-know where the mecanism controlling the Gate of Justice is located
-access it while he's standing on an isolated bridge in the middle of the sea

Whatever he does, I hope it's more of a stealth mission than anything overly physical, him saving the day by kicking the bad guys asses all by himself wouldn't feel right at all.

He could simply deduce that in order for the escort ship to leave Enis Lobby through the Gates of Justice there would have to be away to open the Gates from the Bridge of Hesitation. So the mechanism could be inside one of the towers that that they are fighting on.

The whirling currents may not end up being the only downfall of the BC, Ussop's Kabuto could take out all of the ships sails and masts. Thus leaving the ships completely helpless to the currents.

Spandam is NOT A MARINE. He's a WORLD GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. The Marines may not give a flying fuck what happens to him, but the WORLD GOVERNMENT WILL BECAUSE HE KNOWS CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. The Gorosei themselves entrusted him with the recovery of the Pluton Blueprints. To give him a position of responsibility within the World Government is not to be taken lightly.

If the Strawhats took him hostage, the Marines would care less, but the World Government WOULD CARE.

Besides, Spandam knows how to shut the Gate of Justice. If Sanji beats the crap out of him, he could tell him, Gate would be shut, Whirpools appear, BC ships sink. Strawhats win.

CP9 is World Government. They're not Marines. All of CP9 is. They're a valuable asset to the Gorosei. If the marines took them out, The World Government would be pissed. Of course, most of them will be killed anyway for their failure to subdue the Strawhats, but Spandam is a Director. He obviously is SOMEWHAT competent, because in Franky's flashback, he was only a CP5 director. Yes, in Robin's flashback, Spandaine told them to give the position to his son if something happened to him, but the World Government is not stupid, nor is Kuzan.

Kuzan entrusting Spandam with the Golden Den-Den Mushi alone is enough to say that Spandam holds some position of power in the World Government. Plus, the fact that he "had connections" to obtain TWO DEVIL FRUITS. I don't think those are just sold at your level convienence store. Otherwise, EVERYONE would have a devil fruit power.

The only way Smoker or a Logia would join the Mugiwaras is if Oda can find a way to make him weaker than Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. The other option is for Oda to readjust his tiers, but I don't think that will happen any time soon.

Well, they could either close it as they all escape or just open it again, who knows, but yeah that could be a slight flaw. (Not that thick metal gates have stopped Luffy before ). Who knows what'll happen!

So I don't know if this has been brought up or not but, I'm looking at the title.

"A Ship Waiting for Wind" Now I don't know if it could be possible foreshadowing, but is the idea of a miraculous kamikaze style wind coming in and saving the Strawhats from an impossible to escape from situation crazy?

The Strawhats are surrounded, their only means of escape could be easily destroyed, they're outnumbered, and their captain just seemingly got knocked out. And even if they pulled out on the ship, it won't be super easy to get out with the entire Buster Call on their ass.

Maybe I'm looking a little too deeply into the title of the chapter, but something miraculous is necessary that's for sure.

We have yet seen a tornado tempo from the perfect climatact. When Nami used a tornado tempo from the old tact, she used it as an offensive weapon. I wonder how well the attack would work as a defensive weapon with the new tact? Two problems that I can see with a tornado tempo though: One it might take some times to do, and two there will be a bigger backlash from
the attack compared to doing the same attack on the old tact.

Come to think of it… Luffy needed help to get rid of the last two major opponents he faced (Robin, Pell and Robin again versus Crocodile, and Nami against Enel), so I expect the same thing to happen now.

Hard to say. Luffy only needed their help to get to the fights. All the actual battling was done by Luffy himself. Here, the fight's already been going on for quite a while now. If he receives help, it'll most likely (IMO) be in the form of someone (Usopp?) or something stalling Lucci long enough for Luffy to fully recover.

Anyways, I know Sanji is up to something BIG going by what happened in Arabasta. I'm still going withe the Boat Theft Auto idea, probably take a captain hostage and make him steer the boat (I know, the chances of that are slim to none.)

I agree, he's up to something big…the whole Mr.Prince (or wutever the name was called) idea was pretty dope and how he disappeared earlier this arc to get on the train to save Robin was also dope

Everyone has their own theories, but I have to say what I really hope happens is..

Oda loses his mind and in what no one could have possibly forseen plot twister, he has Sanji discover a time machine on one of the BC ships which he uses to go back to Volume 42 at which time he realizes he's a character in a manga.

He then uses his newfound power to relive (in Groundhog Day fashion) the Nami vs Kalifa fight over and over until the two of them have H-scene type of encounter instead, the manga One Piece turns into a mainstream H-Manga from this point on and we never find out what would have happened.

But on the plus side.. a really good H-Manga with the story already intact? Eh? Eh?

I'm pretty much out of theories. It seems like almost all predictions turn out to be false. All I know for certain is that Luffy will beat Lucci, and Franky will join the crew.

Beyond those two predictions, you can easily make yourself foolish trying to speculate.

well, you can't blame everyone for speculating…... since in the absents predictability from Oda, one can only speculate as to what will happen...... some might get it right, some might get it wrong, some might just won't accept they are wrong.....

Anyways, Luffy getting up and FINALLY sending Lucchi flying is somewhat a foregone conclusion......... ok, now I am talking crap..... since Oda might twist it all the way to Pluto(Pun intended), that we even stop calling it a planet.

but I am confident that Luffy will beat the crap out of Lucchi and send him flying.......

if not, then I have nothing else to say anymore.......

because in this chapter evereybody says to luffy that he can fight now and that they are safe and after that luffy smiled.

i think luffy waited all the time until everyone is safe.

the problem with your observation is that….... his nakama AREN'T safe...... there are 200 marine captains fighting with them...and some are freakishly strong............ he smiled, because he knows they are all alive at that moment, but after that? 200 captains attacked!.......

I Know that Lucci surely gets defeated by Luffy, but i still have doubts over wether Franky joins the SH crew or not..Cause so far Oda has never killed any characters (Even Pell Who saved Arabasta from the Bomb)..I still get a feeling that his Gang is alive and so are the Galley-La workers.

Than again that's just my 2 cents for today. :happy:

Now is the turn of Luffy, Zoro and Nico Robin for help one of their nakamas. I believe that Nico Robin will help Chopper, Zoro will help Usopp/Sogeking and Luffy will help Zoro.
