Come on trilogy month!
:ninja:
Gonna post this here for reference if animal month is to win. nominations must be movies with real world animals (or based on real world animals for example Ducktales) and the animal must gbe a main character or a focal point (an example of focal point is the movie Mouse Trap where the mouse isn't a main character but is a important focal point)
Come on, if we're ever going to have a month about 1 actor why not let it be Robin Williams?

I agree with this so hard.
And I kinda screwed up because I voted both Nic Cage and Robin Williams but I didn't know Nic Cage would be doing so well, lol. Vote Robin and not Nic!!!
What's your fav Robin Williams movie, Outerspec?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
But seriously guys Outerspec's been nominating Robin for months, let's make it happen pleeeeeassseee o.o
Yeah guys, I've been nominating Robin Williams for months now and it's totally not the other way around with TLC nominating Nic Cage for months :ninja: So let's make Robin Williams Month HAPPEN!!!
Favorite Robin Williams Movie = The Hook Yours?

Favorite Robin Williams Movie = The Hook Yours?
Hook and then the nostalgic fantastic lovely Mrs. Doubtfire
^^Good choices, well, if Nic does win I'll take console in the fact I've been voting for him since the beginning

I've been nominating Nic Cage since we started Movie Nights ^^
It's the Cage's time to shine, VOTE FOR THE CAGE~~!!!
No love for Flubber ?

That was your inner Cage making you vote for him.
Well to be fair I do enjoy a good nick cage film.
I haven't seen these in years, but the most memorable ones to me were Gone in 60 Seconds and Face Off.
My favorite Nicholas Cage movies would be Face off and Lord of war.
For Williams it has to be Ms. Doubtfire.
My favorite Nic Cage film is 8MM. Other favorites include Matchstick Men, Bad Lieutenant and Vampire's Kiss.
It's a pity we never got a chance to have even one Robin Williams/Nicholas Cage movie so we could appease both TLC and Outerspec.

Edit: Woops, I thought it said combined movie month, two each :P But it looks like Nick Cage is gonna win anyway
I always felt Mrs. Doubtfire has aged kinda poorly.
Meanwhile, there's gems like Good Will Hunting, and I've never seen Dead Poet Society.
I always felt Mrs. Doubtfire has aged kinda poorly.
The whole "let's use crazy antics to make former deadbeat parent better role model"… doesn't sit well with me now indeed for some reason since I watched it 10+ years ago. Maybe it's something to do with One Hour Photo.
I saw Mrs. Doubtfire recently and liked it but there are some things about it don't sit well with me. Mostly that one scene where Pierce Brosnan is talking about settling down and becoming a father and loving this new family and Robin Williams got all mad and threw an orange at him and how it was framed indicated we were supposed to cheer him on and I was like…no, I don't wanna, Pierce Brosnan is being very sensible and cool right now.
Dead Poet's society I have a love hate thing going on. There are a lot of good moments but there are a lot of bad too. And sadly as enigmatic as Robin William's character was we never really get to know anything about him as a character.
I just wanted to cheer "Rufio" and watch Robin play the coolest board game in the world.
Favourite Robin Williams movie: The Fisher King
Favourite Nic Cage Movie: Raising Arizona

Well I just wanna see Nic Cage rip his face off and kill a guy over a stuffed rabbit! :(
Yeaaaah Mrs. Doubtfire is a weird one in that it didn't make Brosnan into a douchebag like it PROBABLY should've in order for the audience to sympathize with Williams. If anything, Brosnan seemed like a totally legit guy that made appropiate snide remarks about Williams being a loser (which he…was. There was enough evidence to suggest that). And Williams seemed more like the sore douchebag to the extent that he nearly killed Brosnan at the end. In retrospect, the movie is kinda weird now that I think about it.
Then again, maybe we weren't SUPPOSED to sympathize with Willaims? It's really not too clear what we're supposed to think about the guy.
The language of the film kinda made it seem like we were supposed to root for him. I really like the film, it's one of my favorite Robin Williams films, when I first heard of the concept, I thought it sounded awful but the movie executed it fantastically but…it has some problems regarding framing imo.
Con Air and National Treasure are pretty good Nic Cage movies but especially Lord of War.
If we're going for straight silly though I'm all for Drive Angry and The Wicker Man.
Wicker Man is a BAD choice imo, it has its hilarious moments but it is mostly boring. Drive Angry was fun insanity but strangely Nic Cage wasn't that hot in it and was being outcaged by William Fichtner and Billy Burke.
For great group watch Nic Cage films where Cage is over the top Cage, you should watch Vampire's Kiss (especially this where half his memes come from), Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans and Face Off.
I feel that way about the Ghost Rider movies. Sure, he pisses fire and has cgi abs but the movies are so bad they're not even funny. They're just bad.
Alternatively: Leaving Los Vegas 4 weeks in a row.

Oh I agree, those movies suck.

Alright, Nicolas Cage Month has finally won.
Nominations are now open.
@Galaxy:
Alright, Nicolas Cage Month has finally won.
Nominations are now open.
Might as well start with Raising Arizona.
Obligatory nomination of The Wicker Man.
Well, TLC may not like it, but I'd still like to see it. So I'll nominate Adaptation.
Nomming Wild At Heart, which is David Lynch's tamest movie but it's still decent.
I'll nominate Gone in 60 Seconds.

Great, and now I have nothing to nominate.
So I'll nominate Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance double feature.
I hope you're happy.
I'd like to nominate Con Air for the Nic Cage month.
WOOHOO NIC CAGE MONTH FINALLY WON!!!
There are so many things to nominate for Nic Cage but I'll go ahead and nominate a double feature of his most batshit entertaining performances.
Vampire's Kiss and Bat Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans.
No offense but shouldn't double features have a stronger case for being paired than "I want to nominate more than one thing that fits the category?"
Vampire's Kiss and Bad Lieutenant are by far his most drug addled insane over the top performances out of his long distinguished career. It's not even opinion, just watch youtube clips from either film, Cage is pinnacle over the top Cage in them. For an entertaining Nic Cage group watch, there are no two better films.
But if Galaxy won't allow it, I'll stick to Vampire's Kiss.
And that's only a taste :P
I think I'd rather they be actually related, yeah.
@Below:
I'd like to nominate Con Air for the Nic Cage month.
This was my second choice/double feature consideration, but I knew someone would be cool enough to nominate it on its own.
[hide][/hide]
If I can, I nominate Face off.
I nominate Deadfall.
Really tempted to nominate Raisinf Arizona as I love that movie but I've got a hankering for Kick-Ass instead so I nominate Kick-Ass.
As much as I feel like nominating The Family Man as a troll or something, I won't. Instead I'll take the opportunity to nominate something that's simultaneously easy to make fun of and based on a good Philip K. Dick story: Next. It helps that I've only seen it once, unlike most of the nominated stuff (and others I was considering like The Rock). Maybe I'll like the ending better this time if we get to watch it, XD.
