I don't think Jolyne would be on board with the whole "Wipe the Joestar bloodline from existence" thing.
That was more like a side quest. I don´t think it was necessary for the plan at all.

thanks so much guys
Pucci did the universe a service by creating a universe where President Valentine took the wheel and brought an era of endless prosperity and love to America.
I know your question: Were his intentions so bad?
No. I still have the feeling that if he just offered Jolyne some tea and biscuits and they both talked it over, she could actually be on board with the whole "see the future" thing.
Emporio, which is supposed to be the "guardian" of Jolyne´s will, or whatever, gives a lame "You lost to fate. Walking the path of justice is true fate" explanation on why Pucci´s plans sucked, but I don´t buy it.
[hide]I had thought about that for a while, and thematically, Araki is definitely saying that what Pucci is wrong and naturally against the Joestar will. Sure he had good intentions at heart, he wanted his ideal world, but he is the "evil that does not know it is evil". Basically, the moral is that fate is something you decide. It's in your hands, for you to change and to create. Pucci is basically creating a prison, where we are bound to follow a fate that is already decided. Jolyne is trying to go against that, she wants to be free and decide what her fate, to change it for the better.
Maybe she never said that, but the idea is that while Pucci would accept his confinement in his prison, Jolyne wants to break it down and be (stone) free.
Basically, Pucci's character is that he doesn't want to blame himself for whatever he does. The whole flashback is him having good intentions, and trying to do what he feels is right and failing horribly. He then wonders why such a bad thing happened and his conclusion is that it wasn't his fault, it was fate. No matter what he could have done, it was meant to happen. Not on him. He then seeks Dio, who told him about gravity and whatnot. Then the master plan.[/hide]
Besides the whole "create your own destiny" theme for Jolyne, let's not forget that Pucci was also pretty freakin insane.
! My big disappointment with part 6 is how Pucci killed Jolyne and Pucci got beat by…Emporio. She should have been the one to beat him with Weather Report. Jesus, after everything she went through, she dies anyway? Though I guess Araki wanted to start fresh with the entire Joestar bloodline (yet Josuke and Giorno were still alive...)

That is one big spoiler for people that didnt read it yet.
Use a spoiler tag or somebody might even report you
Well a number of latest posts would have used a spoiler tags people.
If I wouldnt catch up to manga and wanted to share thoughts on new anime episode I would get pissed to see some of those spoilers for part 6.
Really, dude? Part six is like twelve years old. But fine.

That does not mean that every single person that gets to lurk or post here is up to date with chapters. Just saying..

I don't think SBRverse has anything to do with Ireneverse. I think it's just an entirely separate alternate universe.
I´m with Gliblord in this one.
I never saw SBR and JJL as the result of Pucci´s actions. It doesn´t even make much sense if one thinks a bit about it.
More like a reboot I guess.
Someone should somehow ask Araki himself about this.
I believe he once said part 4´s and part 8´s about Morioh that both were parallel worlds, not linked by time and space.
Pucci´s new universe Morioh´s is connected to Part 4 Morioh´s, at least in time, it´s a sequel of it.
Can the two ever find a point of connection? They can. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, probably used hundreds and hundreds of times.
Found a fandub of the season 2 opening and its pretty cash imo. (Which I find to be very good, btw)
Anyone here excited for this Friday's episode?
I for one am hyped, Blast Mariah's always been one of the funniest chapters in the entire series for me. Plus we finally get to see Josephs 2 best "OH MY GOD" moments, and the belt buckle misunderstanding animated.
On a side note, I won't deny that I'm also interested in seeing Mariah in general animated…..
Is that the one where Joseph and Avdol get stickied? I'm looking forward to that.

Although your logic makes sense, I doubt Araki is aware of that, so I wouldn't take that a definite proof.
Ok! Diavolo discussion time!
Alright, I know a lot of people here don't really like him; hate him even.
And just for the record, he isn't my favorite villain either.
But I must ask in his defense, I've heard that a lot of his personality is kinda lost in the translation of Part 5; is this true?
And regurding his backstory which many, even I myself, found confusing and unhelpful as all hell; I think I may have had a breakthrough with it. The more I think about it, the more I begin to ask if that was intentional; as if Diavolo insane as he is, can’t remember how his own past played out. And each possible interpretation only leads to more paranoia.
And for some good ol' fun, let's talk about King Crimson.
Tell me if I have it right. KC allows Diavolo to essentially become a universal editor. That being, for 10 seconds he "removes" himself from the timeline (his "world") and from a third person perspective can see all the possible outcomes(1) of the 10 seconds he has KC activated. KC then allows him to erase or "delete" the sections of time that he so chooses, and anything he doesn't "delete" he can avoid with foresight or use to his advantage. "Delete" meaning just that. It never happened; and thus no one remembers it. You can't remember something that you didn't do. When the 10 seconds of KC's activation is up, everything "smooshes" together at the end point of KC's activation. This applies to location; all things will be at the place that they would have been after 10 seconds.
(1):This is the one thing I'm a bit shaky on. I'm not sure if he sees/chooses all the possible outcomes within the 10 seconds or that he can only see/choose a single linear progression of events within the 10 seconds.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about in motion:
Imagine that Diavolo is to walk across a room, it'll take exactly 10 seconds to cross from end to end. And in this room there are a few things; a man with a gun by the door (ready to fire), a glass coffee table with steel legs, and a vase placed precariously on a pedestal that falls and breaks just as Diavolo opens the door. As soon as he walks into the room, Diavolo activates KC.
He can see everything that's going to happen, first he "deletes" the "time" that he would have been shot, then "deletes" the "time" walking across the room where he would have stubbed his toe , and then finally he "deletes" the "time" that the vase fell and broke. It is at this point that KC's 10 seconds ends. Diavolo is now at the other end of the room by the vase undamaged. The same place he would have been by the end of the 10 seconds. Now in place, he catches the vase mid-fall and puts it back up unbroken.

