@Homezslice:
So… I feel I need to be honest here a minute. I'm a huge fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I love the characters, the powers, the weird plots, everything... but I often find myself having a hard time reading the series, especially from Part to Part. I couldn't just jump into Part 5 after reading Part 4... I feel like I need to give myself time to come down off the hype from each story arc and allow the new story arc to recapture me.
That being said, I STILL struggle to get through Parts 5 and 6... I don't know why, I just find them really boring in comparison to Parts 2, 3, and 4. Maybe it's that I don't find Giorno or Jolyne as interesting as I found Joseph, Jotaro, or Josuke.
Does any else see where I'm coming from? or am I alone on all this?
Felt the same. The transition between the parts is sometimes hard, because they are completely new stories. Especially with Part 4, where all these characters were still alive and still had so much room left to develop.
That said, despite the bad reputation among some fans I hugely enjoyed Part 5, particularly because I already knew about and was prepared for the major flaws like the boring MC and his overpowered ability, King Crimson, the BS endfight. And Giorno is not really the overbearing main character here and the other members of Passione all get the same amount of focus.
I dont know how far into Part 5 you are, but it really picks up after the opening volumes.
