No need for the sarcastic laugh. I realize the odds are quite high, but there is a difference between speculation and official confirmation from the producerd.
Asshole.

It's confirmed Goku will get a new trans?
As of now all we know is that he's trying to 'break new ground'. It could be that he won't have this new form mastered in any way for this arc.
He'll combine Blue and Rosé to become Super Saiyan Wisteria
how did Goku invent new form? He definitely didn't have time to train during his scouting
I still think it's something like Ultimate Goku or mastering God Ki like the Gods Of Destruction who use it naturally and without any visible transformation or anything. It's his base form, but with Super Saiyan hair and a reddish/whitish aura.
The question is what might lead to it. Episode 40 had those moments when Champa called them all pawns and Goku and Hit didn't approve. Something the like of "we're just pawns" and Goku said in response "not for long". Could it go straight-up antagonistic between the gods and mortals in general for whatever reason?
For a more positive version, maybe for whatever reason the gods need Goku's help and maybe unlock his potential. Dunno. For some reason a "new" form doesn't seem right to me. Initially I thought it could be Kaioken, but that doesn't seem right, either, but at the same time could be. It's fun speculation material, at least.
! it just looks like Gear 2nd steam. Looks even less impressive than when I saw SSG form for the first time.
! And while it fits the story, it feels redundant to give Goku yet another power-up.
Maybe it's just as simple as the deal with Hit. Goku'll just figure out something new as he fights Jiren because Jiren's fighting style/techniques allow for it.
Like a training arc in tournament form because it still feels like to me that the tournament (or at least the battle royale) will lead into something bigger. The format feels strangely anti-climatic in a way, depends on execution I guess. Currently feels open-ended enough for many possibilities.

I laughed at Goku getting a Trans. As in transvestite. Someone's wound a little tight. Points at you

The new ending visuals are hilarious because they make the pride troopers look incredible evil while giving Freeza a heroic pose next to universe 7 team.
There was tons of re-used animation, then I found out Kitano was in charge of tonights episode.
Im sure u guys dont want a repeat of this.
The shot of Goku and Gohan flying into battle together at the end of the new ending was really great in a feelsie way.
Now excuse me while I go back to laughing at the shot of Frieza heroically chilling with the rest of the team.

your signature picture .. is that from a manga?
Frieza chilling is okay actually Piccolo used to be more evil to Goku , and now he becomes Pan's babysitter
Was that really an heroic pose? he was there with the rest of the team he is part of, the thunder with the pride troopers is just to make them look menacing, but yeah it kinda makes them look evil and they are superheroes in their universe.
! Guess based on the episode title an universe possibly 9 is getting eliminated next week, Vegeta and Goku are probably going to eliminate them all since they are focusing on them.
That was okay. At least it wasn't a staring contest and the sense of pacing is stilll energetic, but it was just clearing out a few fodder contestants and just scattered battle royale segments. Still the weakest episode since 89, together with 87.
I partially like it starting slow like that because rushing through would take away from the weight of it and we know from the next episode titles that we're going to get some character-specific fights soon, but this was just really uninspired compared to the sparring fights. I hope it's because they're conserving the best for the important stuff. In a marathon this episode probably would be just one passing by.
The contrast between Freeza and the Pride Troopers in the ending is unintentionally funny. Would be angering if we hadn't established "no redemption" for Freeza as clearly as possible in ep. 95. It does make me a tad wary, but it's just standard ending stuff. I do like the shot with Goku and Gohan at the end.

Oh no not the image breaker attack.
I just edited with other of Kitanos gems.
Although Jiren in Episode 97 was like.
He's just standing there. MENACINGLY!
Great episode. I hope they get full fights for most of the Z fighters.
Thank God Universe 10 isn't jobbing. Let's fuck*** go Murichim.
Universe 9 might be gone in the next episode, Goku and Vegeta are about to solo them.
I kinda feel bad for Gohan, he got paired with scrubs facing other Universes scrubs.
Well, he's right. Teamwork is the best the rest can do now. Imagine Roshi encounters Hit one on one. He'll be out in no time.
Damn I enjoyed every second this episode. If I ever wished for a slow pacing then it's within this tournament.
Vegeta punching the same guy 10 minutes later, lol.
Even though the episode was very cobbled together I still found it fun in a big, stupid way. The reused footage didn't bother me since at least they chose good-looking cuts to copy, given the state of this show's production and the fact that it's a never-ending weekly you have to expect there to be cost-cutting measures going in, and I prefer that over the glacial time-wasting slowdowns the anime franchise is notorious for.
Vegeta punching the same guy 10 minutes later, lol.
I imagine the whole time he was whaling on that guy he was thinking, "Man fuck teamwork, this is so much better!"
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, this shot of Frieza kept reminding me of something…
I assume the people who complain about reused footage don't watch much (yearlong running) anime besides Dragon Ball. Anyone who's seen Zoro vs. Pica shouldn't be surprised this is happening.
Toei? Cut every single corner on animation? Impossible!
Vegeta punching the same guy 10 minutes later, lol.
Technically its only 1 minute later according to the time left. :ninja:
We are in Namexplossion time.
Re-used animation isnt bad if they plan to improve an old fighting animation scene as seen here.
The aura Goku has is probably something that would counter Bergamos ability, he knows that his peak is Kaioken and barely any people in the ToP is Kaioken Goku level or more..
I wonder if the evil containment wave will be used in this fight. While I guess capsules are against the rules, I could see you using that thing to throw someone off the platform.
Meanwhile, this thing is turning out great so far! I haven't watched the start of Super because…the movies did it better but after all this new content I'm catching up.

