Good chapter.

Really interested to see Nami's fighting style changes with that new clima tact. I hope she gets a 1vs1 fight in the next arc to show what it can do besides extending.
I'm looking forward to seeing Pedro being developed. His fighting style (I doubt he's just a regular swordsman) and his relationship with Pekoms.
As everyone probably guessed, Carrot is obviously joining the 6 to the Tea Party. Not much of a prediction.

About the separation, as I said in another chapter thread, I'm hoping the Marimo Hats don't have too much adventure to tell when they reunite with the Tea Party group. I don't really want to go through a lot of chapters of flashbacks before the Wano arc really starts.
As for the Reverie, I'm guessing it will last for a few days so that when Kaidou is defeated the news will reach Vivi and the others during one of their meetings.

I wonder how long is the trip to Whole Cake Island. Has Sanji already arrived ? I kind of hope that next chapter switch to Sanji's point of view instead of having flashback later to explained what happened.

Nami knows how to fight with a staff. That's what she did before usopp used magic to enhance the staff.

Let's be crazy : I predict that Sanji's wedding with Purin will happen, but that Big Mom will be Luffy's subordinate and he will be a Yonkou instead of her.

On a more serious note, I feel that Luffy has become too powerful lately, with allies like the Minks, Wano and Zunisha. He's ready to fight against the Yonkous and beat them. I hope it won't be too easy though and that epic arks are ahead, I still feel some bitterness remembering how easily Jack was defeated. It was great, but I hope it won't happen again.

I know you're note serious about Luffy switching places with Big Mom as Yonkou, but just in case you thought Luffy will ever become a Yonkou at any point in the story: he won't. If others consider him so, it would only be for a very brief period of time. But I highly doubt it will happen at all. The whole "system" of the Yonkou is a balance of power dynamic which keeps the New World in check. This system needs to be broken through by someone who is powerful enough to sweep through all of them and take the Road Poneglyphs to find Raftel. Luffy needs to do this. Him becoming one would be contrary to the idea of the New World saga.

Also, I don't see how Jack was easily defeated. He fought with both Inu and Neko for five days and after that took on some of the biggest names on the planet (Sengoku, Fujitora, Tsuru) and came out alive and ready to attack Zou again. We as readers didn't see him fight much, but that doesn't mean it was easy. About it becoming "easy" to fight the Yonkou: Kaidou has one of the greatest military mights in the world. I'm sure even with the Minks and the Samurai it will still be plenty difficult. He needed as much to even begin to stand a chance. And I'm sure Oda will find a way to make it more difficult if need be.

Prolly, I think it could be what she uses to delay BM and her crew as they flee from Wholecake island, after getting discovered . Because that's what is most likely going to happen, and it's likely going to be because of Luffy.Maybe he'll punch someone, Sanji's dad or BM herself (make it happen Oda!).
Anyway she could use it as a last resort, in order to buy themselves some time so they can escape. I imagine it would create some really weird weather conditions, might even allow her to control the weather of an island. That's just me speculating about what it can do, since I don't think we've seen her use it.

She's with Cobra, so the chances of it being the reverie are high.Although he's not seen she tells him to hurry

I doubt that Cobra would go all the way to Wholecake island to witness Sanji's marriage…plus the editor note says that the world is moving, so things will change somehow. And that can be due to the reverie. A few things could change starting with the Shichibukai, and even FI.

Debatably; I just think Big Mom isn't worth being in the spotlight twice. I'd be equally okay with some form of defeat or negation of her threat, then Luffy moving on to join the Kaido group and not ever having to see her again.

