Actually, I haven't read Bleach either. Just watched the Anime. It got too bad to read the actual Manga. (Is the last arc good?)
Even in Naruto, I have only read the last part because the Chuunin fillers were getting annoying.I have recently started reading Dragon Ball but I am still at the beginning.

As I said, haven't read Dragon Ball. But even then, Uchiha Clan isn't known for it's parenting skills either. Actually, Ninjas as a whole are not good parents.
Neither are Sakura or Karin anything more than former teammates to Sasuke. Seems pretty similar to me.4 years as a father, died trying to save his son, stayed dead a year to protect earth, stuff happened, spent a year in space, 4 years father/trainer(counting white chamber), died seven years, 10 year father, rest unknown.
Ah, raising Sabo is fine. But doing the same for Luffy is a problem.
So, let's just throw him in a jungle in care of mountain bandits. That's much more safe.he wasn't gonna let the poor kid drown. Sabo probably decided to join by himself. He left his son with his grandfather.
"I miss you son. But I wanna have fun and adventures. So, suck it."
That's one of the most selfish reasons to leave your family I have ever read.Pretty sure he is a bad dad.
Sasuke must have told Sakura something. In the start of the series, Hohenheim seemed as much of a jerk father as Sasuke is now.
I would say Hohenheim was still a bad father at the end.
-
If I remember well, Hohenheim never claimed otherwise.
-

I know but since he was referring to the start of the series I wanted to say he was still a bad one at the end.
-

Started well for the first 30 chapters of it. It's about 100 chapters after that, and it has almost all been disappointing.
-
I actually like Salada character for now. This could change but as for now she is fine. I wonder what she is going to do about the photo. Probably talk to the hokage since Sasuke is his BFF.
-

Of course, he can't let the kid drown. But he can leave him at someone's place after that. Just like he left Luffy with Garp.
Actually, I never understood why Dragon left Luffy with Garp, but not Sabo. Maybe he is just too badass to talk to his father. And I am still not sure why people keep pointing out Garp while at the same time saying that Sakura is a bad parent for getting so angry that she beat the ground.
Garp was way more violent and dangerous to Luffy than Sakura will ever be to Sarada.
Not to mention that he left Luffy with a bunch of Mountain bandits who didn't even care about the kids enough to realize they have been messing with Pirates.I would say Hohenheim was still a bad father at the end.
I agree. The op was just pointing out how he had some kind of goal or reason which was revealed later. My point being that Sasuke will get some kind of reason too.
As of now, he is no different then Hohenheim was at the start of series. A Father who is away just because.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

That is more good than I had expected.
And I have heard there are Quincies in it (I love the whole pride thing they have going on). Seems like I should should give it a read after dragon ball. -

As of now, he is no different then Hohenheim was at the start of series. A Father who is away just because.Isn't it more beneficial to have a noble's child who might have potential to be raised in the revolutionary way?
Garp's violence was done with the fist of love and during training. Sakura lost her temper over a question she should have either been able to answer or sidestep. I think it was bad writing in trying to mingle a hint of emotion, a plot device and comedy. Honestly most of the ninjas in Natuto's generation would be the worst spies. All too flashy and too honest in one way or another.

Actually, I never understood why Dragon left Luffy with Garp, but not Sabo. Maybe he is just too badass to talk to his father. He left Luffy as a baby. Sabo had already chosen his path. Most likely he made the decision to join himself and Dragon accepted the decision.

Not to mention that he left Luffy with a bunch of Mountain bandits who didn't even care about the kids enough to realize they have been messing with Pirates.I don't know who points to Garp as a great parent. I merely said Dragon gave his son to his father. As for Garp skill as a parent I consider he sucks at it but he seemed to care enough about his grandson to visit them when he could and seems pretty busy in his job. Luffy only end up with the bandits for looking up to Shanks and Ace because he had to be hidden.
-

Are you really suggesting that Dragon is okay with keeping little kids in situations too dangerous for his own kid just because he thinks the kid will be useful for his own goals?
He left Luffy as a baby. Sabo had already chosen his path. Most likely he made the decision to join himself and Dragon accepted the decision.
You mean Sabo himself chose to leave his path as a free pirate and decided to fight for others' freedom instead? Maybe. Seems too important of a detail to have been left out.
But his past is not yet revealed. So, quite possible.I don't know who points to Garp as a great parent. I merely said Dragon gave his son to his father. Seems like I misunderstood you then. I agree with everything you said.

