Well Jozu couldn't resist it, I don't see why Sanji is different unless Oda want to flag that chivalry nonsense again.

No, he only stopped Jozu on his tracks, If Doflamingo were able to control people like Jozu his Devil Fruit will be OP as F* because nothing will assure us that he cannot control admirals or even Yonkous and keep in mind that Jozu was fighting Crocodile so he was distracted at that time, If it were a fight between the two, I don't think Doflamingo will be able to do it
@indigo~ink:
^ Could Law theoretically cut Doffy's "strings" with his own DF?
if they are real strings of course he can.

Dude, didn't he like, make Bellamy and his friend fight each other? remember?
He never controlled Bellamy. Only Sarquiss.
Not that that's really good evidence of who he's capable of controlling one way or the other.

What? Jozu was heading for Croc to punch him, there was a panel where DD moved his fingers and Jozu stopped midway. He was frozen for few minutes while DD leisurely have conversation with Croc about joining him. Jozu couldn't move an inch until Croc blew both of them away and you think he wasn't controlled? Dearie me. DD wasn't planning on attacking Croc, DD stopped Croc from getting attacked.

He stopped Jozu is the correct word.

Could that be evidence of the amount of people he can control at once, though? I remember that he also only controlled one of the marines at the Shichibukai meeting.
Have we ever seen Dofla control more than one person?

No.we have only seen dofla controlling one person at a time.and no he didnt control jozu he just stopped him because he was off guard.if he was able to control admiral level guys it would be too OP

Doflamingo controlled Sarqiss, who is nowhere near Jozu strength wise

Doflamingo stopped a distracted Jozu in his track like I said, he did not control him and apparently you think that stopping somebody is the same as controlling somebody which is absurd
The bolded part actually made laugh

Controlled or stopped, it doesn't matter. Whatever he did to Jozu was made possible by his DF power. Either Jozu was distracted or not is irrelevant. Fact is that DF power worked on him. If that DF power worked on someone like Jozu, I'm sure it will work on Sanji as well.

Oh god, how can you say it doesn't matter or is irrelevant when where are discussing Doflamingo's devil fruit and his ability? at this moment we posses four examples of Doflamingo using his ability Sarquiss, The marine guy, Baby 5 and Jozu, Doflamingo controlled 3 of those guys and he stopped one who is above the three people he controlled, which means that he cannot do as he pleases with people near or above his level unless this person is injured or is unable to fight and again it work on Jozu because he wasn't fighting Doflamingo

That's just speculation. He wanted to speak with Croc and he sat on Jozu while he converse with Croc, there was no reason to move Jozu around. If it was an issue of "wills", then Jozu should have moved rather he stood there like a puppy.
I'm really more interested in seeing dd vs Fuji. Fuji is supposed to be a real beast. Dofla will most likely whoop Sanji eventually, and I think Fuji will help Sanji and the crew. Oda didn't show luffy helping Fuji out and Fuji appreciating it and not taking on luffy then for nothing.
the next chapter will go out early?

Im sure fuji can beat dofla.i also think that he will help the straw hats by turning a blind eye (:ninja:) to their actions, but later in the story a fight between them will be inevitable
props to you, awesome deduction
@moe:
I've always had that gut feeling that sanji would be the one to take down doflamingo. He might not win but I'm glad the fight is happening. I always had the idea that his will to not hit women would make him the first person to overpower doflas devil fruit.
I dont have any clue what is hidden beyond aokiji's secret contact with teach…
He really is plotting something. I think he has found something interesting about WG or the underground dealers. Or he's gonna ruin DD's plans, whatever he has (become pirate king?? )
It's funny how Sanji said "I will take on any demon" here
! and now in Dressrosa he's taking on the "Sky-Demon" and his crewmates are cheering for him.

What are you saying…
Game of thrones is a horrible story for people who like for the better men to prevail. Jamie and the Starks as well as other characters are the favorite characters. If you know anything about GOT, all of the favorite characters are going to be killed, sent into obscurity, or shit on in some other manner. Every good guy or good character in GOT is doomed. The Author loves killing off his best characters. I hate GOT for that. All the interesting stuff that can happen and the Author just decides to go for shock value of having every good guy fail miserably every single time. GOT has interesting characters, but it has major flaws because it kills off or banishes all the favorites.
Wow, this post was so terrible on so many levels. Congratulations!

