So..in the preview of next episode, Gohan says "We are definitely more powerful than we were in the past, but even so just five of us cannot beat 1000 soldiers easily".
So that should confirm the Frieza soldiers trained hard during those 4 months? We better get flashback of what kind of training Frieza and his soldiers had.
He does not say that at all. That's another mistranslation from the ever-present garbage fansubs present for this series. What he says is that Freeza is way stronger than before, and that the five of them will do everything they can even if they're up against a force of a thousand men.
-
I see.
Chapter 6 is out.
http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Dragon-Ball-Chou/Chapter-006?id=255284
That was some nice foreshadowing in the last pages.
-
Soo… Bulma has a sibling?
Also 4 Earthlings attending the tournament?
Sigh...
-
U should read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman and u will have an idea who Tights is.
I look forward seeing female Saiyans, since in U7 the female saiyans were weak(Gine), then in U6 what if its ruled by a Queen aka the Queen of the Saiyans?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I wonder who is the mysterous guy that is claimed to be Beerus strongest challenge?
Will it be Broly? Arale? Neko Majin? Bardock?
-
Watch Champa's Saiyans be those plant-muppets from Episode of Bardock.
lol at Goku throwing his son under the bus, ouch.
-
lol, Tight's calender is awesome. Seems Jaco got his selfie with Beerus.
-
Does the 6th and 7th Universe have a Cowboy and a Gangster planet as well?

Well if he can pimp off his son's girlfriend doing such a thing wouldn't be beneath him either:ninja:
-
Piccolo and Buu gonna get wrecked bad arent they?
-

Jet Bee, who looks suspiciously like Beerus with a wig and mustache.

I want Queen Vegeta who is married to alt universe Goku. The two will also be incredibly lovey dovey around each other. Mostly just to see how Goku and Vegeta would react to such a thing
-
Piccolo and Buu gonna get wrecked bad arent they?
Knowing Toriyama (who Piccolo happens to be one of his favourite characters, rightfully so), he would make both or either Goku and Vegeta lose their fight.
-
Piccolo and Buu gonna get wrecked bad arent they?
With all this talk about Super Dragonballs and Nameks, I'm just wondering what kind of power-up Piccolo will get.

I doubt it was another Saiyan given how much contempt he showed King Vegeta earlier. And remember, the dude he's referring to is still alive–at least as far as he knows.
-
Obviously, it'll be Whis in disguise.

Arale is pretty much still alive!
-
Arale is pretty much still alive!
As is Neko Majin. So they've at least got a better chance…
-
If u guys checked the Neko Majin x DBZ crossover, Neko Majin is fairly strong.
The only way I can see Gohan taking part of the tournament is if someone from Team Beerus fails the written exam(Buu and maybe Goku).
Tbh, Im gonna laugh so hard if Goku fails the exam.

Episode 21:
Tagoma went from scrub to Buu tier in 4 months, by basically using the Saitama training
OPM One Version Spoiler
! (going beyond ur limits).
-
So did Trunk and Goten feel the Ki of Freeza and co. and decided to go there? Don't understand Japanese, but that's what I figured :P
-
Why edit my post when Saitama pretty much had to go beyond his limits/train like hell to become powerful during the House of Evolution Arc?
It seems that Frieza has reached God-tier level and the powerful Ki the Z-fighters felt is Tagoma?
In the preview Gohan said Tagoma was as strong as him and that was powerful he powered up.
Looking forward to Ginyu return.

! The limiter talk doesn't come until Zombieman talks to Dr. Genus again at his Takoyaki stand, and it at least also becomes a reason why Garou continuously gets stronger in the Monster Association fight. All that was covered in the house of evolution was that he did a pretty standard training regiment. I wouldn't even say it's going beyond your limits at that point than it is just him working real hard.
-
Well Saitama mentiond humans could evolve if they wanted to.
In DBS, Tagoma also evolved to Buu tier level, and he also changed emotionally(went from soft to a sadistic bastard like Freeza).
I watched the episode on both spanish and english, and the spanish version didnt include that the training Freeza and Tagoma did was "special", all they said was Freeza was torturing Tagoma.
Next episode Toei has to explain more of the special training Freeza had to achieve Gold form.
-
lol at Tagoma being stated to be "even stronger than the Ginyu Force" and that somehow being strong enough to solo Gohan, Piccolo, Ten and Krillin. Yes, someone with a powerlevel of over 120,000 apparantly needs Super Buu-tier level opponents to pose a challenge.
-
I expect it was more for referencing Ginyu.

