That video was great until Zygarde shoehorned its ugly head agian. Eff-off already! No one cares about you!
Pokemon Ultra S&M - Let's Minecraft Pikachu and Eevee Quest
-
-
This generation's electric rodent reminds me of a wombat. And they are marsupials.
-
Vikavolt and Drampa are my current most favorites hands down, one looks so amusingly dumb and the other looks really cool.
You're doing good Sun and Moon.
-
Since they were officially revealed, I can talk about it without tags, right?
Anyway, I am liking this. Surprisingly enough, Grubbin evolution line ended up being the only one I didn't like, but who knows, maybe Vikavolt will grow on me. The region rodent seems pretty cute (and it's very rare for me to like those), the fish seems ok but at least better than most fish-mon. I still don't know what to think of Tapu Koko.
But Drampa and Cutiefly? Instant love. Welcome to my team. -
Is Togedemaru a fucking hedgehog? I assume the word Toge means something like "spiked" since Togemon from Digimon was a giant Cactus.
-
I knew Grubbin would evolve into something really cool, but this went well beyond my expectations. For the first time ever the first bug-type you find in the region is going to enlist my final team.
-
I just love the fish. He's so Mettaton.
-

Did you forget about Miss Double Finger's Toge toge no Mi?
New pikaclone looks good! Cutiefly is adorable and I hope it evolves to something useful.
And I'll probably name my weird okama fish Ivankov.
-
Welp, Sonichu is canon now.
-

It will probably evolve into a Mos-cute-o :ninja:
-
! That square block is the evolution of the bug we've already seen.
! Dragon looks allright. I will name him Falcor.
! Overall thats just the right combination of weird, meh, expected, and hideous, with nothing super cool and exciting, for me to believe its legit.
! New electric rodent looks Marill-ey. Maybe the token electric mouse will finally have two forms.Anyway, with this reveal, I think its time I started trying to not pay attention to this thread or Serebii for the next five months. I dont think I have the willpower, but I'd like to be a little surprised this time around.
I'm thinking the same as well.
Well, besides taking a peek at the final starter lines close to release. That's a temptation I can't avoid.
-
Drampa: This one looks like he's puffing the magic dragon, if you know what I mean.
Togedemaru: Like King Cannon said, literally Sonichu. I don't think I can come up with a better comment than that.
Charjabug: It's hip to be square! Like a little bugloaf.
Vikavolt: Charjabug gained some extra polygons! He's a little railgun.
Cutiefly: This is the best most precious pokemon here and none of you will tell me otherwise.
Bruxish: This thing does not look edible. It's like somebody partially melted a colorful fish candle.
Tapu Koko: This looks like a parasite inside Scrafty molted its host and used its skin like a kite. -
Woo-hoo! Two more fairies to collect. And one, Cutiefly, is a new typing combination, so hopefully it has good stats and evolutionary line.
Edit: wow, just saw the video. That thing is actually super cute. The dragon still looks hilariously great to me. Interested in using it for now.
-
Did you forget about Miss Double Finger's Toge toge no Mi?
.To be fair, Togemon came first I think.
-
Oh yeah, I'm slow so I just realized that the dragon's name is literally Dragon Grandpa. I'm going to need a moment to reflect on this.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I like Bruxish's Dazzle ability. It would be nice to see it available on some other mons, might have some uses in high level play.
-
Drampa born from eggs will be pretty weird.

I guess the previous forms will be Childra and Drandult?
-
I guess the previous forms will be Childra and Drandult?
Childra encounters a wild Mr. Mime and is like "I need a Dradult"
-
Drampa born from eggs will be pretty weird.
It's a Pokémon version of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
-
That bus bug 's evolution is pretty cool
Dragon's nickname will he Momonosuke for sure -
I'm going with Falkor if I use it.
-
I'm going with Drunkle Stan
-
Mosquito and beetle line, nice!
The swarm will rise. To be crushed again, but it will rise never the less.
-
Cutiefly is most likely a beefly (look at this adorable thing. Just look at it!), though. The japanese name also fits (Aburii, beefly in japanese is tsuaribu).
So it will probably evolve into a different kind of fly (finally!) instead of a mosquito.
Part of me wants it to be strong enough in that form so it doesn't evolve and stay like that all the time. Exactly like my hopes with Flabébé 3 years ago. Didn't work out.
-
I know it probably won't, and that the leaked name is final… but I hope the new half-Steel Pika-clone's name gets changed or at least streamlined a little for the English version. "Togedemaru" is kind of a mouthful, especially for kids.
But other than that, I'm happy with this new batch of critters. I wonder if Tapukoko is a demi-legend or something I could more easily get for my team. Because after XY let me down with Dedenne, I'm itching for an Electric/Fairy Pokémon that's actually GOOD in battle.
-
you know, it took a bit, but I like this batch.
I hate pikaclones on principle, but at least they went with something a little different with a spiny mouse. I hope it gets an evolution for a change.Other than that, all pretty good.

