That's not it at all. It's that all of these "theories" have been around for so long that we're now on page 784 of Vol. 6 of journey that is the "Next Strawhat Crewmate" threads.. Every idea/theory has been discussed and picked apart so many times that these threads spend just as much time being closed as being open. They've all been considered, and still need more panel time to be re-considered.

So because it was discussed in before it can't be discussed again lmao. I'm sorry but I think it's more than that.Well then we might just as well close this thread altogether, or make a rule about discussing only completely new characters that we haven't discussed in before.It's kinda futile if you ask me, because as long as there would be a thing such as next nakama we might end up discussing old characters, especially if they appear again.My original reasoning behind her joining is that she could be one of BM's daughters, maybe even be Pudding herself, which is going to be relevant now that the Sanji rescue mission is ongoing.

And we can't exclude that there are those who just don't like her character and are biased. So even if you explain everything to them they'll still reject her, without even considering that she could get character devlopment, or that we could get the fully story about her in time.And claiming that she won't fit in the general mood of the crew, as if all the crew members reacted the same way. Robin, Zoro, Franky don't get freaked out, but the weak trio do all the time, and each SH has his own personality that makes him unique in the crew. And it just so happens that Bonney also has her own unique personality.

I've seen a few being adamant about her not being SH material and that she can't join and giving some random reasons like her power being boring lol. That to me shows that it stems from a dislike of her character or only her power. You can't just say that it's just because it has already been discussed in before, and quite frankly I see quite a few old characters getting mentioned here coughVivicough even though they have no chance of joining, because they have duties they need to attend to.

No it's not the same... Whiile we know jackshit about Bonney's crew... it still doesn't change the fact that it would be sad if she would do nothing if her crew is indeed still imprisoned. But just joining the SHs while not caring about her crew is not "good"

And now why it's not the same as Jinbe's. The Sun pirates actually doesn't want to be pirates... Because Jinbe lost his WG status they are wanted again and needed to leave Fishmen Island and however Big Mom plays into it... Most likely the reason why Jinbe had to postpone his joining has to do with them.

If Luffy and Jinbe settle the things... Do they need to be pirates again and Jinbe is still chanceless to join? No they do not need... And why... Yeah because of the Fishmen District... While it is "officially" closed it would be the perfect place for them to "hide" from the goverment...

As I said... Saying it is the same for Bonney leacing her crew impirosned or whatever without a story is a bit too simple... If there will be a nice story around it I would be OK. But there isn't... And that's why I said out of our ass theories don't make sense right now.

But hey I actually give her more chances if she is indeed Purin or whoever than said characters as Pedro...

What about BM? Do you honestly believe that she'll just let Jinbei go? It's likely she'll seek revenge on his crew for crossing her.
All those who refuse her end up having their loved ones getting decapitated. Which is why I believe BM needs to be taken down or become an ally before he can join.
So it is the same, both would be leaving their crews behind while they could potentially be in danger. And again if her own crew is imprisoned then there isn't much she can do. And the WG is looking for her, so it would be better for her to join a crew where she would be safe, and where she wouldn't have to run all the time.

And again saying something like out of your ass doesn't make your argument more valid. We're here to discuss potential nakama right? Then why can't people just come up with their own theories?. Just because we didn't get the fully story doesn't mean we can't think about possible scenarios. That's what speculating is all about. And we can't get her story now can we? It can only happen if the SHs run into her. So what we can't even discuss her just because we don't know what happened in those two years, even though there are strong hints that she could be related to BM and that she could even be one of her daughters? When there is an upcoming arc where Sanji marries one of BM daughters? It makes no sense.
Even if it's something you don't agree with you should at least try to not demean it by dubbing an ass theory.Or maybe you just have no respect for other people's opinions.

It's funny how you can't say that someone could be a candidate, just because we didn't get the full backstory. We know she was arrested, so her crew too must have been arrested or worse. How can she ever hope to free them? Break into ID?
And here I see people rooting for Triclops girl even though we know jack shit about her. Weird.
Honestly it just feels like some people are biased and don't want to even consider her as a candidate, despite the connection she could have with BM. Meh.

She mighty be an important piece of the WG or the Void Century, it doesn't matter. And if we need this kind of character in the crew, Robin already fills this role and heck even Luffy for whatever the D means. She is a character that simply has no syncronization with the crew mood. She is the kind of character that does this in a regular mugiwara situation.

