Nice.
Also interesting that they moved up the PS3/360/WiiU goal. They don't need that extra $300,000 to make a console version?
Haha, and 3 $10,000 backers. Inafune has to have dinner with 3 fanboys/girls now. Be prepared!

Watching this video makes me sad :(
and for those who want to keep hearing the main theme to the Mighty No.9
Man, I just can't wrap my mind around plunking down ten grand just like that.
I know I've heard people joke about having to still pay for their own trip after paying that money for the project, but if they're putting down that much money on kickstarter projects, they honestly seem to have plenty of money to spare.
I'm honestly shocked that there were more people willing to go for the dinner with inafune a few days in. You'd think the people who'd be willing to put that kind of money in and who'd be interested in that type of reward would've been far quicker to jump onboard this thing
Hmm…...well, did they state exactly what type of dinner it would be? I'm not a big seafood fan myself. Of course, if they got some boiled shrimp mixed in with boiled potatoes, I could definitely go for it.
It's totally going to be McDonalds. Yes, Japan has McDonalds.
3x 10k backers?
Sony - Microsoft Japan - Nintendo execs to convince him to give it to their system first :P
Do they have Pizza Hut?
Do they have Pizza Hut?
Pretty sure they do considering the blatant ads for it in Code Geass
10,000 dollars to eat with your favorite video game developer at Olive Garden.
Do they have Pizza Hut?
They do, but I never saw one in my 2+ years there, and similar pizza restaurants charge like $30-40 for what we'd call a small/medium pie. It's disgusting.

The price or the pizza?
The price or the pizza?
I mean the price, but the pizza is too.
That said, as a New Yorker, I'm kind of particular about pizza.
Hey the homestuck kickstarter had 3 joke rewards, to have your fan troll appear in the comic, to have your fan troll appear in the comic and survive for more then one panel, and to have your fan troll become the new main character.
Two people paid for the joke rewards. He had to change the rewards just in case anyone else would do it.
And as promised the two people did get their trolls in the story, And they were alive for one panel. 10,000 so they could see their characters get killed.
Also they showed the development of mighty no 5. Pretty cool designs. I like the early one with tank treads instead of legs, but still I like it.
My favorite would definitely be the gatling penis one :ninja:
No. 2: AquaMan.EXE
No. 5: NapalmMan.EXE's more conventional cousin
No. 6: GyroMan.EXE
Nice.

They still need it, but they probably saw the reaction and wanted to hit an even wider audience of donators, and since thats a priority they wanted to make sure that was reached. So… whatever the ???? was was put aside to help ensure the really important thing.
Strange that there's no PS4/Xbone goal. I mean it's coming out in 2015 right? I just woulda assumed they woulda went for the new consoles too. Same with Vita

Man, fuck Japan. You guys make good animation and video games, but if you screw up with pizza then I don't like you.
man i don't know if i should back this or not. I mean i like mega man and all but i don't if i can really affored £20. Especially with my uni starting soon

Those are still new expensive hardwares with proprietary stuff on them… and since it's going to be a 2d sidescroller, no matter how pretty the graphics are, its really not going to need THAT much processing power.
The previous gen is down to an easy science by now.
Plus, pretty much anything they can get into the online stores should almost automatically be good to go on the next gen as well with only a little work.

