@Monkey:
Hey guys, so this guy I saw commenting on a One Piece video wrote some harsh criticism about the writing of certain One Piece scenes, please tell me if you find his complaints valid or invalid, these are just some of the things that he said:
I disagree of course, but I don't know how to reply to this.
The hell is wrong with this dude.. I feel ashamed for the Toriko fans.
How is it Robin was treated like a freak on her island by all the inhabitants except the scholars who treat her like an angel. They live together, this is writing 101 that it makes no sense. One of them would have adopted her and her asshole aunt would of been grateful. Franky's technology is 300 years ahead while Vegapunk is 500 years ahead. Not only is that leap impossible, but Franky doesn't have the security to keep that tech from spreading. Avatar episode 17 pointed this idiocy out.
Because unlike the rest of the inhabitants, the scholars aren't discriminating idiots. They could very well know about Devil Fruits. But they definitely know her parents, her mom being one of them and that before leaving, she specifically said that her brother - Robin's uncle will take care of her, not her aunt. The scholars are also doing something against the government that can get them killed anytime and he wants one of them to involve her? Very smart. About Franky, I don't need words for this..

Why is it nearly all of the Admirals are so stereo-typically evil and uncaring about human life yet still get in positions of power? They have no responsibility capability so it makes no sense. And talk about inconsistant Sengoku. One second he's threatening to kill his life long friend if he helps his grandson, and the next he's quitting the Marines. Did it really take that long to see corruption in the government? Really?…is Oda actually treating us like complete morons?
The Admirals are stereotypical evil? What the actual f***. How are they evil? They each have their own justice, which is firmly grounded by their belief, responsibility and their power - even someone as lazy as Aokiji couldn't bring himself to serve under Akainu and fought him but he was defeated and his life was spared. Sengoku threatening to show no mercy on Garp if he helps Luffy or Ace - I assume he means one of these.
[hide][/hide]
But how is that related to Garp when he himself ended up choosing his duty? How is it related to Sengoku following orders which could very well be for the sake of the public's safety but an unprecedented huge threat to that, such as Level 6 prisoners escaping being covered up made him realize that he couldn't take their sh*t anymore? Not sure what he means by "us" but thinking everything is black and white: "Admirals are stereotypical evil, Sengoku quit because the Government is always corrupt" then yeah he's definitely a "genius" and a very "capable" critic.
Like, how in the hell did Kaku and the 'sexual harassment' bitch learn about a dozen moves using devil fruits they just got an hour ago. Its not just unlikely… ..its DOWNRIGHT IMPOSSIBLE AND CONTRIVED. When is Oda going to explain the clima-tact. Yeah, main character has weather power, and he can't find one good explanation of why Nami is the only one who can use it effectively. I mean goddamn OP fans are used to swallowing a lot of poorly written shit. I mean its not Toriko but still.
This is.. my! What a convenient memory this "genius" has. Except swords, all of Kaku's attacks were fundamentally kept with Rokushiki and attacks that relied on his Devil Fruit were limited and even named on the spot.

Kalifa on the other hand relied on her DF powers which led to her defeat, but as for her powers are concerned, pretty sure she uses soap regularly… and already familiar with it. Also, she already had a practice dummy fight against Sanji. About Nami's art of weather fighting style, how is being a navigator with exceptional knowledge and skills that can sense weather patterns NOT a good explanation? The Clima Tact is an invention made by dials and like Usopp stated it was only meant for party tricks. Though the upgrades for it is weird but if you think of them as just more convenient for the user within each upgrade without changing the fighting style as a whole then it's much more reasonable. Enjoy your Toriko, though.
I was actually dissapointed by Robin's backstory cause it tried to do too much and made lots of badly written mistakes. Example, Aokiji killed Saul AFTER he saw Akainu kill so many innocents, but before he gave Robin a path. Example, If the aunt and uncle treated her like dirt, why didn't any of the loving researchers ask to take custody of her…her aunt would of gladly accepted. The reason is that he wanted to combine a 'lost everything backstory' with a 'treated like a freak' backstory.
At this point I couldn't care less what he thinks or perceive as "badly written mistakes" as I can't understand such "genius". Just a fun fact cause a very good "critic" states that this is badly written - Aokiji's sense of justice was the same as Akainu at that time, as confirmed in Volume 64's SBS.
D: Odacchi sensei, I will ask a question~. I am very serious!! In volume 63 chapter 622 page 144, it's written "~ar Justice" (~ずの正義) behind Kizaru, and I remember Aokiji's said "Completely Lazy Justice". Please tell us Akainu, Kizaru, and Odacchi's Justice. P.N. K.Z.K. JonesO: Mine too?! Uh, well here it is.
SBS62 6 Akainu Akainu: "Thorough Justice"
SBS62 6 Kizaru Kizaru: "Unclear Justice"
Aokiji SBS Aokiji: "Lazy Justice"
Oda's Avatar SBS Volume 62 Oda: "I love Anpanman"
Yes. Weeell about my justice, just the bored people can think about that please. I'm a Takashi fan for some reason. Akainu's justice can be taken from his actions of burning Robin's homeland, Ohara, down completely in order to demolish all evil. At this time, Aokiji used to have a board that said "Blazing Justice", but after thinking about it for so long, his thoughts and will all came to a settle on "Lazy Justice". In these past two years, there was this big "happening" that occurred among the Marines. I want to draw that happening so bad I'm getting flutterflies. Please enjoy it in the canon sometime in the future.
Aokiji did his duty as a Marine, but with Akainu shooting down that passenger ship, it's clear that he had doubts after. It also doesn't mean it didn't pain him to kill his friend, which is why he let a child that very same friend tried to save, escape. Only a complete "genius" would misinterpret that scene.

They were two trajic backstories that didn't mesh well at all and didn't make any sense, yet he did them anyway. None of the researchers who gave her a huge birthday party each year asked for custody knowing how much she was treated outside the library ON THE SAME ISLAND? …I'm just used to moderately good writing, so when I see shitty writing, it just doesn't go for me
[hide][/hide] "Genius"…
…I must have been very bored to reply to this.
