We all heard your arguments and seen your "evidence" a hundred times now, its been discussed to death and i dont think many people really want to get into the debate again because there is no new ground to cover.

Most members post their theories once, in the appropriate thread (Theories that dont deserve their own thread) and then they move on. Thats how you avoid pissing people off.

Most people stopped debating Vagapunks theory a long time ago. But its impossible to arrange for a forum pact where NOBODY engages vagabond in a debate. Someone always does and it always leads to whole pages being cluttered with the same old mangapanda page-links from Punk Hazard, and long defensive rants bordering on plain martyrdom. The entire thing is off-topic and it annoys people. Its been going on for months and months. It doesnt belong in these threads.

But after seeing him this chapter, I don't think he is a doctor at all.
If he was, Diamante would have mentioned that detail somewhere. He would have asked Cora to check Law's health or something.
Diamante already told Law, a stranger random details about Cora. Seems a bit weird to leave out the fact that Cora is a doctor.

I dont think he is a doctor, he has been on the run with his brother since he was very young. He isnt really accepted into society, so where would he get the medical training?

What it seems like is Doflamingo is recruiting. Hes taking action to what he wants. I think omce hes done, in the flashback he will assign High executives inbetween the executives to have some form of hierachical structure with a chain of command.

Everyone is an executive for now.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Considering that at least 4 future officers are too young at this point and at least 1 is years away from being recruited at all.

So far the officers we can be sure of at this point are Diamante, Trebol, Vergo, Corazon, Lao G and Gladius.

The officers we can discount are Baby 5, Buffalo, Dellinger, Sugar and Violet.

Everyone else is up for grabs.

You're right, it doesn't exist yet 16 years ago. But in chapter 749, Law did say Cora is a chief officer according to powermanga version. I can't find the raw for that chapter. Maybe the elite officers was introduced later when more stronger members are recruited.
The raw of chapter 747 describe Pica as an elite/chief/highest rank officer.
Whereas the raw of this chapter just describe Diamante, Trebol and Cora as just officers(?) with their symbols . Regardless of the term, they are obviously the more important members in the crew at that point of time.

Good point. Corazon may have been the brother most affected by their mother dying and made his own attempts at learning medicine, especially if he does have the Ope Ope to help him out. Maybe this is the thing that bonds them.

Something I'm wondering is does this make his full name Donquioxte Corazon? This is interesting if the theory Dofla's true name is Donquioxte D. Flamingo, as Cora doesn't seem to have a D attached.
Interesting etymology Oda used, one meaning Heart and one Flame and their other name now meaning an idealist. One wants to burn the world the other save it?

C'mon you're talking about society like OP has such problems, If he was a fishman is fine since they're like black people living in the 1800s but they're not and I wouldn't rule it out since he's mom die from an illness and he could have taken that as an inspiration to become one

I do really like seeing the gradual formulation of the Donquixote Pirates as we know them in the current timeline.

We haven't really seen anything like it before with other crews.

Is it possible that were two heart officer at the same time? Cora and another person. Cora isn't exactly competent with his clumsiness and absent mindedness. Maybe Doffy decided his brother needed a partner or something?

Maybe being Dofla's most trusted lieutenant he was meant to take the Ope Ope and Law stole it from him.
That would explain why he beat Law so badly the first time and also why, years later, Law got to him enough to pierce his CoA. And all these years he's been DF free, saving himself for when he can beat the fruit out of Law.

I agree he might not be Law's sole inspiration but he's a big influence in Law motives to live. This situation is somewhat like Luffy who don't know how to draw but knows how to fight, my point is don't judge a book by it cover.

To be brutaliy honest, after rereading the last couple of prior chapters the begining of this flashback-series leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to law.

So far Diamante and Trebol really have been pretty nice and supportive of young law. Unless they were ALL in on some big betrayal against Corazon AND Law, Trafal-guy is actually a pretty cold hearted bastard for treating his former "family" as merely collateral damage in his quest to avenge one person who died by Doflamingos hands. Is it really worth it to seek out to destroy everyone you grew up around just because the bully captain killed the guy you liked the most?
And the fact that Law is riding on the strawhats, keeping his own crew out of the heat makes it look even worse.

I mean many of the executives seemed genuinley surprised that Law was willing to go after the family, its quite possible that they had nothing to do with the corazan incident. And the fact that Law is riding on the strawhats, keeping his own crew out of the heat makes it look even worse.

It's not like Law has been on some rampage against the entire family though.

If that was the case then Baby 5, Buffalo and Jora would all be dead.

Doffy is his only real target.

Seeing how Oda is giving us Doffy's backstory primarily through dialogue, I honestly doubt will get a fully fleshed out flashback from him. The way I see things, Doffy's full story is explain in flashbackception of sorts within Law's flashback where Corazon, through some means other than speech, conveys Doffy's backstory from Corazon's own point of view. I think that point in the flashback will likely be the most interesting aspect of it.

I'm in no way defending vagabond but it would have been better if something was done sooner. Maybe things wouldn't escalate like this.

Too bad OP is on a break. I could use something normal to read, after having to digest this week's Naruto and Bleach chapters. Unlike those 2, OP didn't suffer much through time, but I do sometimes wonder if it's going to last too long for it's own good.
I'm really hoping for a lite arc after this is over. Maybe we'll catch some small break, but I don't see how it's going to last, what with ramifications of this arc and the following Wano adventure.
And that's without considering possible Big Mom intervention and encounter with KHA alliance.
