less than before) that carries a strong xenophobia against immigrants. However, Japan is currently suffering from a crises in the labor market because of its ageing population and the decrease of the working population (adults), which has led to an increase in the number of immigrants during the last decade to occupy spots in the workforce. So… does Oda have anything to say about it?
Well, here comes a sequence of interesting facts.
a) The Kouzuki clan has stated in chapter 819 their goal to "open the borders/gates of Wano country to the world", which can be interpreted in two different ways: (a) opening the country to diplomatic relations with the rest of the world and to develop a cultural and commercial transit (as happened since the 19th century in Japan) or (b) perhaps even an even greater openness that is in line to contemporary perspectives of cosmopolitanism, multiculturalism, globalization and… immigration.
b) Wano is a representation of Japan, obviously, and Japan is known as "The Land of the Rising Sun". Even the japanese flag itself is one big red sun. Interestingly, we know two races in the world of One Piece with themes related to the theme "Sun": (1) the fishmen, that dream of living on the surface under the light of the sun, and even were represented by a famous pirate crew called The Sun Pirates; and (2) the minks, that dream of the arrival of "Dawn of the World" and have now become aware that maybe they cannot depend on Zunisha forever (chapter 822).
c) Both the minks and the fishmen will participate in the Wano arc. The minks' involvement is obvious. Regarding the fishmen, it is extremely important to note that not only Jimbe (a Sun Pirate) will show up in Wano at some point, but also Big Mom herself promised to come to the island to kill Luffy. As we know, Big Mom is an important link to Fishmen Island, as she is the current "owner" of the territory.
d) Simultaneously to the events in Wano, the Reverie is also happening, where the Netuno royal family intends to make their request to be reallocated to an island on the surface. However, it is predictable that they will fail to achieve their goal in the Reverie, and so their cause will need to be solved in another way, most likely with the help of the Strawhats. What I want to point out is that the fishmen's agenda is active in the story RIGHT NOW, because of the Reverie, so it would not be inopportune if such a plot were brought to what is happening in Wano right now.
In conclusion, the theory is that one of the main themes of Wano will be the convergence of various plotlines that have been initiated since the beginning of the New World (the fishmen, the minks, and the Wano citzens), so one of the many emotional climaxes of the arc could be this great moment in which the minks and the fishmen would migrate to Wano (to Japan).
Well, they can't do worse for themselves the way real Japan's handled immigrants. shot

That is anice theory. I think that the island or place where the fishmen will end on living will definetely be a plot line, though I haven't seen anything pointing it to be Wano right now
