I don't buy characters being left out of Avengers 3. They have been building to that movie since the first Thor. I could buy some characters dying, but being completely left out no.

Rumors that Captain America and Thor (maybe Black Widow) might not be in Avengers 3:
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Avengers-3-May-Leave-Out-Your-Favorite-Characters-67536.htmlOkay, Thor and Black Widow I could understand, but Cap!?
Sounds like a load of crap. Chris Hemsworth is signed on for 6 movies, as is Chris evans

So, Marvel is allegedly cancelling the Fantastic Four comic line in order to spite Fox's upcoming movie
http://badassdigest.com/2014/10/06/fox-needs-to-show-us-the-fantastic-four-costumes-asap/
Whatever happened to that thing anyway

Apparently, serious talks are happening right now for Iron Man 4.
Also, in a Reddit AMA, RDJ gave a cryptic comment that basically hinted that more "Sooner than later" Marvel will clarify their entire upcoming roster.
-
If Robert doesn't star in Iron Man 4 who would take over? Don Cheadle? Likable character but I'm just not seeing him as THE Iron Man. If there was another Iron Man movie I can't see anyone else but Robert in the lead.
Unless they did a…timeskip and we get a younger Iron Man.

http://www.superherohype.com/news/317677-robert-downey-jr-confirms-iron-man-4-is-on-the-way
If that's not confirmation I don't know what is.
-
Considering that he was the biggest reason Iron Man 4 wasn't happening, I think that's a solid confirmation.
-
And then he goes and does this….
http://www.superherohype.com/news/317715-robert-downey-jr-now-says-there-are-no-plans-for-iron-man-4
looks like we have to wait for New York Comic Con.
-
I love it. People are impatient and hounding the poor guy. Heck, Avengers 2 isn't out yet and people are going on about rumors for the third one. Please screw around with the public. All the speculation is ridiculous. I'm taking a back seat and laughing about the whole thing as sites contradict things with every interview, retract stories, etc. It's great.
-
To be fair, it seems we've got more build-up to Avengers 3(Thanos) than Avengers 2.
-
I think RDJ is just sitting there giggling while trolling people with this lol xD
-
I want RDJ to screw around even further by saying he's casted for Dr. Strange, as part of that "other" Marvel movie he said he's going to be a part of.
-
Yeah, he trolls all the time.

I knew it was too good to be true . . . . .

We have, which is kind of a bad move on Marvel's part.
Once they made the decision to push Thanos to 3, I think they should have delayed Guardians and had it be the first film of phase 3. As it is now, it's going to be really weird going from Guardians to Ultron, unlike Phase 1 were Captain America lead into The Avengers.
-
Yeah, he trolls all the time.
RDJ for the next Doctor!!!
-
Are people really that eager to see him in another Iron man? I mean I actually enjoyed 3 which doesn't seem to be the case for a significant amount of people and yet I don't think I want another Iron Man. But not sure hard to talk about movies that don't exist cause maybe I want another IM and I just don't know it yet. But in any case I'd much rather see him maybe doing the first duo movies for marvel. Hulk and Iron Man seems to be the most obvious one, that said the draw here would be probably more the Banner/Stark banter than the actual action scenes.

Interplanetary Attacking Unusal team, gotta love that title for Guardians of the Galaxy in China. …

So will Iron Man fight the real, real Mandarin? Or will that more likely be relegated to a TV spin-off?
-
Iron Man and the Mandarin Orange are actually going to team up and teach kids about the importance of Vitamin C in a nationwide After School Special.
Sponsored by Sunny Delight.
-
How about Iron Man fights Fing Fang Foom or MODOK? :ninja:
-
A Giant Space Dragon and a guy with an enlarged head in a hover chair who enjoys conquest…...nahhhhh.
-

Andy serksis was supposed to be in the avengers trailer with a really large beard, he's a pretty good actor too, despite mostly doing CGI characters (which he's fucking awesome at), many people suspect that character is the mandrin, which would be awesome choice since if the hulk joined iron man 4 andy could play both the mandrin and do the hulks voice
anyone think it's funny they decided to make tony stark and banner good friends in the movies despite the fact they absolutely hate each other in the comics (although banner is waaaay more of an asshole in the comics)

Could work?
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/guardians-galaxy-animated-tv-series-739981I assume its gonna be part of the Ultimate Spider Man/Avengers Assemble/Agents of S.M.A.S.H right? Maybe It'll all build to the Infinity Gauntlet finale as the story is playing out atm in Avengers…
-
Eh, it could work. It all depends on the writing. Just please don't make it CGI.

CG would be preferable to the cheap looking animation that's being used in AA and AOS. But given how they'll want this to tie in with the other animated series they obviously won't be going that route.
Test footage by the way
And Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin in "Man Of Fear" why, why not?

Not really a movie, but it's Marvel all the same, so…
A few images of upcoming Daredevil series.!

