Yeah, seriously stop spoiling Game of Thrones (eventhough I already spoiled myself a year ago… lol).

Spoilers aren't bad, though. Some say they might even enhance one's experience and enjoyment.
i personally agree with it enhancing my experience. it builds suspense to see the manga along with me speculating with what might happen when we're given small hints.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
For the same reason I read books. Dude, the point is that if you read the spoiler then the experience wont be as rich. If you know what's going to happen beforehand than why bother reading at all? Where is the surprise? The tension?
If you already knew what was going to happen in this tournament arc would you feel the same when reading a new chapter? Or would you just read it like "oh so thats what happened".
personally i dont like surprises, if the information already exist i want to know. with reading spoilers it makes me want to actually read the story even more. everyone is different and as such u may feel it spoils your story but for me it enhances it.
-
And so we reach the end of our discussion. There will be those who don't like spoilers and those that don't care. Just like my PS3 is better than your Xbox. ;)
But I don't have an Xbox…
-
Sometimes I like to read spoilers because knowing what happens allows you to notice details and foreshadowing that might be missed otherwise. Sometimes, it's interesting to know what happens beforehand so you can better appreciate what really matters: How it was actually executed.
A good story can be read multiple times, and not only will it remain enjoyable, but you'll actually gain more insight by reading it more than once. As Monkey King said, a story that relies only on surprise and tension isn't very good. I'd say that's because there's no substance, and the story is functioning only on shock value. So it might entertain once, but you can never go back to it because it'll never be enjoyable again, which isn't a good thing -
Hah, yes but you have picked one extreme and paired it with the other. ;) GoT is probably the best example of it being done the most, my point was that OP has no sense of danger (for me anyways), instead of a little bit or a good amount like other shows, movies or animes. I was moreso responding to death not helping stories esp like One Piece be even more memorable. :S
Guys, stop talking about whatever wedding is in Game Of Thrones, I haven't read the books…
yeahOk I went to the extreme opposite I agree
Personaly, I lost the sense of danger in OP after Zoro cut Mr.5 with flaming swords and death didn't come to him.
By this time I didn't know that Oda was more concerned about defeat beem way more related to "I will stop you from reaching your goals" than to 'death' itself. I just chilled after reading this. -
Spoilers that are just like those on the back of a book are just a guide. Imagine picking up the first GoT book already knowing the fate of Edd Stark? Knowing the plot is one thing (war, war everywhere), but knowing Joffrey would become the Bitch Queen from the get-go would lessen it's impact.
lol im not attacking you i swear so dont think i am, i just have very different opinion than you do is all. with that said
I DID EXACTLY THAT. i went and learned everything about GoT, the fate of arya, robb, tyrion and bran before i even finished reading one book. i havent finished the 4th or 5th book yet but im thoroughly waiting till i get to arya's story and im EXCITED, excited like a little girl about to get a barbie doll for christmas (do little girls still like barbie dolls?). ive become a huge fan of the series and still on book 3. What i enjoy is reading HOW they got to where they are going and even if someone might tell me its not the same as the author who descriptively writes it. the imagination and the scene that pops up in my head is great. So yea all im saying is people are different, some dont like the spoilers but some are like me who do, and it just enhances the love of the story for them.

Yeah, people who think spoilers are bad are the ones who actually care about the destination more than the journey. The Journey is about HOW things happen, and the destination is WHAT happens. Knowing WHAT happens can often give you a greater appreciation when you start to get into HOW they got there. When you just read a spoiler, you get what happened devoid of all the context and emotion, but its the context and emotion that are really important, so a spoiler doesn't affect that part of the reading
-
Like I said, this is just about opinions. You like, I don't like. I have my reasons for not liking, you have yours.
Oh, I didn't mean for you to feel that way garonne, i actually like discussions where people think very differently. But in the end it just about what you like best. -
I don't really mind spoilers, but then, spoilers for a weekly show are really pointless… is it really soooo important to know a little bit about the chapter one day before you get the product?
Hell, I probably wouldn't have started reading One Piece if not for a spoiler... Ace and Whitebeard die at Marineford (which I had no clue who they were and what this location is) and something about a timeskip (<- important part).
The timeskip part did give me the push I needed to overcome the huge number of chapters that prevented me previously from reading ^^
Thank you unknown person who posted in a forum I don't remember about a series I didn't follow at that time.

Goddamnit, stop trying to shatter these preconcieved notions of mine already! You are actually making me rethink them!

