Fantastic chapter !
As I predicted, there was no "real" battle to defeat Jack (as in a battle between Luffy and co vs Jack and his crew) and there were at most 2-3 chapters before Luffy leaves the island.
And that wasn't because of this "year of Sanji" announcement but just the way I felt about the current flow of the story.
Where I was wrong, where I'm really glad I was, is that they would find a way for Zunisha to run away while removing whatever or whoever Jack was using to navigate to the island. Having Zunisha fighting back crossed my mind but I never expected something as epic as what happened in the chapter.
I'm still intrigued to find out how Jack is doing it. The more likely explanation IMO is that he stole a vivre card from a mink in another island since I don't see a mink betraying its home country.
Anyway, it's looking to me that Jack will be defeated in the same arc as Kaidou and the other calamities. I'll be really glad if it stays that way.
If it is, it's even more likely that Luffy won't be the one to beat him. I can't see him fighting him and Kaidou in the same arc.
So more room for an epic fight for his crewmate/allies. Even though I like Luffy's allies (current and future), I hope they leave the 2 of the 3 calamities to Zoro and Sanji.
That war against Kaidou is looking even more epic if Kidd, Hawkins and Apoo are involved. That's like a third of the worst generation which will be present in that battle on both sides.
(if it's revealed or hinted in Sanji's arc that Killer is one of his older brother, their reunion is one more thing to really look forward)
But for now, I can't wait to read the next arc which won't be short IMO. So many great things to expect : Jinbe finally joining, Sanji's past, Brook's past, maybe another (the final ?) crewmate, more development of the Swirly Hats battle abilities, is Big Mom Lola's mom as everyone expects ? ā¦
Judging by the color spread, Carrot and Pedro might join Luffy for a while. If they do, I'm interested to see what reason they will be using to explain why they should.