In addition to what Robby said you also have to consider that not everyone jumps on board new consoles right away. Even in its release of 2015 I'd say its still a safer bet that more folks will still have more PS3s/360s than the newer gen consoles. So they're bound to make more sales through the PS3, Xbox360, and Wii U versions in addition to the PC/Mac/Linux sales.
Besides like Robby said it's all but a given that the game will eventually end up on the PS4 and Xbox One anyways.
I had no idea you guys were such filthy casuals. I need to go take a shower. :x And you guys have homework to do. You get extra credit when you can do Buster Only Runs in every megaman game. The morning after I completed this task I grew a full beard.
Buster only run in X6? Hell no :(
I know this is kind of random but I just want to say the main theme song which they posted on the Kickstarter is amazing.
^Agreed, now with my limited vocabulary around music I hope I can still make myself understood but yeah I dig that piece because you can easily pick up a main melody out of it. It's also not super simple(although I often prefer simple) like many other beloved pieces from the 8-bit/16-bit era. It's also surprisingly soothing and not balls to the walls adrenaline like we often get with action themed games.
Pax reveal panel for those that don't dig around the kickstarter page much.
New stretch goals were added. At 2 mil we'll get a boss rush mode, at 2.4 mil a challenge mode, at 2.55 mil another extra stage and boss, 2.75 mil will have a online co-op mode with call as a playable char, 2 unknown goals at 2.9 and 3.1 mil, and finally next gen versions at 3.3 mil. Also, they are apparently exploring alternate methods of getting handheld versions beyond stretch goals (probably related to renegade kid's offer to make a 3ds version)
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, Might No. 1 looks pretty damn awesome
Looks like they added stretch goals for PS4/XBONE versions
And they are closing in on 2 million dollars!
Just gave 60 (for the physical box/manual/guide). Really getting hyped about this.
"This is the first in our line of super advanced robotics, how do we convey that in it's design?"
"We have it be on fire. All the time."
"…"
"..."
"BRILLIANT!"
whistles Damn.
The donation rate is starting to slow down. I believe they'll reach the PS3/360/WiiU goal, but honestly I don' think they'll reach the PS4/XBONE goal. Unless the encourage the fans to give a HUGE surge at the end.
I personally don't care about the ps4/xbone goal as long as it makes it to the coop goal (Which I'd say is fairly likely, but still depends on how much it continues to slow down)
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
So yeah, to get to the 2750000 coop online goal, we'll need a bit less than $40000 donated every day starting now (about 21 days left, and 1923099 have been donated when I did the calculations). Based on kicktraq and the current trend, it seems to be leveling out at around $40000 a day, so we could very possibly just make that goal. Of course, it's also very possible it'll drop off below that amount and we'll just miss the goal. However, I fully expect a bit of a resurge in the last day or two as people see a stretch goal they really want it to reach and so either donate if they'd been holding out, or up their donation. So yeah, that stretch goal seems very doable, but far from guaranteed. Next Gen consoles not so much however
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
sorry, should be 22 days
With these things, especially really popular ones like this, there's always this huge surge towards the end. "Spirit Bombs" they call it.
I think they can make that stretch-goal to be honest.
It's looking really unlikely like I'll have enough money to fill my desired donation amount the day the Kickstarter ends. Is there a way I can set it up to pay with another account I can slowly funnel money into until the deadline day?
I'm sure there'll be a surge towards the end (I honestly didn't need to be familiar with kickstarter to predict that kind of trend). The question is really will that surge be enough? As it stands now, if it averages 50000 a day from here on out until the last 5 days, it'd still need to average over 100k in those last 5 days. Doable? sure. Guaranteed? Far from it

You can change the amount you pledged whenever you want on a given account. All you need to do is manage your pledge.
I haven't pledged yet, but I want to pledge $40. I just know that that $40 will not be avaialble in my account when the kickstarter ends and the accounts get charged due to rent.

You could pay a smaller amount you are sure you can afford, and then as it approaches deadline you could up your donation if you think you can afford more
Some intense goals they set up, but I REALLY hope it gets to get a PS4 version. The donation rate is starting to slow down, but it's still going at a good rate. And it'll do nothing but speed up as time runs out, that aside. I've only donated $6, but once I get a little more money, I'm gonna' donate another $14 so I can at least get a digital copy of the game when it finally comes out, though I'd definitely get a PlayStation version as well, and I'd DEFINITELY play that one more often than a PC version, no contest.
I wonder if they'd actually get a 3DS port with the developers that offered it earlier. Because that's the system that I would really prefer it on: a handheld.
So we broke the $2,000,000 mark. Not TOO far from the PS3/360/WiiU port. Question is how much farther they can go from that.
I've noticed there tends to be a big surge of last minute pledges when the time limit is nearing it's end. So I suppose only time will tell how far the donations will actually go. I just want the 360/PS3/Wii U more than anything else.
I'm still shocked that anyone, much less 3 people so far, put in that much money for a dinner with Inafune.
That's usually the 'I'm putting this much money because I really want this project to succeed, and I have plenty of money' pledge.
We're $5,000 away from the console goal
And meet Mighty No. 3
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9/posts/600219
Mighty no 3 is cool, but I really prefer Mighty no 1 and mighty no 5 in terms of design. That said, I really love the actual battle concept of mighty no 3

And it's on consoles (360, ps3 and wii U to be precise)
Well, its now hit console stage… I might just be willing to jump in on it now. Though I would want to get the physical artbook and I dunno that I want to plunk down 120 bucks for something I won't see for a year and a half..
Hrm.
If you put the money down now in the time it would take for you to get the art book you can save up enough money to buy it and come out with a profit. sorta.
Yess . . . . . console reached. I would very much prefer this on console, so this is very satisfying. I'm sure the team is giddy beyond reason. And with 14 days to go they'll get even more money to help them develop the console versions more.
Yeeaahh i will get the console version, probably the wii U one
Co-Op would be nice, but what I really have my fingers crossed for is the extra stage + boss. As meaty a game as possible, please!
