Can Captain Boomerang be in this show
DC TV Series Thread - Crossovers where heroes SING!

I'm more excited for Flash and Green Arrow team-ups than Murderman and Batfleck team-ups.
-
Extended Trailer:
Oooooo, now That looks more promising!
My roommate says she won't be able to watch because this actor played a character in Glee and that's all she'll ever be able to see him as (total Gleek).
-
Oh wow, I might actually check this out. This is like the exact opposite of Smallville.
-
Ohkay, like wow. That was seriously awesome. I'm even more excited that there are gonna be other "meta-humans" now in the Arrow-verse, but its also kinda weird that all this time for the first 2 seasons of Arrow - it was real-world like, and now this element is being added in.
I'm not digging the costume so much, i hope they update it a bit…it reminds me way too much of Captain America's costume in the Avengers movie......
Though i still hope & pray for a Batman TV series that could be added into this Universe they've made - but i'm not gonna hold my breath on that. -

-
I'm impressed at the number of special effects. I wonder if it's technology that makes these effects cost sensible or if the network just went all out with their money.
-

That'll always by the dream :(
-
2 Batman series at the same time? What's on other than Gotham?
-
@Cyan:
Can Captain Boomerang be in this show
I pay to god there is
-
2 Batman series at the same time? What's on other than Gotham?
Nothing, we were saying that we want a Batman series within the Arrow universe. Won't happen because of Gotham.
-
And presumably because of what happened the last time we got a Batman related show with the Birds Of Prey LA series.
-
Didn't know how close we're getting to flash. He's been my favorite DC hero since I was a little boy reading my dad's comic collection.
Looks like it a few steps above
That said I hope and pray for a mark hamill cameo.
-
While the movie-verse is drowning, at least the tv-verse is looking up a little: there are good reports of the Gotham pilot preview screenings.

http://collider.com/gotham-series-reviews/Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Penguin are stand-outs, huh? Looking good . . . .
-
The pilot could be all kinds of awesome, but its the rest of the episodes that matter. You're only as good as ur last episode. The opening of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D got rave reviews from what i remember and many enjoyed it….and we all saw how long that lasted when the other episodes came along.
-
You're only as good as ur last episode.
Not really. If all the episodes before it are enjoyable, then having a ho-hum finale isn't so bad. It would suck if the finale wasn't great, but you're not really watching a show just to see how it ends. People don't rewatch movies because they like the ending, they liked the in-between bits as well.

New Character Posters out for "Gotham".
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand my interest in this show is dead. It's gonna tank. They clearly have no respect for their audience and this show is going to be geared towards the lowest common denominator.
Why do I say this?
Because while Edward Nygma, Oswald Cobblepot, and Selina Kyle get to keep their names… People are just too stupid to understand that a little girl with red hair, a green dress, and is introduced to the audience in a room full of plants, is "Poison Ivy" if you don't call her "Ivy", so, gotta change her name to "Ivy Pepper".
Seriously. Pamela Lillian Isley is now "Ivy Pepper".
I'm done. No more hype for this show at all.
At least Constantine still looks good.
-
All that over a name change?
-
The name change itself is a sign of what the actual problem is. They are treating their audience like idiots. They are acting like the people watching this are stupid or that you can't use some other narrative method to teach the viewer who this little girl named "Pamela Isley" is. Nope, gotta make it simple because the audience is stupid. She's Poison Ivy, let's just call her Ivy.
I was worried about this when the script for the pilot leaked at one point and had LITERALLY every character who interacts with Oswald Cobblepot say a variation of "Gee, this guy sure looks like a Penguin, don't he?". I'm surprised there wasn't a stage direction to have the actor saying said line turn and wink at the camera every time.
This is just going to be your basic dumbed-down police procedural show with random Batman references peppered in to try to attract fans to watch the show, while they, at the same time, pull BS like this that only serves to alienate those same fans.
-
Anyone else watch the first episode of the flash? It leaked and is all over the internet, really good episode. No spoilers from me though.

