This is one of those movie that didn't really need a 2nd movie in my opinion. The original movie was a good movie, but it something that we don't need another one.
Mrs. Doubtfire 2 is coming soon
-
-
Eh, I'll be watching just for the sake of watching, but I don't really expect anything spectacular.
-
Betting it right here - Robin's kids are grown up, have kids of their own and he has to pull out the fake boobs and tired gags and become the granny again.
-
To me, the original movie was good movie and its just didn't really need a sequal. I probably will see the movie, but I won't expect much from it.

Now if Mrs. Doubtfire went to Looney Tune land to help them win a basketball game….

@Mr.:
Now if Mrs. Doubtfire went to Looney Tune land to help them win a basketball game….
Let's take it all the way.Let's do a Crossover with Mars need moms where they kidnap Mrs. Doubtfire by mistake and The Looney Tunes have to save her in a Basketball Game.
Plot Twist: Everyone will be played by Bill Murray.
-
Well, white audiences need something to compete with Madea.
-
I'll pass on this first one is fine by itself

why why why why why why why why why

Well, white audiences need something to compete with Madea.
Mrs. Doubtfire precedes the Madea series (which originated as plays) by about 6 years.
Not to mention the fact we got Big Momma's house on top of that.

Heard about this earlier, not interested, did not like the original.
-
I have no confidence in this being any good but I feel obligated by nostalgia to watch it.
-
I didn't really watch the original one until I was older, so I don't really feel compelled by nostalgia to watch the second one but >__> I wonder what they could possibly do with it..
-
The original was nothing special/memorable.
Don't have a clue why this is getting a sequel… -
Hollywood: We've run out of ideas again! I know…. let's give every 90's movie a sequel.
-

Don't have a clue why this is getting a sequel…Because the first one made 500 million dollars.
In 90's money.
-
If Robin Williams had to do a sequel to something I would accept a Hook 2. I would also watch a Jumanji 2.
Lol, this all sounds so terrible.
-
Yeah, not feeling this. The original movie, while not perfect…..I dunno, it has/had its charm, and I like watching it again when it's on from time to time. (although my favorite Robert Williams movie will always be Jumanji)
But a sequel, 20 plus years later???
-
-
Jumanji…in space, but it didn't have Robin Williams.

Same director, same premise, same universe. It was a sequel.
-
@Rob:
You mean Zathura?
@Rob:
Same director, same premise, same universe. It was a sequel.
eh….it was okay, I guess?
I remember being really surprised that Kristen Stewart was in it.
-
There's a Universe out there that has life endangering board games made for kids. I imagine the Willy Wonka equivalent of board game designers would be the masterminded behind that line of production.
"Isn't this fun kids?!"

Willy Wonka did a lot of his schemes to teach horrible kids that they need to stop being spoiled little shits.
So don't forget that besides asking if it's fun that you need an oompa loompa song about why the kids are little shits.
-
"Isn't this fun kids!? You little shits!"
cue song

Hollywood: We've run out of ideas again! I know…. let's give every 90's movie a sequel.
You know. I'm kind of sick of seeing people always jump to the conclusion that Hollywood doesn't have ideas. Or that some how they ran out of them. I think its a very generic and somewhat arrogant way of thinking about it. Because its not that Hollywood doesn't have fun or original ideas… its that movies cost too much. We see sequels and remakes not because they can't think of something original, but because they have an already establish fan base and interest is already there. Movies that can promise to give back the investors money plus some are the movies that get green lit.

Now I'm surprised at two things.
1. It made 500 million bucks in its time?!
2. It didn't have a sequel yet?!But I'm not really sure if a sequel to a film 20 years old will strike same box office gold just like the ol' days

1. It made 500 million bucks in its time?!Worldwide, yes.
2. It didn't have a sequel yet?!
Williams still had regular paychecks back in the 90's.

Don't have a clue why this is getting a sequel…I wonder the same thing about Dumb & Dumber it's prequel and it's sequel.