How can a bug be actually cute? You've broken me!
When I first saw Cutiefly in the leaked images, I kind of thought it looked like a hummingbird with bug wings. I was like "Huh?".
-
Pretty much everyone believes Togedemaru is a hedgehog and…yeah, it certainly looks like one. But would've thought they'd go with a porcupine since it's a rodent.
I actually like Charjabug's design. At first I thought it looked like a bus, but maybe it's a battery? Yeah, the box structure is kinda ordinary, but it's a pupa, waddya want? In any case, Vikavolt is cool as hell.
Thought Cutiefly was a hummingbird at first, but it's still cute either way.
Bruxish looks like one One Piece's Okamas in fish form.
-
I told you Grubbin would get the Scolipede treatment! Hell, it might be even better than that, as it looks is going to have an excelent speed stat and above average attack stats. The fact upon evolving to Charjabug it gains the Electric type and more attack suggests is going to take quite some time before we evolve it to its final stage.
-
"Tapu" is a broadly Polynesian (including Hawaiian and Maori) concept that refers to something or someone so greatly sacred that it must not be touched or in some cases even spoken about. We get the word "taboo" from it.
"Koko" is Hawaiian for blood.
In other words, "Sacred Blood", which is metal as fuck.
-
Is this the first pokemon that is composed of 2 names instead of one outside of the Porygon Line and Mr.Mime?
-

Do you have any insight on the OG Japanese Kapu Kokeko? I was really thrown off by the translation there.

"Kapu" is the ancient Hawaiian code of conduct and law, meaning roughly "forbidden". The kind of laws that if you break one, you will be put to death. It's related to "Tapu" (and I think are derived from the same stem) and these days is written on signs as the Hawaiian equivalent to KEEP OUT.
The only things I'm seeing for "Kokeko" is some form of Japanese sweet.

You can also use kapu kinda like "dibs" colloquially
Kokekokko is the sound a rooster makes in Japanese too.
!
Hagishiri kinda reminds me of our state fish but maybe not… -
You're one ugly motherfucker.
-
It's definitely based on the Humuhumu fish. I might use one, just because it's so aggressively ugly.
-
A lot of tropical fish look ugly as fuck up close.
It reminds me of a colorful grouper personally but the reef triggerfish is the more likely inspiration.
-
-
I am so weirded out by Dunsparce now. I used to love it, but then the newest games came along and the Amie revealed that the blue hinge on its face isn''t a color mark leading into fangs… its its lower jaw with pointy things on it.
It's mouth being in the middle instead of underneath like I always thought just makes the design weird suddenly.
-
The fact Drampa's primary type is Normal seems to hint at a possible pre-evolution of sorts, if other species that became part Dragon in later stages of their respective evolution lines are anything to go by.
-

It might go the magikarp/feebas route and evolve into something aggressively awesome
-
I love every single one of these! The Falcor looking luck dragon, Drampa, looks like it could just be the new Druddigon or something, but I could easily see it as an evolution or getting even crazier with an evolution of its own. if it came from Dunsparce I'd be over the moon, too bad only its colors and somewhat resembling an old man carry over.
Love the fairies most!
-
For obtaining Drampa, you will need the Time Wizard Card.:ninja:
-
Now that I think about it, Drampa could have been a good evolution for Dragonair. At least fits better than Dragonite.
Btw, I don't name my pokémon, but I will be seriously tempted to name it after Don Quixote.
-
That ugly fish has an amazing ability.
-

Ummmm no it wouldn't have given how ugly and cartoony looking Drampa is in comparison to Dragonair.
-
Personally I find Dragonite to look way uglier and more cartoony looking than Drampa could ever hope to be.
That evolution line went from cute, to graceful, to dragon tales.
-
Drampa is chill as hell and would probably have decent weed while regaling you with this time he went to an Allman Brothers show and got into a fist fight with Dickey Betts.

THANK YOU. I don't think I could have used it if it really were a mosquito, no matter how good a 'mon it was.

That's what I'm hoping. I love Milotic, so I'd love to see what kind of kickass dragon that drag queen of a fish could turn into.
-
The fish just evolves into Ivankov
I'm calling it here
