@ Schuechterling:
I do consider the success of an attack a factor. ;)
Then we agree to disagree. If some1 is shooting (any and or all) 10, 20, 200, 1000 or more shots at you, (like Kizaru with his light jewels attack, many possible hundreds/ thousands at Law's sub), (using their fruits seemingly endless, non-draining), even if just as a, purposeful, distraction(or not) to land the real " non fruit related strike. Why ignore the totality, for the especially narrowed down details, IMHO? Basically, if even if they, or rather especially if they never expected those hits to land, why still feel the need to fire them.
Let me explain why I do not see Logia users being able to only depend on their DF, in a serious fight.
Read my post again. Technically don't argue against this^^^.
Instead I Said something similar to they 'rely' or rely heavily on, now, as it is/ or has been shown IMHO. The difference between "dependence", and "reliance"; (IMHO slightly exaggerated manga/ anime way), would be: dependence = like a junkie with a long term habit depends on the substance to live, as they would think, an absolute necessity
reliance = like some other person not yet a junkie that enjoys/ revels/ indulges/ very often uses (in) the 'substance' too much, and for too long a periods. Eventually they could 'slowly', or not, devolve into 1 who might become "dependent" on it. (somewhat also refers to next quotation below)
If they fight in their Logia form, they are starting to spread their real body, which makes them a bigger target (like CC).
Assumed that, if they are using an element attack without a connection to their real body, that they’ll lose direct control over the attack.
Understand this, though don't see how the (highlighted) end is as relevant and limited; as you make the limited choices, above^^^ + below?…
The user would have to choose, either being a bigger target or having a weaker attack, which is easy to dodge.
This would force them, to have an individual fighting style in combination with real attacks and won't let them get op.
My point being, (continued from above), logias are somewhat similar to beings throwing javelins/ spears/ shields/ arrows/ bullets/ "ammunition" when these logias are "throwing/ launching/ shooting" their elements in pretty much any way they do it( as in any way, shape, or form such as fireballs, or extended molten fists). Once it's "thrown/ launched/ shot out" it's pretty much is going to go in 1 direction, and could only go in that 1 direction regardless. There is no real "sacrifice" of speed, impact/ power, or control, at least that can be seen so far. They were never gonna have 'control' 'the whole time', anyway. Thus the bottom sentence^^^, is not as seemingly necessary/ possible as you make it seem.
Especially with there being only 1 clearly distinctive example of haki, and this being incomplete, because it could be seen as needing all 3 just to block WB's power because of inadequacies on a singular basis; thus lacking in : "to have an individual fighting style in combination with real attacks and won't let them get op"
Then, ( I'll give you Kizaru since his was mostly attacking from a distance), but, Akainu, and Ao Kiji(albeit much less) VS WB could be seen as more serious 1 VS 1 fights; What exactly prevented them from fighting this way then?
Nothing but themselves, it would seem.
Based on this, I hope for a logia based fighting style for Sanji, which depends on kicks with DJ instead of big fireballs or fire kicks.
Like a burning floor, which he does not control and his legs and body flying everywhere through the flames, kicking the *** out of his opponent.
So…
In possibly the easiest terms to simplify communication; I can at least see from others POV, why Sanji could 'possibly needs' to get 'stronger', + understand a bit,
but don't understand why...
Why switch from a battle hardened close up brawler style to a basically completely, consistently different " logia based fighting style for Sanji"; (+ the equivalent vice versa of …), + not see that either way wastes the core cornerstones/ beginning very established foundations, to his present 'own unique' style?
These (highlighted in some way, (especially the "which he does not control " part),all seem in conflict with each other, and in 'styles', as a complete idea…
@DARK RITUAL:
And why I can see Sanji with the Flame-Flame fruit is-
Random people in the world: Did you hear one of Strawhats nakama ate his late brothers fruit
Another random: ehhh really?
1st random: yeah it's big news that's spreading around the world now.
2nd random: so even after death, looks up Ace is still protecting his little brother!
3rd random: but which nakama ate the fruit?
1st random: the one called "Black leg Sanji".
3rd random: never heard of him..
1st random: haven't heard of him aswell until recently, but I heard his already a monster without a DF! They say one of his kick can sink a ship and can cause a sinkhole on land.
2nd random: WHATTT??? Someone that strong eating the mera mera no mi? And his not even the captain plus the "pirate hunter Zoro" people call a demon.
3rd random: And child of the devil "Nico Robin". That's one scary crew I don't want to ever cross path with at the sea.
And ironically a good reason I don't see Sanji eating the fruit. Take out all the parts I highlighted pertaining to the fruit, and Ace, and Sanji sounds like more of a Bad- @$$ terror than he does with the fruit; and add to that that this^^^^ gives way too much credit to Ace in itself, like he was some undying immortal pirate that still had to look after his brother. At this point in the story why would it be a good thing for the dead guy to look after his alive and severely more powerful (than he was previously) brother?…
WT?...
@ DARK_RITUAL:
I have said it before and will say it again, this 100% fact(well for me): no Strawhats nakama will ever eat the Flame-Flame fruit except Sanji, so either Sanji from the crew eats it or an outsider will then. If an outsider eats the fruit then Oda made a bad move, Ace was Luffys brother so someone like Luffys family should eat it and that's either his crewmates, Sabo, or Garp(Coby may be his friend but I don't think Luffy sees him as a family).
What if some1 steals it but it becomes something we don't see for a while, then it becomes an even more impactful factor in the next/ last huge war of OP series?
With no 1 necessarily "eating it"?
@ Jackermeister:
This has been said countless times already but… If his fire abilities improve much more, the Mera Mera becomes useless.
This has also been said many times before but… Oda has clearly put these as 2 separate forces, 1. fire and 2. w.e. Sanji does( In fact has it ever really been called straight out "Fire/ flames" of Sanji?), (Wasn't it mostly described as heat/ spices/ burning / hot pain (like Jabura described when getting hit)), By keeping them separate, they each have their separate, differing uses. By combining them into 1 person, especially being the originator of 1 Sanji, then Sanji's w.e. separate "uniqueness", and the mera mera no mi become 1 useless combination that wasn't needed in the 1st place. 1 inevitably snuffs out the recognizable 'distinction' of the other. Even at that seemingly great expense, of what Oda has gone thru in separating them in the 1st place?
@ CCC:
On-topic: Franky's use of the word "memento" makes me think that nobody is eating the fruit any time soon. They'll just put it in the ship's vault for the time being.
16 characters of .. Exactly.
Was gonna ask if "memento's" translation was as 'indicative' of the English use of the same word. ^^^Guess this could be the answer?…
