Arcs focused on StrawHat members are the best in my opinion. These arcs are more touching than others. I still can remember Nico Robin crying at Eneas Lobby, Chopper crying watching the cherry trees or Nami crying at Arlong Park.
So dear Sanji… prepare yourself to cry in Tea Party Island!
Chapter 813: An Invitation to the Tea Party

As for regular bullets being Hakified, it's been brought up but Ben Beckman is a good example of a big shot threatening a Logia with a gun. Of course he could have just had sea stone bullets but not likely. What ever the case we know projectiles can be impede with Haki so bullets or even chucking rocks should be fair game.
The Ben Beckman example, I am afraid, is not a good supporting evidence for the notion that projectiles can be imbued with haki, because Kizaru was shown on many occasions fooling around and pretending to be afraid or hurt just as he pretended to be hurt when Marco landed a kick on his forearm in the sky. The best supporting evidence we have had up to now is the Kuja arrows. If infusing them with haki can dramatically boost their penetrative force, it should theoretically make them able to injure ability users as well.

"I Want to marry"
Take us out on the sea for our honeymoon

I really hope Pekoms will guide the strawhats to Big Mom.

I disagree. If OP is quite close to the real world, it is even closer to the 17th century of our world where royals never ever married common people. In OP world, this dynamic of status is worse since World nobles actually think themselves above anyone else. They loath humans and don't hesitate to turn them into slaves so how in the world would they bind themselves to people they consider as scum? Why the hell would they make an alliance with a Yonkou when they have the entire Marine backing them up plus WG agents? And how in the world the 5 Elders would allow it? And the most important question: why would they form an alliance with a Yonkou when they have already everything they want in the world (or if they don't, the WG will hand it to them in the second) ? They clearly don't care about politics, don't seem smart enough to make plans and just spend their time either locked up in Mariejoa disposing of their slaves or going around and using their privilege to treat others like shit.
As for nobles, Sabo's family showed that even them have a superiority complex. They are so obsessed with statuses that they don't even acknowledge their son when blown up by a Celestial Dragon and just consider their adoptive son as their only child. Sabo's father's relationship with Blue Jam revealed us that even if nobles sometimes tread with pirates and outlaws, they always end up making them false promises and never really allow them to get at their level. See: Blue Jam was promised to be made a noble in exchange of setting fire on Grey Terminal but was betrayed in the end because to nobles, a common person and even less a criminal will never be at their level.
To me, this theory makes no sense. The only way his family could have celestial blood is that they are actually disgraced World nobles but I doubt very hard Oda will pull this card again (and so soon after Doflamingo's past revelation). Sanji could have blue blood but his family must be distanced enough from the WG to just think about marrying their son to a Yonkou's daughter but close enough to influence them.
The second reason why this theory could turn out true would be that the Charlotte family are nobles too. In this case, it would somehow makes sense even though I'm still not completely convinced (It would be too much in my opinion to have the Donquixotes, Sabo's family and now the Vinsmocks and the Charlottes but maybe Oda is doing his own version of Romeo and Juliet?).
I don't say OP is close to the real world; I only suggest that in the real world we could find examples about how powerul people of the governments have important business with powerful criminals; but there's no point on thinking OP has to portraid some aspect or epoch of our realworld. So I don't think we are communicating here. Also keep in mind that for these people a marriage is not something of the heart or romantic, but just mere business; like in the Godfather film: "only business". Anyway, as a theory, this may be wrong. The only way to know it is just wait an reading future chapters. It's just a possibility.

