Wait….We were given a hint to who Makino's Baby daddy is?
Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"
-
-
@kuma:
I hope the next chapter focuses on D block, Sabo can wait to the new year.
I myself just want more Tamago goodness.
-
SABO'S BACK, he is!! :D
Great chapter, can't wait to see him and Koala in action!
-
Yep, just a little stone. sarcastically
If he was just a stone he wouldn't be a character as big as he is now. Otherwise it would be "destroy the factory and were done." Done think Kaido is next because we got Wano and Zou which would have Doflamingo involvement there.
He may or may not be defeated in one fight as many things will be happening at the same time and interruptions are likely, I appreciate that he is one of your favourite characters in One Piece but he has been built up so much so that the fall is all the more epic when it happens. In the fights in previous saga's the end boss has always underestimated Luffy and Luffy has been able to escape to fight again but I dont think Doffy will do that and thus Luffy cant afford to lose. As for your forum name you can always change it once Doffy has been put down, Impel Down that is.
-
obviously shanks
Well, if you look the child, the hair colour would actually point more to the Sabo than Shanks. Also (just my opinion) i dont believe that Shanks ever returned to the fuusha. I cant see him just to abandon his areas in nw only to sneak back to the east blue just to bang that pretty hot bartender.
And, when oda points that it is really some person we most likely know (how would you introduce that new random person who had a child with a side character named makino? What sense would that make?), then the only known people who could have had business in the Goa kingdom and possibly had a relationship with makino are sabo, or maybe Ace (unlikely, but the age of the child after the time skip would be possible)
And from these two, i give my vote for Sabo. -
@Devil:
I myself just want more Tamago goodness.
Oh yeah forgot about him, but I have a bad feeling he'll be completely destroyed by sanji.
-
@kuma:

He's probably a bit stronger than Pekoms due to him not taking action yet. I can see Sanji defeating him after a hard fight, but as much as destroyed? I would cry like a 3-year old kid.

I feel your pain I want to seen him give Sanji a good fight too, but I just have this feeling he'll do to him what he did to Absalom and squash him.
-
I wonder what kind of excuse Sabo has for not coming to save his brother in the war?
-
Lucci had to be defeated right there at the palace in water 7, Luffy was so determined and Pissed off. What happened? I'll leave it up to you to think.
What I'm saying is he probably won't be defeated this arc, by Luffy in a one on one first fight.usually luffy would lose his first fight so we can see how powerful this antagonist is
but in DD's case law played that role perfectly ,, so i don't expect luffy would lose one on one against DDi also think luffy is more powerful than most people predict .. that would make sense if he's gonna confront a yonkou
in a couple of arcs if not sooner and before that he should be strong enough to compete with admiral level people and above -
@kuma:

Tamago is no foul pervert though, but a classy and politic gentleman. He has to fall with elegance
-
No reason for Sabo to go to the ring now since block D isn't over yet.
Barto won't join, basically because Luffy doesn't need him.
Very simple reason but the most important one.DoFlamingo won't have his ass kicked for good in Dressrosa.
He'll be saved by CP0/Fujitora/unknown.Kidd and co will show up against Big Mom and give the Curly pirate crew the time to reach Zou.
Moria won't show up now.
We will get some build up through Absalom before he appears again.
By the way there's no reason why Absalom couldn't be in Dressrosa right now.Dofla will kidnap either Rebecca or Violet.
I would have expected a WB commander but that would be plain overkill now, really too much.

Nearly all the warlords have been stepping stones, it doesn't suddenly make their involvement small let alone irrelevant. Don flamingo has not just been hyped up as dangerous, but also in dire need of an ass whooping. The fact luffy doesn't have to fight this person multiple times in itself is a stepping stone. It's been foreshadowed consistantly that luffy needs to get serious, don flamingo set the stage for a character who genuinely well deserving of that ass kicking.
You can agree to disagree but your comparisons with previous arch villains is just wrong. You may as well consider don flamingo a whole other archetype, his arrogance because of his status, along with his disregard of human life, (see rebecca) along with beating luffys friend in front of him, that's a whole other rage we haven't seen yet.