I certainly hope Roshi uses it in that way, just to ring them out. I'm loving what they're doing with him, it'd really bring out the wise sage side of him. Love the classic pervert, but I love to see Roshi continuing to train and keep up like this, and think creatively.
Most of the Battle of Gods stuff can be skipped in the beginning. They change a few things in Resurrection F's adaptation, but they're relatively minor(and some bad changes too). Only episodes I'd truly recommend before the Universe 6 tournament is the slice-of-life stuff, and the episodes of Whis training Vegeta and Goku throughout the beginning of the Resurrection F arc.
Only thing after the Universe 6 tournament worth skipping is the Trunks/Goten/Monaka filler episodes. Those were really, really bad.
Did anyone find funny how Goku was begging for Toppo to fight him? Its like he got traumatized after Toppo put him in a chokehold during the Exhibition matches.

I still have that fear in the back of my mind that we'll get Goten and Trunks in hilarious hijinks against poachers in the middle of the Universal Survival arc. It doesn't seem likely at this point, but it still haunts the back of my mind.

That was my thought too. Only possible brightside to this would be giving Marron an actual personality, since they left her with the boys. But I'm afraid that it will be right in the middle at some point. Hopefully they'll resist that urge and wait until after the tournament. You can have 17 return to the island which looks like a battlefield and we'll get a flashback to what happened as a filler episode or two.
I really hope that they take the hint from the good reception of Gohan's recent development and throw some of that Goten's way. Trunk's has gotten to interact with his future self, snap him back into fighting shape motivating him to keep fighting against Black, got a baby sister to take care of, and had a nice moment with his father showing him how to treat a baby. Meanwhile Goten's been…well same as always.
Maybe this time they'll do something interesting with the younger cast. Last time we got the intervention of Vegeta, so this time at least it looks like they'll have to solve whatever problems occur on their own. Obviously hunters shouldn't stand a physical chance against Gotenks, but it could be a good opportunity to show some growth with them needing to stop the bad guys without harming the animals, causing them to fight more carefully, unlike their normal careless selves.
I doubt anything serious is going to come of those two to be honest, since we already know where they end up by the time of the Uub epilogue: two layabouts who don't seriously train to the point where Trunks complains about having to fight Buu and Goten gets laid out by his 4-year-old niece.

Imagine if Yamcha show up just because.
And I don't have any hope for Goten gaining his own identity until his design becomes more unique, which would only come from actually aging.
I feel for Toppo. Goku is that annoying asshole you just want to get punch in the face but sadly everytime you do something he keeps smiling and make you even more frustrated.
For some reason Freezer moving away to have some fun is my favorite moment of the episode.
I hate the Kienzan being used for nothing.

But aren't you worried about what those awful poachers will do to Marron(Krilin's daughter)? I'm sure the stress is secretly eating you inside.
Why in the fresh hell did they leave Marron with a pair of 10 year olds and not Bulma or Chichi or Videl OR ANY RESPONSIBLE ADULT

Just put Goku in a chokehold submission move and he will stop smiling.
I also didnt like that Kienza got nerfed, makankosappo not doing anything at least has the excuse of Piccolo not charging.
The moment Roshi goes for the female fighters he will be done for, though I could see him at least take out 1..

Those 10 year old can fuse, so they are technically a 20 year old adult.
That's how it works, right?
I wouldn't be surprise of Marron fusing with one of them.
Apparently things are about to get crazy.
! New spoilers say that in episode 99 a universe gets annihilated and as a response Vegeta targets Universe 6. I imagine it to be a wake-up call. That or it just means all the fighters lose and sit on the bench. It can be taken in different ways, but since Vegeta's taking action, a universe probably is going to be erased.
Such a great edit video.
These are apparently from the Animedia magazine and from the same source that provides some JUMP stuff, but as I'm seeing it third-hand, take these spoilers for the upcoming episodes with a grain of salt (of which I am sure there will be more than enough to go around) Ah okay, they're up on Herms' twitter now:
! - Universe 9 is indeed the first one to be eliminated
! Krillin is the first of Universe 7 to fall. At the hands of Universe 10 at that (they've already wildly surpassed my expectations)

- Kale's transformation is triggered by…Caulifla fangirling over Super Saiyan Blue and wanting Goku to teach it to her. Jiren rings her (Kale) out after the resulting rampage.
- And the Big One, are you all ready for this?

[hide]I blame you for Krillin's defeat because of your nonstop U10 mockery.[/hide]
! Krillin Owned Count: 9001.
! My favorite part of the spoilers is Goku taking the time to train an opponent on a way to get massively stronger in the middle of a tournament with their very existences on the line. I can already hear Vegeta yelling from across the stage "Goddammit Kakarrot!"
! Curious to see how they'll handle the reaction to U9 being erased. I hope Krillin does get a cool moment before he's knocked out. What's the point of even building him up to this point if he doesn't show off any of his growth at least little bit (also he has a episode named after him, but then again, that doesn't also mean anything considering it's Toei)? Really, execution is the key in all of this.
[hide]I expect U7 to all get eliminated early now and for Goku and Vegeta (and Freeza in this arc's Future Trunks role) to clean up 40+ fighters on their own.[/hide]

! the spoilers I read for Krillin getting eliminated is because he was disqualified, not knocked out. Which means Krillin actually uses a weapon or (accidentally) killed someone since those were the only way to be DQ'ed in the tournament.
