It's a shame that Pica gets killed before his intro in the anime.
He hasn't been killed yet

Zoro's fight with Ohm itself was pretty weak. Even though the Ordeal of Iron all in all was pretty well executed.

Lol I didnt even think about that
Zoro Pica thing should haven ended 21 chapters ago, When Pica had a little bit of credibility left.
Honestly, what was even the point of Pica's big katana?
It's as if Oda wanted to make this a swordfight, but changed his mind…

He would have ended with even less credibility, being defeated shortly after his official introduction.
disappointment disappointment no mi
Mr. 1, Ohm and Ryuma all got one-shotted actually.
In this regard, Pica is actually doing better.
True but look at this:
Machvise
Dellinger
Jola (once with Brook) I dont remember if the dwarves one shotted her or not lol
Sugar (this is worst. She was basically just scared lol)
Lao G (he was fighting Chinjao but Sai only hit him once)
Buffalo (i forgot about this guy lol. Unless he showed up again after Kyros broke his neck)
Diamante (i could be wrong, but I only remember Kyros only being able to land 1 hit which was the ko one. Or you can say Scarlet one shotted him lol
From what I can remember, all these guys were one shotted. By one shotted, I mean that only 1 attack beat them , while also barely being damaged themselves. I dont remember the giant really damaging Machvise until his ko move. Again I may be wrong. If you guys have scans proving otherwise I would love to see them.

Does Hakuba(sp) not count?
@Farsighted:
You never know with Oda on whom he'll redeem or at least show why they're like that, besides I could be wrong about Pica getting a flashback or right about Pica getting a mini one at best. It's hard to say that We're not getting a flashback for anyone in the arc when there are a lot of flashbacks in this arc.
If I were to take a guess at what Pica's flashback will be, it'll probably be something along the lines of him getting ridiculed for his high-pitched voice and eventually meeting Doflamingo and the family where he finds acceptance for who he is. In this chapter he showed a great degree of devotion to Doflamingo (which AFAIK wasn't shown by any Doflamingo crewmate) by announcing that only Doflamingo himself is enough for the position of the king, and immediately goes after King Riku thereafter to kill him. The aforementioned flashback should be able to explain Pica's devotion.
Honestly, what was even the point of Pica's big katana?
It's as if Oda wanted to make this a swordfight, but changed his mind…
Half of this arc feels like Oda changing his mind on stuff.
This forum is quite incredible…I don't even know where to start...
I'd try the other manga section tbh. More people are sensible there and agree on things.
I'd say this was a fairly good chapter as a set up for the conclusion of Zoro vs Pica.
At first I wasn't too thrilled with Diamante hitting his head on a wooden post and getting knocked out thus meaning he is down for good but after it was shown that it was the grave marker for Scarlet, I was more accepting that it ended like that.
Robin got injured while making sure that Rebecca stayed protected so I guess she's out of the running for getting to battle one on one. Not that I really had much hope that she would get the chance, but still it could have been cool if she got to play a bigger part in this combat wise. Oh well.
I liked that Sai saved Baby5. It was just nice, is all.
I really hope that Robin's injury is just a heroic mark type of thing and not an injury meant to take her out of any future fights.
Can't wait for Zoro to do one huge badass slash. Pica is getting kinda boring by now. I hope we move to the main event soon. Also I am quite curious to hear from Sanji and the others

LOL I had this feeling several times aswell.

Didn't he admit that he had ideas coming one after another?

I have been waiting for this flashback since I first read that Pica had a high-pitched voice and laughing was not allowed. Really looking forward for it.
I liked the chapter alright.
Until I see Diamante up again, I'm just gonna assume that he broke his neck on Scarlet's grave.
Zoro finishing of Pica ought to be a nice sight to behold. We'll probably see something of at least Asura caliber next week.

I'm not really expecting a flashback myself, but it would be great if there is one.