in a couple of arcs if not sooner and before that he should be strong enough to compete with admiral level people and aboveDevelopment has always been a big part of One Piece in the past and it'll continue to be so. In the first part the to beat opponents would be Shichibukai like Moria or Crocodile and higher ranking marines, most under vice-admiral lvl but in the New World, after their training for 2 years they have moved up to another tier where the to beat opponents will be Yonkou and very high lvl subordinates and vice admirals and admirals. Luffy should not be on a lvl that he can beat these opponents yet (except some Vice Admirals) because their development is stll in progress and like the first half of the grand line was a filter that left only those good enough for the New World, the New World will function as a filter once more for those that could not stand up against the yonkou and were defeated or had no choice but to join them and those with the resolve and the tenacity (and skill)to work there way up to stand up against them and be victorious or stay under their radar, forever being no more than a little no name fish in a giant sea.
What I'm saying is that Yonkou and admirals are the ones that are at the top of the world strength-wise and the SH's have still a long way to go before they are there. Luffy beating an admiral or a yonkou on his own is just not going to happen. -
I can't wait to see more of the revolutionary army. Does anyone think they might have a greater motive than solely get the mera mera fruit? I mean, the announcement was made the day before they arrived at Dressrosa (I assume). So they must've departed way before that, right?
-
I'm sure they want to make Dressrosa join their cause.
-
@kuma:
Oh yeah forgot about him, but I have a bad feeling he'll be completely destroyed by sanji.
I highly doubt that a presumably high ranking member of a Yonkou crew is weaker than freaking Vergo, who Oda went out of his way to show he'd trash Sanji if the fight had continued any longer. If anything, Sanji will be the one getting completely destroyed and have to wait until round 2 to beat Tamago.
-

Quoting myself from3 pages back:
I'm thinking Sabo isn't just there for the fruit. If it were so easy for him to go on personal side missions he could've gone to marineford or let Luffy and Ace know he was alive. Anyhow, it would be quite the coincidence if the revolutionaries would show up in a country of which the newspaper said the king, affiliated with their enemy, the WG, has stepped down. This would also explain CP0's involvement seeing it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for them to think the revo's might take a shot at "liberating" Dressrosa. King Riku wouldn't particularly mind I think, seeing he probably wouldn't want to be affiliated with the WG after this anyway…

Doflamingo keeps his promises, if he did not care about human life he would have killed Riku on the spot, we all know he didn't, yeah he is bad, but who isn't in the world of One Piece? Yes he needs to be defeated, just not yet (This Arc) is all i am saying.

from fights in new world that can transform him from not able to compete with admiral level into beating a younkou in a month or so !!!
if his training 2 years with the vice pirate king wasn't enough to make him compete with an admiral now "not beating him"
how would he even stand for a second in front of big mom or kaido ? -
I highly doubt that a presumably high ranking member of a Yonkou crew is weaker than freaking Vergo, who Oda went out of his way to show he'd trash Sanji if the fight had continued any longer. If anything, Sanji will be the one getting completely destroyed and have to wait until round 2 to beat Tamago.
As much as I think there's no bigger fan of the Baron than me ( hell, his reapparition is the thing I've been looking forward to the most ), I think Sanji is around his level.
And Vergo certainly wouldn't have trashed Sanji, but I don't want to have to have this argument for the hundredth time :P
-
Fights I am looking forward in this arc:
- Sabo vs Burgess:
It is almost confirmed that Sabo is going to take the fruit. Now the question is if the tournament will be interrupted or not, that means if it goes on Sabo will wipe the floor with Burgess, while if the tournament gets interrupted Sabo will take the fruit with just giving some blows to Burgess and not defeating him. Anyway, I am really looking forward to this fight, I want to see Sabo's strength, way of fight, style, and techniques.
2. Zoro vs Fujitora: I really hope that we see a rematch from those two. We have still not seen too much of Zoro, to say it better we still have not seen anything from Zoro. I mean he was trained by a badass shichibukai, the strongest swordsman in the world, and in top of that the training that usually Zoro does, his brutal strength, swordplay, and eye mystery, just makes an admiral a perfect opponent to test him. I think that skirmish in the past chapter was epic, and just gives more heat to their rematch!
3. Luffy vs Doflamingo: I think it is almost certain that Luffy is gonna beat the shit out of Doflamingo. He is definitely going down this arc, and I definitely see Luffy defeating him in a single battle. I ranked this as 3rd because of the conclusion which I assume to occur, even though you never be sure in One Piece. However, just the fight and the way Luffy is going to go against such a powerful opponent is going to be epic, and great to see.
4. Sanji vs Baron Tamago/Pekomz/Other BigMom Officer:
I am really thinking Sanji is fucking outnumbered, but I can definitely see a fight between him and Tamago/Pekomz/other. That could be a great test for Sanji seeing that those dudes are quite tough. However we might be trolled by Oda and get Sanji humiliated by BigMom herself or her first hand/commander, which I would not really want to happen because Sanji needs to shine after that defeat against Doflamingo. I think this battle is going to be quite interesting. I like the badass-ness of Sanji, can't wait to see him in action.5. Bartolomeo vs Diamante:
I think Bart is gonna join Straw-hats, but anyway he must do something to help Luffy right now. The only way to help him is by getting the fruit, and since Sabo is gonna get this honor Bart is just gonna help him out. I can definitely see Cavendish abandoning the tournament going after Luffy or something, and then Sabo vs Burgess and Bart vs Diamante happens. Anyway this battle would be awesome to see Bart furious to defeat everyone who gets infront of him trying to get the fruit.I think due to countless characters in this arc, we gonna see a lot of other great battles, like the ones that are going to fight Trebol, Pica, and maybe Bastille and CP0. Just can't wait for the shit to get real man.
- Sabo vs Burgess:
-
@Master:
snip
If Zoro gets taken out now, he and all the Admirals will look inferior for the rest of the series. It's way too early on and Issho will most likely be against Doflamingo by the end of this arc. Zoro will probably fight Pica.