That doesn't mean he was just a bit above that. His own dialogue after hearing Ginyu mentioned implies that he is wayyyyyy above that.
-
Well Gotenks will be in the fight after all
Since in next week's episode preview you see SSJ Gotenks headbutt Tagoma in the nuts
-
gohan is the new yamcha

A touching moment in my Dragon Ball ?
What the hell is this ?

Lets not take Sorbet words seriously.
I watched the episode in both spanish and english subs, in the spanish version, Gohan says in the preview Tagoma was as strong as him, in the english version he says Tagoma might be as strong as his "hidden power" which he kinda means mystic?

One thing I wonder - What will the super dragon balls actually be used for? Aside from straight death wishes, there's not a whole lot that the current sets of dragonballs can't grant when it comes to wishing. The only wish I can really come up with that the protagonists might actually want (but can't do with the current DBs) -
Restore planet Vegeta and the saiyans.
That wish hasn't been possible because the established sets of dragon balls have a time limit attached to bringing back things that have been destroyed/killed. Presumably, the super dragon balls wouldn't have that limitation, and thus the entire saiyan race could be revived using them. Short of that, I can't really think of what they'd use the new sets of dragon balls for.
-
It may be that the regular dragon balls can't affect things in other universes.
-

You know, this gets said a lot, but I can't recall when it was explicitly stated.
"Don't destroy the bodies, we'll be using them later" and "I had to reassemble his body" sure, but I can't think of when it ever explicitly said "You HAVE to revive them within a certain time".
-
I like how you can waste one wish to revive one person but with the same price you can revive multiple people if you specify who killed they.

"Waste" is such a harsh word, if its an important someone.
And I think that's purely a distinction between the Earth and Namek balls. Earth can do groups, but Namek gets the multiple wishes. (And then later Earth gets multiple wishes too.)

IIRC Kami makes mention of it when they bring back everyone who was killed by Freeza. There was worries that the saiyans would also be brought back to life.

Krillin also mentioned Maijin Buu by name as someone who can help stop the invasion. So he should at least have some presence even if he doesn't do anything.

It was mentioned in the conversation between Kaio and Kami in the Namek arc regarding which wish they should make. However, most fans don't realize that what was actually mentioned is that there's a time limit of 1 year when the wish involves resurrecting a large number of people. No time limit is ever mentioned regarding the resurrection of just one person. Meaning that the time limit is just an off-set when wishing back a large number of people, it doesn't mean that the dragon wouldn't be able to resurrect someone who had died more than 1 year ago.
-
with there being an intelligence test to check applicant suitability suggested by vegeta, I would absolutely love it if Vegeta and Goku failed the test. meaning that two other warriors from earth must be recruited.
-
I expect the test to be one that a person could pass either by thinking things through or by being so simple minded that they pass by accident.
Like a test where you're given a ridiculously long list of tasks along with the directions to read everything first and the last line is to do nothing after you finish reading the first three lines.
-
Is Kaio-sama on vacation? Did he not detect Freezer? No warning the earth or Goku either.
-

Lol, we had this at elementary school and just everyone completely failed. At least I fully accepted the failue and wasn't so pathetic to erase all answers in order to pretent it didn't happen.
Actually they did a full-fledged IQ test with us, but never told us - I only realized 20 years later when I saw in a TV show how these tests look.

https://www.change.org/p/nasa-changing-the-planet-name-of-kepler-22-b-to-namekIf only naming planets was like naming extant and prehistoric animal species (Dracorex Hogwartsia was a thing, until they confirmed it was a sub-adult Pachycephalosaurus… and thank God) where the dude who finds it can name it whatever he wants.
Otherwise this is nonsense, even if that planet does look like Namek.

Yeah, it was by far one of the more interesting deviation from the movie and for Super in general even if it at limes felt like a nostalgia trip. Also given this event, I would imagine Gohan is going to come out of retirement permanently from now on. Either that or a devout pacifist. Also some good Piccolo moments.
Lastly, I've noticed that Super is making Jaco far less able or heroic than he was in Resurrection F. Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far he just took out one guy who approached as he was hiding behind that rock.
-
Dooooodge!!!
Awesome episode btw.
-
I realized in the movie there was a total of 7 senzu fans, They already used 6 and the 7th might be used on Gohan, means Piccolo is dead and Goku might die as well or he wont get cheap shotted by Sorbet?
-
Merry X-Mas to me! I picked up 33 volumes of Dragonball + Jaco and the first Daizenshuu for myself a couple of weeks ago and they just arrived this afternoon!
