Uh… Nobody wanted the story to fail. We had no real reason after 2 years of hiatus and with how the last arc concluded to really think he'd come back and keep writing.

So was I looking at the date correctly? 4/28 is the day it returns?

That's a really dumb comment. Of course it always returns from Hiatuses. If it didn't it would still be on hiatus. You can't do multiple hiatuses without returning in between them

I don't know at wich point they exactly are, but someone mentioned that they plan to end the chimera ant arc at episode 135 and it's currently at 125 with newest episode coming out in 2 hours. So not all that many total episodes left even if they also gonna cover the election arc.
