Does anyone know if it's possible to find some better scanlations for chapters around 205 and higher? Batoto's and mp's are really shitty, prty much not even readable. thx

You could even buy the French volumes if you wanted eh? Dunno if those are supposed to be any good.
But anyway, I always gotta thank yall for sitting on top of New England and making me feel snug here I guess. -

And it's not a matter of wanting to buy them, it's more that I really just can't afford them, and I don't see the point of buying only a few. Glad to see you feel ''snug'' even tho im not too sure what it means. It's prty rare to have americans ''thanking'' people from canada, usually its the opposite. (unless that was some big sarcasm that I couldnt see)
Edit: Googled snug, so you were referring to history, thats what I thought

No I mean I enjoy being surrounded by large cities, and it's nice to know that on the other side of the forest wilderness that is New Hampshire and Vermont above me, is a bigass urban area, Montreal. And some other things like Quebec City and Ottawa/Gatineau.
I am cradled in urban areas, just how I like it.I don't have the remotest clue what history you found looking for "snug", let alone in relation to Canada and the US. lol
And yeah yeah ME AMERICAN FEE FI FO FUM HURR DURR or whatever you're assuming of me.

How likely is for the WG/Marines to find out about Pluton being in Alabasta?
They had Crocodile and I don't believe that they will just ignore the fact that he desire to take over a country just for the status in this case King, when he already had one of the best status you can get (Shishibukai), so do you think that they have been investigating Alabasta for the past 2 years?
We got Caribou who just made contact with Scotch and If he decide to persuade Scotch in order to save his life and Grany's for a meeting with Kaidou or better yet Scotch take him to Kaido personally and Caribou just spill the beans about Poseidon, do you think that Kaidou may stop the deal with DD, If he get his hand in an ancient weapon
Gosh too many questions
-
How likely is for the WG/Marines to find out about Pluton being in Alabasta?
I'm sure the WG is well aware that the Pluton is there. Remember how skeptical the Gorusei were toward Spandam's idea of making a new Pluton? I think the highest ups genuinely are weary of waking the ancient weapons.
I don't think the Gorusei are simple villains basically. Not saying they're good dudes, but they aren't cackling evil witches either.
They want the history to sleep, all of it. -

–- Update From New Post Merge ---
do we know any strong pirates besides the yonkou and the supernovas in NW ?? i mean WB's allied pirates didn't seem all that strong to me some of them were on pair with the old vice admirals (all the ones with swords) and the how strong are those VA's?? i think Zoro pre TS were about equal to them... Luffy only got smashed because he had fought so much had he been all fresh and so i think he could had taken at least one out...

So what actually happened to Smily?
It ate the candy, exploded and turned the apple into a DF. So it 'died' by losing the DF, right?
So what was the point of that, what was Caesars actual plan?
To create a large supply of the DF? -

To create a large supply of the DF?Lol?
The entire plan was that Smiley exloded and that it would engulf the island in deadly poison gas. That was the concept behind the weapon "Shinokuni".
To load it up, one just has to implement the Axolotl (or any zoan) fruit into a large blorb of poison like Ceasar did, then have it die so that it spreads gas all over.
Ceasar probably had the apples there because he knew that the fruit would renew into one of those apples, that's probably why he said "Let's meet again!" when he had Smiley eat the candy. -

There's no mention about that giant being a vice admiral.
-
-
-
-
Aren't all the members of the giant squad vice admirals?
Not confirmed, but they do wear the same outfit.
-
So far only two members of the Giant Squad are named - Lacroix and Ronse- both are vice admirals. Names and ranks for the rest have not been revealed. Though since they wear the coats, they have to be at the very least rank of captain, as that's the lowest rank we've seen wearing the Justice coats/cape.
I think one trend during the war was that out of the new marine characters clearly shown (not some random face in the crowd), they were often (though exceptions exist) a- vice admirals or b- random mook that only lasted 1 to few panels (think of guy trying to go AOL and Akainu kills him). From what I remember the characters shown repeatedly that are not vice admirals were already estaplished before the war- Smoker, Hina, Tashigi, Cobymeppo, FullJango, ect
It's possible this is why many fans (but not all so don't yell at me that I'm putting words into people's mouths) believe the others of the Giant Squad are also vice-admirals.
-
I don't think a Vice Admiral would be taken down so easily by pre-skip Luffy.
-
Every named giant that is a member of the marines has been a vice admiral, I think they because of their overwhelming strenght they skip a few ranks or are considered differently from human recruits, the closest example I can think of in another series is in FMA when alchemists are automatically given a high rank upon becoming national alchemists.
-
I think they because of their overwhelming strenght they skip a few ranks
This part cant be true for sure, as we know that all VAs need to have Haki. They can't just skip to VA without having Haki at least.
-
Accept for Zombie Oars, it seems like every giant goes down in a ball of flames spectacularly without a major display of power or capability before hand.
I can't wait until a giant comes in, wrecks everything and is still standing within the same chapter.

Sky islands have three races Skypeans,Shandians and Birkans and they all have wings but Shandians were from the blue sea and not from a Sky Island to begin with, so why did they have wing 400 years ago? I could understand If they got it after arriving at Sky Island 400 years but no before that, so is there any explanation as to why the had it

Read Enel's coverstories, the three races were from the moon, they already ahd wings thre.
Shandians landed on Jaya, while skypieans and Bilkans landed on cloud islands by chance. The wings have nothing to do with them living on sky islands.