But we all agreed on things this place would be pretty boring.
The chapter in one panel
!
Coincidence?
Am I the only one that think that pica should "pick up" his sword in stone version, turn around and try to slash zoro, but getting slashed instead, would be cool.
I think that a fight between the full DonFamily(with Monet and Vergo) vs the StrawHats alone, the Family would win.
They're not sucking that much, I mean, the brand new commander of the Happu Navy, two supernovas, this legendary gladiator, three pirates of the worst gen, plus Tontatta army, Hajrudin, Chinjao and Elizabello, that's definitely more than they can actually handle.
The chapter in one panel
Zoro losing cred.
That said, I'm still disappointed that Rebecca didn't get to prove that she's stronger now - it's annoying because that's what her motivation initially was - she didn't want to be protected anymore, but now this fight ended up being about Kyros' desire to protect his loved ones. Diamante also really isn't that interesting of a character compared to most of the other executives. That said, the arc's still not over yet and there still might be a chance for Rebecca to do something. Same for Robin getting a full fight. Robin's injured, but I can see her powering through it. If anything, it would make for a extra awesome possible match against Trebol because she is injured - I'm still really happy with Robin this arc. It's been a long while since she's gotten to do so much and have these cool moments.
^ I totally feel the same way (at least for Robin anyway).
Luffy makes friends easilly.
And it's not like they need to be besties for Luffy to try to save his life. Seeing how Dofla treated him probably helped.
Anyways, I think it's more mutual respect than friendship, since they both have grounds for that.
Exactly. Their conversation in the Coliseum was all about Bellamy stating how wrong he was about Luffy and that he wouldn't insult his dream again since he clearly has a dream of his own. You could clearly tell he respects Luffy now at least as a rival and has no ill will towards him.
Well, well…finally Zoro ready to rumble...actually I'm quite worried by the fact that Bellamy is still "considered" around, I really hope that he dies sacrifying himself for Luffy or someone, 'cause I've really had enough of him and his ass constanty being kicked by anyone...
MAN!! This chapter is crazy. Thanks for the trans Aohige!
I Hope Zoro slices this bastard in half!
I love the deciption of Pika's DF usage
as far as art goes, some of the moments involving Golem Pika are Dressrosas best
especially the last page is fantastic

yeah art wise its pretty damn cool.
I'm not really expecting a flashback myself, but it would be great if there is one.
I guess this arc is already getting too long but I expected flashbacks for at least the executives. Diamante got a lot of small flashbacks. Since Zoro's major opponents have almost always been redeemed, I am all but sure there will be a flashback for Pica as well.
@uniaka:
Admiral is the strongest weapon of the marines, they only have 3. I don't count Akainu here since I don't think FA takes part of the action, at least not as much as the admirals.
1 admiral should be more then enough to handle 1 pirate crew that is not yonkou, or else marines would never stand a chance with all the pirates out there if they would need 2 out of 3 admirals just for Doflamingo pirates.
ppl seem to underestimate doflamingo for no particular reason other than him not being an admiral or a yonko !
and you're assuming (also for no reason) that all the non-yonko pirate crews can be handled easily by one admiral
i wonder how you guys would react on luffy (and presumably another supernova) taking out a yonko in a couple of days one piece time
Man I wouldn't wanna mess with Slangstream's staff. Those guys are real tough yo
O what is this i'm hearing: power ranking talk? I thought AP Forum members hated power talk. I guess i'm damm too late to join in the fun. Ah but if you want Sabinis, I can teach you one or two things about power level talks. And I don't think DD is where you put him at.

This is why people need to stop complaining about how the Doflamingo pirates are getting beat.

I enjoy Giant Pica's panels… Epic in scale.

There's no reason to see flashbacks for the top executives since those are reserved for more sympathetic characters. There's quite literally been nothing redeeming about any of the current seats.
If you really want a flashback we might get some more Doflamingo with appearances by the seats. Maybe.
One Piece chapter 777 "special project", it's a crossword. Maybe Greg can give us more information

A Crossword huh?
Meh.
How the hell is possible that in the first panel, Kyros's in his human form, telling Riku that he coudnt save Scarleto-sama
After this arc I never want to see DD or crew for a very long time.

Greg seems as clueless as we are ;)

Meh.
Complete guess but there's a postal code for Tokyo in the bottom part so I'm guessing if you can figure out the keyword and mail it to the address you can get a mug of some sort? (or whatever is this)

That's just one soldier of the Riku Army.
I haven't really been around this forum consistently for a very long time (Marineford/time-skip times) so its really interesting to see that a lot of the popular arguments around here regard criticisms that I would have never thought about. There seems to be a lot of opinion assimilation here, most likely derived from chapters not living up to the brainstorming romanticism which is speculation. Oda may be a great storyteller, but nobody can compete with thousands of different minds collaborating a fact checking on a weekly basis.
No, Robin did not lend Kyros a leg, but that disappointment wouldn't have stung so hard for some members if they were reading it individually in trade format or weren't prompted the idea from another clever member and got their hopes up.The same idea rings true with fight predictions. Oda is pretty synonymous with short fights and I've enjoyed most of the one-shot spotlight chapters. Personally, I think that the only person who didn't live up to expectation was Dellinger. Gladious, Señor Pink and Sugar were two characters that I thought got some interesting fights which didn't feel either rushed or stretched out too far.
Bottom line is: I've enjoyed this arc, it's given me the same feeling as Saboady did back when it was coming out, and I didn't expect to see so much hate for it on the forum.
If we talk about this arc. Here is my exaggerated opinion.