Gotta say - I really like Doflamingo as a character so far. He's far and away the most interesting villain we've ever had (I'm not really qualifying Kuzan as a villain in this sense); he's a former Tenryuubito, the descendant of an original WG family who's taken back his kingdom, he operates in a vast black market network and also wants to be the Pirate King? Damn. We've never had anyone with a backstory like that (though of course we'll likely learn more about Crocodile and Blackbeard down the line). I'm just comparing Doflamingo to just about every other villain - Kuro, Krieg, Arlong, Wapol, Enel, Foxy, Lucci, Moria, whatever - and this is the first time (for me personally) that we've got an antagonist with such a relevant, interesting history (in a world-building sense).
I have a feeling that understanding more about Doffy's backstory, motives and goals is gonna be one of the most rewarding parts of this arc. I'm certainly hoping for some kind of flashback for him, no matter how brief.
On that note - anyone else find it curious that Law didn't know Doflamingo's heritage? Doffy apparently thought of him as a "little brother" and I guess Law was his subordinate for quite a while… Makes me wonder who in the Donquixote Family knows about it.
He's certainly the most complex character of all the villains from what we know. I agree with you, he's a very interesting character and some amazing writing by Oda to keep adding all these layers to him. I have a feeling when he will be defeated, he will have a Death Note type of ending from a character point of view. What is also very interesting is that he seems genuinely disappointed that Law is turning on him. Though I also wonder if Law is turning on him for a purpose, as someone already made a unique theory about Law coming off some type of slave background, which might explain his whereabouts at Archipelago and why he may have turned on DD. This arc is certainly set up that it might end up being one of the top 3 best ones by the time it's done if when things go wrong, it's handled well.
So whats the general take with Doffy vs sanji.
Sanji loses a leg? Are you retarded? Just because he cut off oz leg, he will now cut off sanjis tools of destruction?
I can see Sanji getting abused by Doffys DF and attacking the SH just to get a distress call from HQ leaving Doffy to abandon Sanji giving the SHs a tainted plot win.

Actually in a daring plot twist Dofla ends up cutting off his own foot and then chokes on a feather from his boa.

Has someone already mentioned the possibility that Doflamingo might control Sanji and attack Law to get CC back?
I dom't think so. But I ain't sure he would be good enough at controling Sanji to beat Law and get Ceasar.

doflamingo nickname is ten yaksha
with ten meaning heaven but also sky
and yaksha being a kind of demon

Lol I knew what they were saying, I just kept asking because I was bored but Dark made it look like it was some kind of foreshadow or something
He says it's a foreshadowing, you say it's pretty vague?
Emperor of the Underworld maybe, devil and demon are sometimes interchangeable, so it could be any villainous pirate/king.
Tomorrow we'll have spoilers, won't we?. As the chapter is going to be published on Tuesday.

Why's that?

Why's that?
Because I read in a spanish forum (where Redon usually posts) that the chapter will be released on Tueday thus we may get spoilers tomorrow.

I can't remember clearly, but I think it's due to the shonen will be published a few days earlier.
Am betting my life that Sanji will be the one to defeat Doflamingo not Luffy, just like when luffy stood no chance against mihawk, he doesn't stand a chance against doflamingo, it's that simple, Like water beats fire and rock beats scissors, luffy stands no chance against doflamingo, but with sanji able to swim, walk on air and be able to cut the strings with his diable jambe he can totally own dofla, so far sanji is the only one of the big three who has no reason to fight, luffy has blackbeard and akianu and zoro has mihawk, but what about sanji, I think dofla will do something that will haunt sanji for the rest of his life, worst thing I can imagine is dofla taking control of sanji and making him kill violet for her betrayal, not only would have sanji gone against his morals for hurting a lady but he would end up killing the only women who has ever loved him back, it will be a blondy finally for sure :)
I'm not sure that Sanji will be the one who'll defeat Doffy, but yeah it'll be nice to have someone else who defeat the boss of an arc…And what's more, as strange as it rings, Doffy is only a "midboss" in the great arc that is the "Let's kick Kaidoh's butt" plan.
Am betting my life
Stopped reading there.
Anyway, dofla, take control of sanji and make him kick nami, eazy, k thx.

From what I understand he's saying is- Doflamingo won't be defeated in this arc, Dofla will clash with Luffy for a bit before escaping and Sanji will be enraged with what Dofla made him do so Dofla will be one opponent that Sanji will want to defeat himself(like Zoro wants to defeat Mihawk).

Am sorry for your dyslexia :/
Ok, so I haven't really been following the thread, but has anyone brought up the possibility that Doflamingo may break Sanji's leg, or at the very least make the injury he got during his fight with Vergo worse? 'Cause I've been waiting for this whole broken leg thing to be addressed since that chapter got released.
Here's the injury I'm talking about for those who don't remember.
!

Didn't mean it as a personal attack, but it sort of discredits you if you start your post with a "I'll die before being wrong about my opinion" vibe
and man, not cool, dyslexic people have a condition that we should not make fun off.
Edit:

yeah, I bet that injury will play a role in their fight
but he is not screwed yet, it's basically Sanji + law with backup from nami ranged attacks, and a doctor is ready for after combat events :p

That is exactly what I meant, as final opponent, as of now sanji doesn't stand a chance in hell, he will get raped to oblivion unless a miracle happens.

I'd be very very surprised if it didn't come into play. Not saying Sanji would be able to beat Doflamingo on his own but with an injury like that that was clearly shown to us by Oda…it's just waiting to be exploited.

I'm sure Okama cooking healed that.
I'm fairly sure you're gonna die in a not to long future.
I think so too, I believe it will be a clash to death, an epic death of Romanticism…
Just imagine Sanji facing Dofla in there last grand battle, two blondes going head to head, sanji slowly puts up his finger as it bursts into a flames, lights up his cigarette and blows his finger as he puffs away while dofla stands in awe, cautiously staring wide eyed full with animosity knowing this man who stands before him is not like the one that was defeated so easily so long ago.
After Doflamingo hacks off Sanji's leg, he'll say: "I'm your Father, Sanji."
Sanji: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