But his past is not yet revealed. So, quite possible.Seems to share Dragon's disgust for the way of the world. Just got bombed by world nobles and left everything behind. That seems like a decent guess to me. He could find becoming a pirate would be running away after what just happened to him.
Seems like I misunderstood you then. I agree with everything you said.
Good for us.
-
Sabo was already setting out on his own when he ship got hit. The keeping him from danger is kinda pointless. By that point after all the injustice Sabo saw it seems like he'd be more willing to devote his time spent to making sure others could be free one day too.
Sabo was not an infant when Dragon found him. And with how people in the OP universe constantly treat children that show some combative skill or drive I'm not surprised he'd take him on.
At any rate….This isstarting to get really off topic lol.
Sakura isn't the worst parent and comparing her to Garp is a bit difficult because their motivatioms aren't remotely similar.
The comparisons between shonen deadbeat/irresponsible dads works best.
-
Van Hohenheim not only deeply regrets having other responsibilities before the responsibility to his family, but gets constantly called out on his absence by his child. Arakawa has done a great job with this trope, so don't badmouth the old man, he has suffered enough.
And here is the preview of Oda x Kishimoto interview.
! If Oda is Son Goku, does that make Kishimoto Krillin?

This actually makes sense.
-
IIRC Yamucha also trained with Roshi
-
Kishimoto is too succesful to be Yamcha. He is no saiyan, but he is pretty well off as far as humans are concerned.
If anyone is a Yamcha, it is Takei Hiroyuki. His Shaman King alone has been cancelled twice already.
-
If Kishimoto was anyone he'd probably be Piccolo. Strong and an important rival to Goku who ended up as a bit of comic relief towards the end of the series.
-
Kame'sennin would be Wakata or Toriyama?
-
If Sakura wasn't such a horrible character I'd feel bad for her, but that was even funnier than the Toriko chapter
-
I'd say kishi is krillin. Oda did name him his firstone true rival.
Also, why was shikamaru being such a stick in the mud? Naruto is doing his work and playing with Burrito. He'd better have a clone as well with burrita doing a tea party. And switch around with the clones sometimes.
-
All that hard training just to end up pushing pencils all day. Surely there are people more suited for paperwork in the village of Konoha.
But, as long as Kishi has worked out the details of how Naruto maintains peace, it's all cool.
-
Talk no Jutsu is the only true key to world peace.
-
We just have to wait until the assholes spirit stalkers reincarnate again in burrito and salad, and we will get a whole new 700 chapters series with another eViL oRgAniZatiOn and a masked man down the line

I love the respect these two have for each other. Even though Oda's manga is clearly dominate (though you wouldn't think so from the global standpoint) he still has much praise for his fellow manganka and all the hard work he put into his series, and in turn Kishi has respect for the mangaka in the top of the field because he knows the hard work it took to get and stay there.
And as a reader I in turn have much respect for the both of them even though I don't enjoy Naruto as much as I used to.
-
-
-
Isn't the word supposed to be "dominant"?
No. Oda's manga is always in a present state of domination.

I wish I could tell you that One Piece fought the good fight, and that America and various other regions had it at the top of best sellers list instead of Naruto or Bleach etc.
I wish I could tell you that.
But our reality isn't it a fairytale world.

It might be…..don't know if many gave two damns about Fairy Tail.

US manga market is embarassingly tiny so at least quote something relevant like China, France or Taiwan.
One Piece
Japan: 320000000
The rest: 45000000
Total: 365000000Naruto
Japan: 135000000
The rest: 70000000
Total: 205000000By 2018, One Piece will have sold twice as much as Naruto. Even the globally popular runner-up is just half of a rival to it.
-
It might be…..don't know if many gave two damns about Fairy Tail.
I might've given half a damn, but two damns is a lot for Fairy Tail.
-

I would except I've never lived in China, France, or Taiwan:sad:.

So, no bastard salad chapter this week?

!
! Kishimoto makes it rhyme like it is pottery. But at least Naruto got himself a cute functioning family unlike certain someone.
-
So Naruto does take after his mother.
-
That top picture is actually pretty cute. The story might not have led to that point in a manner that made sense. But at least it wound up where it did in the long run.
-
Oh god, those chairs. We have similar chairs back at my parents, they're the WORST. I''m not sure we've had any good kitchen chairs since I was born, now that I think about it.
But the pic's pretty cute, like Cyclone mentioned. Unless the camera has a strange lens, they did a nice job on the perspective. Although what is that black thing with the white squares pattern behind Naruto?

Actually, one thing there that is kind of clever is the transition from newspaper to computer.
-
@Galaxy:
No, because it's Golden Week.
Awww… fuck I forgot, it's that time of year again :(
-
I'll admit it. Naruto's family breakfast is cute, and so is his daughter.
Actually, one thing there that is kind of clever is the transition from newspaper to computer.
How technologically advanced is the world of Naruto?
-
They are masters of eye operations, but they didn't invent guns.
I guess that without proper use of projectile weapons they injured their eyes a lot trowing glass and stuff. Like how burns treatment and skin grafting became a thing after WWII
-
If Naruto was a sitcom family show, Kakashi would be the guy who radomly pops up in the front door and the audience would randomly applaude and Guy the catchphrase guy.

Behold the only shotgun in the world created for that specific guy
-
Dat Schizo tech.
-
That's the guy who was supposed to invent guns, Killed by Zabuza to allow the swordmen of the mist to be relevant (lol)
-
When the equivalent to the military is already breathing fire controlling lightning and summoning throwing weapons that are decently powerful, the question becomes less why DIDN'T they invent guns and more why WOULD they invent guns.
