@Satsuki:
Okay, I'll admit I know pretty much nothing about Ant-Man/Hank. But everything I've heard about him, is pretty much how much of an ass he is to Janet.
Truth be told, Hank Pym has been a very depressing character. His entire history in the past had been nothing but failures, situations where he failed to save people or situations that he made worse (ie Ultron). Hank was a mess, which led to his rock bottom:

Cause you know what makes great character development? Making your character completely irredeemable.
It was horrible and unforgivable, and truth be told, Hank has never forgiven himself for this. There's nothing I can say that can make him smacking her okay, She tried to leave him. She ultimately stayed because he's was a mess and he was afraid to be alone. Every Ant Man fan hates that this ever happened, and every Avenger (rightly so) never let him live it down.
But if there's anything frustrating about all this…
Hank has never been able to live it down, in comics and reality. There are people who are shunning the Ant Man movie entire because of this. However, do you know how many times Peter has hit Mary Jane or treated her like shit? Jesus, he slapped her in his own fucking movie (Spider-Man 3). Peter never gets labeled as a wife beater. People just blame the countless story loops Peter goes through and how tragic his life is. "Oh poor Peter! He lives such a hard life."
And don't get me wrong, Spider-Man is my favorite male superhero. But Peter beat his wife. Hank beat his wife. Both apologized and have felt guilt for their actions, but they're both wife beaters. Yet Peter gets the free pass cause he's popular.
And don't get me started on Mr. Fantastic. To be fair, he gets far more shit than Peter and far less shit than Hank, but not only did he beat his wife, one of his beatings was 'justified' by the fact that his wife had gone crazy after miscarrying their child (for which she was slapped across the face and told to shut up). At least Hank and Peter's stories were meant to seem like downward spirals of their own emotion and mental health. Reed slapping Sue was treated like it was necessary.
I'm not saying to forgive or forget that the character once did this. I'm saying to give the character a chance and don't hate him immediately. Cause outside of that horrible story arc of depression he went through, Hank and Janet are a wonderful duo.
If I can't interest you with Hank, let me at least interest you with Janet, who is probably one of the most fun female characters of Marvel.

Like, if I could define how awesome Janet is: Janet 'died' not to long ago in the comics. It was shitty and stupid, and everyone who likes Hank and/or Janet were furious. Basically, she was believed to be dead. And then this happens:

She took care of her fucking self.
I like Hank, but I adore Janet. There's a reason Tony Stark is hungover the fact that he could never get with her. There's a reason Ultron hates the entire human race except her and considers her to be perfection, while question why an imperfection like Hank could obtain perfection.
I hope they don't go through Hank's downward spiral, because when Hank and Janet are at their best, they're a lot of fun.
But I swear to God, if Janet doesn't get in any of these movies, I'm gonna throw such a bitch fit.
Okay, nerd fest over.

If we're going to use the Ultimates franchise against Ant Man, then Hank is a saint compared to Tony Stark.
