Bonney is not Big Mom's daughter. If anything, she is older than Big Mom. She is probably the Gorosei's aging slave that got loose.
On a more chapter-related note, where is Bobbins? His design is stellar and it saddens me that he hasn't showN up yet.
You realize the claims that Bonney is a daughter have more things going for it then whatever you just wrote. At least try substantiating what you say to counter something that has a lot of momentum on it's side. I'll repeat what someone already wrote:
Same lips as BM and Lola
Has a confectionery style ship (fits the sweet theme)
Is a glutton like BM
So what can you point out that alludes to her being a slave of the gorosei? Loool
At least you said one thing I agree with, Bobbin has a really cool design.

When Oda gave away the Supernova's ages he put a question mark by Bonny's age (supposedly 24) meaning she isn't really 24 years old, but older. It would be quite redundant to keep her real age a secret if she isn't exceptionally older than pretty much all the other characters due to her fruit and backstory, but in fact Big Mam's daughter.

Oh. You want me to substantiate what I'm saying
Just because Bonney shows (mild) aesthetic similarity to Big Mom, does not, in any way mean they are related; similar motifs are not indication of association. In fiction, aesthetic similarity pales in comparison to plot relations, which Bonney has yet to show with Big Mom. Why should I believe Bonney has a connection with Big Mom, when she already has established ties to other major entities?
You've got to dream bigger guys.
Maybe you are BOTH right.
You've got to dream bigger guys.
Maybe you are BOTH right.
Possibly. But even if Bonney has an association with Big Mom, I doubt she is her daughter.
Most have noticed the Snakeneck by now, but I haven't seen any comments on what exactly the Dwarf is talking to. New race?

you mean you don't see That. its there look closely.
the fact that it said ALL the races in the world, I bet we'll get to see races we haven't even heard of before!
Oh ho hoo.. I wouldn't put that pass him Forest Gump. Luffy and Doffy's dad would have been best friends. Lol
TRUE!!!!! forgot there are some exceptions
In terms of the whole Purin vs Pudding thing a good similar example would be Usopp Pirate's Ninjin/Carrot vs the mink Carrot. Ninjin is にんじん Ninjin while Carrot is キャロット_Kyarotto_. So Purin is like Ninjin in that her name is the Japanese pronunciation instead of the English pronunciation Pudingu. Another example is Weevil being Wiburu and not Zōmushi (Japanese word for Weevil)

in one piece, the older a character is, the stronger it gets. A pirate that old should be among the most powerful ones

That's what I call jumping to conclusions. Whitebeard, Rayliegh or Garp were certainly stronger in their prime. That's why it's called prime.
This chapter is so delicious.
the dark side of Disney revealed….......................
so first Luffy kiss Sanji sister, and now hes going to kidnap his bride too ?! LOL :ninja:
Nami's sister did it first.
I want picture! Please!
Didn't she give him air in arlong park? before stretching his head all the way up. (no puns intended).
Or maybe I don't remember it very well/anime?

Uh, well, that's one of the most convincing arguments I've ever came across.
Surely it means Kureha is one of the strongest characters, if not the strongest. She is the oldest known character outside of Giants.
Great Chapter! Luffy hasn't changed and Pudding is a sweetheart! But soon Big Mom will get those bombs from when Luffy accidentally put them with the gold way back during Fishman island..is about to happen meaning Big Mom will be PISSED. Looking forward to that lol

@Devil:
She has to be. The slime was alongisde her when she appeared: http://mangafox.me/manga/one_piece/v66/c651/11.html
Maybe the slime is like big mom's version of a den den mushi and she sees through it and that's how she knows Luffy has arrived. It'd make sense, explain a lot…and be more subtle than a den den mushi...thus it can hide in plain sight. Just a thought.