Yeah Kizaru tends to act all silly and he got away no problem but then what about Ben Beckman? That's Shanks' Rayleigh/Zoro/Marco/Jack. No way he pointed a gun at Kizaru and it was secretly an empty threat.
Kizaru pretending or joking that kick hurt him doesn't matter one way or another. The fact is the kick made contact with Kizaru and forced him to the ground. Doesn't matter if he lost 100 health points or 1, the Haki made the contact possible.
Ben's threat isn't 100% evidence of Haki being imbued into the bullet but there is an extremely good chance it can be done. Holding on to an arrow and letting go isn't much different from pulling a trigger if the Armament is being transferred from the hands into the weapon.
Here is a better one, Boa Hancock and the Pistol Kiss.
Not an actual gun but the attack hurt Luffy and Luffy questioned why it hurt. Remember this was during the arc in which Haki was given some real depth and the audience as well as Luffy was left to figure things out. It wasn't her Love Love aspect of her heart shaped bullet because that had no affect on Luffy at all. It was the Haki imbued into the bullet.
And not Armament but Eneru used electricity to enhance his Color of Observation.
-
Judging by whats already happened or said during Fishman Island and Punk Hazard I think we've been given our hints at Zoro's ability already. Sanji won't be far behind especially since it's looking like his seemingly empty threat to Kuma about being the most troublesome to the Marine's may carry some real weight to it. Being hugely famous seems to be a big part of it and apparently there are plenty of others who can use it.
There are the Rayleigh's and Ace's in the world so being an underling isn't a factor that limits a person.
If Scopper Gabban(sp?) makes his debut with no CoC ability then I might question Sanji. But this is Luffy's crew, already on track to do much more and accomplish what Roger's crew couldn't.
Going back a bit. Speaking of Sanji's threat to Kuma. Anyone else think Sanji may have had his family connections in mind when he tried to warn Kuma? It certainly doesn't contradict anything we've been seeing so far.
The fact that Sanji's ambition doesn't really involve aiming to the top of something, unlike Luffy or Zoro, speaks against him. And he's also too easily influenced, whereas people with CoC have been consistently shown to do the inverse.
-
Zoro's level of determination is frightening and I swear he's shown to train himself more than any strawhat, if you look at how ripped Rayleigh is, Zoro is pretty much becoming the spitting image of Ray Ray. What with the scar over one eye, scar across the chest, sword users. There's even the dark aura in Zoro that is developing and this idea that his haki will materialize as this demonic being. Rayleigh is called "Dark King" so far there has been no indication of anything dark about him, could be haki related too.
Coming back to Sanji's siblings, other than the blonde hair Bellamy doesn't look like him, doesn't have a chivalrous way about him, doesn't even come close to dressing as good as Sanji. Bellamy is older too. Sanji is actually a really good looking guy, Bellamy looks more like hunchback of Notre Dame than a Prince. I would highly recommend you guys throw this idea out the window, heck Cavendish has a better chance of being a brother.
It's not strong evidence, yes, because nothing happened. But Kizaru seemed pretty hell bent on not letting Luffy escape and then to simply stop dead in his pursuit just so that he can troll Ben doesn't seem likely. Kizaru in archipelago wanted to go after the fleeing strawhats and didn't simply pull out his light sword to troll Rayleigh, he had to try fend him off to complete his mission, we even see him try to use his light mirror to go after them even though Rayleigh was there but was stopped by his sword. He looks like a troll and has his troll moments but he looks like the type of guy that knows when he's out of his depths. I think he dared even try fighting the former PK's right hand man because he now has grey hair…

Sorry if this have already come up by someone else, I don't have time to read the thread but I believe that the Vinsmoke Family is like the Riku. The ones that take the place of the family that got to be a Celestial Dragon but unlike Rikus they have good terms with the CD and that gives them power to make such thing like the new bounty.
I know they can be just a super rich family that got blackmailed/forced to make the wedding because no one says no to Big Mom but this doesen't make sense about the WG to care about a Pirate or two except if they have some plan to capture SH's or even Big Mom
So if Vinsmoke is what I said they can be on the Reverie like Rikus but on the other side and have the power to make the SH's to get even bigger bounties. And of course Luffy can be very angry with them

Yep me too and after that he can be a Division Commader

pekoms will definitely tells everything to strawhats, expect next chapter will be another flashbacks XD. Depends on what pekoms will tell to SH, but im sure this will leads to gate crashing a tea party XD