So what you're saying is that they all used to live in the moon but once they ran out of resources they decided to go to the blue sea but the only ones who made it to the blue sea were the Shandians while the others stopped in the sky but If it was like that why didn't the Shandians create the advance technology they seemed to have in the moom (robots that were charged by Enel) and even they city seems to be lighten up with electricity

http://s3.mangahead.com/mangas/Manga-Collections/Special-Collections/One-Piece-Special-All-Chapter-Covers/One-Piece-470.jpg[/HIDE]Real history is filled with fallen civilizations and often loose tech/knowledge of those fallen kingdoms. Also there is the problem of other kingdoms that suppress the knowledge of foreign peoples. Back in time of Greeks and Romans they had steam powering some statues. Most were doll- size models and function of curiosites. Found an article on Hero's "Steam engine".
[hide]1). Hero's Steam Engine. Hero, also called Heron, was an inventor, scientist and engineer who lived in Alexandria and taught at the legendary library there in the first century CE. He published several books of engineering principles and inventions. In Pneumatica, he described dozens of devices, including the aeolipile, or "Hero's Engine." A water-filled metal ball with opposing bent tubes would spin under the force of steam ejected under pressure when heated. Although more a proof-of-concept than a useful tool (replicas were popular in the 16th and 17th centuries), some of Hero's other inventions made use of the steam engine's principles to raise and lower stage curtains. His ideas using automated statues could be considered the earliest work in robotics. link[/hide] Just think of where technology could be now if that steam tech wasn't lost? We could have had trains, steam boats ect hundreds (maybe even a thousand) of years beforeThere is also the Bagdad Battery (tested on Mythbusters lol, result: plausible)
[hide]5). The Baghdad Battery. So far, most of these ancient techs have been frauds or pseudoscientific misinterpretations. Did ancient people ever actually create cool advanced technology? How about functional electric batteries capable of producing nearly a volt of power each? Yes, the famous Baghdad Batteries (top image) found in the 1930s in Iraq really work. Each battery (about a dozen were found) consists of a 5-inch clay jar. Inside is a copper tube wrapped around an iron rod. Acidic residue was found at the bottom of the pot, and an asphalt stopper sealed the top. They worked in much the same way as modern batteries, just not as efficiently. An acidic liquid placed at the bottom would transfer electrons from one metal to another, creating voltage at the "terminal" poking through the asphalt plug. Numerous replications have been built and tested, using lemon juice, vinegar or grape juice as the electrolytic fluid. The Mythbusters even took a shot at it (result: Plausible).
No one is totally sure what ancient people used batteries for. There are a few theories. My favorite revolves around the discovery of ornaments that appear to have undergone electroplating, which uses a small current to evenly apply molecules of a substance (such as gold) to an object. It's possible there was some kind of medical/therapeutic use as well. The Mythbusters demonstrated the "experience the power of the divine" theory, rigging a religious idol so that true believers and non-believers alike would get a potent but non-fatal jolt. Were ancient priests resorting to parlor tricks to drum up faith? I guess they didn't have mud-encased spark plugs to fall back on.
[/hide]So the Shandorian/Shandian and Skypeians not having the tech of their long, long lost ancestors isn't surprising.

What country are you from? It might not be visible to Americans.
Some of the sites work like this due to our local adaptation's company (Viz) getting all legal about it. So the sites I'm pretty sure make certain content regionally locked as it were. -

Then the problem must be because is a direct link to the image and not to their website, they might have done something that doesn't allow users to look at their image through direct links to it but rather going to the website using the normal link to look at the image.
Pretty lame If you ask me

Did we ever find out who left that note to Chopper shortly before the infiltration of the laboratory at Punk Hazard? I remember people believing it was either Monet or Law, though later events confirming Monet as pretty much evil makes her unlikely, and I can't remember any later things that would point in Law's direction.
-
1. Who the fuck is Jack?
2. Do we have any confirmation concerning Kizaru's post-TS position in the Navy?
3. Is Vergo Doflamingo's first mate? -
We still don't know who threw the note.
EDIT (for the above post)
1. We don't know jack about Jack.
2. He should still be an Admiral.
3. Probably. I remember Law calling him Doflamingo's most trusted subordinate. -

3. Is Vergo Doflamingo's first mate?Considering Jimbei updated Luffy on Admiral news, and didn't mention anything about Kizaru, I think it goes without saying that he still has the position.
So along with Fujitora there's only one mystery new Admiral most likely.
Probably Green themed (because fuck Orange amiright). -

2. No but it's good to assume that he's still an admiral.
3. Maybe. Dofla said that he knew Vergo the longest. We'll have to wait until the Doflamingo flashback. -

people always say that Smoker and Luffy share a Garp and Roger type relationship but am I only one who thinks Smoker has been portrayed as fairly weak for most of the series? He has never actually won a fight and post time skip we see him lose to Law and Vergo while Luffy is fully prepared to take on D.D. and Kaido. He basically hasn't broken a sweat in the new world yet while Smoker is left dragging behind. When he was introduced in Louge Town he seemed badass and then he was kinda just there. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

I do not think that Luffy and Smoker have a similar relationship to Garp and Roger. Smoker and Luffy have never actually fought equally.
In the first half of Grand Line Luffy couldnt match up to him, because of his Logia and such.
Now in the New World yes, smoker is lagging behind a bit. This is the reason why I hope Kuzan will train him for a while, so that in due time he can have one good last fight with Luffy before becoming an ally. -
Yeah. Smoker is one of my favorite characters and I really want to see him and Tashigi get strong in the series. I don't think him and Luffy would ever become straight up allies unless the world government is revealed as the bad guys(which I fully think will happen).