I think nothing is set in stone. If spoilers enhance or ruin my experience depends highly on what kind of story we are talking about, of what kind of event and even the spoilers themselves.
There are things that when you know before hand can be completely ruined, while others actually make you even more anxious about it. People were talking about ASoIaF/GoT (I will try to say it without spoiling people who didn't read the books). I was spoiled about both the wedding and Stoneheart.
The first made me incredibly more interested when I was reading the wedding because, even though I knew were it was leading, the HOW to get there and the intesity of everything was really the focus of the event.
The later spoiler, on the other hand, completely ruined that moment, though, because it was a moment focused on the revelation of that single fact. The Stoneheart scene was not focused on the HOW, but solely on the impact and surprise.Other thing is how detailed spoilers are. When we are talking about manga with weekly chapters, two, three-lined sopilers actually make you even more curious about how those things are going to happen. Fully detailed spoilers, on the other hand, already tell you not just the "what" but also the "how".
Some months ago I was always reading spoilers and I always prefered the vague and short ones exactly because of that. The long and detailed ruined the chapters for me.So I think spoilers can go one way or the other. Since I prefer to avoid having the experience ruined (or even altered), I avoid spoilers like the plague despite knowing in some cases they could make the experience even better.

It's probably been discussed already but I just noticed that the guy attempting to snipe Violet with Sanji is wearing the same style of clothing(uniform maybe?) as the goons who confronted Kinemon. Already their stories are intertwined.
With everything we know, it's a strong possibility that Violet wants someone in Doflamingo's family dead and not just some no body either. Looking forward to how this plays out. I'd love for Violet to lead Sanji to a big shot.

I recall people suggesting it might be Clover, which would be cool seeing how he looks like a jerk. Alternatively it could be a big boss from the broker underground …
This is one of those arcs where anything is still possible. Personally I still have the crazy dream of Gin randomly appearing, especially after Bellamy appeared again for some reason.

It would be awesome if it's one of the 3 people that were sitting in the room with Doflamingo. Having Sanji fight in a big match like that would be long awaited.

Wasn't Clover one of the scholars from Ohara?
-
I think vergo will come back and be sanji's main opponent for this arc. I could see Trebol losing to him earlier in the arc but i don't think he is going to be that difficult to beat.
-
@Medical:

He was….R.I.P
I think they mean Club, if they are based on card suits.
-
Is there no chapter this week? or was that suppose to be next week? Thanks :)
-
I wonder if people with devil fruit powers are alowed to enter the tournament. If they're not it will be intressting to see Luffy fight without using his devil fruit.
I might have forgotten but have we ever seen Luffy fight without using his Devil fruit? -

Trevol with all his "ugliness" looks stronger than Vergo.

I don´t think so, there´s Bellamy and there´s no powerful girls that are powerful without a devil fruit, so I guess Rebecca has one.

Dammit, was thinking of Trebol. See, knowing Spanish seeing the name Trebol just makes me think of a Clover so … yea, fail.
-

Idk about that. Trebol reminds me of Absalom or caribou. I just can't see him being a serious threat or a strong opponent the way Jyabura was. Vergo on the other hand is still undefeated in a brawl and hasn't even been knocked out yet. Even though he was cut by Law, he still looked like he had like atleast 70+% of his strength left and could have kept going.
-

Since her stated goal is getting the Mera Mera no mi to help her fight against DD, I assume she doesn't have a DF.

Vergo and Monet are more like Miss Valentine and Mr. 5, Luffy and Zoro didn´t need to spend all their power to beat them.

Everything she wants is beat the f*ck out of Dofla, she didn't looked much interested in the Mera Mera.

Vergo was on a completely different level from Monet. And neither Luffy or zoro beat him. Law only did because of his hax DF + haki combination. But vergo still hasn't been beaten by a brawler like smoker or sanji. And he certainly didn't seem all that hurt even after all his fights. Being the right hand man of DD, i definitely can see him showing up later this arc and i doubt the explosion in PH killed him. If anything, the explosion let him free from whatever Law tied him down to.
I kind of view Baby5 and Buffalo as Ms. Valentine and Mr.5 instead. -
Does anyone knows when the chapter will be out, I don't want to go into the spoiler thread.
So are there any updates, like more script/pictures coming in. And is the spoiler confirmed ?
If anyone who has read the spoilers please be so kind to answer me this without spoiling anything of the plot I would be grateful.
Thank you

And Buffalo and Baby5 are more like this guys;
-
I still think Vergo is the strongest crew member in Doflamingo's crew, stronger than the 3 main players Dofla has which I'd imagine are his strongest members currently in his country.

We got spoilers, but they're from a different person than the one who provides the Raws. They are fairly short (and most likely not the complete chapter).
Raws should come out tonight, at the usual time.
-
I could see vergo making his entrance in dressrosa after the 3 seats lose. Maybe Monet will be with him. I could see the monster trio each beating 1 seat and then later on fighting against another opponent (Luffy/Law vs DD, sanji vs vergo) and maybe zoro will fight Fujitora to build him up as his future admiral opponent.
-
I hope the chapter will be out when I wake up.

Oh yea today is tuesday! xD

???????
She's clearly aiming for the fruit

Yeah, to get revenge on Dofla.

new chap is out, so somebody make a new thread :) -
@Miss:
Wow. Kuma slimmed down.
And lost about five feet of height.
Well, Bartolomeo is not Kuma, as proved in this last chapter, butmy theory is that the human Kuma was rebuilt by Vegapunk so to be "DF free". Maybe because he wanted another fruit, but most probably because he wanted to change life. So we'll see the real human (not the robot) Kuma sometime soon.