The fact that Sanji's ambition doesn't really involve aiming to the top of something, unlike Luffy or Zoro, speaks against him. And he's also too easily influenced, whereas people with CoC have been consistently shown to do the inverse.
Whitebeard didn't aim for the top, he aimed for a family and that got him the World's strongest man title. Chinjao and Doflamingo don't seem to aim for the top much but they both have CoC. I think Sanji would surpass those 2 no problem. Sai is likely to get CoC too since he took the place of Chinjao, and I didn't see him say he aims for the top. Ace himself could fit here too I guess( he just wanted to be loved?). Also, Sanji is a leader, proof with the Swirly hats.
Sanji did imply in a way that he aim for the top. For him to give marines/wg the most trouble, I guess he would have to be some top guy.
I think he special thing about Luffy is that he can get even other ''kings'' under him, like Roger.( And he is likely to have at least 2 with Sai and Zoro)
Sanji is easy influenced by girls but that is for funny reasons most of the time. Same way luffy has food and Zoro drinking. Besides, we saw with Viola that Sanji was not wrong to be influenced by her, he can see if a girl lies to him, and it the end that way he got Viola on their side.If people like Chinajo and Sai can have CoCs( much lower ranked in the Luffy crew then Sanji), I don't see why would it be any problem is the 3rd guy in the pirate king's crew has it. Sai is like the 3rd guy from the fleet, not even the actual crew like Sanji.

Of course he is.
As to contribute to this debate.
Do Sanji / Zoro really need Conqueror's Haki ?
Rayleigh had it because it was a perfect way to introduce it to the story and since he trained Luffy, he would learn him how to use that ability.
To me, there shouldn't be a parallel between him and Zoro there.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

Saï is the leader now.
He is leader of his navy but also underling of luffy.
And sanji at least is the left hand of luffy and more close to him, rather then the 3rd guy from the fleet. also sanji could get his fleet of mobsters under his command.

Sai is not lower ranked than Sanji in the crew as he is not really part of it. In fact, most of the fleet guys are probably stronger than half of the Straw Hats (Pekoms outranking Bege and Jinbe doesn't stop the latter two from being stronger than him). Sai also is not confirmed to have CoC.
Chinjao is a retired pirate. He's not part of the Happo Navy anymore.
Oh, and Whitebeard (at some point at least) and Doula Mongo totally aimed for the top. After all, Whitebeard was once the world's strongest man and Roger's rival, and he kept pirating even after making a family for a reason.

Doula mongo aimed for the top how… as the underling of Kaidou, stay in the same place for 10 years.
And Sai is ranked lower then Sanji, his importance in the crew is much lower. We even have examples with the other yonkous. The main crew would be like fleet captains. There s no way you can even imply that sai is even close in importance to the crew like Sanji who was a monster trio guy in the crew since chapter 60 or when did sanji join. The very fact that he s is the only that rivals zoro as second after luffy shows that.
The fleet is a bonus they got after 800 chapters and the those characters have been introduced around that time, the main crew was formed by luffy since the beggining and are main characters after him.
So for the fleet I seee it like this_ Luffy takes the first fleet with Bartolomeo and cavendish, zoro can take the samurais, sanji take his mobsters or whatever his family is, chopper takes the minks and so on, but they are the fleet captains that lead those fleet, if WB is any example about how fleets work.
And yes WB kept pirating, because he wants to be a pirate, but his dream that was even in the flashback before it died was about family. The guy could be pirate king if he wanted, but he didn t, shows that it was not his main goal like Luffy s goal, top of the pirates was not his goal or main one.

!
i personally think anyone with a great ambition is a viable candidate to have CoC and that includes all strawhats , but to me if any of them is going to show it soon it's gonna be zoro
-
Once Zoro opens that eye all hell is breaking loose. As for Sanji he's strong without a doubt but he doesn't seem like a conquoeor to me..Just my two cents. A lot of Sanji fans refuse Zoro for having it since they'd like to have Him and Zoro in the same tier, and the same rebuttal is Zoro & Sanji are equal if Zoro gets Coc then so should Sanji.

