Chapter 755: World of Men

You have to wake up now ! Sabo didn't show more strength than a Yonko officer. It's impressive alright, but he's Dragon's right hand afterall.
That's why I said top twenty, and not top ten.
… Well, maybe top thirty, but no further then that.
-
I will also go as far as to say Dressrosa is like Wiskypeak leading up to Alabasta.
I did read your post and I agree for the most part.
However, there's one minor thing I disagree. I'd say Dress Rosa is more like Little Garden with Punk Hazard being like Whiskey Peak.
-
I do. I love my cock.
Hum ok, I asked because I can't say whether he enjoys it or despises it.
-
Sabo being top-twenty material isn't a problem imo… nor is him capable of fighting on equal grounds with an Admiral. He's part of an organisation that directly opposes The World Goverment, he's Dragon's second, his right hand. Yes, that's a title but I think it matters in this case. If the revolutionaries at this stage are to be a real threat then they better hope that they have a couple of guys besides Dragon himself that can fight with the toughest guys from the WG's military force.
I think it's fair to assume that Dragon has personally trained and raised Sabo. If that's the case then there's no surprise that he's this strong. He's been out there a lot longer then Luffy has.
Sabo right now is just getting to look awesome as he fights. We'll get more depth on his personality and just him as a character overall during the inevitable flashback and hopefully a mini-arc focused on the Revolutionaries.
Remember the wonderful days when it was protagonist that were supposed to be the underdogs?
Fun times.

I was reading and I was like this:sad: no reply to my post just the same discussion. Thank you the reason why I don't post much is that when I do I hardly get a response unless i quote somebody. So now I am like:happy:

Don't worry, I'm sure many people read it like me and didn't reply because they agreed with pretty much everything

This chapter was way too manly for my frail body. I fell to my knees and trembled at the sight of that man-off.
I want the factory administrator to stick around until the end of the arc. Just.. trailing Franky and crushing on him along the way. It's about time Franky got a little somethin' somethin'. He's way too old to still be a virgin. -

The vacuum lady was kind of stupid and pointless. Franky keeps letting himself get supplexed by diaper boy. The tontattas are boring. Honestly, it feels like this fight should have started and ended 20 chapters ago.

I didn
t realize Sabo is the protagonist of the story now. Seriously though, was Ace portrayed as an underdog when he first appeared? I don
t think so. Sabo got trained by Dragon for ten years. Did you think when hed reappear, he
d be a huge pushover? Of course he is a force to be reckoned with. And yes, he probably is top 30 strongest characters. Why are you so surprised by that? Would you also have these problems if Marco was fighting toe to toe with an Admiral? -
Hmmm… locked princess with special power, now where did I see that before. Maybe dwarfs princess also has/is ancient weapon.
and caribou will tell kaidou about her too :ninja:
-
That's why I said top twenty, and not top ten.

I'm kind of wondering if we have that many powerhouses.
Akainu, Kizaru, Kuzan, Fujitora, Ryokugyu, Garp, Sengoku, Shanks, Mihawk, Teach, Big Mom, Kaidou, Dragon… are we counting dead characters too?
Top 20 doesn't seem that surprising.
-

Top 20 seems about right yeah. We also still have Rayleigh, commanders like Marco, Vista, Beckman, maybe one or two Kaidou and Big Mom commanders as well. The Gorosei and Kong don't seem to be just higher ups either, they might even be top 10 for all we know. I don't know if Px-0 still has Kuma's abilities, but he seemed on a very high level as well.

Still has them, used Ursus Shock on Oars Jr. He'd be pretty useless without the fruit.
Btw, he could be even more dangerous now, since there were apparently some upgrades to Pacifistas. Wonder when we'll get to see those.

Oh yeah, that's right. As a human Kuma already seemed crazy strong and fast, just interrupting Rayleigh and Kizaru during their fight like it was nothing. Makes me wonder about Vegapunk and if he is just a scientist for the marines or that he has more up his sleeve.

I think he meant something like : Doffy builds a clone, then Manshelly gives life to it. Then Mingo can still use the clone's strings for the Birdcage.
So Manshellie´s DF can pretty much only be utilized in conjucture with someone who ate a DF that allows that person to conjure solid matter out of thin air in order to create a clone? sounds useless and i still stand behind my theory as way more likely. and again there was a frame of the princess handing over a bunch of strings rolled into a ball. Doffy uses his puppeteering powers to turn it into a clone and and control its movements.
DD can already control bodies like puppets on his own, he doesnt need someone elses DF for that. I find it way more probable that Monsherrie provides DD with the materials for a string clone (as we saw in this chapter, a bowl of strings) and DD "Brings it to life" by manipulating its movements, wich his fruit allows for.