So, some pretty exciting rumors are coming out of Hollywood with regards to the MCU.
Apparently, multiple reports are saying that Sony is scrambling to try to fix the Spiderman franchise in the wake of Amazing Spiderman 2's Disappointment, and apparently, one of the things they're discussing is merging Spiderman into the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
In this scenario, Sony wouldn't give the rights back to Marvel wholesale. They would still own Spidey and be doing the solo Spidey films on their own. What this apparently means is that Marvel will be involved more in production of future Spiderman movies, continuity drops and Easter eggs can be made that reference the two universes being one in the same, and HOPEFULLY, if this all pans out, Spiderman can join the Avengers.More rumblings are happening where it looks like more might get done with the franchise to try to fix it as well.
It's a longish article, so I'll sum up here:- Sony is looking to possibly do a Soft-Reboot of the series a la Marvel's The Incredible Hulk where any further movies will star an already established Spiderman in stories that don't specifically contradict the ASM movies, but don't pick up any of the storylines set up there either (Like the Green Goblin, Rhino, Gwen stuff)
- This may involve a recasting of Spidey (boo, only thing here I don't like)
-The upcoming "Sinister Six" movie Sony has planned may be the first of such soft rebooted movies and may be about Spidey being forced to reluctantly team up with an already established Sinister Six to take down an even bigger threat. The idea is being compared to The Dirty Dozen - Solo Spiderman movies may be shelved for at least 4-5 years while ensemble movies like Sinister Six and Spiderman appearances in the MCU take place as a form of universe building.
- The Venom solo movie may be dead again.
- This is all being done to refocus the series, without hard rebooting again and making ANOTHER origin, while also facilitating an easy transition for Spidey into the MCU.
I'm REALLY excited for this… I was positive this'd never come to fruition until we found out about Oscorp Tower almost appearing in the first Avengers film, and that lit a small fire of hope the two companies were open to talking and could play nice in the future...
This would be AMAZING if it all panned out. Even if the Sony-helmed Solo Spiderman movies continue to be bad... just letting Marvel play with the character at all and include him in their universe by itself would be the best thing ever.
-
Sony just can't stop drooling over the cash cow.

Considering what the original costume looked like…..
Pre-Daredevil Ninja costume doesn't look all that bad.

Well he is blind after all. So no need for eye holes

Hmmm For some reason this looks like sweatpants outfit with gloves …. but I actually like it better than the bright red devil outfit
and yeah… it has 'eyes' on the mask, even in comics, wonder why when a blind man won't need it -

That's because that's exactly what it is.

I just saw someone on a comments section of a website recommend Oded Fehr play Dr. Strange…. and oh my yes... Yesssss.....

googles Oded Fehr
Yessssssss . . . . . . . .

I am so on board with that idea! Oh my god!

Oded Fehr would definitely be a good choice for Dr.Strange

Robert Downey Jr. will be in Captain America 3 as Tony. The Civil War is beginning.
-
If they're ACTUALLY doing Civil War, those Rumors about Sony playing ball and letting them use Spiderman had better be legit…
But either way, Tony Stark having a continued prescience in the MCU is ALWAYS A good thing.
-
Oh snap! Civil War's coming! I wonder how they'll handle it without the FF and X-Men. I'm hopeful that Spider-Man will be part of it.
-
Jeez, Ike Perlmutter had GOT to go. THis is the guy forcing the FF books to be cancelled (and ceasing of any and all related merchandising) and trying to minimize the X-Men because he's being pissy at Fox… and now apparently the guy doesn't want Downey in any more of the movies because he costs money?
What an ass.

As I recall, the XMen pretty much stayed out of the Civil War anyway, since they'd already been down that path with the Mutant Registration Act and sentinels. It might work BETTER actually without mutants…. The registration act actually makes a lot more sense with only a few heroes. When you throw in all of the millions of mutantkind it becomes an iffy persecution that kind of becomes... bad. On the other hand, the MCU only has like, 20 superpowered guys at the moment, and those guys all know each other and secret identities have NOT been a big thing so far.
THat said, the movies would have to handle it better than the comics did. State cleanly and clearly what the act actually DOES. If its loose it ends up just letting everyone decide Tony is the badguy Doctor Doom style and that it. Because the act makes PERFECT sense in-universe... train people like cops and give them licenses (and pay them!) to help mitigate the regular property damage and loss of life, and aid in coordination.
It of course, sucked from the comic writer's point of view, because they prefer the underdog fighting in secrecy, so 95% of the books just made the act out to be evil and had to do things like having Tony hire villains and make a Thor clone and arrest people without warrants or trials and a lot of other bullshit, and it was super heavily weighted on one side instead of the balanced perspective it SHOULD have been.

You're right, I think the only X-Man who actually took part in the Civil War is Wolverine, if I remember right.

Didn't Scarlet Witch just genocide most of the mutants before the Civil War broke out?

To be fair…I remember reading that RDJ costs a fair amount of money more than the other actors. Though this could probably be internet speculation since the salaries for the other actors haven't been revealed, looking it up on google quickly RDJ made at least $50 million minimum from the Avengers while the others might have had far less (read different sources say single digits in the millions). And he's probably trying to negotiate for more given his popularity.

Yeah he's kinda the reason why actors from now on sign these 7-10 picture deals because Marvel ended up paying so much money to RDJ to do Iron Man 3 and the next 2 Avenger movies in their last negotiations.