I always say that the reason Zoro lost one eye was for Oda to show that his training with Mihawk was hard, not some cake walk, Mihawk didn t go easy on zoro at all.
And the CoC thing is not even about zoro and sanji anymore, even if they are rivals. I don t see how Sai and Chinjao can have it, but there is no way Sanji can have it LOL.

keep in mind rarely main characters in Shonen loose an eye , there is always some power up or something special behind a closed eye.Sai hasn't been confirmed yet I'm sitting 50/50 with him but Sanji I'm not too sure plus the straw hats don't need to have 3 Coc's 2 is enough especially for their ambitions and end goal.

I made my point above about ambitions. And not to forget that Sanji wants to become the most dangerous man for wg. That s some top ambition, considering there will also be a pirate king around and how can you be more dangerous then that.

i didn't take Sanji's quote and that time to literal especially since there are bigger dogs then Sanji around I can see him being problematic due to his Family but besides that I don't see him as a major threat. Also you can look at Nami's & Especially Robins goal as major I think bigger then Sanji's but there's no way Oda is giving them Coc.
-

Yeah but that doesn't really mean anything as far as CoC is concerned. Usually when it comes to Sanji and his goal to find All Blue people use that as an excuse to limit him in fighting capability or what Haki he could use. Rayleigh simply said those who have made a name for themselves in the world probably possess the CoC. White Beard's ultimate goal was to have a family but his life style of a fighting pirate put him at the top. While Ace did want to become famous, he mainly just wanted to be loved. Now while he displayed is CoC before he even became a leading pirate, he happily served under someone else who he wanted to make king instead of himself.
Sanji is a leader in his own right(as seen with among the Straw Hat's several times) and the fact that he is one of the Straw Hat's main fighters and has a notorious family name would only contribute to possibly gaining conquerers Haki. He may not fight Mihawk but he will be fighting guys of the same caliber who will only add to his notoriety.
For those of you who need fainting couches get ready to clutch your pearls. I think Usopp will get it too, just to a significantly smaller degree since he is so physically average.

You can argue that every Straw Hat has leading capacities.
Franky was the leader of its own gang, Brook was the captain of the Rumbar Pirates, Nami takes control whenever it comes to navigating and even orders Luffy, Zoro and Sanji around, Usopp manages to have giants on their knees.
I mean, if we use capacity of leadership as a measure of CoC, then might as well give it to every member in the crew.

What the hell are you talking about? There's only one fleet.
Fleet captains are the 7 representatives of the fleet: Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Sai, Ideo, Hajrudin, Leo and Orlumbus. They're the equivalent of Oars Jr., Doma, McGuy, Decalvan Brothers, Squard, etc.
Whitebeard had division captains, which were different and necessary because his proper crew had 1600 members.
Oh, and in regards to Whitebeard, it appears he was interested in fortunes in his childhood, so that might have been the basis of his (early) ambitions. He would be similar to Ace in that regard.

He was not Kaido's underling.

And Doula made it clear that he wanted to conquer the world.
Ever since he was a kid, Doflamingo dream was return to Celestial dragons and be one, even killed his father for that. Because they rejected him, now he wants to destroy the world. Spoiled brat, nice ambition. No way Sanji can ever hope for such ambition.
And Doflamingo is for Kaidou what Ceasar was for Doflamingo, underling but not actual part of his crew. Doflamingo most important deal is to make Kaiou a large army. So we works for him, and I didn t see Kaidou give something in exchange. Law even think Kaidou would hunt him down if Dolaming can t make A zoans for him anymore.

Did you miss the fact that Doflamingo was supplying weapons to various kingdoms and organizations? That was the whole point of the Revos being in Dressrosa. Where did you think those weapons come from? Kaido's factory in that winter Island that Caribou was in. SMILEs in Exchange for weapons. That was the deal between Doffy and Kaido.

A puppet master a suicidal maniacs underling….even tho we had a whole arc showing how doffy wad pulling strings and working with Kaidou.
Why fight the strongest creature in series when you can manipulate him.