What bowl of strings? All I saw was a guard bringing M… princess some food.
Don't see why someone who creates strings with his ability would need anyone to make strings for them.
-
I was taken aback by the re-encounter between franky and señor pink. I definitely agree that the chapters have been dragging a bit (more so since Oda has been ill and requiring more rest in between chapters IMO. The poor guy needs it though.)
But I thought that was the most enjoyable part of the chapter. I don't think there is anything wrong with calling out offensive material particularly sexism, but I actually think Oda was just being at his troll-y best by making fun of that particular scene. Both franky and señor pink are parodies of western action heroes or actors in general. He's a huge movie enthusiast and is totally referencing reservoir dogs and other old movies featuring a kind of sultry, skanky sort of macho thug. (There is an actor I was reminded of in particular, but it may just be my own personal interest in this actor.). The whole, kiss the girl to make her shut up thing has been done many times, except this time it features two of the most ridiculous characters in one piece. I don't think we're meant to take anything about that seriously. I mean, does anyone honestly think señor pink with his bonnet and diaper is sexy? Those girls love him but isn't that just to illustrate how silly it all is.
Anyway it was the most enjoyable chapter I've seen in a while. I'm tired of watching Zoro and Pika just standing there looking at each other. That fight feels like it's going nowhere fast. Plus law's past has been teased to death and now it's getting a bit aggravating waiting for him to tell us why the hell Law is the way he is. I know dressrosa will end well, but it's starting to feel like the namek arc where people were perpetually running around chasing each other. I did think that the scene with the princess was cute too and made Leo look heroic.

Besides what would king Riku and co need strings for, king Riku said they needed her power right?

! Whack a mole?
-
Manshelly will magically return Dressrosa to it's original state. She'll fix everything that was destroyed by Pica.
-
My God, I can remember when Barto debut, he was supposed to be someone to fear, and when his design was revealed, everyone said he had "The face of a beast."
Then, when I see his stupid face, all he seems to be to me is another waste of Corrida Colosseum fodder.
Then, as time went on, it became clear to me that Oda gave him a stupid face just to make it look even stupider any time he'd fawn over the Straw Hats.
Yeah, I never was a fan, nor of the other combatants. Cavendish was the only sensible Corrida combatant and I think Don Qinjoa was one of the biggest jackasses in this story thus far. Seriously Qinjoa, he was completely rude, irrational, and had no right to do what he did.
-
Zoro is my favorite character of the series and although I like last week chapter I hope pica has something up his sleeves to make it less one sided I prefer when Zoro is on the verge of death and wearing his bandana I mean he did it for that squid on FI and I know/hope pica is above his level. I also hope Franky takes Pink's groupies Sanji reaction would be funny.

We saw what happens when you try to bring gimmick into top level fight with Perona vs Kuma.
And Sabo is not using gimmicky powers. He is stopping Issho with pure fighting strength.
…......And the last panel we saw of them was Sabo looking a bit in distress while Issho remains calm.

@Miss:
The.. factory administrator? What?
She isn't a Nami/Robin clone, but has a very unique design. Slap a sad backstory on that gal and we have a new nakama.

Yep. It's destiny!
-
i hope sanji say same as zoro .. you'r not at my level..
-
-
i honestly prefer her over becca or viola if i have to pick one to join the crew. we need a uniquely designed women not another smart/sexy/beautiful women like nami and robin. a strong/stupid/weird/big women like lola/dadan is better than another generic one piece beautiful women crew. the straw hats has all sorts of different men in the crew so the women need balancing as well.

her dream would be to vacuum the world's dirt away with her GIZMOVACUUMUNGOS "chichi"(thats her vacuum's name). and then travel through the sky as the witch she is on top of that vacuum. Witches tend to use brooms but you know that when wood is scarce they'll use vacuums alright.

No, but I was counting him among Yonkou commanders, and characters of similar strength, like Marco and Jozu, and Magellan.
Plus, I do assume that every Yonkou has at least two commanders on similar level, plus 7th Shichibukai, and probably some other characters we haven't seen yet.

