Does Dragon have a df?
-
Imagine Sengoku and Luffy swapping DF. If Akainu had the Yomi-Yomi he'd still be a terrifying bastard, though I don't think even his dignity could withstand the Awa-Awa.
I would take any logia and plenty of parecemia over the yami no mi.
-
Blackbeard and Hancock swapping DFs would be kinda cool .. just imagine BB's temptation attempts towards his opponents
no one would've survived this shit!
-
Would Hancock's fruit work well with an ugly character(Trebol, Kanjuro, Chopper :P)?

No. That's its main downside.
It's an ability that takes in account the physical appearance of the user to reach its fullest potential.

Needs to be redrawn with the heart-hands, kiss-kiss face and wink.

Oh yeah, my point was the Yomi was considered pretty useless until Brook unlocked it's full soul abilities and Akainu would still be intimidating with those powers.
In fact there are very few that he wouldn't be a terrifying bastard with.
The idea of him sensuously soaping himself up during battle or using the Mero-Mero heart to beguile come closest.
Though considering how Hancock used it at Marineford, yup, still a terrifying bastard. -
@-Shichibukai-:
Does Dragon have a df?
Probably. He has been hinted to have some kind of weather ability when he appeared in Loguetown.
-
You guys are forgetting the Noro Noro. Imagine it with someone decent.
-
@-Shichibukai-:
Does Dragon have a df?
I bet for the Wind Logia… Yeah too obivious and blub blub, but so was Akainu's DF.
Wind is perfect for the revolution theme
-
@-Shichibukai-:
Does Dragon have a df?
^ What the guys above me said. It's more than likely that it's a DF but due to how early it was in the story and the concepts of 'spirit', it could very well just be his 'Ki' - as in Ten Ki (Weather) and literally meaning Heavenly Ki.
-
I would take any logia and plenty of parecemia over the yami no mi.
I think your underestimating Blackbeard's fruit. Jinbe did tell the Strawhats that Blackbeard took over all of Whitebeard's territory using the Yami-Yami no mi, not once using the powers of the Gura-Gura. That must mean the dark-dark fruit is much stronger than we are led to believe.

He said the exact opposite.

Hmm, I can't say I like this discussion since fruits are only as strong as the users make them and their personalities too affects their ability a great deal.
I second this since I feel the same way. To me, how useful, strong, and effective a devil fruit is is no different from how good a martial art style is. At the end of the day, it all depends on the skills of the one who uses it. Plain and simple.
-
Im curious about Lafittes DF. What if he in fact ate the mythical Human Human model: Angel - Zoan? there could be a Halo hidden inside his tophat.

I think this is the case, not only it would make him a great counterpart to Brook, but there is likely a connection with them since they both come from West Blue.

Only for the Mero Mero beam.
Attacks like pistol kiss, slave arrow, and Perfume Femur give the same effect and they have nothing to do with the users beauty.

I don't believe that. I think Pistol Kiss was meant to turn Luffy to stone. And as for Slave Arrow and Perfume Femur…I saw a really good post about those a while ago. It basically said that in Japanese culture, there's a belief that there is life in everything (perhaps that is Shinto belief, I'm not very familiar). This line of thought is supported by Zoro's fight with Mr. 1; Zoro learned how to feel the Breath of All Things, implying that everything is, on some level, alive. And if Hancock can turn Den Den Mushi to stone, that means that anything alive is a target for her. Not even rocks or robots or cannonballs are incapable of being enraptured by Hancock's beauty.
-
How do you guys think law's DF work when it comes to cutting objects like kairosiki
does it negate/weaken durability or sharpen the cuts ?
have in mind , kairosiki is as durable as diamondsnot sure if that was discussed before ! probably yes .. sorry

i think the mero beam would be also useless since it requires temptation , that's why it had no effect on luffy
the only useful way to use the df in this case would be the direct contact petrification -

For instance if Bartolomeo had the Mero Mero then might it work on the 'lust' of those who he provokes into hating him?
If Kanjuro or Luffy had the Ato Ato would it turn things into childish scrawls?
What would happen if any of the animals we've encounted had that or the Hobe Hobe? Both Chopper & Pierre have Zoans, but even a reindeer with the Ope Ope would be scary.

