Once or twice per month? It is a net comic for young jump so it don't have a strict release such as weekly or monthly…chapters them self are between few pages long or +15 pages.
-
Its bi-weekly….......................
-
Alright, thanks.

And in some weeks you have chapters with great drawings … and 4 or 5 pages no more...:getlost:

How do you think guys will they make boros arc in remaining 4 episodes? Any chances of extending It's anime series?

I think they'll cover boros and that's it. Logical stopping point IMO
-
I think you guys are just underestimating what being a demon class means. Sea king is definitely only demon level, rain or no rain. For comparison, that Kombu Infinity monster was only a tiger level yet it stomped two A-ranks with no problem.
This.
I also think people overestimate the strength of S-class heroes since they´re the elite.
I can´t see some of them beating a strong Demon level monster. -
Pri Pri Prisioner, Zombie Man and maybe Genos(he was holding vs Rain Sea King, and he get's upgrades since then)most likely will struggle with demons, the rest of S seems to be really powerful, and only dragon will to give them real trouble as far as i see.
Only Engine Knight and Watchdog man are kind of a mystery as far as what they can do, and there is Blast which is still "vapor" at this point, but all other S class so far, showed to be really powerful, and Sweet Mask is up there as well.

I can´t see some of them beating a strong Demon level monster. They mentioned 'subjugation squad' in latest episode to deal with Sea King when Pri-Pri prisoner got rekt, most likely a team consisting +3-10 S-class heroes so its likely that Demon and higher threats are not even meant to be dealt with single S class heroes (besides some of the more stronger S-rank heroes such as Tatsumaki).
Wolf and Tiger threats can be dealt by groups of A and B class heroes, C class are more like peace keepers and deal with tiger threats and C-B class criminals. Some S ranks can arguably take out Dragon level monster alone but I think Heroes association wants to play safe when Dragon/Demon threat comes and send multiple S/A- ranks to avoid casualties.

! Its pretty much info dumped during the Monster Association Raid that a good amount of the S-Class Heroes are S-Class because they were able to beat Demon Level Monsters by themselves. This was prior to the making of S-Class and their appearance is what caused the Hero Association to redo the ranking system.
While a couple of the S-Class heroes I can see having trouble beating strong demons (Prisoner, Zombieman and possibly Tanktop Master), a good amount of them can handle them and can handle Dragon level monsters solo outside of some bad match ups.

I know Saitama's power is seen as a running gag but does anyone think there is a reason behind it that will be explained in detail sometime in the future? I remember it once being stated that Saitama lives in an abandoned part of the city and most monsters are actually born or appear near that area. That can't be a coincidence right?
I'm really curious as to how he got strong enough to beat the likes of Boros, who could literally destroy the planet, without breaking a sweat. Maybe I'm taking it more seriously than it's meant to be taken? haha.

One hundred push-ups, one hundred sit-ups, one hundred squats, and 10K running. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Honestly, any explanation beyond that would be a complete mistake on One's part.

For reals.
The most I would accept would we were told that his strength, speed and durability are infinite or something like that.
There's no need to explain the CAUSE of his power beyond what we got.

The squats were mentioned? i don't remember it. That was through three years, though.
-
! In ONE's version there's a character that theorizes about how Saitama got that strong. Even if that character is right, the fact that Saitama achieved it with simple training in 3 years is still a gag.

The pages with Metal Knight's missles were really great. Good chapter.

I sense next chapter will be like 10 pages of Metal Knight doing something.

! I really dislike what Is happening on that page that Murata is drawing on newest stream…
!
! Metal Bat was said by One to be strong enough to beat Dragon level monster and now Garou who is around as strong
! as Genos as hinted during their fight.. and Genos was getting torn by Dragon level enemies in seconds later on in series One spoiler ends.
! Sad that redrawn version is a bit inconsistent compared to
! Original, at least till now in this fight. -
Garou mentioned that Metal Bat seemed pretty fatigued and all his movements seemed slow. That's probably the only reason Garou can keep up with him.

Yes I know thats probably main reason but still.
Though guy beaten number of monsters in less than an hour and even went after Dragon Level that was unfazed by Metal Knight missles..
I just hope that Garou will get smacked really hard at least once and that it will push him far enough for fight not to continue till Garou beating Metal Bat.
! Though something had to beat MB in the end as he was not present during Monster Organization arc…

This feeling when new episode will be on horrible subs in 5 minutes,,,
-
Madhouse did justice with the LLR scene.
-
The art looks like crap when you pause it with this kind of style, but in motion, it's all top-class animation. So good.
Loved this episode.
-
The only bad shots I noticed was during the scene of Genos and Saitama reading the fan letters.
-
I hope they fix the Genox v Sea King Fight for the DVD/Bluray release, like they did with the Early Jojo episodes.
It really deserves better, given how both characters were completely off-model in most of that fight and it was actually hard to follow.
Great episode though. Also hope they maybe add 2 seconds of buildup to the seaking defeat, the cut to his belly exploding was a little jarring and anticlimactic.

A preview of next chapter
!
Punch to the Sea King was good to me.
Punch was so strong it stopped the rain.
-
I really enjoyed this episode. Despite being primarily a comedy/action show, imo the drama is very well done as well, some dialogues feel very natural to me, since the manga and the web comics i had that feeling.
I also liked the extra scenes with the other heroes, seeing Stinger, Lightining Max and Prisioner feeling down, makes you care about those characters as well, even if they are not major characters.
As we approach the end, i'm starting to miss this show already, by far my favorite anime/universe that appeared in the recent years(i know the comics have been going for a while).
-
! The Pri Pri Prisoner scene was to build up one of the scenes that will happen in the next arc, the scene with Mask watching the vid of Saitama 1 shotting the Sea King is also foreshadowing of what will happen in the manga/webcomic.

I'm guessing you are talking about the
! "Dark Angel Rush" he uses later on.
-
Yep, that one.
The current arc in the manga is very unpredictable, if S Class City is destroyed, the HA is gonna get even more heat from the people than when Beefcake destroyed cities.
As Neet Guy said, the HA make money from the donations of the citizens, why would they give more of their money to an "incompetent" organization?
The Elder Centipede has to go down, but I dont see Metal Knight doing it unless he has some kind of trumpcard.
I expect another S class hero to show up to save PineApple and Mohawk if those monsters are Demon level.

Um, it was meant to be that way. You can't count on blu rays here.
Sketchy, intentionally slightly off-model animation style is pretty accepted and widely used. It's a trade off between on model consistency and conveying a very specific sense of exaggerated velocity and impact. Even studio Ghibli employed that style in Princess Kaguya.
A more reserved variation of this is observed in episode 1, where Saitama fights 3 subterreneans on the freeway. That scene was animated by Yoshimichi Kameda of FMAB fame, who also happens to be the animation director (or was it episode director?) for this episode.
You may not personally enjoy it, but the fact of the matter is that there's nothing to "fix".
Personally I prefer the style of the rest episode and Kameda's own brand of sketchiness seen in ep.1 if I have to choose, but I actually think it was pretty dope, like Genos closing in on Sea King for a kick or right before he does machine gun blow.
-
Boy that was beautiful. Speacially Rider's theme at the end.
-
Oh and yeah, best episode yet.
They nailed Rider.
AND SAITAMA PUNCHED THE GODDAMN RAIN AWAY.

So, 3 part Boros and we are done?

We also get a six episode ova not too far from now.

Loved this episode.
And even then, the rest of the episode looked great either paused or unpaused.
Not that animation is meant to be viewed in still frames anyway. Reminds me how people used to shit on that one screen of Sasuke having his head twisted in an impossible way, except that was an in between shot that was almost invisible in motion.

That slightly sketchy off-model tradeoff you refer is, in my humble opinion, probably forced upon the studio as they don't have the money to animate all episodes the way they did in ep. 1.
It is intentional, but and it is a tradeoff between the sense of exaggerated velocity and model consistency, but one they only had to make because they lacked the funds to animate the scene better. That same velocity can be achieved with more frames, without losing the character models, if only more animators and more time is given to creating the scene. Here, it came down to making the best out of the scene with a limited budget, and that could be fixed in the bluray by touching up on the art in a few of those scenes and maybe adding a few frames here and there.
My personally, I found the worst offender to be the blow tradeoff between Deep Sea King and Genos when they go at it DBZ style. Their arms just looked like triangles, their features were drawn in an absolutely minimalistic way, and it was clearly due to deficiency in funds on madhouse's side, meaning the animators had to give less time to each frame.
But hey, i'm no animation expert, but we both agree that Kameda's animations in Ep.1 were better. We can also agree that more money was invested in the first ep to hype up the series. I see a link, you don't, fairplay.
I just hope the budget for the Boros fight is back to what it was in the first episodes. I need murata levels of art for that fight. I need it.
-
I disagree on it being an issue of budget. It is stylistic. It achieves certain things in that it it conveys in a specific, exaggerated way. That's where the trade off comes in.
The rest of the episode was full of incredibly fluid animation with on model art so I don't think budget was an issue here. If any episode was saving budget, it would be the previous one with copious amounts of still shots. Also, sequences like when Genos flies in for a kick are pretty Labour intensive,by their very nature, whether sketchier or detailed, since you have animate the entire background along with the characters. I really don't think we can dub that as corner cutting.
Again, I'm not saying you have to like it, less orthodox, stylised animation styles can be divisive. All I'm saying is that it's a feature, not a bug. Artistic license if you will.
As for Boros fight, I would personally like
on that. Because he da bes.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Now I LOVED how anime handled the punch, but don't you guys think that makes it harder to believe that public bought Saitama's lies or thought that the SK was simply weak? He punched away the rain.
I mean, Murata toned his first depiction down for a reason.
On the other hand... NOPE DON'T CARE! THAT WAS AWESOME AF!
-
Here's a conundrum: If Licenseless Rider stops to give King a lift on his bicycle, would it be Great Justice? Furthermore, if the King Engine is roaring, will LLR be stopped by the police for operating a motorbike without a license?
I never said it was a serious conundrum, did I?
On topic, maybe the public were too surprised to even notice that the rain had stopped.
-
Though I like the effect of the punch in the manga (Murata's), I think stopping the rain is better to make it more believable for the civilians to think that the SK just got weaker. If the civilians saw the force of the punch (like from the manga), they would just be too stupid to think that the SK just got weaker.
Also, the punch to the back of the head was funny. :D
-
The sketchy fight between Sea King and Genos kinda reminded me of the fights in Kill La Kill.
Preview of episode 10 says A-City gets destroyed and Boros shows up on Earth.
-
This is the one episode I have waiting for, and oh man did they nail everything, Licenseless Rider is beyond lovable. Also, they keep making great original scenes, Saitama and LR's little chat on the bike made me smile :) , Prisoner's was also neat. I wonder if ONE is the [one] telling the anime staff to add them, as with Murata's version.
-
They are really doing top notch work here.
Does anyone know how well the anime is doing, what are the ratings and so on.
I just cannot see this not becoming something of a hit
-
I've been constantly seeing OPM posts on imgur front page which is surprising since anime stuff tends to get downvoted to Hell. I've shown it to a few different friends who only sometimes watch anime and they are hooked.