I didn't say anything about her being related to the Void century, and frankly I find it to be far fetched. Her story is likely related to BM and WB. Not all the OP characters that are interesting need to be related to the Void century. And I'm sorry but how can you be so sure of that? There's very little interaction between her and the crew, in fact she only really interacted with Zoro. And shouldn't we actually see her do that with all of the crew or a good portion of them before coming to that conclusion?
I have yet to see you come with a single strong reason for her not to join, and again nothing is set into stone, who would have thought that Robin would turn out to be such a great addition to the crew? Very few I would say, since she was first an enemy then became a nakama, same for Franky. Actually Franky stole the money from Usopp and his family beat him up, and yet he is now an essential part of the crew.
So again I'd like to really know what is it about her character that is so incompatible with the crew? Is it because she said she would crush them? I think she likes to act tough, but deep down she's sensitive, as seen when WB died. So her words shouldn't be taken literally, and if anything we've seen her rejoice to see the SHs beat DD and his men.

So she's proud to be from the same generation. That shows that she could share the same dream as the SHs, and that she admires them. So that clearly shows there's more things in common between her and the SHs than what you'd think.

Tbh this is the first time I've seen so much hate for a character who is well written, and I just don't get how people can be so sure that someone isn't "SH material". And yet they end up rooting for other characters who don't end up joining anyway, and don't have much originality to them. I find that to be rather funny.

I'd rather have a character who is well written, even if at first he could be seen as an enemy or a rival, and if anything we've seen Oda use that trope twice.

I already explained what does, she no longer sees them as enemies, and on Sabaody she saved Zoro's life . Although she had her own selfish reasons for doing that since it would be bad if an admiral showed up.

Besides it's as if everything has been already written in stone, what about her getting redeemed? If some see Ceasar getting that, despite all the horrible things he did, then surely she could get something like that if Oda really plans on doing it. And that could take the form of a flashback that would explain her background, why she was arrested etc.

Nope it's the same, both have crews they should care about. According to you she shouldn't abandon her crew, whom for all we know could all be currently imprisoned in ID with no way of getting out. Or do you suggest that she does like Luffy? I think that was a one time thing.

What would happen if Jinbei joins? Would he abandon his crew as well? Shouldn't he care about them?

What if they were all imprisoned? She can't get them out can she? I'm saying that her wish to sail again would be so strong that she'd want to sail again, no matter the cost. And right now she seems to like the SHs. And as explained earlier it's not any different from Jinbei who has his own crew, but is expected to join. If we go by what you say then he can't join because he has his own crew and should worry about them.

Without her own crew, that's unlikely. She wants to sail, and how is this any different than Jinbei? He has his own crew too.
We've seen her getting arrested by Akainu 2 years ago, some speculated that it was because of her fruit, that she could use to rejuvenate the old farts from the Gorosei, but it turns out they still look old. Remember she can make a grown man become a small child, so she has a wide range of ages she could change them into.

So that wasn't the reason she got captured. We know that Charlotte has at least 35 daughters, how that is possible don't ask me. Pudding is the 35th, so that potentially leaves Bonney, and even Lola be two of her daughters.
They both have similar lipstick as BM, and Bonney's ship is literally a cake.

And who else has a cake shaped ship? You guessed it, BM herself. And then there's Wholecake island which is an island shaped into cakes.

And the love Bonney has for food is the same as BM. As for her name, what if she used an alias? If this marriage business is something that was planned a long time ago, then she could have also ran away from home, and decided to have her own crew and not be affiliated with her mother, because she's a monster just like Sanji ran away from his folks because of their evil deeds(prolly).

Also her getting arrested can be explained simply by her being BM's daughter, but the Vinsmokes seem to have power over the WG so they prolly couldn't execute her for being BM's daughter.

Do you really think they would have made it out of there, all of them? We saw Bonney alone when she escaped, or was released not sure. But she's in hiding that's for sure.
But hiding from who? The WG, or BM who wants to marry her off?

I want Pudding to be Bonney. She's definitely one of the more interesting female characters in OP, and she praised the SHs for taking down DD, and on top of that she doesn't have a crew atm.
So her joining the SHs is feasable and would reflect the real Bonney who joined other crews.

If it's a female character I hope it will more than just for fanservice.And that she'd play an active role, lately we haven't seen Robin or Nami play an active role.

The only person I would die to see him join is Crocodile.:wub:
