@kcity:
I had this translation in mind, where it seems more of an order to the guy behind him than a messenger that needs to inform his master:

But yeah, this is the mangapanda version that stuck with me, so you are probably right on this one
Anyway, day -1 would be Jack getting informed by his subordinate then:happy:
Actually, about that part, Cnet translated it differently.
This is the translation of Cnet:
People: "Joker" will have to make a move now…!!! // You'd better let "Jack" know about this… // Are you sure?! There's no telling what'll happen!! // This will be the work of the "alliance". Report it to the world…!! // This affair can no longer be contained within the underworld alone...!!!
Killer: ..................
@Maju:
she was on the bridge..only really one direction avaiable..the one towards the main island
You are likely right on this, Maju. I analyzed that panel closely, and I have confirmed that Jora was indeed running behind Law; however, as I have just said, she should have been caught in that battle because it was happening super fast, &Joker was pushing Law back to Dressrosa (toward Jora’s direction(assuming that’s where she went)). The direction could have been switched during their battle. For instance, Law’s back could have been facing Green Bit, but his back started facing Dressrosa during that battle. So far, things point out to Jora heading to Dressrosa. I agree with you.
@Maju:
that's exactly the reason why he never mde contact with kaido at all..if he explains that momonosuke is going to zou,he has to also explain how,thus mention the invasion.
anyway it's not really that important..if you think jack knew,think what you want,we will see (hopefully) in 2 weeks
I had somethings on my mind about why Joker could tell Kaido Momo’s location despite the reason I stated previously, but that’s baseless conjecture. Let’s leave it at this for the moment(Joker didn’t tell Kaido about Momo).
@Maju:
that doesn't make any sense..samurais are persons,even following your strange reasoning,nothing would be wrong in identify 3 of them as samurais,and then add momonosuke,the child traveling with them
as i said,english is not my mother language,but i'm pretty sure that "as well as" just means "and" in this phrase..3 samurai,plus momonosuke,four (persons) in total.
That’s what I am telling you, Maju. The word ‘total’ indicates the sum of addition, & in mathematics you cannot add things of different units together. It would be completely illogical. You have to convert to one common unit so that you can make the addition possible. But there is no conversion there because Kinemon is considering his son a ‘samurai’ as well. The units were all the same which made the addition possible. 3 samurai & Momonosuke(a samurai). 4(samurai) in total.
[Use this link](http:// http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-add-subtract-multiply-and-divide-with-units.html) to see what I am talking about@Maju:
Momo is a child..he can call himself what he wants,it's still a stretch than any adult would refer to him as a samurai..
Either that or he is telling the truth. Anyway, this how Momo was introduced to us:
! @Kaptayn:
What makes you certain he wouldn't ?
This is what
That's not Oda-sensei style of writing. If he had been writing like that, there would have been little (if any) mystery, & his thoughts would have been too predictable to us. If he had referred to Momo as the 'kid samurai', he might as well have said 'Momonosuke' because Momo is the only kid samurai that's being pursued.
@Kaptayn:
I do agree on the fact that there wouldn't have been any mystery… Maybe Oda decided to use the word samurai to confuse us, and thus, create mystery around who the-said samurai is. But again, I find it weird to design a kid as being a "samurai" ; this term puts him on the same level as Kanjuro, or Kinemon ; two grown-up warriors.
I read about samurai on Wikipedia. This is what it says:
“From childhood, the Samurai were trained to self-discipline and sense of duty, together with the contempt for material goods and for the fear, the refusal of the pain and especially death.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai
@Kaptayn:
I'd go with Maju's version ; to me, "as well as" implies that Momonosuke is not part of the group of the 3 samurai.
If Momo was part of that group, wouldn't Kinemon have said something like "Momonosuke inclued" ?
What chapter is this (so we could check it out on cnet or a Japanese version) ?
(but again, English isn't my native tongue so I may be wrong)
That’s how the author desired to write it, I guess In any case, it is from chapter 700.
@Jazzy:
People still think Momo is the samurai Jack's people were referring to? Come on man, it's obviously Raizou. It's OBVIOUSLY Raizou.
Come on, Jazzy, how is that obvious?
@Jazzy:
Just like it was obvious the Swirlyhats were on Zou back when people were claiming they landed on a different island. Also, that monkey with Kin and Kan is NOT Raizou.
Back then we didn't know what Zou looked like in order to make a comparison between it & where the Swirly Hats were. There was nothing obvious then