She could also be younger and want to eb seen as a grown-up

Actually, it's not like that at all. "Ninjin" is not the japanese pronunciation of "Carrot". "Kyarotto" is. "Ninjin" is the native japanese word. Translating プリン as "Purin" would be like translating キャロット as "Kyarotto" instead of "Carrot". "Purin" is simply the way that the japanese learned how to say "Pudding". It's still the english word, so it should be translated as the english word. Other examples of using "Purin" instead of "Pudding" would be saying "Bāsoromyū" instead of Bartholomew or "Rufi" instead of Luffy… and so on.
So Big Mom has the disney disney no mi, that's how she got the copyrights of so many islands just like disney bought Marvel and Lucas Film.
I didn't actually notice until I re-read the chapter that the ingredients for the wedding are being stolen with beatings(or murderings?), just another reason for Luffy to not let this wedding happen.

I like your analysis. I feel better calling her Pudding now.
Would not プディング Pudingu be the transliteration of the English word, while Purin is the native Japanese term?
I honestly don't care what name people use, but I doubt Purin would be the direct Japanese pronunciation of Pudding like Kyarotto would be for Carrot.

Purin kind of is how it's pronounced as, when hearing it from a native Japanese speaker (at least in anime kind seen prior) the r is pronounced in such a way it ends up sounding close.
When I originally brought it up, I was wondering if Oda was pulling a fast one on us with lookalikes (like with "Lola") with one (Sanji's fiance) being Purin while the one here was "Pudding" (the actual English word). That thought was looking since proven wrong, though.
I personally never was in doubt that "Pudding" was a legitimate translation of "Purin", since Jigglypuff is a favorite Pokemon of mine and its Japanese name is also Purin, so I know the pun.
Though it would have been interesting to see what the Viz staff would've done had my theory been on to something.
Ah, I see. Well until Oda spells her name out in English it'll forever be an opinion thing.
Not forever. We just need her to join the strawhats and get a bounty :ninja:
You guys think Jinbe's bounty went up after he resigned from being a shichi? What was it before? He did a lot of outrageous stuff during the MF war, I don't remember if we got an update on it. It should've gone up for sure.

When Hody revealed that Luffy had a 400 million bounty, Jinbe said that his bounty had gone up as well.

Yeah, we had some New Fishman mook saying Jinbe's bounty shot upwards 400 million after resigning and rebelling in Marineford. That was the big hint that Jinbe wasn't gonna join in Fishman Island. Oda wouldn't just say that his bounty was higher than Luffy for no reason. He didn't even bother to give him a specific amount. Just said enough for us to understand that it was higher and it wouldn't make sense for him to join back then. His bounty before he became a Warlord, by the way, was 250 million.
How does Big Mom know that Luffy is there? Pekoms reported he had hijacked the ship. Don't recall prisoners being stated.

There is a lot of possibilities that cannot be explained as in now. Like Tamago recognizing him as a traitor and making that info know, the slime can communicate with Big Mom or Capone somehow or she can see through Pudding's third eye.

Wow…nice list.
If anyone is still looking for a fishman there is one(Half?) in page 14 at the far left.