Yeah i think you're right , thinking about it now that actually makes more sense than everyone is miraculously getting the df that suits his personality best

Hasn't there been discussion about Devil fruits actually housing devils? Wouldn't that then make sense that people begin to take on traits suiting to the fruit? And if there was no sort of guiding mechanism how would certain people figure out the intricacies of their fruits? How does one come to know that they can sacrifice their lives to give someone an operation that makes them unaging?

There is both the instinctual, basic level and personal exploration unlocking of the fruit, such as Brook discovering the true powers of the Yomi Yomi.
There is also literature detailing what some of the more famous fruits are capable of.As for the Ope Ope it may be able to make another immortal but my theory is it lets the user transfer their personality into another body, killing their original and freeing the fruit. We'll have to see.

Agreed … we can see what happen after alvida ate DF..., if BB ate Hancock's DF, maybe he became handsome ... maybe DF change people mind and appearance ..

I don't believe that. I think Pistol Kiss was meant to turn Luffy to stone.
What reason do you have for believing that? There was no implication leading to that at all.

This makes no sense whatsoever.
Inanimate objects can't feel lust. And no they're not alive.

Agreed with exploration also can happen because accidentally. But literature, some one has to become the first user to figure the potential of DF power and made the literature.

He cut Smoker's cuffs who were made of seastone(His power also open locks. didn't remember that one) . Just like Mr3 can open locks made of seastone.I think the mero beam would be also useless since it requires temptation , that's why it had no effect on luffy
the only useful way to use the df in this case would be the direct contact petrificationSlave arrow and pistol kiss works fine.
-
What reason do you have for believing that? There was no implication leading to that at all.
All her other attacks turn people to stone. I figured the pistol kiss was primarily for that purpose, but since it couldn't work like that on Luffy it just injured him instead.
This makes no sense whatsoever.
Inanimate objects can't feel lust. And no they're not alive.
Of course inanimate objects can't feel lust. And people can't be made of rubber, right? I simply find it ludicrous to presume that the only reason Luffy was immune to her attacks was because she used the one attack that wouldn't work on him.
-

If she wanted to turn him to stone then and there she would have used a slave arrow.
Her main purpose for doing that was to prevent him from escaping, which she stated.Of course inanimate objects can't feel lust. And people can't be made of rubber, right?
This comparison is downright ridiculous.
Luffy turned into rubber because he ate a devil's fruit. The two don't even begin to compare so the fact that you did just that is laughable.
I simply find it ludicrous to presume that the only reason Luffy was immune to her attacks was because she used the one attack that wouldn't work on him.
The Mero Mero beam is the only attack that requires lust to work. That's the concept behind it.
Luffy is asexual, therefore it didn't work.
Why is this so hard to comprehend? -
(His power also open locks. didn't remember that one).
I think you assume he can open locks because he release Jean Bart, but I think he not open the bomb-cuffs Jean Bart but swap the bomb-cuffs. So, his DF cannot open locks.
-

He can just cut the locks anyway.
-

Luffy turned into rubber because he ate a devil's fruit. And I'm saying hancock can make inanimate objects lust because she ate a devil fruit.