As I said he is your favourite character as your post above confirms without a doubt, as you are now making excuses for his actions so that they don't appear so bad… He is by far the worst character so far in the manga and even beats Blackbeard in that regard, he is a slaver, a liar, a fraud and is going to get what's coming to him in this Arc not the next as the foreshadowing of this is too much to ignore. Even the Admiral is going to turn against him when he finds out and he will find out, as Violet has the perfect fruit to show him the truth with and both of them will be at the palace. Its not looking good for Doffy at all, he has no idea how large the forces are against him and he thinks that Luffy is outnumbered and outgunned but we know that is not the case. He still believes that the fight for Ace's fruit will keep Luffy busy in the tournament as well and that's not the case any more either. He is toast.

I agree Devil G, Sanji was already injured before the fight with Vergo started and was giving as good as he got until his already injured leg gave way.

I think, Big Mom or Kaidou, whoever gets it first isn't going to be beaten in a one on one fight at all. They'll first take away the foundations of the yonkous' empire and than they'll attack together when they have crippled the foundations enough.
-
No reason for Sabo to go to the ring now since block D isn't over yet.
It already started. It would be against the rules.

What about new pirates appear after they defeat the toy girl , I mean , pirates who were turned into toys in the past ?
-
I have a feeling that Oda was saving the eyepatch for Sabo.
-

Good point, could be any number of strong pirates who will look very kindly on Luffy when they find out he freed them.

Fujitora will probably switch sides soon or become neutral at least. He mentioned making a decision after talking with Dofla.
-
Lol at the guys who are like "oh Sabo appeared…I knew he wasn't dead. Not surprised"
OF COURSE HE WASN'T DEAD SMARTASSES!!! But as for me, I'm excited as FOK because he FINALLY appeared and at the least expected moment! -
I'm thinking Sabo isn't just there for the fruit.
I'm pretty sure that the guy is here for the same reason Chinjao and his GS are in Dressrosa right now, Luffy and the fruit are just a bonus
-
I have a feeling that Oda was saving the eyepatch for Sabo.
Hey, this is actually a pretty cool idea.
-
Osashiburi APF!
Here you go! This guy is a bit excited
I sympathize with this guy. I had to take anti-anxiety pills and return to this forum just to vent.
But now I'm here, I don't even know what to say. Next, Dragon shows up with Luffy's mom and his aunt Crocodile.
BTW, who said Koala was Robin's sister? Just because they scrubbed floors as children doesn't mean they're blood-related. Koala refers to Robin as "Sis" like how buddies who are guys refer to each other as "Bro".