I go with you last sentence. She probably can see through the third eye but can have audio feed :ninja:
May explain why she choses to have it covered at times.
I'm starting to think Purin has a power where she can have clones, and the main one is the 3rd eye one. Kind of like how Naruto clones works, and it maybe linked to that slime. It just seems weird to me that she is on this Cacao island at this time and she's always hiding her eye. Maybe Big Mom has so many daughters because she counts all the Purin clones. I don't fully believe this theory yet, just throwing it out there if no one has mentioned it yet, a little "food" for thought.
On the name "Totland" I find the pronunciation of the kana to be closer to sounding like "Total Land" rather than pronouncing the "To" in "Tot" as "Tah" as one often will. "Total-land" makes since with the kanji as well. At any rate Totland is fine Romanization as long as you pronounce it correctly "Toteland or Toatland". <- My Japanese translation peeve of the day.
PS. Big Mom and her world is scary. I got shudders seeing her full page scene realizing at the same time, that she's at least as strong as Whitebeard.
Oh. You want me to substantiate what I'm saying
- She has an aging power and SBS confirms Bonney's age is unknown. The Gorosei seem to be unaging (22 years ago, during Robin's Flashback, they looked the same as they do now). The only other power that is known to alter aging is Law's Fruit. As such, there lack of aging can only be attributed to the Ope Ope powers or Bonney's.
- She has a beef with the World Government (remember when Akainu comes to retrieve her, she says something around the lines of "I will never forgive you people")
- Of the Yonkou, she seems to have a relationship with Whitebeard, not Big Mom. She went after Blackbeard to avenge Whitebeard, if you recall.
For a supposedly ancient individual she appears to be rather naive with some of her actions. Even if what Forestry said about age = power isn't true per se, you would think at her age she would have mellowed down and become somewhat wiser. Don't know how old you think she is but it seems like the New World is just as New to her as it is to other worst generation. A lot of people owe their allegiance to Whitebeard and feel indebted to him, he has liberated a lot of countries/islands and claimed them as his territories. Her affection for him could be tied to that.
Point being, other than when she stopped Zoro from slicing that celestial dragon, she hasn't been portrayed to be very wise. I'm not sure I believe fully that she is a daughter but like I said it has more weight to it then "slave of the gorosei" just think about it if her connection with the world government goes that far back she probably knows all their secrets and her journey out in the seas seems rather futile.
When you have an ageing ability it's easy to make a joke about the ability user's age, which is what I think that SBS thing was, a joke. Don't hold your breath and expect Bonney to pull a Red Woman on us.

yeah, you know, being positive require a greater effort
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
talking bout pudding, when she was first introduced, in chapter 651, she didn't seem comfortable at all being in presence of big mama and bobbin.
in this chapter she seems so lovely and essentially saved luffy's ass. oda basically separated her from the context in each of her two showing.
we know when oda does this (last time was rebecca giving food to luffy but did the same several times before) it's almost certain luffy will take care of her possible problems and that she will eventually become a friend of him. how that will unfold with the story is yet unknown. savior of the arc with sanji like vivi and mr.prince in alabasta? crybaby like rebecca? nakama material? future wife?

I wasn't getting what you meant at all because to me, the pronunciation just came naturally as "Tót-land", but after you wrote "Toteland" and "Toatland" it kind of made sense. But I never even imagined there would be some kind of difficulty in saying it

everything is a plot device when you are talking about, well,a plot
if we have to count all the coincidences and strange meetings the strawhat have made throughout their journey we would be a whole month discussing

well she lives there probably

Can you say which SBS said that Bonney's age is unknown? According to Volume 68 SBS; before the timeskip her age is 22 which is now 24
@joekido:

Oda said in that same SBS that her age is just an estimation(because of her ability).
Considering the comic strip of germa66 is old, brook knows it, vito was likely a kid inspired by it, and that Sanjis sister is the oldest but is young, then the original germa66 that the comic strip is based on, must be with previous generations.
Like Sanjis father could be one of the original brothers, instead of the leader. But are the the rest dead and only Sanjis pops is alive or they are in other positions around the world, like gorosei. Also, we now know why germa had their fights with marines, but it seems they are the ones that won since they took over north blue. But they lost at some point later Since they are not anymore.
That thing on Pudding's shoulder reminds me of The Amoeba Boys from The Powerpuff Girls.
Also Sanji as the slim monster from the RPG time.

Vinsmoke are really your typical out-smarted enemies, with intelligence and power on their behalf. Which is why Sanji resulted that strong to be part of the trio… which makes me wonder about the Roronoa Family. Hope some foreshadowing to be showed at the arrival in Wa.
Whole cake island and the design of all the things in this arc so far are really great Oda at his best but Big Mom just doesn't feel like a Yonkou or how would I say dangerous like BB or Kaido I guess she will grow on us as this arc progresses but so far it's all to friendly with what Lola's connection and the wedding plot with sanji involved and we have even seen how friendly pudding is I hope we get some twist further and not shift towards Kaido without making friends with Big Mom or running away as to not underwhelm her Yonkou status in the series as she had a really nice hype and build up comparable to Kaido so far after all these years.