Reading this, I immediately thought of Daenerys saying "I'm not going to stop the wheel, I'm going to break the wheel". I totally agree, Luffy doesn't want to be part of the system but to break the system. You're right, but still. What happens off screen doesn't have the same impact as what happened before our eyes. With all the build-up Jack was granted, I was expecting a tough battle to finally get rid of him, not a single blow, even if I understand it was to show how powerful Zunisha was.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, and say that just like Luffy didn't ask for the SH fleet and that he was pretty much against the idea of having "underlings", he could end up being seen as a Yonko. And in theory nothing would stop him from going after other Yonko, even if he ends up being seen as a Yonko himself.
After the grudge war BB was regarded as a Yonko, but it's likely his goal is to become PK. Although we don't know the details, it might not be that BB declared himself a Yonko, and to me at least it has more to do with controlling territories. If the SHs end up having a few territories under their control then Luffy can technically be seen as a Yonko, and then there's this

Nope BB gained his Yonko title after defeating the WB pirates in the Grudge war, about a year ago

There was no build up for Jack. This arc just introduced him. He was never an obstacle for the strahawts and never posed a threat. A fight was never going to happen. This was just his introduction. No way he was going to go all out in his introduction arc. And it wasn't to show how powerful Zunisha was. It was to show how stubborn and brutal Jack as is. And for the the minks to get "paypack" without really tarnishing Jacks reputation. This is the same guy that got destroyed by an Admiral a couple days ago. It doesn't matter if he gets beaten if its by a force of nature(the elephant) or an Admiral(who everyone expected it). Jack is still a massive threat for the future because those two things won't be there to stop him next time.

That was just to show how brutal and stubborn Jack is. Plus let us not forget that his Captain, Kaido, is also a victim of several defeats and captures. Does that make him any less scary? No it doesn't because the way he got defeated and captured were probably similar to Jack of going into a fight he knows he can't win because of his hard head. It's part of their characters and it's ridiculous to think that they're less of a threat because of their stupidity and brutality.

There is something about One Piece that makes people care about world-building by making they hyped about a bunch of guys discussing politics. In a way, it would be nice seeing Shirahoshi interacts with Vivi. I don't know how you would fit a giant mermaid that can't split her tail and it would be stupid to expose a ancient weapon to very suspicious people, but it still would be cool.

By the way, do you guys know that Master Roshi's japanese name is Kame Sennin?

Why would they pass through the Calm Belts to go the Reverie. The Reverie takes place in Mariejois. They'd just sail down the Grand Line toward Saobody and up the Red Line from around there. And as far as shortcuts go, they probably have an Eternal Pose.

Why would they need to go through the Calm Belt? The Reverie is being held at Mariejois. All they need to do is simply sail the Grand Line's Paradise side to the Red Line.

While i have no clue who Carrot is(probably somebody insignificant) this is one of the few times a stowaway is possible since it's somebody weak. Though it may also be that the character is unimportant enough that Oda forgot to draw her in this week since she has no real effect on the story. I kind of don't bother remembering minor character names. Out of the Minks i only know Inu, Meko, Pekoms and Pedro which seem to be the only important ones but i may be missing one.

Carrot and Pedro seem more like "Pauli" in Water seven or more recently Kyros in Dressrosa, somewhat "strong" allies tagging along the adventure and have a certain roll to fill.

Carrot is probably hidden in Luffy's bag or already at the Sunny. There is that line she said about going to the wedding being "fun". I don't think Oda wasted that panel just because... also the color spread.

On other topic, have you guys noticed how Luffy appears to be younger and younger at each new chapter? I miss his water 7 design, he looked more mature. He is supposed to be older and in some panels today he looked like 10 yr old...

(I know Oda tends to Draw him older or more mature when the situation requires it... still)

Is completely believable that you don't know who Carrot is, I mean, with the crap that people sometimes debate here it's kinda easy to forget things but Carrot is the first Mink the Luffy's group encountered on the island, that one rabbit that found Luffy's visit to Big Mama fun and that same character was drawn on the last color spread as an indication that she MIGHT be pulling the Pan of One Piece.

Yup, the squirrel's Tristan. For reference, she's the one that Nami and Brook saved from Sheepshead when they first arrived on Zou, but she's one of the relatively less prominent Minks who've been given names. Wanda's the dog, the one who was wearing Nami's bikini top, who told the Straw Hats the story about Jack, and who repeatedly hugs Nami. Carrot's the rabbit, who very briefly fought Zoro and shocked him with her electric powers, and who also commented "That sounds like fun!" when Luffy brought up his plan to crash Big Mom's tea party. (This is why many fans, myself included, see it as a very solid possibility that she'll end up sneaking along for the ride. Well, that and the color spread that featured her together with Luffy and co., and Pedro, last week.)
