Thor: Ragnarok sounds interesting now.
! Valkyrie and Enchantress would be interesting to see in a movie.

! The Thor and Hulk road trip. Well, they do have great chemistry together when they're pummeling each other's brains out or fighting a common enemy, but not so much with just talking. Bruce Banner and Tony Stark (the 2 scientists) do great together all around though. On the other hand Thor is always ready to put The Hulk back in check in case he loses himself. We'll see. Nothing has been confirmed anyway.

This news belongs in the TV thread but it's BREAKING enough that it should be put here, as it will inevitably have repercussions for the movies.
Because Marvel and Fox seemed to have buried the hatchet and are producing a Legion (son of Professor Xavier in the comics) TV series on The FX produced by Marvel, the people involved with the X-Men movies and the producers of Fargo, 2014's best TV show.

And another show about the Hellfire Club: http://marvel.com/news/tv/25282/fox_in_development_on_hellfire_working_title?linkId=17951885

Rumor has it that, this whole Legion and Hellfire Club deal, may, just may, have gotten Marvel Studios back the rights to the Fantastic Four in the process (and it's a 2020 movie):

Ughhhhhh….I can't stand rumors like that. Hopefully it ends up being true much like the Spiderman deal.
After all, Doctor Doom needs a good home in the MCU.
(Though Marvel would have to make a pretty damn good movie to make up for the nasty taste the F4 has left for movie goers).
-

Eh, they'd still find a way to make him underwhelming.

Eh, they'd still find a way to make him underwhelming.
Unlikely. Doom is a great villain, i'; sure they could do wonders with him….
-

Let's wait till we see Spider-Man before we decide on that.
-
Somehow the idea of another Fantastic Four movie turns me off but it's probably 5 years from now so I'll probably feel differently by then. God knows I could care less about the upcoming Spider-Man reboot but I am estatic for his appearance next to the Avengers.
-
sorry to disappoint but Marvel and Fox already denied the rumor
-
They also denied SPiderman at first.
They gave up something to get tv show rights. We'll find out what that is eventually… but it would make perfect sense for it to be something they've botched three times now that they can't really risk touching again for another 8-10 years, right before the contract expires anyway.
And even if its not the entire shebang, it could still be shared, like Spidey is. Honestly, the real value of the Fantastic Four isn't the heroes, but the villains. Galactus, Silver Surfer and Doom alone make it worth while.

Can Doom be done without the Fantastic Four? I've never read the comics aside from seeing them in some really old Spiderman crossover comics from the early 1900s, but it seems like Doom is sorta interconnected with the Fantastic Four. The rest I can see just being done to add to the whole cosmic side.
-
Doom can absolutely be done without the FF. He's a major force in the Marvel U.
Hes just usually strongly associated with the FF because that's where he started.
-
All I'm thinking of is Capcom's Marvel fighting game franchise. Dr. Doom has such a presence in the franchise, but not a single member of the main Fantastic Four family has been in any of the games.
Dr. Doom on his own is totally doable.
-
If the Marvel animated universe is another indication then yeah he can carry on without
Reed RichardsThe Fantastic Four. -
When it comes to Fantastic Four potentially going back to Marvel, you won't hear anything official about that until the Fantastic Four movie has been released on DVD for a while and made its money (or lack thereof). Like with Sony and Amazing Spider-Man 2, Fox is just going to keep claiming they're working on a sequel until they've wrung the last few pennies out of FF.
That said at this point I can't see Fantastic Four not going back, even Fox can't be that stubborn as to sit on a brand they've repeatedly failed with. And I also don't see there being a Marvel Studios Fantastic Four movie in the foreseeable future, we'll probably just see the characters related to the property slowly introduced into the cosmic movies, like in future Guardians and Nova movies, before they finally go that route.

Stuhlberg played one of my favorite characters as Arnold Rothstein on Boardwalk Empire.

Wonder if they'll take the hint?
-
Wonder if they'll take the hint?
Even to a billionaire 340 million is a lot of money.
-
So it made back its production budget, but I'm guessing not its marketing budget?
-
In the world of business making back your budget ≠ success. But I guess that's obvious to anyone who would think about it hard enough.
Still doesn't seem to stop the sequels though.
-
Yeah, but I was also guessing that marketing isn't put in the same budget as production, so they may not have even made their overall budget back.
-
A movie needs to make 2.5 to 3 times back its production budget to be profitable (not counting movies that rely heavily on merchandise).
-
And you forget theaters take about 1/3 of the money too.

Actor/martial artist Scott Adkins joins the cast of Doctor Strange:
http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/632941-scott-adkins-joins-marvels-doctor-strange#/slide/1Apparently people were thinking about him being cast as Iron Fist? If so, do you guys think Iron Fist could actually debut in the movie, THEN get his Netflix series?

Unlikely. With the Kevin Feige split, the tv and movie departments are now pretty much seperate. Outside of maybe a random cameo from a C stringer minor character on Shield for one episode, there isn't likely to be much crossover.

Super left field guess here, but….could he be a replacement for Wong?

Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller discuss Deadpool's sexuality. He is officially "pansexual."

Fuuuuck! This movie looks great! That last scene was so awesome!
-
My body is so fucking ready right now
-
Picking through the trailer again, I think I caught Cap chasing Black Panther through a parking garage. And Panther fighting Bucky. So yeah, Panther is pissed about something. My guess is that Bucky may have done something to/in Wakanda at some point.
-
It really looks promising. So James Rhodes is dying?
-
So was I.
I'm not ready for this.
-
Hell yeah! Show him Cap'n!

That got me good too. So far, based on this trailer I'm leaning team Iron Man. Which is a pretty big feat considering, you know, the source material.
