Throw them out of power and set up an international peace-keeping force involving the UN to keep peace on the island in the aftermath made of up neutral nationalities.
Democratic elections could be held again, and talks could begin to settle down the tension. With Turkey staying away from it and letting the Cypriots make their choices.
The peace between them in the ensuing fourty years speaks to the ability to solve the situation this way.
Turkey would be hailed as a hero, even Greek Cypriots would eventually probably look up to you. The villain instead would be soley Greece for their backing of the coup and Enosis driven extremists. They would still unseat their dictators, but be shamed in the aftermath all the same. Turkey aiding the island could even begin a reconcilliation between Greeks and Turks as peoples and neighbors. Certainly among Cypriots of both groups.
Lessons used here could also be applied to your shameful conflict with the Kurds, and Turkey would hold powerful diplomatic influence on the Israel/Palestine conflict potentially as well.
Instead you committed war crimes against the entire Greek population north of the green line. And created a poor backward rump state for the Turkish Cypriots stuck in diplomatic limbo with zero recognition from anyone except you. Which is a pretty amazing anti-achievement.

Their churches however were attacked by the Turkish army, and most have since been repurposed into other types of buildings. I saw that with my owns eyes as well. I've been to both sides of the island, this is first hand material you're arguing against here. I mean what are you gonna do? Argue against things I literally looked at?

The embargo is again your fault, because of what you did. The international community cannot in any kind of conscious recognize that sort of state creation as legitimate or it becomes de facto accepted. There would be no embargo without Turkey.

The Annan plan required among other things, anti-democratic reforms (the Turks had more representation) and had Turkish and Greek troops deployed as peacekeepers which is a terrible idea. And the Greeks haven't denied anything, remember the coup I mentioned? Nikos Sampson was the leader of the Greek extremists, he was tried and convicted for his crimes by the Greeks without the Turks even being involved. They've atoned for those criminals in their midst.

They employed Turks as the minority in positions of power like police. This is something they have done elsewhere in their old Empire, they did it in Sri Lanka with the Tamils and the Sinhalese. The Tamils were empowered as the minority over the majority, creating hatred.
Hell, they did it with my ancestors in Ireland. They moved Scottish and English Protestants to Ireland as an empowered minority over the Catholic majority Irish.
Cyprus was the same. Other empires have done this as well. Ever heard of the Rwandan genocide? Product of the same policies by Germany then Belgium.