KC is just one of those things where you have to accept that no matter how you put it, it will be a strained and convoluted interpretation based upon very uncertain source material. Lets just leave it be and never discuss it… ever... ever again. Discussing KC gives me nightmares :ninja:

So basically.
Alright I guess.
Here, have some Fab Diavolo to make it better.
I found this to be the best explanation:
Random Part 6 Discussion: I am the only one who didn't liked any women in there? I mean it I know it was a prison, but all of they were just hard to look and yes I am counting Hermes, Jolyne and FF. In fact Araki just don't know how to draw female characters since Part 3. Erina, Lisa, Suzy Q and Mariah were the only ones who got my attention.
The 2nd OST that is not bundled with a bluray has been announced
It's name is Destination
Release Date: 4/22/15
No Tracklist or album cover until most likely March

Jolyne, Hermes, and F.F were hard to look at
Regarding Diavolo, once I read Vento Aureo he became the only character in JoJo that I downright hated. I actually liked Doppio, but Diavolo was simply awful in every possible way. Giorno was the only other character that I came close to disliking as much as Diavolo.
Then I reread Vento Aureo and, disregarding logic, not only I didn't hate Diavolo anymore, but he became my favorite Part5 character. Go figure.

(Not sure how well Donald's speech pattern translates out into text)
Also, is anyone here excited for Blast Mariha tonight?

Yeah, he reminds me a lot of Toriyama on that aspect.
…
I hate discussing KC.
I think everyone managed to get a grasp on how it works, but, if you try to make a strict definition of it´s powers, there will always be some use of it in the manga that escapes that definition.
I always saw it has something like "He slows down time only for himself, and he manages to see every course of action and make a decision on how he acts upon each action. After 10 secs or less (It has been stated that he can end it earlier), time resumes, and everyone else can´t remember what they did for 10 secs."
I know it´s totally different from what the official definition says, but that one is so flawed…
And yes, Bast will be cool. A lot because it will be another Joseph fight, which makes me sad, because he barely has any.
I wouldn´t mind at all if we saw some kind of fight between a lot of vampires and Joseph combining PH and Ripple to beat them. I think that could make a cool "episode" in Stardust Crusaders.

You don´t think Lucy Steel is well drawn?
Resist! Resist!
Seems like they had fun with this episode.

Nope. ..In fact, I think she is empty as a character.

Oh please, everybody knows that Mariah's best feature its her legs.
Lucy Steel and her relation to Stephen is A-grade writing.
She also earns the respect of President Valentine, therefore earning my respect.

I agree with you whole heartedly on the glory that is Mariah's legs.
Not so much with Lucy Steel being "empty".
For me, Lucy Steel is pretty much a robot.
Oh god, my sides are in orbit. 11/10 episode.
I've been waiting for this episode since they started airing this show. Can't wait to watch it
OMG I laughed so much that I cried! I have been waiting for this part for so long! It was totally worth it. Funniest episode so far!
Jesus I don't remember those being that big in the manga.
It's actually quite faithful to the manga:

Off to read!
! Huh, so a "tornado stand" eh? Cool. Obviously it's powered by "breath", which is really kind of a pain if you're actively trying not to get ripped to shreds by it. Though I have to wonder, is it powered solely by "breath" or any other source of "wind"? Guess if the next following chapters still focus on Yasuho we'll get to see.
! Now again begins the game of wondering what the name of the stand is going to be. Place your bets everyone!
Oh my, it really is Whammu!
a much more paranoid whamu. Doki Doki Doki Doki Doki
Now again begins the game of wondering what the name of the stand is going to be. Place your bets everyone!
Provided we stick with the rock-men/rock-in-stand-name pattern, my money is on
! 『Rock You Like an Hurricane』

! Rolling Stones
Seems straightforward enough

Wasn't that already the name of the stand in that weird flashback thing at the end of vento aureo?
