! The outcome was predictable, but enjoyable. Baatar Jr. really thought Kuvira, who's mad with power, would give up and go home just for him? HAHAHA! Naive fool. I bet those words he said to his mom will taste awful when he's forced to eat them.

Zaheer's story arc pretty much has to come before Kuvira's though because of how much his actions destabilized the world.
Oh they'd have to change story beats sure, but i still think it would have better flow
-
Having seen the latest episode, I'm feeling weirdly ambivalent towards this season. I started out really enjoying it, but now towards the end, I find myself losing interest. The pace just seems to have slowed down quite a bit, and action beats given way for more dialogue. Don't get me wrong, I love chances for characters to interact and display their personalities, but a lot of the time the dialogue comes off as kinda expository and…filler-ish? to me. Even a scene like Korra and Co. flying out and discovering the mech was kinda superflouous, in that it didn't really affect anything. I mean, we'd already gotten the "Oh Crap!" mech reveal when it shot the outpost.
I don't know if its budget restraints or whatever, but this seasons (lack of) momentum just doesn't keep me as invested as before. I do still find Kuvira more entertaining than Zaheer (so shes the second best Korra villain), and I appreciate that the season is more cohesive and focused, as opposed to S3 which I felt was kinda disjointed.
-
Yeah, I must admit, while I don't think this season is flat-out bad or anything, it does feel rather underwhelming for a final season. Like, I just suddenly remembered last night that, oh yeah, there are only two episodes left… Two episodes that, if I'm not mistaken, will be shown back-to-back meaning that the show is ending this week, and really… I'm not quite feeling it. And I find myself dreading a deus ex machina ending again, despite how the last season finally managed to avert that all-too-common trope...
I mean it's still been fairly good, certainly far better than the second season, but I can't say I've been enjoying this as much as season 3. -
The thing is that season 3 was a kiss by the love of your life. Season 4 is an amazing cakepop. Sweet, yes, amazing, yes, fulfilling, with a spongy and tender center and it looks so cute!
But, season 3 man…
-
I still have no idea what people see in Kuvira. Amon was a pretty okay villain, Zaheer was the best and Kuvira is just… standing there? We've seen her fight two times and don't give me this crap about talks and how adult the show suddenly is. We're having freakin' robots and people using magic - of course there should be more interactions with the big baddie and it should be something else than "I show you my evil smile".
-
She's interesting because, up until now, she wasn't obviously blatantly outright evil. She had a legitimate point and was doing a good thing in a bad way.
One she unveiled the giant spirit canon mecha of death, well, yeah, she's steered right into crazy territory.
Season 2's villain was similarly nuanced in the "Doing the right thing but ignoring the consequences because he's too tunnel visioned…" up until he was framing his brother, intentionally tricking Korra, and obviously evil for the sake of evil by like the fourth episode and then surplanted by an actual literal spirit of evil.

Hahaha. Great stuff.
Also, since I've been one of the many saying that the bending hasn't been as impressive in LoK, I will say they really brought their A game in the finale. Yes, it's the finale, so they rightfully should have, but there were a lot of great bending moments. And not just by Korra either.

Fucking incredible finale to Nickelodeon.
-
Yup. That was good.
Took away two things from that.
-Varrick was the best character and the writers knew it (with a side of Bolin)
-They finally figured out how to make shipping work, with an organically grown relationship based on personalities and history that actually makes sense.Great ending. No rushed deus ex machina, plenty of time to actually show closure on the cast, (including the prince who was super annoying at the start of the season) and a more grown up anime style ending with lots of pretty colors and great action and character stuff. (And they spent like 10 minutes on their closure wrap up… rather than their usual rushed 30 seconds.) Well done team, well done.
Also, telling that Mako was completely absent in the next to last episode... but he got some good bits at the end
Fucking incredible finale to Nickelodeon.
Pretty much. Nice that the channel is shutting down after that and no one will ever see anything else from them again.
Fandom moves fast.
! Lotsa Korrasami going round. And yes, that's apparently it's name.

! Also, it was also the ending of the game Journey. It totally was.! Korrasami has been going around since the beginning (you know why) but starting in season 3 with the way they acted around each other people started thinking that it would build to a legitimate relationship, which it looks like it did
-
Oh I have no doubt it's been around. I rooted for it myself since start of the season. Just didn't expect it to actually go there.
!
! Also, apparently the song playing at the end while Korra and Asami were walking to the spirit portal is , “The Avatar’s Love.” -
That was more than everything I wanted it to be from start to finish. Everyone here has pretty much said everything I wanted to so i've got nothing new to add besides my appreciation. I really enjoyed this series.
-
…and that kids, is How I Met Your Mother.
-
! Also, apparently the song playing at the end while Korra and Asami were walking to the spirit portal is , “The Avatar’s Love.”
!
! Perhaps a similarly titled track in Korra, but I haven't seen any tracks, and it doesn't seem to be the posted track, so idk about that
! That said it would obviously cement it beyond any people in denial. -
And while the last couple minutes is clearly where all the discussion is, this bit got me too.
!
-
! When the scene with Korra and Mako was on I was so afraid that something might happen. But then everything just got better by the second.
! And yes, Bolin, Mako is totally awesome. If you say so. He could stand to be awesome in a more consistent fashion though. -
! I hope punching holes through reality stops being a thing with Korra.
! Also, I get that Raiko makes the trains go on time (Except when a mecha breaks the rails) but Republic city being the shinning beacon of democracy.. Well it is of progress.
! I teared up in both Miyasaki's sacrifice and Varik's proposal. Also in Melo's plan making sense.
! They should have put more Korra splashing inefectively against the Jet Alone, it seemed like she could have been doing more before her father in law to be got squished.
Excelent ending though. Could have used more Bolin. What else can I say? The fandom just imploded.

Is metal Emo boy the youngest of the beifong clan or it is Opal? How old Ikki actualy is?
--- Update From New Post Merge ---

-
! Loved it, the only complaint I have is that there wasn't enough Bolin, but I guess he didn't need much screen time as he'd already patched things up with Opal.
! Korrasami is legit and developed very organically, this is probably as far as Nickelodeon dared to go with a same sex relationship but it was lovely. For a second there when Mako and Korra were talking at the end I was afraid they'd get back together which would have been horrible writing at that point. -
The guy who scored the music posted the ending music
-
! I was actually kind of annoyed how seriously Korrasami shippers were taking it but now I'm starting to think that they were onto something after all…
-
Also, it should be pointed out that Meelo was actually funny instead of obnoxious for the first time in the series.

That's what they used to power the hummingbird mechs.

Predictably, I'm seeing a lot of conflicting opinions on the Korrasami thing around the internet. Also predictably, it seems to be the main thing anyone is taking out of this episode, even though the rest of it was also really good stuff.
For the record I am perfectly fine with it, but then on this forum that seems to be the consensus anyway.
-
Is metal Emo boy the youngest of the beifong clan or it is Opal? How old Ikki actualy is?
He's the second oldest after Bataar Jr. and Opal is the middle child (third). Wing and Wei are the youngest and Ikki is 11.
-
They actually went and did it… :D
Well played, Mike and Bryan (especially since it makes sense). The show had its ups and downs, but it was still enjoyable overall, especially the finale.
