! So Bill will possess Wendy since she works there and she's trusted
Gravity Falls
-
-
Excellent episode! So many funny gags and it moved the plot along. Trust No One indeed.
Preview for the next episode, Roadside Attraction, airing 09/21 (less than two weeks away).
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, a storyboard for an extended montage that occurred in the episode that had to be cut for time reasons.
!
-
I do like how Stan's brother didn't just swoop in and become the focus of attention.
He's just there, doing his thing, occasionally taking part in the plot
-
! So Bill will possess Wendy since she works there and she's trusted
! She's a good possibility though you can apparently spot possession through the eyes and Wendy acting odd would be easily noticed by the others. Plus she's aware of Bill now and not all that likely to make a deal with him.
! A better bet for Bill would be a person with less connection to the Pines but well known enough to them that they wouldn't raise suspicion if they came around the Mystery Shack and that is unaware of how dangerous Bill is. Add in the eyes and Sheriff Blubs seems like a good bet. -
Spooky -
Ooh. Thanks for.posting that! I was wondering how that grid was looking.
So according to that we got 6 episodes more?
-
I think I'm the only one who finds Candy cuter than Mabel.
-
She's close, that's for sure.
I think it's the BMO voice. -
This was in this past week's Rick and Morty (so was Alex Hirsh aparently)
-
I liked this one.
-
I would say that I'm surprised by the lack of talk about Roadside Attractions but it was a pretty meh episode; especially as a followup to The Last Mabelcorn.
I don't think I've ever just mentally tuned out during an episode of Gravity Falls before.
-
Yeah, episode was missing something but I don't know what
@End:CARLA MCCORKLE RETURNED ALL HIS FLOWERS, MARILYN DIVORCED HIM AFTER ONLY SIX HOURS, BEATRICE SLAPPED HIM FOR BEING A CAD, OLD GOLDIE’S THE BEST GIRLFRIEND STAN EVER HAD.
That's just depressing ;_;
-
I think this episode was just badly timed, release-wise.
Coming off the back of all the Bill exposition, people will understandably feel deflated to be taken on a sudden side adventure. As far as continuity is concerned, Alex said the events of this episode took place before the Northwest Mansion episode.
That's why there's no Ford, and why the gang went on a road trip "outside" of the shack.I do like that they gave Dipper an episode to clear out his lingering attachment to Wendy,
while also taking the opportunity to tease the CanDip shippers, which I thought was adorable while it lasted. But as I said, I think this episode would have been better suited to air straight after "Into The Bunker" or something.
The Wendy thing would have been dealt with in two convenient back to back episodes.
Overall I thought this episode was cute, and served its purpose. It just needed a much better air date.
Especially because it messes with the continuity of the episode order, which has been pretty neat and tidy until now. -
You know I was actually totally digging the Dipper X Candy ship
-
From yesterday, apparently.
And next episode is called "Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future"
Oh dear… -
Hmm… "off the rails" and "vs. The Future"...
I wonder if it means we'll be addressing Mabel's fears that the twins will end up falling apart like their Uncles?
In "A Tale Of Two Stans" Mabel first brought this up when they went to bed, and then in "Dungeons Dungeons & More Dungeons"
Dipper said part of the reason he loves hanging out with Ford is because he doesn't tease him like Mabel does.
Mabel said "you got me..." while looking a bit guilty. -
Cut scene from The Last Mabelcorn. It's the actual fight against the unicorns.

Why was Wendy sounding like a man?
-
Alex Hirsch was playing her.
-
Even though they weren't able to broadcast it,
I'm pleasantly surprised that a cartoon actually allowed a little girl protagonist to be punched in the face.
Like, woah. Also, I got myself a new sig because I'm hyped for the fruition of Bill's master plan.
-
Why did I find out about this so late?
It's AWESOME.
Totally awesome. -
Teaser's out. On my phone so I can't link it, but I will say a third season is looking highly unlikely.
-
-
So yeah…that episode.
! Show's ending. It's gotta be. Wonder if the final few episodes will be like a mini movie format a la The Last Airbender final four episodes.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
On the bright side, next episode is in two weeks, so the wait to see what's going to happen won't be long at all.
-
That episode was cray-cray…
I can't wait to see what happens next!
-
! It was sad and emotional to me. All that stuff between Mabel and Dipper, Ford not realising what's wrong in dividing twins and that he should be closer to his brother as well.
! And Bill of course. I'm interested in how'll they stop him :3 -
I kinda knew the show was out of production since Vid-Con. Pretty sure Alex Hirshe is currently working on the Duck Tales reboot. While I trust my friend, this is only speculation.
I also heard working on the show was hell, with a lot of people not enjoying their time. But then again, I heard Steven Universe was a dream come true, but recently a few board artist have fallen ille due to fatigue. So Iunno.
I'm excited to see how Gideon plays out from here, since he was last one to deal with Bill.

really? In a lot of interviews it sounds like he wanted to do something more adult for his next show and move away for children's entertainment.