Issho, honestly, looks pissed. More so then ever before.
Which still doesn't matter, because Oda won't make Sabo lose.
Which means he will be able to stop Fujitora for as long as it takes.
-
The idea that Sabo is around the same strength as Marco offends me.
It's probably true though…
-

I hear you man.
It's either that, or Burgess and Fujitora are a lot less strong then we thought
. Sabo being on that level is a more reasonable explanation. Unfortunatly.
-
sabo being super strong is reasonable due to his rank in the revo army. if the 2nd man in the army cant fight the admirals then they have no chance at all against the WG.
my problem is sabo being able to be the 2nd rank in the first place. oda should've make him a squad leader or something instead. more reasonable for someone with his age and status as a 'new' member. there must be a lot of senior member who is more experienced than him that fit the rank better (like ivankov or kuma or other senior member).

That would've been reasonable… if the fight was World Goverment vs Revolutionaries.
The fight is World Goverment vs Revolutionaries, Yonkou, and if Fujitora succeds, Seven Warlords of the sea. Plus Supernovas. Plus veteran New World crews. Plus random pirates all around the world.
While those are not working with each other, they all work against WG. At the same time.
So it's hardly Revolutionaries that are the underdog here.

2nd rank is not that weird if you look at his age. Ace was about the same age and was 2nd commander in Whitebeard's army.
I also think his rank has to do with his encounter with Dragon, specifically his comments when he first met Dragon. Age/qualification is not the only thing determining rank. Stuff like background and skill also matter, quite alot.

Not really. The revolutionaries are against the established order - that means the World Government and the system it supports. The yonkous and warlords are both a part of this system.

It looks like he's been a member ever since he was saved by Dragon though.
12 years of service doesn't make you a "new" member.

None of those organisations work against the WG in the same way the revolutionaries do though.
So you can't really lump them in together Vs. WG.
All the rest play their roles within the established system, while the Revolutionaries want to change the system entirely.
So yeah, the revolutionaries are the underdogs here.

Lack of ideology doesn't mean you are less threatning.
And you cannot say that everyone else wants to play their roles, when in this very arc we get a marine Admiral that doesn't.
And unless you make the argument that WG works to deliberatly keep Yonkou part of system going… yeah.
While, at this point in time anyway, we saw no implications that pirates are against revolution in any way.
Or that revolution is against pirates, for that matter.

Oda had fifteen years to get good at it.
If your weekly series can't be enjoyed weekly, then that's the fault of writer, and not readers.
I can't agree more, seriously.
some op fans keep advising those who feel like this arc is dragging "wait until the arc is finished"
well but if the story doesn't seem enjoyable in the progress that's definitely something wrong with the arrangement of the writer
it's the writer who is responsible for keeping it interesting throughout
it may not need to be engaging every single chapter but from time to time, it has to give readers something to be excited aboutnow i really don't see these elements have been well presented for the past 10 chapters
Oda has got so much interesting stuff to talk about and he chose the worst way to present them (eg. Zoro's fight, the factory etc)
or he just ignored them (eg Law's flashback)BTW
I really hated that kiss, it's seriously gross
and to me it's OOC of Franky
since when did Franky start to get so upset when a female intervene his fights?
I have never seen Franky treated females differently in battles??!! (eg how he fought baby-5) -

I have never seen Franky treated females differently in battles??!! (eg how he fought baby-5)I will agree the whole kiss thing was unnecessary, and that the rest of the chapter could've worked out a different way. The rest of the stuff that happened was okay to funny. I won't deny that the last bunch of chapters have been dragging, and that some things could've been done better. I've been saying to wait for the end of the arc until judging certain aspects, such as how important a role certain characters played, and how certain plot points ended. I'm fine with people saying they didn't like how Sugar was taken out, because that part has been completed, but me, and some others, are saying that the whole arc shouldn't be completely judged because not everything has been finished. I respect the fact that you haven't liked the past 10 or so chapters, and I think part of the problem on this forum is that you have those that have liked most of what happened, and those who haven't liked it, such as you and Darth. With two polarizing viewpoints, and having to wait X amount of time for a new chapter, arguments are made, but it seems like some are not willing to see the others viewpoints. I'm not pointing out anyone in particular, and I am guilty of this as well.