Anyway, I am really looking forward to this fight, I want to see Sabo's strength, way of fight, style, and techniques.
As much as a lot of people would like to see this happen i don't think people should be underestimating burgess and overestimating Sabo. Yes Sabo has the possibility of being super strong, possibly around Luffys level with a different type of fighting skill. Burgess is the Yonkous first Division commander and i'm sure he has improved majorly since the time skip.
People stating what they are going to do, no matter how awesome it is should be accepted. Remember that Luffy wanted to save Ace, and nothing was going to stop him. People would have thought "oh yeah Ace has to be saved, it's pretty much only confirmed", until the time comes when Ace dies.I'd say not to jump into conclusions with that yet.
I agree, although i'd prefer it if Fujitora would not lose, not saying he would but, seeing Zoro fight an Admiral sword fighter with a pretty amazing ability would be able to determine where Zoro would be with his Swordplay and Admiral "Hold offs".
Seeing a Duo fight; Doflamingo vs Luffy and Fujitora vs Zoro going on at the same time in the palace would be pretty amazing and i hope it happens. Zoro is not going to be destroyed and neither will Luffy. Both of the SH powerhouses will be tested in strength but no victor will emerge from these fights. Fujitora and Doflamingo are a deadly combo (assuming they fight together), although both Zoro and Luffy would be at the disadvantaged end of the fight and not having it go their way.
I'm more interested to see Zoro vs Fujitora rather than seeing more abilities and capabilities on Doflamingo and Luffys part (ESPECIALLY Doflamingo).
Yes the opponent is epic, but as i mentioned in the "Zoro vs Fujitora" section, Luffy and Zoro would be at a great disadvantage.
Yes people consider that Doflamingo is the stepping stone against Luffy and their voyage to Kaido, but now people think they are overestimating Doflamingo so they now underestimate Doflamingo and overestimate Luffy so people would see Luffy being the clear victor after a hard fought battle.Think of it like this, what if Kaido was one of the biggest baddest characters that has pulled of 10 times more than Doflamingo has done, would Luffy be able to take down Kaido in a one on one? He could have all the conviction and willpower he wants to be wanting to defeat Kaido but does that pretty much confirm Kaido will be done with in a one on one fight?
Doflamingo being defeated in let's say within 10 chapters? Probably a few chapters to actually get to the palace, there will probably be some chat but there won't be a clear outcome within the fight. Doflamingo and Fujitora may need to be somewhere, therefore causing the fight to not end.
Involvement of Doflamingo in Zou in Wano would have the defeat of Doflamingo seen or some other big shot doing it.
The man tried to take on all of G5, the Strawhats and Law BY HIMSELF in Punk Hazard, that should tell us something. We know that he doesn't underestimate the Strawhats and he knows what all of them are capable of so that should tell us something as well. - Sabo vs Burgess:
-
He wouldn't last, Law knows this and therefor we have this elaborate plan for taking out Kaidou just like Kid, Basil and Apoo are scheming to take a yonkou down… It's a joint effort. I think, Big Mom or Kaidou, whoever gets it first isn't going to be beaten in a one on one fight at all. They'll first take away the foundations of the yonkous' empire and than they'll attack together when they have crippled the foundations enough.
that's right if you're talking about kid alliance but for the future pirate king he will be the strongest in the world
he will have to win his own fights by himself and he will have to confront an emperor sooner or later , and later is not a long time
considering one piece timing and that it's a shonen story , he wont be the pirate king at 29 or something
also we know that's how oda always set up luffy's big fights -

I would imagine Sanji can't fight both of them, so I don't see this ending well unless something crazy like Dragon showing up ends the fight. My guess is they run away, maybe a short skirmish with Sanji and one of the two, then run away. Maybe a short skirmish against one of the two, maybe a short skirmish between Zoro and Fujitora again but a bit longer this time.. obviously Fujitora would have the upper hand but it would be interesting to see nonetheless.

We know that he doesn't underestimate the Strawhats and he knows what all of them are capable of so that should tell us something as well.Yes, in terms of underestimating people, Doflamingo is a complete idiot.

why is everyone thinking Pekoms and tamago are actually strong? These guys are the Rockstars of Bigmom, they are better dishwashers, bringer her the Candys she wants. You think she would actually send out her strongest fighters to bring her candy?

I would imagine Sanji can't fight both of them, so I don't see this ending well unless something crazy like Dragon showing up ends the fight. My guess is they run away, maybe a short skirmish with Sanji and one of the two, then run away. Maybe a short skirmish against one of the two, maybe a short skirmish between Zoro and Fujitora again but a bit longer this time.. obviously Fujitora would have the upper hand but it would be interesting to see nonetheless.
Who are you referring to in the bolded? I think that Oda has proved his point when it comes to Zoro vs an Admiral already

There may be 2-3 years until we may see Kaido in a fight lol. (Real life years not One Piece years.
that's like a week or so in one piece world LOL

Big Mom destroys countries for candy. You think she would send two nobodies to complete such an important task? It's clear they are experienced and strong fighters.
Just look at him. If he isn't the classiest mofo around, your eyesight needs some repairing.

I'm thinking Pekoms and Tamago may not even be commanders but are just the strong fighters in 1 of her divisions. I wouldn't be surprised if that ship is the real commander and threat, rather than those 2.