Luffy is asexual, therefore it didn't work.
Why is this so hard to comprehend?Comprehending and agreeing are two different things. How are you so sure that Hancock's other attacks worked differently than her beam? Your explanation has exactly as much proof as mine, they both just happen to fit the circumstances. Yours is arbitrary, mine assumes quite a lot without evidence. Feel free to disagree, but I don't see any definite reason that I'm wrong.
-
He can just cut the locks anyway.
"cut" and "open" is different work and cannot be always applied in the same situation.
-
And I'm saying hancock can make inanimate objects lust because she ate a devil fruit.
1. That's not her ability.
2. Inanimate objects don't have consciousness or eyes to see for that matter.
3. Inanimate objects do not have reproductive systems. How are you so sure that Hancock's other attacks worked differently than her beam?
That's what we've been shown.
You're simply ignoring that in favor of coming up with ridiculous claims as to why she can do what she does.Your explanation has exactly as much proof as mine
False.
How are you so sure that Hancock's other attacks worked differently than her beam?
She only uses it when her opponents are in a position to lust after her and her other attacks work on beings and objects that are incapable of lust.
-
I think you assume he can open locks because he release Jean Bart, but I think he not open the bomb-cuffs Jean Bart but swap the bomb-cuffs. So, his DF cannot open locks.
I'm taling about getting rid of his chains by opening the lock.
-
I'm taling about getting rid of his chains by opening the lock.
Oh this one …
I am forget this, I always remember that he break the chain by force because not made from Kairoseki (-this what happened on Ep.603.)

He cut Smoker's cuffs who were made of seastone(His power also open locks. didn't remember that one) . Just like Mr3 can open locks made of seastone. This incident is actually what i'm refering to .. did the room cancel the sea stone durability so that law can cut it effortlessly as if he was cutting a cake
or did it just increase the cut's sharpness/strength -
This incident is actually what i'm refering to .. did the room cancel the sea stone durability so that law can cut it effortlessly as if he was cutting a cake
or did it just increase the cut's sharpness/strengthLaw cuts everything. I don't see why seastone would be an exception with that kind of power. So I say piece of like pretty much everything.

Law cuts everything. I don't see why seastone would be an exception with that kind of power. So I say piece of like pretty much everything.
I'm starting to think that this is the case , seastones should be as hard as diamonds if he can cut that what can't he possibly cut !
but again he couldn't cut doflamingo's strings
this whole thing baffles me :getlost:
@Magi:You just answered your own question.
I just gave two choices
-
I'm starting to think that this is the case , seastones should be as hard as diamonds if he can cut that what can't he possibly cut !
but again he couldn't cut doflamingo's stringsHaki stuff are his only limits. Watch Smoker reminding Tashigi that as hype material her haki isn't strong enough.
-
Haki stuff are his only limits. Watch Smoker reminding Tashigi that as hype material her haki isn't strong enough.
hmm haki (hardening) increases the body's durability so that it can stop cuts , i guess that could only help if your hardening is even harder than kairosiki , which makes escaping impel down a much easier task if the prisoners haki is on that level
-

It just weaken the cutting power for some reason. Law's resistance into consideration before. And it somehow avoid from being melt by magma. So yeah Haki works oddly with devilfruit even if it supposedly don't negate your power.

Which DFs would make for an interesting matchup in your opinions? Can be either vs. or team combinations
I'd like to see Inazuma's scissor fruit vs. Diamante's flutter power
Apoo music vs. Rosi silence
Blackbeard vs. Brook (lolz)
AND most importantly, Boa vs. Pica!!! would it work on Pica, and also can Pica 'assimilate' a person Boa had already turned into stone?
-

Aokiji vs Sabo or Enel vs Crocoboy
-
Smoker vs Caesar Clown.
Interested to see how that would work. -
Mato Mato vs Giro Giro
! Usopp wins

What do you think sets these artificial Devil Fruits apart from the real the real thing? I think maybe they let the user tap into the raw animalistic instinct, of the animal making them far more ferocious in battle. Or maybe they'll be a bit like the fuzors from beast wars, allowing the user to transform into a hybrid of two or more animals.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Out of the 4 fundamental forces. We've seen two so Electromagnetism (kid) and Gravitational (Fujitora) Do you think we see anyone with nuclear power, or is that too overpowered?

What If the animals on Dressrosa are actually Smile fruit users and not just some random animal that were hit by the Hobby 2x.
Nuclear Devil Fruit, I doesn't see Oda stepping on that line.

Turning totally into a beast? I doubt Kaido would buy it if that were the case or at least we would get an hint about there humanity.
