@Apprentice:
This is coming from a huge law fan right here. He's probably my 5th favorite character and Don isnt even in my top 20. But you're wrong. We have time and time again seen that powerful people can fight and fight and fight and keep going and still overcome strong opponents. Moria may not have been Donflamingo level strong but he was powerful and luffy was almost certainly weaker than law is now yet luffy was able to fight all night and still overcome moria on his own. The same with him in enies lobby, the entire crew back in alabasta and plenty of other strong guys.
Law was barely able to touch Don. If he got a couple good hits in but quickly went down i could see the arguement that its from exhaustion but the way its presented it seems pretty obvious that even if law was fresh he wouldn't have lasted more than 2 or 3 minutes.
The problem with Law is that if he does hit you, you're dead. I know Doflamingo has plenty of 1 hit kills, but no character in One Piece seems to have a power specifically to take you out with all your major attacks and every other attack is to position yourself to do exactly that. Other than his thunder attack anyways. Imagine if Law caught DD with Mes when he tried to attack his head, the fight would have been over.. and that would have been boring. Anyways he got his heart crushed, was hit by Vergo for a while, then fought an Admiral and Doflamingo for 15 minutes just so he can give more time to SHs, on top of rescuing half the crew from Doflamingo and Fujitora's meteors.. when his power is consumed the more he uses it. I would have liked Law to do something against Doflamingo during the second round, but I don't think the difference between them is really big.. though I could be wrong.
One thing I notice, is Oda seems to like drawing Law getting crushed.. or put in the worst possible situations. Imagine all the biggest beatings Luffy or Zoro have gotten so far in the series, and simply put them in two arcs that are right after one another. This is what happened to Law, the guy has some serious endurance in terms of taking a beating. Got the biggest handicap with his heart at Punk Hazard, and beaten senselessly on top of getting his heart crushed by Vergo there. Didn't even have a day to rest, got caught in a sandwich between Doflamingo and Fujitora, and his option wasn't running but he had to stay there and take a beating.. then after taking a beating he had to fight Doflamingo who was perfectly fine at the time. I can already imagine the last pannel of a future arc.. Law beats a really tough enemy, uses some energy then someone just pops out of nowhere from behind.. "a wild Kaido has appeared" "attacks" "it's super effective".
He was also tired and it seems his overpowered fruit finally seems to have some sort of weakness. I still think and this depends on Oda of course, that Law's power has the biggest potential to be easily the strongest power in the OP world. Imagine if at the end of the series, with Tact, he basically has Shiki's power in terms of range and scale, his Room can encompass an entire island and he can teleport between them as long as he can see both islands including his submarine along with many other ships, his normal cuts cut anyone in the series and this thunder power (can't recall the name) extends in both power and scale similar to Tact. On top of that, he could get attacks like a doctor that paralyze you or put you to sleep by touching stabbing you with his finger. Yeah, his potential is enormous if Oda wants to take it that far.. if he doesn't die the next chapter. :ninja: Also, why on Earth do I have 12 notifications, this is going to take me an hour or so just to read them all so I can respond to them all…
EDIT: Also Law is the ultimate troll in One Piece. Even after getting his ass kicked completely, he finds a way to infuriate Doflamingo with a simple line. He really knows what to say. I am certain as someone said earlier, when he was talking to X Drake, Law was probably being incredibly sarcastic when he asked him how many people he's killed. It's likely Drake doesn't kill anyone, part of some type of code he has.
