Naruto in 7th?!
Bleach second to last?!
That's just awesome.

Sigh, IK is dead last.
I guess the current Eye-ball-monster and JSDF arc is the closing arc for the series.
It was just getting fun too.
@Kaizou:
Nope, it is 6th.
Stealth Symphony (Cover, Lead CP, New Series)
One Piece - 1
Kuroko no Basket - 2
I Shoujo (CP)
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu - 3
Toriko - 4
Illegal Rare - 5
Shokugeki no Souma - 6
Naruto - 7
That's how I count it
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh, right, Illegal Rare is new and doesn't count, right?
Eh, still
Really sad for Iron Knight.
Maybe Jump will give Iron Knight the ST&RS treatment and ignore its crappy ratings and just believe! (Super optimistic thinking, RIP IK)
Hm, I wonder why Iron Knight got so low rankings. The Oneshot was pretty awesome and as far as I remember it got good reviews as well.
Was it the changes of making the protagonist younger/make him be able to speak and turn into being a human whenever he wanted to/have the ice bunny as partner?
Hm, dunno. Maybe I myself would have found it even more interesting if the protagonist would have stayed in his monsterform and is unable to speak properly like in the Onshot, but could still try to write like Elisabeth from Gintama or use his powers to form short one wort answers with his melting iron. Or have the Ice bunny be the one who translate his gibberish for humans or something like that.
Beelzebub gets a spinoff? YES! Hope it's about Beel being a teen or something like that! :D
We're talking about a whole new series for Beelzebub, right? A Beelzebub 2 so to say?
Aww, man, WT is absent. Why? I wanted to see the 50th chapter with the battles against the super rabbit! D:

I think I've read only 5-6 chapters of it, but it's already more entertaining than a lot of the other series in the magazine. Too bad the readers don't share that sentiment.

No probably not. It will be in Jump Next. Jump next is a bimonthly magazine. This means 1 chapter every two months. The “spin off” will most likely just be a few epilogue chapters or self-contain special chapters or something like that and there is probably going to be just a few chapters. Maybe just one.

I really really liked the first chapter and since then I just lost interest. To me it just feels like it didn't utilize its potential and just became a competently executed series with nothing special to it. That said I think most people I've seen in its thread still seem to like it quite a bit.
I like it because it just a well-executed, solid series. Unlike so many recent new starts in WSJ this one is constantly just fine and that's something I adore. Not everything has to be unique or with a twist to be well off.

I don't think you read far enough into it.
Using its inherently high temperature power to tamper iron and craft objects, hence the name Iron Knight, was pretty cool.
And it did utilize the uniqueness of its situation such as being a monster among men, the introduction of the military's fate in an apocalyptic world, monsters arming themselves with modern weaponry, symbolically "white rabbit" who guides him, etc. I don't think lack of utilizing potential is the case here.

I've only read until the conclusion of the whole shunned for being a monster thing. Where he goes to rescue his friend's mother and they make up.
Reconsidering, not utilizing its potential isn't necessarily the right way to put it, because what it boils down to is that I wanted this to go in a different direction.
What drew me to the series in the first chapters was the setting and the sense of solitude that came with those.
I would have liked it if that atmosphere would have been utilized a bit more before it went to "meeting groups of people".
Like maybe a short storyline involving 1 or 2 people being separated from their group and when he tries to help them it doesn't end up the way he imagined.
Slowly building up that aspect that the way people see him and the way he imagines himself as a hero clash and practically going a bit into what fear can do to people(just a very basic example).
And there is certainly a bit bias speaking here cause I fell a bit into the trap that are post apocalyptic stories last year and getting really fascinated by the concept of people being stripped down to their bare essentials and what that does for characterization.
Anyways, what killed my interest for now is the way that "shunned for being a monster" arc went. It just kind of went very typical with the easy solution "hey I'm going to rescue them" that will resolve all problems. And while there's actually nothing wrong with that In my humble opinion I thought that arc could have gone a few other ways that I thought could have been more interesting. Like actual in group conflict, I was a bit surprised by how in tune that group of people were. Like nobody thought: "hey this is the first friendly monster we've met and he's also someone we know maybe we should consider the possibility of using that to our advantage."
And the same goes for the reverse situation, one rescue and everyone in that group suddenly trusts him? I feel like there would have to be at least some people holding irrational grudes or can't let go of their fear and mistrust.
So yeah I don't know I still think it's pretty competent it just doesn't seem to have that spark to get me hooked.

By Amano Youichi (author of Over Time, Akaboshi -Ibun Suikoden-, and Examurai (this one is from Jump SQ.))
Quite interesting.
The new manga by the Akaboshi artist and Baccano writer, is ALSO about a world full of monsters living with humans.
Not to mention the special snowflake ancient monster protagonists.
And also gorgeous artwork.
First Hachi/Iron Knight and now Illegal Rare/Stealth Symphony, is WSJ doing this on purpose?
Like, pitting similar new manga against each other or something?
Both IR and SS are pretty fun read.

Yes! GJ, WT! Over 75k sold volumes in two weeks which is (to my information) the best a WT volume managed to get sold in such a time. <3
Hope its future volumes will sell just as well above 50k then over 100+ chapters and a possible anime next year/the year after next year might be in it! :D

Didn't IK essentially replace Hachi, only to then tank and end up cancelled as well ?
Seems like Jump did a bit of a dick move there.

