That's an awesome tease. I know there's always been speculation of him playing Ant man. I don't know if he would really be the right fit for the character, but it would definitely be cool if he was still in the movie in some way.

The idea of Simon Pegg as a Marvel super hero would be remarkably awesome in an odd sort of way. I fully support it! He would be an interesting addition to the super hero cast we have so far. Now I'm really hoping he is actually playing the Ant Man.
-
C'mon, Whedon! Ms. Marvel can fly! She can shoot beams! She's got a cool backstory! (it would introduce the Kree into the Marvelverse) Why not?!
-
Honestly, we need a female character with a far more relatable personality than Black Widow. Natasha is awesome and I love how they've done her character, but the fanbase practically ignores her existence.
Right now, we got Loki fans freaking out because Jane punched him. We really need a female voice that is nerdy and fun.
sneeze JANET cough
And Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel, but I'll cross my fingers for that one.
-
Wasp is a grade-A bitch. If they hate Jane, they'll HATE Jan.
-
I caught up on my Ant-Man (sorta) watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes so:
I can't see Simon Pegg playing Ant-Man, really. But he's awesome in any support role you put him in.
-
Can they even actually use the Kree though? Wouldn't Fox hold those rights since they originated in the Fantastic Four?

Marvel Studios have the rights to them. The Inhumans also originated in FF and they're making a movie about them.

@Thousand:
I hope GoG does well. Creativity needs to be rewarded instead of all this formulaic bs we've been getting lately. –- Update From New Post Merge --- I mean geez, DC/WB has been all like "We can't have a WW movie. A female character as the main lead? That's way too confusing and weird for the audiences." And Marvel responds with a raccoon with a machine gun.
I was under the assumption that DC was trying to get a Wonder Woman TV series off the ground a couple of years ago which apparently never happened.
-
There was an unaired pilot of that which was so horrible that the show never actually aired on TV.
-
I didn't see it, but I saw some pictures/summary and . . . . . . yeah, it looked bad.
-
I saw the Linkara/ Film Brain/Nash review of it. Pretty good summary of what was wrong with it. Mainly that the show's Wonder Woman was a complete psycopath that wantonly murdered people and the show still tried to portray her actions as noble and just when they were just disturbing.
-
They were trying to make a Smallvillish WW show but that seems to be stuck in a rut now as well, with DC focusing on a Flash TV show instead.
-
Someone posted this up on Tumblr. Yeah, this is exactly how Marvel movies vs DC movies have felt for me:

I felt that way with Dark Knight, and MY GOD, do I feel that way with Superman.
Wasp is a grade-A bitch. If they hate Jane, they'll HATE Jan.
Janet is much more like a mature Darcy than she is like Jane. Jane, while I like her, is far more of a stick in the mud.
-
I don't see WB's doing much apologising over GL so much as forgetting it ever existed like every movie studio responsible for every movie adaptation of the Punisher.

Hahaha. Yeah, that's a good way to put it.
Warner Bros released the original Superman. You'd think they'd know better.
-

Yeah, but it was much more along the lines of…
WB: Okay... we'll TRY to follow the superhero plot...
Green Lantern Movie: CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP!
WB: Oh jeez, sorry! I guess that's what happens when we follow the superhero story. Yeesh, that was awful. -
Thats pretty spot on.
Also why Batman Begins is my favourite of the Nolan films.
-
It's hard to deny the amazing-ness of The Dark Knight. But it's also easy to claim the wonder-ness of Batman Begins.
Apples and Oranges?
(Heath Ledger's Joker is the obvious mind-blowing centerpiece of The Dark Knight, but I give serious props to Cillian Murphy in Batman Begins. You can't ask for a better modern Scarecrow.)
-
When I think about it, my two favourite things about the Dark Knight -the Joker and Two-Face- are the things most evocative of the feel of Begins.
And yeah, the Scarecrow is awesome, but I think a lot of my love of Begins belongs with Gotham itself. God I missed that rail system in the sequels.

Marvel one-shot: Agent Carter
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k6DLXj4x2xXkOc4tsBR
Gotta tell you all: this has me jonesing for a full 1940's S.H.I.E.L.D. movie something fierce. It's also shot my hype for The Winter Soldier through the roof.
EDIT: Apparently the link is down, but typing it into dailymotion's search should yield results. And just in case THOSE go down, then good luck, because anything else I post will probably go down as well.
But seriously, seek it out. It is SO worth it.

The video appears to be gone.