I really hope Pekoms will guide the strawhats to Big Mom.
@The:
Yep me too and after that he can be a Division Commader
Pekoms is their best chance of getting there.
Capone didn't give any information about the whereabouts of this tea party, so the Straw Hats are oblivious to that; however, there is one - only one - person on Zou with that knowledge, & that is Pekoms.
Pekoms failed to honor his given word of repaying the Straw Hats for saving his family & friends by turning a blind eye to Sanji, but he could compensate for that by guiding them to the tea party.
@RomanceDawn:Yeah Kizaru tends to act all silly and he got away no problem but then what about Ben Beckman? That's Shanks' Rayleigh/Zoro/Marco/Jack. No way he pointed a gun at Kizaru and it was secretly an empty threat.

Even if we suppose that his threat was genuine, there is no way of knowing whether that bullet was imbued with haki or whether it was a sea stone bullet.

How could Kaido destroy the world for him? And how will this make him the ruler of the world?
-
How could Kaido destroy the world for him? And how will this make him the ruler of the world?
Kaido mentioned destroying the boring world they live him. Pretty much he plans to go against the Tenryubito and the original plan would involve take this opportunity to rule Mariejoa. Everything that was said is hypotetical but very accurate.
-
A bit excited for the arc, it feel different from the typical arc.

It's irony to say Doflamingo was the puppet master when he was manipulated by Trebol since he was small, he is the creations of his underlings that awaken the evil in him. They took advantage of a spoiled brat that lost his CD status and wanted him it back.

Trebol fancied himself the puppetmaster, but Law points out in the same chapter that he and the other seats had long since lost control of Doflamingo and were simply his valued but disposable underlings.Trebol and co. certainly helped to amplify his evil traits, but a big point of his flashbacks was that he had always been an evil, spoiled child. Trebol was just deluding himself.

Doula was psychotic way before meeting Trebol and co.
He didn't need them to "awaken" his evil.

So we can tell from this chapter that Jack may actually fuck Capone so easily.. and it's the time for Jinbei to take Sanji's place at the Monster Trio
-
It was practically explicitly stated through Vito that Jimbei will be present in this tea party. I know someone that is going to be very ecstatic about this. It's about time if you ask me. There is only one problem, though: Jimbei said that he is going to sever his ties with Big Mam ASAP. If he hasn't already severed his ties with her at the previous tea party, there is an extremely high chance that he is going to show up in this one, especially since Vito said that Big Mam hates those who don't show up to her tea parties and that they find themselves asphyxiated the next morning (shudders).

If he hasn't already severed his ties with her at the previous tea party, there is an extremely high chance that he is going to show up in this one, especially since Vito said that Big Mam hates those who don't show up to her tea parties and that they find themselves asphyxiated the next morning (shudders).
As far as i can remember, we have been in the new world for arround a month only. Jinbei didn't have a chance most likely to cut his ties with big mom yet. I can't recall if this is a NEW tea party than the last one though. I'm at work and cant think clearly

2 weeks actually, but yeah, the first tea party was likely delayed.

The previous tea party was set to happen 4 days after the day that Pekoms and Tamago arrived at Fishman Island. That was Jimbei's chance to do sever his ties with Big Mam, unless he couldn't for some reason(s) we have yet to know.
It's been more than a week after the previous tea party should have happened.
@Galaxy:2 weeks actually, but yeah, the first tea party was likely delayed.
Could you please tell me what it is that makes you think that the previous tea party was delayed?
-
What makes you think that the previous tea party was delayed?
Because if it happened, the Tamatebako Box would've exploded in Big Mom's face. Pekoms and the others probably didn't go back to the island, and they would've been required to if a tea party was being held. Them making it back means the box would've been opened. It was an important plot point at the end of Fishman Island, so it'd be weird if she just didn't open it for some random reason.
Then there's Sanji's picture, which would've been discovered before the bounties were actually issued. The moment one of the Vinsmokes saw the picture, the plans could've been set into motion for the wedding, which makes sense since the bounty came out as Only Alive 2 days after the planned date for the tea party.
I'm also inclined to believe this theory.
I think I have some info that may help clarify matters in regards to the date of the tea party. In chapter 651 (p.16-17), when Luffy picks up the den den mushi and talks to Big Mom, Tamago takes it from him and proposes they push the date back two weeks in exchange for treasure from Luffy. The reason Tamago stated for the two week delay is that is when he would be able to bring her sweets. I interpreted this to infer that the FI factory would be able to be repaired and meet its quota in 14 days. BM's acid overflow thinking about the FI sweets combined with Tamago's suggestion of the sweets suggested that the FI sweets were the main item at the party and that it could not occur without them. Therefore, when BM decided to turn her wrath towards Luffy, she indirectly gave the go ahead for the tea party once FI was ready.
Since FI needed 14 days from day 1, this would mean the party was postponed to either day 14 or 15 depending on how they interpreted it. So Sanji would either be getting married today or tomorrow.
Sure, I am just interpreting the translation and reading between the lines, but I think this makes the most sense since the Tea Party seemed to be something specific their deal with FI, they could have deals with other islands but they probably supply other items… like tea and cake(okay I guess tea would be the main item then, but still).