Oh the guy got a writer? Nice I really liked the artwork in Akaboshi but man that was not fun to read.
Well at least it made me want to play Suikoden.
It is confirmed that Studio Pierrot going to work on upcoming Tokyo Ghoul anime. The directer will be Morita Shuuhei.

NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
It was that studio that worked in Kingdom! And Naruto and Bleach!
I hope Terra Formars get a better studio and that Tokyo Ghoul is at least decently animated.

Jump Comics March Releases Covers:
Woah, Toriko's neck is freakin huge. Is that orange ball Koro-sensei?
Kuroko looks younger in that cover…
Also, Naruto vol. 69 will be released May 2. http://www.shonenjump.com/j/rensai/list/naruto.html
Hmm, that Toriko cover sure looks enexciting.
Is that orange ball Koro-sensei?
That orange ball is indeed Korosensei. That was a thing that happened in volume 7. For about a second I was all "Wait, that cover doesn't match the other ones!" then I remembered that thing that happened in volume 7 and so that now makes perfect sense that Korosensei's face doesn't completely cover the entire front page like it has for every previous volume.

Thanks, I love how he's so carefree or whatever in that cover.
I just realized that Heart of the Wolf was a Bleach Volume.

And Bleach is in the bottom 3 ladies and gentlemen.
Take the hint Kubo. You seemed to during The Thing that Must Not Be Named (Due to me not wanting to have a higher blood pressure then I already have).
Aww, Iron Knight.
Hmm, wonder how many weeks later will the next cancellation round be. Assuming within 10-12 weeks, Iron Knight's really the only one that jumps out as in danger, barring extraordinarily bad reaction to one of the new series.

I think we have to wait at least until Illegal Rare starts its official ranking.

If I count this right then WT is on place 6? Wow, not bad at all.
Looks pretty bad for Iron Knight though. Looks like small heroes aren't that popular nowadays.

No, World Trigger is in 5th. I Shoujo isn't ranked yet.
About Iron Knight, I think the problem is the lack in world building and the fact that things could be more … more, but is still possible that it survives next cancellation phase(that I believe will only be one title) and it get a lot better, just like World Trigger.

Sometimes I think Jump rankings are a math world for itself with me not understanding any of it. XD
Thanks for clearing that up, 5th place or Top 5 is even better than what I thought with 6th place! Hope the neighbor invasion arc can keep this interest up for a while and have a positive effect on the sales. :)
Yeah, maybe IK will be as lucky as WT was back then when WT did very poorly and survives the first cancellation phase and get better. And if not then it went the same way as Hachi and many other short lived Jump mangas did.
My memory could be off, but I don't recall WT dropping to dead bottom two weeks in a row.
Just comparatively low, not "sink like rock" like IK is doing.

At that time there was a lot of other new series that were ranked really poorly too. Iron Knight is unlucky because 3 series(were 3 or 4??) were cancelled at the same time and he was the only new series from the last phase too, while world trigger began with Koisuru no Edison.
First, World Trigger was in the bottom middle of the rankings where it was ranked better than, Hungry Joker, Kiruku-san, Koisuru Edison, Cross Manage, Kochikame, Sket Dance and Medaka box and sometimes Beelzebub. At that time there was a lot more concurrence to the last positions.
After the next cancellation phase, World Trigger was 3 consecutive weeks in 3rd place(counting from bottom), only above Koisuru no Edison and Cross Manage and than suddenly jumped to 7th(counting from bottom and counting Kochikame), where it stayed there for quite sometime and only after that it Started receiving the good rankings of today.
Iron knight is in a worse situation, but when the 4 new titles start ranking than there we can see if it will be like World Trigger and be above all of those, or if it will still be in the bottom.
I believe next phase only one title will be canceled, so it can be one of the new series that is doing really badly(like Mutou Black) or Bleach(:P, It would be a dream, a good dream XD).
I think you are dreaming. It ranked bad before the 8th chapter and has not left the bottom since. Why would they not cancel it ? There are few obvious candidate for the next round but this one.

As I said is in a worse situation than World Trigger, but maybe possible can do the same as World Trigger, but of course is dependent in his next chapters and the new series. If one of the new series is like Mutou Black, than is possible.
As I said too, Iron Knight as the problem of world building, there is practically nothing and we are in the 9th chapter(I don't really know in what chapter is in Japan, but there are already 7 chapters translated and It have at least two rankings already, right?) already and there is something missing, something that would excite(at least me) more. And for what I seen of the new series, Stealth Symphony and Illegal Rare, they have a pretty good first chapter. So yep, probably will end cancelled early, but is still possible to go into a World Trigger, but improbable.
P.S: Bleach being cancelled is totally a dream :P
Being that Bleach is in its last arc, I have my doubts that its rank is of much import now, especially now that it's been the same crap for the past forever. Well, then again, it might actually help expedite this slog.
i think Bleach will end this year…
Let's see what needs to wrap up this year for Bleach:
1. Final Fight against Yahowach. That's at least ten chapters right there unless Kubo expedites it like he did with Ginjou
2. Speaking of Ginjou, him and the other two are probably going to show up. So that's like another three to six chapters at least having them come in and doing fight stuff
3. The rest of the alphabet needs to show up and show off only to get their asses owned
4. Kepnachi needs to show up
5. Byakuya still has to show off
6. Ichigo hasn't even gotten to soul society yet.
7. Some sort of angsty fight against Ishida.
Kubo could easily stretch this arc til next year unless "higher management" steps in.
I wouldn't use WT, which quickly got a 3rd color page, as an example to give hope for IK. Soul Catcher(s) is a better example.