I'll check it out when I get home. I'm actually still interested in that, and I need to see something good to pick up my spirits after this Ivy debacle…
-
Huh…that's weird, I really don't get why they would change Poison Ivy's name. Are the writers paranoid that the general audience will NEVER figure out that she's Poison Ivy? Even if you've never heard of her original name, SOMEONE will point it out to you (odds being that a huge chunk of the demographic of this show are Batman fans) or heck the Internet will make it clearly obvious too. Also the moment she's revealed, a fair percentage of people will still refer to her as Poison Ivy (or Poison Ivy kid) just because that's what she's commonly known as. So eventually you OUGHT to figure out she's Poison Ivy if you never heard of her original name.
EVEN THEN, I'm sure the writers will make it pretty flipping obvious by adding visual clues (giving her a plant motif or something) which would render the name change even more pointless.
Though, I'm surprised they kept the name "Gotham". That might be confusing for some people too. Why didn't they change the title of the show to "Batman City" or heck, why didn't they change Bruce Wayne's name to "Little Batty"?

Oy, calm down. I'm pissed off too, but I'm not going to cut off an entire show over one name.

No, I'll wait till the premiere.

You're assuming an awful lot. May want to wait before making such bold declarations. If it ends up being great you'll have quite a bit of egg on your face.
Also, this is a Fox show. I think the last thing it'll be is a "basic dumbed-down police procedural." Especially considering the last Police Procedurals they put out were Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Sleepy Hollow.
-
Well, before I even watched the trailer for "Gotham" I thought it was gonna blow. Mayhaps I was correct.
-
The Constantine(Hellblazer) pilot is floating around now. Just like Flash, another solid pilot. It's a shame it's not on a network that can go a bit further given the source material(Constantine can't even have a cig), but within it's constraints it's pretty decent. There are a few DC easter eggs in it too.

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/07/07/former-superman-brandon-routh-joins-arrow-as-the-atom
Brandon Routh's been cast as Ray Palmer, the Atom, for season three of Arrow. Don't know much about the character, but I really liked the actor in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and by my understanding, he did a pretty good job in Superman Returns (though I've only seen small amounts of that movie).
-
It's kind of funny they got Brandon Routh playing Atom seeing as how Superman Returns was his first major starring role and every other role he's had then has essentially been nondescript.
-
Firestrom makes the cut too.

Okay I haven't been a fan of Roy at all on Arrow. That said, his Arsenal suit is AWESOME.
-
Roy isn't gone yet..? D:
-
-
heh heh heh….no
And worse, that photo makes him look like a major part of Season 3…
I thought I read somewhere that the makers of Arrow promised smaller team for Oliver et co. in season 3.
I fear that not only Roy, but Laurel will try to join up with Arrow. And remember, Sara's still available and will pop up in every opportunity. -
That looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to see season 3 get under way…

Arrow Season 3 Trailer:
!
-
Cool trailer, but reading comments is just depressing. Why are batman fans so asinine. Apparantly every villian in DC is a batman ONLY villain and then so many think that Arrow will ruin them. Batman fans just make me cringe like Twilight fans.
-

Because Batman is cool even when he comes off as a selfish prick, while guys like Superman as sociable and nice as they can normally be are dorks…...I'm going by Lego Batman 2's interpretation of the characters along with a Game Informer article that praised and criticized the respective characters.
-
I can't wait for Ra's to appear on the show!
-
Hooray for Peter Stormare!!
Seriously this dude is in every show I watch. Blacklist, prison break, Hawaii five o, etcOther than that… groan at Sara, Roy being smug idiots and Kassidy seemingly getting smug as well, Diggle being pushed away and Felicity getting bloodied.
As for Ras, if he is the excuse for the makers to bring Lotz back into the show, the sooner he is gone the better.
Oh and he better take out at least Roy before he goes. At least. -

Well, not to be asinine but I did blink a lot when Ra's came in at the end (and they mispronounced the name). Like, "why the hell is he here? He's not a Green Arrow villain." kind of reaction.
Does this mean they're going to try and mesh with Gotham?
-
Well, Arrow is basically a Batman show with a likable hero and a Lost backdrop.

The only show being crossovered with is The Flash. Gotham is on a different network and doing its own thing.
And Ra's had been mentioned a few times in season 1 and 2. They had Ra's second daughter in a few episodes of season 2.

Huh.
Second Constantine trailer from Comic-Con!
Three words: Doctor Fate Helmet.

Conversation with Stephen Amell at Comic Con:
he's a really super awesome guy, really likeable.