Doula was psychotic way before meeting Trebol and co.
He didn't need them to "awaken" his evil.
He certainly fostered it, trebol noticed the CoC and tried to groom him into a powerful guy that he could ride his coattails to the top, doffy was a violent kid at a young age but not so differemt from ace who also hated the world in his own way. If trebol discovered ace, he might too have become a maniac, assuming headquarters didnt kill him cause he revealed his heritage
-
No candy no tea party. Plain and simple.
Fishman island's candy factory was destroyed, so unless Tamago found another source for those sweets, the party won't happen as scheduled.
By the way, the tea party will be a perfect opportunity to introduce more of Big Mom's allies, and Sanji bride. -

Ace is irrelevant to this. Had Doula never met Trebol before, he probably wouldn't have changed much from what he is today (a pirate with underworld connections). Trebol just made things easier to him by giving him powers and underlings.
In the end, Trebol, Diamante, Vergo and Pica were nothing but tools.

**Pekoms is their best chance of getting there.
Capone didn't give any information about the whereabouts of this tea party, so the Straw Hats are oblivious to that; however, there is one - only one - person on Zou with that knowledge, & that is Pekoms.
Pekoms failed to honor his given word of repaying the Straw Hats for saving his family & friends by turning a blind eye to Sanji, but he could compensate for that by guiding them to the tea party.**
Even if we suppose that his threat was genuine, there is no way of knowing whether that bullet was imbued with haki or whether it was a sea stone bullet.
How could Kaido destroy the world for him? And how will this make him the ruler of the world?
I do have a sinking suspicion from these past 2 chapters that Pekoms only ever really served Big Mom to protect Zou in a similar relationship to Jinbe allying with Big Mom to protect Fishman Island. He might've been more directly involved with Big Mom's crew then Jinbe ever was but the simple fact of the matter is that this chapter and the previous one illustrated that he's ultimately more loyal to his homeland then to the crew he was in. So yeah… I speculate that with him being left behind and probably for dead Pekoms is going to want to help out the SH's in at least some form. Granted... I doubt he'll directly help them because he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd want to directly fight Big Mom but... At the very least I could see him deciding to ally with Luffy and be a part of his fleet and having Zou now be a part of Luffy's territory instead of Big Mom's. I feel like even when Luffy's not around some members of his fleet like maybe Orlumbus or Ideo or somebody will always be protecting Zou and the Minks... Just a thought...
Anyway some people are speculating that Luffy is going to wait to go after Sanji to settle the business on Zou with the samurai... I kind of doubt that honestly... Luffy's the kind of guy who wouldn't sit still and let something like this happen to one of his nakama lying down... Just look at what happened with Robin at Enies Lobby he ended up declaring war on the entire World Government to get her back... I feel like he's going to go directly at war with Big Mom for what she's doing with Sanji right now... And that will be very very interesting to say the least... Because we could be seeing what the full power of a Yonko is very shortly :ninja:.
I do wonder what's going on with the other members of the Worst Generation though. Capone has now gotten quite a bit of screen-time (or panel time) compared to the others (besides Law and Luffy obviously) so I can't help but wonder if we're going to finally see what happened to the Kid Alliance soon. Just a thought... A hope... Please Oda please...

Eternal poses would still work in the new world right? Maybe Pekoms has one.
