@Foolio:
For some reason I feel like given the windup, range, and accuracy of the Splatling, it should kill faster. And the weird thing for me is that in-game lag hasn't been particularly awful compared to average (though some specific people lag to hell), but I've been having way more connectivity issues lately. Having to try multiple times when joining a match to get in without an error, and then the last two days in a row I got kicked out of the very first match.
Hahaha what a bizarre mashup. It sorta works though.
Was talking about this with Mugen earlier. The Gatl-ink Gun takes at least three hits to do what a .96 gal would do in 2, has as much range, but needs three seconds of super-loud windup. So, in that sense, it's already outperformed by that one weapon. Not to mention it's likely outranged by splat chargers, which seem to also need less charge time than the Gatl-ink.
My guess is that the weapon will be great in splat zone situations where you sneak up on a group in a heavily contested area and just rain death. But in other situations it will be super easy for squelchers and .96 gals to kill it faster, for other splattershots to reach you and kill you first (or run away), for carbon rollers and brushes to reach you and kill you, for rollers to flick you, and for splat chargers to snipe you. Oh yea, and for buckets to slosh you. At least, that's what it feels like given the super long charge up it requires for rate of fire and hit power and range that are outclassed by other weapons.
So of course I'm gonna use it lol
