Ep 6 delivered, nuff said.^^

! It was a bad idea for place the scene with Danny taking off where they did. That scene should've been cut with the voice over and spare shots included as Danny is escaping from the battle. It would've improved the pacing, kept the tone consistent and highlighted Tyrion's argument better.
-
! The real question though is, did the Nk know the dragons would come somehow and waited without doing anything, or did he only have a limited ice spear supply, so he saved them up. Cause he could have easily just chugged them at the 7 Westerosi Samurai anytime during the twitter message to Dany and her quick ride to them.
-
! once again the whitewalkers inhuman strength is shown, and it is badass. no man can fling a spear that high and with enough force to penetrate dragon skin. even the scorpio barely injured drogon.
it's a shame that rhaegal had to die but it needed to be done i guess, to show how dangerous is the nightking. he alone did what the lannisters failed to do with just his bare hands, and whats even more crazy is that he wanted to kill the other dragons too! one dragon is not enough for him.
im interested about the revived rhaegal now, will he spit fire? because we know that fire is the enemy of the whitewalkers and i don't think a creature revived by them will be able to manipulate it.
also, i really want to see the nightking when he invades eastwatch while riding on rhaegal. -

-
! I assume that the blue-eye-dragon will destroy the wall. Next chapter will be about showcasing the kidnapped WhiteWalker to the world and getting a cliffhanger of the NightKing crossing the wall, or maybe there will be a battle against the Night's Watch.
-
!
Sure is hilarious as hell. Btw, not a new episode spoiler just a big jpeg regarding got in general.^^
-
Evidently being a servant of the Lord of Light comes with the perks of moving at the speed of light
-
What's the island on the top left again ?
-
Bear Island, Lady Mornont's dark and twisted abode.
To be fair, I think Night King was waiting for winter. And maybe a way to destroy/pass the wall.
-
! I was very disappointed with the character acting for the Night King. I wish they had given him some smug-ass facial expressions.
-
@Yuugi's:
! I was very disappointed with the character acting for the Night King. I wish they had given him some smug-ass facial expressions.
! I was curios when he talk later… I mean talk as a human lol
-
! his silence is far more frightening than whatever dialogue he could be given. characters with no clear goal and stoic demeanor are quite mystifying.
in his mind, humans probably doesn't deserve his words and he has nothing to say to them. they're just creatures that he despises and wants to rid from "his" world. -

! He started attacking them before the dragons even appeared, and started killing them off. So no.
! Plus I don't see why he wouldn't kill the man who killed off two White Walkers already. Why aim for the flying dragon instead of the one sitting closer to him and doing nothing? -
oh holy gods, I've just noticed that Clegane will meet Brienne of fucking Torth at King's Landing again ! Brienne is heading there because Sansa sent her, and Clegane is bringing the WhiteWalker.
The HYPE train is BACK !!!!!!!!!!
Also, Brienne is heading King's Landing with the Lannister sword… uh not safe Brienne, really not. Cersei might kill her.

-
! rip Viserion, presumably something set you apart from Rhaegal but no one really cares about either of you.
! Night King just got a bitching ride tho. -
Is that how the wall is coming down then.
-
I may be in the minority, but I never really care about the Wall-centered storylines, but even moreso for the White Walkers. In a story so based about characters and dialogue, antagonists that literally are just walking icicles doesn't do much for me.
-
Ooooohhh shhhhiiiiittt. I was literally on the edge of my seat for a good chunk of that episode.
Man. Why are all the 2nd to last episodes of each season so amazeballs?
-
Need an episode to set up for the next season or wrap up the season's plotlines, so they probably blow the rest of their budget otherwise on the second to last episode.
-

I used to be invested in the politics but at this point it does not matter. We spent the first 4 episodes repeating how Danny could instantly win if she wanted and the big reveal of episode 5 is that Danny is sure to win the war. As for John he doesn't want the throne and he doesn't need it. Plus important character are now immune to bad shit. So Danny should be queen already. Which means the only thing left with some decent suspense is how do you take care of the army of the dead and who dies in that war.
-
Well, now that the Night King summoned the Blue Eyed Wight Dragon it certainly will make things more interesting. Dragon battle in the sky with Jon riding a dragon vs the Nk riding his.:ninja:
Obviously it is very convinient that when the NK falls all the zombies stop working as we have seen multiple times in media, star wars, avengers etc, but it also makes sense since they run on his magic.^^
-
I don't remember how much was said on the show but I hope we get some more background on the Night King. Next year, I would hazard.
-
A while ago when listening to One Piece song sung by the characters, I thought to myself how could would it be for occidental series to do something like this.
And the other day I come accross Games of Thrones The Musical, omg I didn't know how much I wanted this. And I am surprised that I didn't learn about it earlier.
-
the preview looks nice and all, but looking for an alliance with Cercei, uughh… that's an awful idea.