The rumor was, Disney wanted me to stick around and asked him what he wanted, and he said he wanted Duck Tales. Only time will tell!
-
That's unfortunate, I was expecting a third season dealing with all the paranormal stuff coming out of the portal.
But on the bright side, it's much, much better to have a great show end early than have it dragged on and on until it's ruined. Or have it prematurely cancelled. Remind me never to watch two great cartoons that get cancelled in a row, it breaks your spirit.
-
..I feel so sorry for Mabel cuz she is to blame for the mess now D:
also, I think we can all symphatize with her about things having to end and you not wanting it.
Also, I was as excited as Mabel about my 13th Birthday. I was finally a teen!
-
I have a hard time blaming this on Mabel. She didn't know what that was , she had no way of knowing the full repercussions of handing it to "Blendin"
Speaking of, what was he doing here in the first place?
-
Before I realized what was inherently wrong with the notion, I was 100% behind Ford's suggestion for Dipper to stay and be his apprentice.
I thought it would be the show's window into season 3, but the problem didn't fully click with me until I realized Mabel wouldn't be staying too.So yeah, one week left of summer and bill's plan succeeding means the show must be ending.
Perfect length for it IMO. A start up season of goofiness, then a serious second season to ramp up the plot and go out with a bang. -
Quite a lot of continuity in this episode. That ending hype me up.
I felt really sorry for Mabel. Her day just keep getting worse. This is why you shouldn't keep secret from her, Dipper!
Ford really mess up that big time. Surprise he didn't realise how much Dipper meant for Mabel. He thought that Mabel will be fine. Just like how he thought Stan will be fine without him…That one ended badly.
I'm fine with the series ending at season 2. It's fun while it lasted. -
Horrifyingifand real. -
ugh, could someone type out what he's saying? I only get the beginning, the rest is too soft to hear for me.

"For one trillion years, I've been trapped in my own decaying dimension. Physical form? Don't mind if I do!"
-
ahh, thank you!
well, definitely makes sense

sry for the spamming, there's one more thing. A tumblr artist made her headcannon into a vid.
here the full post http://starfleetrambo.tumblr.com/post/115573904623/im-finally-done-took-me-a-whole-week-omg
pretty cool I think.
And here's another good one
-
My roomie and I just got into this series and have been watching it pretty steadily since. We just watched the episode where Dipper makes the Grow-Shrink beam out of that crystal and a flash light last night.
Honestly, I'm enjoying the heck out of this. I like the goofiness of it at times (Mabel <3) as well as how good the mysteries are (What's with the numbered books?!)
I know I'm way WAY Behind so I'm avoiding spoilers, but I can't wait to see where this goes.

I envy you. Experiencing all this show can bring for the first time…
-
Just finished Season 1 and HO-LEE-CRAPBASKETS!!!!
That was…. just.... OH WOW!
! (Altho, I called Stan having one of the books in the basement a while ago)
Sorry, I know I'm way behind all of you, so this seems stupid but… I have nowhere else to say this so.... just.... holy crap!
-
So new episode tonight. The show is definitely going all out with these next few episodes. This was bonkers.
Fun fact. Louis CK makes a guest appearance this episode. And we're apparently getting another great guest star in the near future. My guess is Jon Stewart since Hirsch always wanted him as a guest star.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
This clip from one of Hirsch's interviews became a lot funnier from the episode. Disney really let Hirsch have free reign.
-
Man, what a great episode! It felt much longer than it was.
Also, what happened to Pacifica's dad is probably the freakiest thing I've ever seen on a show for kids!
-

Ah! I thought that was him (the giant head with an arm sticking out of it)
And yeah, great episode. Just as chaotic and insane as anyone could hope for.
I only wish Stan got a bit more screen time, so here's hoping he'll get some in part two!
-
Wendy definitely won the night. Her line about death metal album covers hit at home for me.
-
Ok, update. Last I watched was the "Love God" Episode. Still enjoying the hell out of it, tho…. I'm REALLY Curious as to what's going on with Stan.... show just keeps getting better!

Almost caught up. Nice. Don't wanna spoil anything for you, so I'll just say it's cool you're enjoying it. There's still plenty to look forward ahead.
-
This is a kid show, right?
This episode was insanely awesome and chaoticly fun. Kinda feel like i was watching an episode of rick and morty.
Only downside about this episode is the talk no jutsu at the end. It happen too fast to be believable. -
I agree about the talk no jutsu. It was obvious that gideon would help them out in the end but the change over happened too fast. Gideon should've failed to stop them and then swapped sides when mabel is in trouble later.
Also the lack of Stan in this episode is really peculiar, especially if next episode is going to be all about the mabel bubble. This means we won't see him properly until the finale.
Also the madness bubbles and the alt. opening were amazing.