E](http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/21/elizabeth-olsen-up-for-avengers-role)lizabeth Olsen is confirmed to be in talks for a role in Avengers
-
Probably Scarlet Witch. Yeah… Scarlet Witch.
Also heard that Bradley Cooper will probably be voicing Rocket Raccoon.
-
@The:

Elizabeth Olsen is a fantastic actress, but as the Scarlet Witch… Uh... hm...
I don't know. Can we go back in time and give the role of Kitty Pryde to her instead of Page? (I love Page and all, but she is just not Kitty in the slightest.)
-
Ellen Page is a perfect Kitty Pryde. Only Kiernan Shipka would be better.
-

Eh…
I mean, considering what she was given to work with in X3 it probably isn't fair to judge her, but Page as a person is too droll. Kitty is much more upbeat and chipper. Much more... Buffy, for a lack of a better comparison.
Shipka would be pretty dang awesome if we could somehow get an appropriately aged Kitty.
Though, I will argue my case for Olsen as a more grown up, Astonshing X-men era Kitty Pryde if need be. -
Kitty may be caring and optimistic, but she has an air of cynicism surrounding it and she's always very self-righteous and intent on showing off that she's smarter than everyone else, even the older Kitty (so literally Ellen Page). Claremont wrote her like this in the early '00s until Whedon ignored all of that for '80s characterization and a little girl crush.

Nothing against Page, but in pretty much everything I've ever seen her in, including interviews, she doesn't have the energy. And the way she talks (speech-wise, nothing to do with her voice) is… it just seems impossible for her to convey Kitty's. From Juno, to Inception, to real life, she has this cadence and air about her that just doesn't work. She's witty and hilarious, but I don't get any real cynicism from her. Though that might be because from Twitter to interviews she's an incredibly earnest person.
I beg entirely to differ on your opinion of how Whedon did Kitty. But that's an entire other argument in and of itself.

Eeeeeeewwwwwww.
What a horrible casting choice that would be.

It's like 75% confirmed right now, so… Better get use to it.
-
checks Bradley Cooper on IMDB I . . . . haven't seen any of his movies.
-
I saw Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook. I thought he was pretty darn good in that. I think I could see him playing Rocket Raccoon.
Oh yeah, and Hangover. He's actually pretty good at playing crazy bad boys.
-
Oh yeah, and Hangover. He's actually pretty good at playing crazy bad boys.
But Rocket isn't exactly a crazy bad boy. He's just some miserable angry raccoon who isn't actually a raccoon.
I suppose playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 has just made me associate Rocket with having like a cockney accent or just an English one really.
Cooper could be good….but we'll see. I'm not too big on the idea currently.

Go watch Silver Linings Playbook. His character in that film is a miserable angry man who really doesn't want to be miserable or angry, and Cooper is absolutely fantastic in the role. There's a reason he got nominated for Best Actor.
If Cooper is Rocket Raccoon, I would be incredibly happy with the choice.
-
….....What?
Like, all this talk of Bradley Cooper being Flash or Green Latern, and he's Rocket Raccoon?!? WHAT!?!
He's a great actor, but he'd be much better suited being physically there in another role or something. But maybe he's okay. Maybe he can pulled off a cockney accent.

I've seen SLP and it was great. I'm just still not sure if I can imagine his voice on Rocket.

He's like Idris Elba, being attached to every role ever conceived.
-
Cooper is an annoying asshole in everything that isn't SLP.
-
Cooper is actually really good at playing an asshole.
-
Eeeeeeewwwwwww. What a horrible casting choice that would be.
Compared to casting Liev Schriebler as Sabretooth in Wolverine Origins and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane in Spider-Man this is not that bad besides they could always cast Ryan Reynolds instead. @Insider2000:

I see this becoming a mess given how Rocket Racoon has appeared 3 times across UMVC3,EMH, & US sounding different accross all three appearance.
-
Again, I don't know much about GotG, but . . is Rocket SUPPOSED to have an accent? Is that like cannon?
-
^ I'm guessing it's "A Depending On The Writer" type of thing I mean look at what they've done with Black Widow.
-
'Kay.
And speaking of GotG, it's pretty much confirmed that the main badguy is Ronan the Accuser:

His EMH appearance was done by his UMVC3 voice actor.

Considering that he's named after a Beatles song, an English accent makes sense.
-
Cooper could still be Flash, I mean if Micheal Clark Duncan can do a role in both a DC and Marvel movies why can't Cooper.
The only reason it won't happen is his contract for doing Rocket Raccoon won't allow it. It also helps that he will only be doing a voice for Rocket Raccoon.
-
Cooper is actually really good at playing an asshole.
Rocket isn't really an asshole though. He's just been written like that in the shitty new series.
-

Cooper is also really good at playing people who aren't assholes. Either way, it doesn't matter. He's a great actor, he's got a good VA voice, and, if needed, I'm sure he could do a British accent. IN the end, all that matters is that he'd make a great Rocket Raccoon.
-
I don't know enough about Rocket Racoon to know who would be a good fit for him, but Bradley Cooper is a good actor
-

I wasn't saying that to imply that RR is an asshole. I was saying that the reason Cooper is an asshole in so many movies is because he's really good at playing an asshole.