Exactly, just wipe her from the face of the earth and then deal with the walkers, cause you know she is gonna backstab you the moment she gets a chance. And she doesn't give a damn that there are walkers and undead.
-
-Dick… I like that

I like to remember Tyrion's song after each significant death. Still going strong.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
So I'm not if I said so last week but the plan to chase a zombie with this limited party with little equipment and with this kind of weather was a really baf one. And it end up with the army of the dead gaining a dragon.
-
Why aim for the flying dragon instead of the one sitting closer to him and doing nothing?
because the one sitting and doing nothing is more likely to notice, block out the spear throw, then burn him to death than a distracted flying one far away .
seriously guys? why nitpick such minor things? -
People believing Jon and Daenerys have plot armor now….
-
Jon and Dany have had plot armor for a while now.
If coming back to life isn't plot armor, I don't know what is.
-
The mosh pit of the dead, the 2 meetings with the Night king, being actually killed. That is plot armor.
-
This episode pretty much yelled at our face "Daenerys is gonna die !!!!!! FIND A SUCCESSOR !!!!! "
and yeah uh I guess the other guy is Azor Ahai after all.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I think the hype is more on the Clegane brothers bowl than Brienne v Hound rematch.^^
yeah I don't really care about a rematch, just wanna see Clegane saying cunt again
The Cleganebowl would be nice too, but I don't see why they would fight. Maybe a my champion vs your champion thing ? just for the sake of it ? First Brienne vs the Mountain ? she loses, and and Sandor moves his ass and wins?
! also Sandor becomes Azor Ahai :ninja:

In a world with psychics, how can you trust prophecy? How can the "burn your child alive" religion the true one? How can both the red god and the old gods be real?
The prophecy was most likely sent by bran to try and get someone moving or the night king himself to fuck over the other side.
-

seriously guys? why nitpick such minor things? We nitpick, because they put themselves into that trap of how they staged the whole scene with the NK clearly aiming at a nonmoving dragon with the ENTIRE party on board. He could have taken them out easily, he even aimed at them at first. So it's on the creators to stage it better and not allow such complaints to be made in the first place.
-
And also could be solved, and made better, by viserion taking the bullet for the team.
-

drogon was very close to the night king, he could notice the spear coming at him, block it and retaliate with a juicy fire breath at the night king.
viserion however was close enough to be hit with a spear, yet far enough not to retaliate should the spear miss him. plus, he was distracted. -
The showrunners just wanted to show a dragon crashing on the ground for drama
In a world with psychics, how can you trust prophecy?
But aren't people coming back to life ???? I mean Jon and Beric
How can the "burn your child alive" religion the true one?
lol, why not ?
And I wasn't Stannis just not Azor Ahai ?How can both the red god and the old gods be real?
Why are the old gods real?
The prophecy was most likely sent by bran to try and get someone moving or the night king himself to fuck over the other side.
Why is it this much likely ?
-
More likely than a god who claims that everyone who doesn't follow him must burn, and yet selects a super special awesome human to lead them and kill the ice people.
The old gods aren't gods, its the will of the children of the forest living thorough the woods and animals. Just like Jon and Dondarion's will live through their own bodies. Or the ice king's will inhabits the wights.
-

So they came back to life because of the power of friendship or the D. (not dick, but the OnePiece thing–- not trying to confuse anyone) or something like that ?
I'm sorry my knowledge of the GoT-mythology is limited. -
The reason we were given for dondarion coming back is that the lord of light raised him thorough Thoros, 7 times. Each time less of himself remains.
What you are calling "the power of friendship" for some reason, is warging, something that we have already seen time and again on the series, what difference there is in warging a wolf, or a tree or your own dead body?
-
That's a very edgy review
also, "edgy-youtube-guy anticipating the bad comments on his video" is edgy youtube cliché guy
Might as well have argued "uh why didn't the WhiteWalkers just jumped across the water??? or just swam ? two wights tried to pull Tormund into the water, so I guess they were swimming…or what about throwing rocks ????? Clegane could do it, the Night King seems to have a very powerful arm, he could do better"

Is Jon a warg now ? And the difference is that Jon was dead maybe.
Anyway, didn't the lord of light brought Jon back to life then ?
-
I say no, Mel and Jon brought him back to life.
I say the lord of light was a powerful warg of the past who made random prophecies and taught some healing and fire manipulation, and passed it as magic, and some drugs that enhance warging and illusions and that is closer to magic, but still no miracles, and just went with it.
Just like the seven were founded by some hunger stricken priest that ate some psychedelic mushrooms, or the drowned god was founded by some dude who knew CPR.
-
Large image. The Night King is no joke.

Guy points out legit problems, you call him only edgy and ignore all that. Fanboying much?

I don't imagine it will end well for Littlefinger next episode. There's absolutely nothing he can do dethrone either Cersei or Daenerys in the foreseeable future, nor do I believe the rift between the Arya and Sansa is genuine - at least from Arya's perspective. Arya may believe what she's saying, but in the end she probably wants Littlefinger to slip up.
Next week's episode preview talk
! Look at Podrik walking next to Jon! Someone's gone up in the world.
! Daenerys wasn't show so I don't image she'll be there. She can survey the land from a distance with her dragons, whereas Tyrion can take of the talking and Jon take care of the spooking. -
I take the chance to remember that the series is beyond the book, and this is speculation:
There is a chance that arya was killed and skinned by the waif at her darkness battle, and she has just been completing arya's list but Little finger with his bravos connections has hired the faceless men for a hit.
Assuming she is arya, and is just being dense for plot sake, or for her own weird plans:
There is also that arya has covered most of her list, leaving:
Mel: she shouldn't be a target once she meets gendry again
The mountain: her most likely target to kill, as even in a cleganebowl, I can't see the hound managing to win.
Ilyn Payne: forgotten character, as the actor got cancer, she will probably get Pod Payne to tell her that he's already dead.
Cersei: thematically is Jaime who is going to kill her the next time she threatens to burn king's landing just like the mad king. -
I did really enjoy the ep, but I also agree with many of his points. The writing is clearly worse this season, and there's no way Danaerys could have made it in time. The one wight conveniently surviving made me laugh while watching the ep (and we've never seen evidence of wights dying if the walker who turned them gets killed). The entire Expendables plan was just inexcusably bad.
However, I can believe that the White Walkers waited long enough for reinforcements to arrive intentionally, to enlarge their army. It's also pretty obvious why the Night King would initially choose to attack one of the two smaller dragons.
