actually I think the crew is already too big..especially if you count all the "guests" every arc gets…
Well this IS a pirate crew. Crews have tens of members and deckhands at least. Odas keeping the crew small and meaningful so they can develop and we come to love and relate to them. Besides, that 10 needs to be reached. I want to believe Luffy's first words on that boat.

It sure gets harder and harder to fit them all in an arc and finding something for them to do.
So no wonder that some arcs are getting way longer than needed.
Also splitting the crew might be an appropiate method, we could see more frequently in the following years.
Focusing on just a few members each arc (beside Luffy) who get a decent character development seems to be the golden rule, especially when we have new characters each arc who need that even more in the beginning. -

A flashback perhaps? That is only 5 characters to focus on so they should have a concentrated more centered development. Maybe like a mini arc of like 10-20 chapters.
Also maybe the 3 eye girl is on the ship for next nakama. :unsure:

I personally don`t see more than one chapter flashback, but that depends how the situation ended.
They escaped, then they are on Zou and met the Heart-pirates.
They got captured then they are brought to the tea party. -

I would hate it if either Rebecah or Momonosuke joined though. Rebecah is just so whiny and ugg but Momo is whiny, ugg and irritating and lecherous and so very Scrappy Doo. No-one wants or likes the Scrappy doo.
I've thought of two potentials I would be interested in seeing as new Nakama (Discounting Jinbei as he is semi official) and those two characters would be Wicca or Mocha. I know I know Mocha is a kiddy character but unlike Momo she is much much much more likeable. She's tough emtoionally and somewhat Physically without being whiney and there is room for a cabin Girl in the crew. Wicca I just like. She's spunky and strong, very strong and her small size could be a massive advantage to the crew.

Great combo move indeed. I also like Wicca's character, she's really fun. But I don't think she's strong enough to be in the crew. And I don't mean physical strength, I mean overall level of power. Which is a shame, because having such a different crew member (in terms of physical appearance) would be really interesting for me.

If a dwarf were to join the crew I would want it to be Leo, he can take people down easily, he has a DF ability and he can potentially be the crews tailor.
Wicca isn't bad either though.

I'll argue about Jinbe if anyone wants, but for now I'll focus on Kinemon. I don't think he's Momonosuke's actual father. I think his real father is the emperor or shogun of Wano. I think Kinemon, Kanjuro and the other samurai are Momonosuke's bodyguards who are shepherding him away from Wano because there is either a coup going on, or a pirate invasion is taking place and has made it unsafe for Momonosuke to be there. There's enough weird scenes that imply Momonosuke is hiding something rather important about himself, and a few moments where he is away from Kinemon that he addresses him oddly. If nothing else, the two of them have a secret that they haven't exposed to the Strawhats despite everything Luffy's crew has done for them.
Remember in the flashback that showed Kanjuro being captured, Kanjuro emphasized that Kinemon focus on Momonosuke, to the point of self-sacrifice. Momonosuke's aversion to food until he sees Kinemon eat might be that he's had to be wary of poisoned food due to a life at court. Well, I'm stretching by this point. I'll move onto why I think Kinemon would work.
Kinemon fits into the Strawhats rather well. Although he'd be the third swordsman, consider: Zoro uses wind attacks, Brooke uses ice attacks, Kinemon uses fire attacks. Zoro uses a self created three sword style, Brooke uses a western influenced one sword style, Kinemon uses an eastern influenced two sword style. In a group shot, he looks good in contrast to Brooke. They are nearly the same height, but Kinemon is more colorful and expressive. He helps balance out the asymmetry that the Strawhats have, much like how Jinbe's wide frame balances with Franky's. He is a pervert like Sanji and Brooke, but it's a different kind. Brooke is a dirty old man, Sanji is a love sick white knight, Kinemon is a lecherous man pretending at chivalry.
Of course, there's also the Devil Fruit numbers theory, which Kinemon fits, assuming his power is the Fuku Fuku Fruit.

After Cavendishs interactions with Luffy Robin and now Law I feel he will join the SHs he feels like he owes Usopp and also what is a easier way of getting recognized then teaming up with Luffy on his crew? Robin I believe wants to help him learn how to control Hakuba and another swordsman could be useful plus he provides the perfect compliment to the other two swordsman Zoro who is a samurai type swordsmen and brook is a fencer Cabbage brings medival knight type swordsmen ship and also he would match up perfectly against the BB pirates doctor guy who is down and depressed on a dying horse well Cavendish is lively and has a stallion I know most assume Chopper will fight Doc Q? Despite different styles a Cavendish vs Doc Q battle would essentially be that of polar opposites Doc Q fighting for BB and evil and Cabbage for the SHs and good I really hope it is Cabbage he seems like a awesome fit and if he can learn to control Hakuba he would become deadly

Cavendish is a possibility but im more in for Barto he has to JOIN!! i dont think any samurai will join and if it has to be a girl let it be Viola, the problem is that she is a princess and they don't join pirate crews !!!

It's Barto's dream. So if he joins, it will be at the end of the serie.Until then, both will probably keep their dynamic as a comical duo within Luffy's alliance.

Agreed with everything here. To add to this, both Doflamingo and G-5 have called him a member of the Straw Hats and not some third-party ally like Brownbeard or all those others.

He just wants to be famous and get mentioned in the Newspapers again joining up with Luffy would do that quite a bit actually I don't see him having a problem being a member of Luffy's crew he fits in too he had chemistry with Robin already and is staying by to protect Law which is something I think Luffy will highly respect and if he asks Cabbage to Join I don't think he will be able to refuse tbqh…

Well Oda mentioned consecutive joining. So normally we get at least 2.
I kinda feels like the Straw hats become stereotypes of themselves so Oda can be sure to keep each of their fans interested rather than frustrated. So I'm not sure how more bad it could really get. Give him random quirk that stand out and 10 chapters for most people to fall for the newcomer.

I guess how awesome a character is varies from reader to reader. But Jinbei never stood out enough for me.
He can fight in water. So what? So can Sanji and Zoro. Brook can WALK ON WATER. The guy can materialize his soul. He can hypnotize people.

Unlike the majority here, I like Rebecca. She won't join because she is basically Nami 2.0. But I liked the character and it would be nice if people didn't keep blatantly bashing her.

In my opinion, among many things, people "bash" Rebecca because she is wanted potential incarnate. Female Gladiator set up destroy gende– wait, wait, nvm, she doesn't actually do anything. She's Vivi 2.0. She wishes she could be Nami 2.0.

Did you see her trying to get away with the treasure while Luffy fought Buggy? Or raiding the Black Cat ship while Luffy and Zoro faced Kuro's goons? Fighting was not her priority.

I do like Rebecca and I agree she sometimes gets too much hate. All I was saying that Nami being "stopped" or whatever wasn't that detrimental compared to Rebecca because a) was not a fighter, b) she essentially raised the money to free everyone on her own, despite Luffy/Zoro/Sanji/Usopp doing the hard work

BellamyDon't really see any of the others joining cause of prior engagements/circumstances Kyros is obv staying as is Rebecca since Kyros is her dad Don Chinjao and his family/happo navy will be apart of Luffys alliance/fleet not join etc.
I think theres a outside chance Senior Pink will join since him and Franky are homies now and if one of his crew members thinks very highly of someone Luffy will respect them
But if previous two seas are a indicator it will be
