! That kind of strategy becomes more effective with time. Defenders might not feel it that much yet, but by the time this second day is over, the fatigue is going to kick in. And they won't even be able to rest properly, because the Zhou night shift will pick up and start making noise again. In the third day, the militia will probably become close to useless. That's what Riboku is aiming for, anyway.

Season 2 of the anime just ended. Overall, it was pretty decent, less crappy cgi than the first season. Pretty faithful to the manga, except for all the adult-rated scenes and what not. Can't wait for Season 3 (if there is one).

The anime has plenty of blood. They just don't show heads and limbs flying around (although there are beheadings, if done subtly).
Just read the new series of chapters. That Zhao deputy is such nightmare fuel and that Fu Tei POS is so annoying. The author is making it really hard for me to like any of the Zhao characters. On the other hand, Reebok's strategy is very good, but we'll see if he needs Houken at the end to save his ass once again if the plan fails.
I'm thinking Yotanwa might be the end of Houken. How bout we finally see that legendary strength of her's?

According to wikipedia, her historical setting is mostly placed atleast 500 years after the unification.
If we were looking for putting a cluster of legendary figures of China in anachronistically, Mulan would be behind a whole list of other historical figures before being placed in, especially with the popularity of the three kingdoms era.

But that could work in the favour of Mulan, I mean the Three Kingdoms has been done to death.
And still is being done over and over. Still movies coming out for it, historical dramas, dynasty warriors stuff. Still hella popular even if it's being done over and over. Much as Mulan is known as someone really daring for being a woman in the military when it was an all-male conscription, the poem itself really doesn't delve too much into her beyond that. Which helps in some cases, say Kingdom for Warring States and how Disney expanded the story in their movie, but when it comes to larger than life legendary figures, Three Kingdoms is still way at the top in modern culture.
Either way, you can expect that Mulan won't show up in Kingdom.

Another sets of touching chapters. So Hara decided to keep Sei in the ordinary realm physical strength wise.
I was a bit disturbed from "somehow they were able to hold it out" way of story telling but leadership effects has to count for something too considering there are are beings who can rush through an army.
I didn't understood by the way why they have to defend for eight days? Are they expecting reinforcements to come? It's kind of crystal clear now Hara decided to use Yotanwa as a cliff hanger. Considering how even the name of Mountain Tribes or Yotanwa doesn't appear in even a panel. So the city will fall and we might get to see a escape fight in order to save the King and that will be the moment? (No spoiler tags please) :(
Great appearance Shin too. He had like +4 boost or something considering he killed like 10 guys before Sei fell of from his wounds.

I think the eight days thing is for Reebok-Sama's supplies to run out. There aren't really any options for reinforcements other than the mountain tribes, and unless someone was sent to ask them I don't really see that being a possibility.

Holy shit, I just realized something while reading up on the Warring States era on wikipedia. You guys know the great general Kouen mentioned by Kanmei and the king of Chu? I think he's Xiang Yan (might need people who know the kanji for his name to confirm this though), THE Xiang Yan who
! destroys Shin's Chu campaign. I'm basing this assumption on the fact that the characters for Kouyoku (you know, the smug Chu 1000 man commander with the Bakuya sword) are read as Xiang Yi. The En part of the name is just my assumption based on the fact that "En" is translated into Chinese as "Yan" (again, I don't know the specific characters for "Kouen" so I'll need confirmation). If this is true, I'm glad that Chu finally has a historical general that is somewhat known in English (again, it's from wikipedia so… and Shunshinkun doesn't count as a general) and that Hara didn't have to supposely pull this guy out of thin air like Kanmei, Karin, and Rinbukun. Also, this Kouen could be Kouyoku's dad or something, making him kinda like Ouhon.

This has already been mentioned in this thread btw and, iirc, there was a little remark in the story highlighting Kouyoku´s importance, if, looking at the historical Xiang Yi, can not be emphasized enough. And btw, Xiang Yan is Xiang Yi´s grandfather and fought against the historical Ousen as well.

Really? I don't recall anyone mentioning this, must've been before I joined. I also don't recall the story emphasizing Kouyoku's importance per se, yeah the dude has the Bakuya so at least he's an elevated mook. Maybe it's because the names had the Japanese pronunciations so I don't pay them much attention at first. I was just bored today when I "discovered" this info after all, by reading wikipedia and the names spreadsheet from Turnip farmers. BTW how do you know that Xiang Yan is Xiang Yi's grandfather? Huh, that's funny, I remember wikipedia saying that Xiang Yan committed suicide after the loss but it is wikipedia after all. For Kouyoku, at least we can all agree that he will be significant later on. I wonder if anyone else has Bakuya level weapons out there.

Yang Duanhe was a historical general of Qin, but more than likely the general was a male. Same with Qiang Lei. We basically don't really know much of anything of these guys' histories, so Hara got pretty creative with the mountain tribe and assassin backhistory lol

! Thank ya. Not complaining. It makes for better storytelling if the author can incorporate it the right way. I mean considering I don't think the author wants to end in tragedy, plus the little information we have on the actual Era, he has to do what is necessary.
I have Seen it now, Sosuis Stats are realy good… Hes Clearly beside of Kyokai the best Allrounder in the hi Shin Unit.
Speaking of stats, I'd like to see how stacked the top tier of the Hi Shin unit really is. You have the monster strength guys in Denyuu, Ryuusen, Chutetsu, and Duke Hyou soldiers (and maybe the Kakubi guys too, who were hyped during the 2nd Wei arc); lieutenant En; that one swordplay fetishist with the eye patch (wonder why Shin never took lessons from this guy, sure he had Kyoukai but we all know Shin ain't adapting dance moves into his arsenal anytime soon); and maybe Shousa.
